Funky Chicken :)

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday to all.

I'm sharing another card made using Jane's Dancing Chickens stamp set from Woodware.

Again I coloured this in using Koi Pens - no blending - and outlined the image using a white Sakura Jelly Roll Pen.

I made the background using Distress Inks and made the circle by cutting a large circle die, using the negative part as a mask and adding the inks using a Vaessen Creative blending brush

I then spritzed water over it to give it an eggshell sort of texture.  I then used the die cut to cover up the background and added more ink around the outside before stamping the chicken, colouring it in and adding an outline and detail with the Jelly Roll pen.

I'm rather of fan of these cute chicks I have to say. I hope you like it as well. Thank you for stopping by today and see you soon with some more cards.

Hugs to all, Dawny xx

Chop Chop Chop

Hello lovelies and hope you are all OK.

The card I'm sharing today was inspired by a birthday card sent to me by my crafty bestie Christine.

And ....

... this is what I did.

I used another Woodware stamp - this is Dancing Chickens designed by the loveliness that is Jane Gill. I coloured it very simply with Koi brush pens then cut it out.

The letters are from this die here -

... it's the

Birthday - Sue Wilson - Craft Die & Stamp Set

and all I did was cut out the letters I wanted and coloured them in.

Do you know how many words you can get from 'birthday'?
It's quite a lot to be fair lol.

If you get stuck, an on line anagram sorter will help you.

I just added some details to match the stamp and added some white Posca pen to colour them in.

Easy peasy!!

Then I stuck it all together ....

 ... like this.

This is definitely a technique I will use again.

I hope you like my zingy funky chicken card and thank you for stopping by today.

Stay safe an well and I'll see you soon xxx

No Place Like Gnome :)

Well hello lovelies. I realised that I haven't blogged in aaaaaages (naughty naughty) but I hope this post finds you all well and staying safe.

I thought I'd share a little gnome creation I made using one of the fab Woodware stamps.

This one is Little Gnome designed by Francoise Read and I love him.

And this is what I did. He was coloured with Copics and I've added some Glossy Accents to the hearts. You can't really see it here but on the last pic you can see how shiny they are.

I added some spots using a white Posca Pen and some faux stitching using a black Micron pen. I also outlined the image using clear glitter.

Some things never change - I couldn't help myself and I had to add a nice black and white gingham bow and a heart button!!  You can really see how shiny the hearts on in this pic.

Right well I do have quite a few cards which  I haven't yet blogged (as you can imagine lol),  so I'll add them shortly and I'll see you again soon.

Huggiest of hugs, Dawny xx

PTW (and a bit more yellow xx)

No, I haven't gone doolally pippers (well no more than usual lol xx) and got me PTW weeks mixed up. I thought that I would carry on the yellow theme this week and do another card for Steph to use for her appeal. So I've used Katharina's awesomely fabulous sketch but stayed with the yellow colourway - et voila xxxx

The image is from my lovely new Magnolias Fall set - Giggling Tilda, she is sooo sweet - and the beautisimous ribbons are from Poppicrafts (have you checked out the DT call yet my luvveerlies??? No?? Well, mosey on over and have a look here). The fab and gorge paper is PP and the sentiment is Woodware.

Right, I am off to administer some TLC to my youngest who has a rotten cold - on top of shingles, poor kid. So she wants some of her mammas home made vegetable soup cos it is the only thing she says that will make her better. So the baguettes are in the oven warming up and in 5 minutes or so, she will be a happy bunny. Well happier lol xxxx

See you manana xxxxx

Brand New Fabbytastic Stamp

Guess what arrived here today??? Only my new
Sugar Nellies Home Grown Santa stamps from Funky Kits!!
I only ordered them yesterday as well!! So I thought I would put them to good use and do a challenge - like ya do lol xxx

This is my card for this week's Ismaki challenge which is based on a sketch. The papers are Funky Hands Funky Little Christmas and that red paper I found in my 12 x 12 box which shouldn't have been there (see previous post lol xx). The ribbons are Raspberry Ribbons and a tiny bit I found in the bottom of my ribbon stash. The green has not showed up at all well here and it actually looks a lot nicer in real life.

Finally here is a quick peek at another gorgeous ribbon from the new Raspberry Ribbons kit which I think Caroline has named after me.

It's called Fat 'n' Funky lol xxx

The papers are PP and also Funky Fairy's Blue Christmas. I really like this kit - there are some gorgeous papers in there. The image is from the new Woodware Christmas Ribbon Tree set. I am going to be using this set on the next Creative Pastimes workshop cos it is juts so yummy - I love it.

And finally, some sad news ......

The pink hair is gone - I am now just brown.

Well not just any old brown, oh no!! Velvet brown if you please!!!

By L'Oreal, cos I'm worth it lol xxx

My badger- like roots were practically down to my ears and I couldn't wait to get an appointment, so for the first time in **** years (actually, the first time ever in my entire life) I got me a home dye your hair, hands, towel and bath kit. And Emma put it on for me using an old pastry brush. Well it wasnt old but it's sadly now gone to pastry brush heaven , but it's gone with the most amazing tan!!!. She has done a great job as well and we both like it, but I am missing my lovely pink highlights.

They may well return. A bit like me tomorrow xxx

I just noticed as I went to post this that I am now over 5000 hits - thank you to everyone who has come to visit - so once the other blog candy is finished, we will have another soooper doooper fabitastic giveaway peeps so stay tuned xxx

Right this is another of my 2 in one challenge cards. I'm not trying to cheat honest, it's just that I am sometimes up to my eyes in stuff but I just love doing the challenges so this way I can get more done. PLUS it does challenge me to try and do combinations. This is for PTW - to die for - using a die cut on your card and also Cute Card Thursday - xmas cards. This is my first crimbly card of the year. Paper is PP and the cute stamp is Penny Black which I got from Butterfly Kisses. Ribbon is Poppicrafts and the die cut is from a Sizzlet set.
If you haven't checked out the new challenge over at Kazan & Lauras 2 sketches 4 you, you are missing a treat. This is going to be a really popular challenge cos they are both soooo talented. The first one is Laura's sketch. Paper is PP and the blooms and ribbons are Poppicrafts as is that completely FAB little silver frame. It cost something daft like 79p and it is just so lovely
This one is Kazan's sketch. The ribbons are from the ever so fabulous Raspberry Ribbons June kit which is pink, naturally xx The dahlia blooms I got the other day from Crafts U Love and they are just so pretty. The little sparkly centre is part of the kit - fab xx Buttons are Poppicrafts and the sentiment is Craftwork Cards.

Thursday, 15 May 2008

Hello peeps. Thank you so much for your lovely e-mails asking if I was ok - mmmmwwwaaahhhh xx. I have just had sooo much stuff going on lately, and my poor old blog has been a bit neglected - slap slap. I am going to have a blog hop fest over the next few days, but sorry for not stopping by recently. I have missed looking at all your fab stuff so I will be catching up asap.

Now first things first - my blog candy. As promised, I am definately going to put somthing on here next week. I am going to Bolton on Sunday so I will get something yummy scrummy to celebrate my 3000 hits. Anyone else going btw? Also, I have to say a big sorry to my lovely ladies at Saughall Card Club. They did some brilliant stuff last month (as always) which I never got around to posting - shame on me!! They have once again done some wonderful stuff for our challenge this month, and that will be going on the blog very soon, so keep watching folks cos there is going to be a lot going on over the next few weeks.

To celebrate the fact that I am now back in the land of the living, I did a couple of challenges. I have a couple more to do and will post them soon as lolxx.
This is Rainbow Ladies challenge. I have never done one of her challenges before but I am sure I will be again cos she has some nice stuff going on. This week is challenge 13 - in the garden and this is my card for that. The stamp is by Funstamps - Stick Leg Gardener - and I have had this for so long that I couldn't even tell you where I got it from, but it is sort of cute I thought. The wellies and little flowers are from Woodware In The Garden set, the paper is PP and the blooms, brads and ribbon is Poppicrafts.
This is my Tilda challenge and it is challenge 19, black and white - great challenge cos I love black and white. Tilda sitting on a present was paper pieced with PP papers and there is some glitter and Glamour Dust and gorgeous ribbon from my stash. Those cuteeee little buttons are from Mich @ Poppicrafts and I stuck some gems in the middle of them.
This next one didn't photograph well - I might have another go and re-do it and re-post. This is Dino, the new download from PP. Paper is PP as well and there is some gold Glamour Dust on there. He has a little star round his neck, which reminded me of Rodney in Emmerdale, but this little fella is probably a bit younger lol xxx Check out his diamond earring - how cool is he!!! Sort of Keith Richards meets the Blues Brothers. I loves him xxxxx
This one is for my friends little girl's birthday. I just got one of those spring templates and I really like using it - it's just a bit different and great for kids cards I think. The stamp is Woodware - Fairy Delight, and the paper is PP.
