BINGO & Thieving Beggars :)

Hi sweet peeps and hope you are all OK today :)
What a few days we've had - more later.

Firstly, it’s time to nip across the pond and join our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week our theme is

Choose A Sketch

and these are the sketches you can chose from ...

Sketch 1                                                                                     Sketch 2

We are showcasing  Art Impressions products this week.
You don't have to use them of course , but if you have them we would love to see them.

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

… right here :)

So ….

 Picture-002web

... here's what I did.
I went with sketch 1 - I played a bit fast and loose with it as Mrs Kath would say!!

Picture-006web

Is this not a fab image!!!

She's called Bingo Jean and I coloured her with these Copics -

Skin - E000, E00, E11, E13
Hair - E07, E09, E97
The rest - Black, C00, C04, C7, R05, E50, R27, YR0000, YR00, YR01, YR23

Picture-005web

The papers are My Mind's eye Lime Twist and the dies I used are a Magnolia PEONY PETALS Doohickey Cutting Die and a Spellbinders CLASSIC SCALLOP Edgeabilities Die.

I also added a little stamen made with a Nellie Snellen STAMEN Floral Punch.

So that's the old card done.

Well it's been a funny few days here because on Saturday night (or rather 2.30 am Sunday morning) we were woken up by the sound of some low life trying to jemmy off our patio door!! They had tried the back door and got nowhere with it and then decided to try and get the patio door off and get in that way. I really do think they thought the house was unoccupied because although our cars were here, our upstairs and downstairs curtains were not drawn (yes, very stupid of us I know).

And they were not exactly quiet.

I ran to the window just in time to see a shadow disappearing but by the time we got downstairs they had gone. The patio door was starting to hang off so with a bit more work they would have been in. I think the sound of Daisy Golightly here bounding across the floor to the window must have disturbed them (and if I had gotten my hands on them I would have done more than disturb them, I can tell you).  We have recently put a new wooden floor into our bedroom and you can hear anybody moving over it downstairs. Thankfully the dinks were not here because that really would have completely freaked me out.

The police came and they were going to send in tracking dogs but as it was raining, it wouldn't really have been prudent, so basically they got away. But that said,  they actually got away with nothing!! But they've left behind one very nervous piggy now so we have really gone to town on our security systems and have new cameras installed that enable us to monitor what is going on around our property from anywhere in the world. It's expensive but it's a small price to pay for more peace of mind.

I get so angry when I think that these thieving toe rags would rather come and nick from people who have worked hard to get what they have rather than get off their (all too often drug addled) arses and find a job - 'scuse the French!! I have been reading all about it and most burglars say that it doesn't matter if they steal from us because we are insured. They do not take into account the legacy they leave their victims with. The irony of it all is that although we do have a nice house, we don't actually have that much in here because we aren't that materialistic. And if they had gone in my craft room and saw the tip it is in at the mo, then God knows what they'd have thought!!

In a way it has been a blessing because it has forced us to review the situation, and also it could have been much worse. Apart from 2 damaged doors and 2 even more shaken up people, there was no real harm done and we got off very lightly. The police think our house was being watched for a few days and I did tell my my card club ladies on Monday night that I had been a bit uneasy about a car that was parked nearby. I made out that I was taking down their number and they actually reversed back when they saw me doing this. It may have been just a coincidence but I don't suppose we will ever know.

Anyway that's me done for today.
Have the fabbiest of days and see you soon as soon and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Scuse my little rant the other day but I was soooo hopping mad – you may have noticed – that I had to vent a bit!!!

So ….

Picture 001

… this is what I did.

I used my new Tilda image and coloured her with these Copics -

Skin -  E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R02

Hair – E43, E50, E81

The rest – C00, C1, C3, C4, C5, G99, R02, R17, R27, R59, YG0000, YG00, YG03, YG23

The papers are from the My Minds Eye Life of The Party 6 x 6 Paper Pack – those colours are amazing.

Picture 004 copy

The bloom in the centre is made from a Mini Rolled Roses Die-Namics Die set and I sat it on a Magnolia Doily Flower which I’d coloured with Copics YG0000. I used a Martha Stewart Frond Leaf punch for the leaves.

Picture 005 copy

I put the sentiment which I printed out onto  SAFMAT Self-Adhesive Printing Film onto a die cut made from a MFT Bracket Tab Die-Namics die. I really love the shape of this :)

Picture 002

Picture 003 copy

So there’s the old card done,.

I am once again doing the mad dash thing cos I am out of the door in about 5 minutes so best get me skates on!! If you get a sec do nip over and check out the challenge peeps cos there are some fab pieces of work to be seen over there.

Pink & Lime :)

Picture 012c copy

Hi there sweet peeps and hope you are all OK today.

It’s  blowing  a gale here and the rain has been quite bad. So I do hope it’s better where you are :(    We have our Easter Egg hunt here on Sunday and I am praying it won’t rain!!!

Fingers crossed!!

So today we are heading off over to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and we have a fab theme for you. This week we want you to

USE your FAVOURITE TOOL

and as always there is a …….

… which our lucky winner will get to spend ….

Simon Says Stamp

… right here )

Picture 007c copy copy

So this is what I did and my fave tool has to be my good old …..

*GC-001 Spellbinders Grand Calibur Cut & Emboss Machine

Grand Calibur

I use this practically on every card I do and I would be lost without it.

So my card features good old Tilda and I coloured her with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R20

Hair – E35, E41, E43, E50, E81

The rest – E50, E81, G99, RV0000, RV00, RV29, Y11, Y15, Y17. Y38YG0000, YG00, YG03,

I mixed the papers today and they are from these paper packs -

*American Crafts Dear Lizzy NEOPOLITAN 6 x 6 Paper Pad      *My Mind's Eye 6 x 6 LIFE OF THE PARTY Paper Pad LT1113

If you do the clicky piccie thing it will take you straight to the shop :)

Picture 010c copy

I got the old sewing machine out – not done that for a while!!

I also used one of the Memory Box dies over a mat made with a  Martha Stewart PATP punch :)

I also brought out the Magnolia leaf and swirl die which is probably in my top ten fave tools to be fair.

Picture 011c copy

I also used one of the gorgeous Peony Petals dies and topped it with a Magnolia Doily Flower and a rolled rose. Instead of using a leaf die, I had a scrap of old ribbon in my stash so I used that to make the leaf instead!!!

It looks quite snazzy I think :)

Picture 008c copy copy

Picture 009c copy

So there you go chicks.

I am on a real flyer today cos I have so many things to do that I don’t even want to think about it so please excuse the mad dash here. I’ll say toodle pip and see you all soon.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Zingy, Springy & Anythingy :)

Picture 007c copy

Morning lovely peeps and hope you are all OK today.

It’s the 29th February today so it’s the one day out of 1461 days when us girlies get our chance to  propose.  It makes me slightly uncomfortable in a way because if they didn't ask you in the 1460 days before (or however long you have been with them for), then part of me would be thinking that maybe they weren't really up for it.

Or maybe I am just a cynical old moo with about as much romance in my soul as a fish finger!!!!

Anyway, this is me on my wedding day. I really did kiss a frog didn't I lol!!

untitled2

Anyway enough of this leap year nonsense!! It’s time to nip overt and check out what;s happening at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and today we have one of your fave themes cos

Anything Goes

so fill your creative boots and have fun.

There is as always a whopper of a …

… which one lucky girlie can spend ….

Simon Says Stamp

… right here.

The DT are showcasing My Mind's Eye products this week so if you have any we would love to see you use them but you don’t have to if you don't want to.

So I did ….

Picture 001c copy

… this bad boy here.

The papers I used are from one of my fave ever MME papers, the Life of the Party 6 x 6 pack.

The image is of course Tilda & Her Bunny and I coloured her with Copics in these colours -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R20

Hair – E25, E35, E47. E50, E81 and check me out doing a brunette Tilda …. but doing it quite badly :(

The rest – E43, E81, RV0000, RV000, RV00, RV10, RV29, YG0000, YG00, YG03, YG95

Picture 004c copy

No Tilda swirl die today – I gave it a day off for good behaviour.

I went for the Magnolia Doily Flower die instead. I inked the edges then added a bit of glitter, then made a rolled flower which I topped off with some bling.  To finish it off I added a couple of leaves punched using a  Martha Stewart Frond Leaf punch.

Picture 006c copy

The shape behind the image was cut using a die from the Spellbinders Fleur de Lys Motifs Shapeabilities set.

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

So there you go me darlins. If you get a sec, nip over and check out the challenge.

So that’s it from moi today and I’ll see you tomorrow with something fairy-ish!! Have a fab day and mind yer joints when you are getting down on one knee to propose lol!!! But if you are planning on doing it, good luck and fingers crossed that he says yes. He would be mad not to wouldn't he :)

Huggiest  of leap year hugs to all xxx

Where’s The Blonde???????

Picture 001c copy copy

Morning sweet peeps and hope you are all OK today :)

It’s a tad warmer this morning thankfully – not quite tropical but at least it’s above freezing now.

It’s that time of the week when we hop over the pond and catch up with what’s happening at the  Simon Says Stamp Challenge

and this week our Domi has done a sketch for us ….

… and here it is.

As always, Heidi is giving a whopper of a prize …..

to one lucky winner which they can spend ….

Simon Says Stamp

… here.

So what did I do then?

Picture 001c copy

Ta daaaaaa, it’s this bad boy here.

Like I said  on yesterday’s post, I decided to give this little sweetie darker hair than I usually do so she is a mid brown, sort of coppery colour. Which is quite like myself I guess, but the difference is that I am desperately trying to get rid of the brown / pink / red colours from my hair and go back to my own colour. I didn't realise that  it would take sooooooooo long to sort it out but hopefully before too long I will be there (pleeeeeeeeze hurry up!!)

So maybe this was a subliminal thing?

Picture 005c copy

Anyhoos, enough rambling about me barnet – the image I used here is CC Designs Sweetheart Birgitta and I coloured her with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R11, R20

Hair – E25, E29, E35, E51, E71

Clothes – C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C7, Black, R05, R17, R27, R59

I also dabbed a bit of Glossy Accents onto her shoes so that they looked like patent leather – I made a complete hash of it if I’m being honest,  but never mind!!!

The papers are My Minds Eye 6 x 6 Life of The Party paper pack – love these :)

Picture 004c copy

Not too much faffing with the flowers today and I think the simplicity of them is right for the card cos the colours are very strong and anything too fancy wouldn’t look quite right.

IMHO of course!!

I used dies from the Spellbinders Rose Creations set and just added a Hero Arts  little gem in the centre, and  I trailed some pearls along the side as well. You can find all them all here.

I cut the circle from a Grand Circle Nestabilities set  and edged it with some cut up bits of a strip of  paper lace made with a MS Eyelet Lace PATP Punch.

I seem to be getting slightly addicted to the sewing - you may have noticed lol!!

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

So there you go and that’s me done for today. I’ll be back tomoz with some more cardage so I say toodle pip and see you then. If you get a sec, do nip over and check out the DT cards cos as always they are pretty darn good :)

Have the fabbiest of days and hugs to all xxx

Papertake Peekly!!!!

Picture 005c copy

Hi there peeps and hope you are all OK today :)

It’s time for a bit of Papertake Weekly seeing as it’s Tuesday,  and this week our theme is …

Die Cute Special

… so it’s time to get the dies out and make a cutie patootie of a card :)

This week we are sponsored by The Stamp Fairy and there is a yummy voucher up for grabs so nip and check it out chicksies if you get a sec.

Picture 001c copy

So this is what I did.

I used a Stamp Fairy image and this is Molly Peekers – I think she is so sweet.

I coloured her with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R11, R20

Hair – E41, E42, E43, E50

Clothes etc – G99, R85, RV01, YG0000, YG00. YG01, YG03

The papers are from the  My Mind's Eye 6 x 6 Life Of The Party Paper Pad – I just love the colours in those papers. The border was die cut using  the Memory Box MINI SCALLOP Craft DIE 98117. Both the papers and die were from Simon Says Stamp.

Picture 004c copy

I did one of me flower thingies and again this uses the Spellbinders Rose Creations die set (Simon Says Stamp), a gorgeous pink two tone blossom from The Ribbon Girl  and a Martha Stewart BRANCH Craft Punch M230367  (also Simon Says Stamp).

Picture 0011c

I LOVE this ribbon – well I love all ribbon if truth be told!!

This is 38mm Fuschia Pink/White Spot Organza and it’s from The Ribbon Girl :)

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

So that’s the old card done and I’m doing a runner cos I’ve  literally just got back in from Kyla’s birthday tea and I am knackered quite frankly!!! Yes my little treasure is 6 today – I cannot quite believe it. It won’t be long before her little sister is here (yes, we now know it’s a little girl, aww :)

But before I go, I’ll leave you with a sneakie peekie of tomorrow’s card which is the easiest card ever but so effective and I am so pleased with how it turned out…...

Picture 001c copy copy

… and on that note I’ll say night night and see you tomoz.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx
