Hi chicksies and hope you are all OK today :)
I thought we were in for a lovely day today cos there was the most beautiful sunset here last night (red sky at night and all that) but it’s grey, damp and miserable. Oh well, it might brighten up later on.
Today over at the Lili Of The Valley Thursday challenge we have a colour challenge for you and it is
Peach & Green
which isn't a combi I used often but it’s quite pretty so maybe that will change.
We are sponsored by 2 of the nicest people in the land of blog and they are Paul & Siri from Wild Orchid Crafts

And this ….

… is the prize that is up for grabs this week :)
So here’s the old card.
I saw some cards recently in the new Magnolia mag where the corners had been chopped off and liked the idea so I thought I’d do that on this one – just for something a bit different!!!
I used Birthday Fairy and coloured her with these Copics -
E00, E21, R11 (skin), E40, E42, E50 (hair) E0000, E02, E11, E93, E95, W00, W1, W3, YG0000, YG01, YG23
The papers are Nitwits – Buds ‘n Blossoms :)
I used a Magnolia Doo Hickey Die – Old Swedish Lace – to trim one of the elements and these are available from T at Dies To Die For (have you seen the new stuff in btw? Just to give you the heads up, today is release day for the new High Hopes images and there are new Nesties in as well :)
The flowers I used here are from the new LOTV Additions range and I coloured them and blinged them up to within an inch of their lives lol!!!
I have a bit of good news re this collection :)
It was originally due to be released on 19th April but it has been decided to bring the date forward to 14th April, so not long now. And of course, if you are going to Alexandra Palace this weekend they will also be on sale there.
The peach tulle started out as plain old white but I gave that the Copics treatment so it matched Fairy’s top cos I like them all to match!!.
I did the same with the Wild Orchid Crafts self adhesive pearls
The sentiment is LOTV and I stamped it directly onto the card – how brave (or had it have gone wrong, that would have been how stoopid!!!)
This is a Marianne Design Creatables Die - Swirl – LR0118 which are available from Dies To Die For and I blinged that up as well. It reminds me of one of those sugar jelly dummies that are oh so good for your teeth (not!!)
The lil old butterfly punch is yonks old and I have no clue where I got it from, soz lovely peeps.
So there is the old card all done.
We went for a nice walk last night along the cycle track near here and Kyla rode her bike for the first time since last year. She was as wobbly as anything to start with but she soon got back into it. She managed to steer into a nettle patch (ouch) and land a bit awkwardly on the bar of her bike (oooh double ouch!!). But on the way back she did brilliantly. Fearless aren't they!!! I remember the first time I got on my bike after about 20 years and I had to keep getting off to go round corners – what a wimp!!!
And talking of wobbly, she has now lost her 2 bottom baby teeth. Aww!! She was eating some ice cream last night and it kept slipping between the gap!!! Did you know that the going rate for the tooth fairy nowadays is £2!!! Jeez, in my day I was lucky to get 3d – yes 3D!! That said, inflation has really taken it's toll cos in today's terms it would be the equivalent of about 16p.
Don’t know they are born these young whipper snappers, do they!!!!
Right I am off to the world of finance to do some work (booo hisss!!) but I’ll see you tomoz with me Tilda cardage.
Enjoy your day and hugs to all xxx
