Not A Drop Of Pink In Sight!!!!

Yes, it’s true!!

It won’t last of course but I just fancied a bit of a change :)

Anyway, Happy Friday peeps and it’s time for another Just Magnolia Challenge and there is a super fabby sketch by our Bev

And I loved working with it.

The DT cards this week are awesome. Well they are always fantastic,  but this week they are just gorgeous so nip and have a nosey if you get a sec xxx

I’m scheduling this post because I am out at stupid o’clock on Friday morning so it’s a bit of a shortie today.  I’ll do the goodies list at the end and leave you to enjoy the piccies – there’s quite a few today.

And off we go …….

Mmmmmm, Chocolate & Lace :)

Hi peeps and hope all is good with everyone xxx

This should have appeared on Monday so it’s my better late than never card. Oohhhh what a trauma I had with it - it was just one of many traumas that day I can tell you!!!

So PC probs yet again meant that I was very verry late getting it over to Bev who was just wonderful about it (thank you sweetie xxx) and hugest of apols to her and the rest of the DT.

But it’s sorted now, so here’s my card for the fabulous  Wild Orchid Craft challenge which is

Lovely Lace

No Copics were harmed during the making of this card – I did the cheaty thing again and used one of the awesomely fab die cuts from the equally awesome Lili Of The Valley – and why not!!!!

Picture 001 copy

I agree, lace is just awesome stuff and I cannot stop using it at the mo.

Especially when it’s as pretty as this.

This is one of the  newbies from Paul & Siri and Wild Orchid Crafts and it’s  Guipure lace. It’s 5cm wide and is just beautiful ….

Picture 004 copy

… as are these gorgeous blooms which are also from Wild Orchid Crafts – natch :)

There is a really fab tutorial that our Mindy has done over at the Wild Orchid Crafts blog which shows you how to assemble clusters of flowers - you can see it here . That girl is sooo talented!!

Picture 005 copy

I made a pattern using some of the WOC pearls which you can see here peeps. And the lovely choccie spotty paper is of course a bit of Pink Petticoat yumminess :)  These are not my usual colours at all,  but I have to say that I really like how it turned out.

It’s another shortie here today peeps as I have housework to do, stuff to get ready for a class on Friday and I need to make a dent in the paper mountain on my desk – grrrr!!

Now where is that brush lol !!!

So on that note I better get to it. Any tips peeps on how to cram a quarts worth of jobs into a pint pot sized day? I just wondered when I typed that if there is now a metric equivalent – how sad am I at times!!!!!.

Have a great day and see ya soon if not sooner, and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Pink And Pretty Papertake

Picture 003 copy

Hi peeps and hope everyone is OK xxx

It’s Tuesday and time for another Papertake Weekly challenge (I really don't know where the time goes but the weeks are whizzing by at a scary rate at the mo).

So this week we have a sketch and it’s ...

ptw #45 … this bad boy here.

Picture 001 copy

And here’s what I did with it.

I gave Tilda the Copics treatment  in these delightful shades :) …

E00, E21, E35, E42, E50, G00, G000, G0000, R11, R20, R21, RV000, RV0000, RV10, RV21

I couldn't wait to use the new Pink Petticoat Vintage Rose papers (and I snuck a bit of PP Gingham in as well!!) There’s an offer on these at the mo which ends on Sunday. I really love these as they are really soft and pale.

The little pearls you can see are Wild Orchid Crafts – they’re new in and the range of colours is awesome.   Check them out here lovely peeps .

Picture 003 copy

There’s a trio of Wild Orchid Crafty- ness here. There’s the fab blooms, the drool worthy lace and the pretty pearly pins. All soooo pretty I think.

Picture 004 copy

And of course there’s a bit of dimension as well, cos I don't do flat, as anybody who has seen my belly and bum will testify to :(

I’m off to do some work now so please excuse the short but sweet post peeps.  I’ll be back tomorrow with a ‘better late than never’ card.

See ya then and have a great day and hugs to all xxx

I’m STILL Drooling!!!

Picture 006 copy

Hi chicksters and hope that you are all OK xxx

Its Friday – wooohooo -  and time for another challenge with the Just Magnolia girls and this week we have another wonderful challenge for you. It’s all about vintage and as always, the DT have come up trumps with some gorgeous work to share.

I must say that I changed my card because something arrived at chez piggy which I just HAD to use. Well actually it was 2 things – more in a sec.

Picture 005 copy Now those of you who know me, know that I aint good at this vintage malarkey but I’m quite pleased with how this turned out and I even did a bit of distressing along the way which is nowt short of a miracle for me.

I coloured Tilda with Copics in the following colours -

E00, E20, E21, E35, E42, E50,  RV0000, RV02, RV10, YG000, YG03, YR00

I sprinkled Glamour Dust liberally around the place and as you can see from the pic, forgot to brush it off properly so she has a very glittery arm – doh!!!

This is the reason for the change of plan and also the drooling - check out this guipure  lace. I cannot tell you how gorgeous it is. It arrived in my WOC DT kit and I just HAD to use it. It’s 8.5cm wide, it’s pure white and it’s a  brand new item at Wild Orchid Crafts.

I LOVE it.

The other thing that arrived was my new MS punch around the page bad boy from Tracy at Dies To Die For (you can check them out right  here :) so of course, I had to try it out and I even inked the edges a bit.

This for me is practically living on the edge lol !!!

Do you like her patent leather shoes?

They are courtesy of a good dollop of Glossy Accents. You can hopefully see the papers I used  as well, which are the new GCD Studios Rose Coloured Glasses. They’re so pink and pretty and you can get them from Tracy at Dies To Die For – here’s where they are peeps - and I distressed them as well!!!

The blooms are of course Wild Orchid Crafts and I used one of the new 40mm tea roses and also a couple of deep ivory aster daisies. I’m not sure if you can see it properly but I folded over a short length of pink organza ribbon and stuck the blooms over it.

Picture 008 copy

And there we are.

So another week has gone. I cannot believe that this time last week we were just back from Spain. Emma's partner’s mum who lives there has come back to the UK for a few weeks and has brought Kyla a Spanish outfit to dress up in, along with some pink spotty shoes which she saw out there and fell in love with. If I can get a pic of her I’ll share it with you because it is a sight to behold!!!!!!!!

She wanted us to buy the shoes  for her but they are truly hideous so we didn’t get them and we used the excuse that they were too big for her.  But Tim’s mum is clearly kinder than we are and she went back and got them for her. Kyla was beside herself when she saw them and said ‘ohh I dreamed about these shoes’.

Ohh bless!!!

So I am off to do some work now but have a fabulous weekend and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Cutest Candy & A Lili Christmas – Just For You xxx

Picture 003 copy

Hi peeps and it’s a bit of a Happy Christmas at the old piggy sty today – well it’s too nice to just keep until December :)

I thought it was about time I did another giveaway and doing my card for this week’s Lili Of The Valley challenge sort of got me thinking, so more of that in a sec.

We have a beautiful sketch for you this week by our very own Bev, and …

… here it is.

I LOVED working with it and judging by the wonderful DT cards, I don't think I was alone (do check them out if you get a sec peeps cos they are ohhh so fab :)

Picture 002 copy So this is my take in the sketch.

I didn't get the Copics out today, instead I adopted a Cheaty McCheat approach and used one of the LOTV die cuts. I know I’ve said this before but they are all just fabulous and perfect for your chrimbly cards as all the work is done for you.

I used Warm & Cozy which is one of my faves and I love the fact that it’s traditional Christmas colours as well. I just added a little bit of Glamour Dust to give it a bit of extra sparkle :)

I am getting very addicted to these holly leaves which are of course from the awesome Wild Orchid Crafts and the buttons and twine make nice berries which give a funky look I think.

I didn’t have any green twine, so I just coloured some plain twine with me old Pro Markers (I still have them!!). It’s a tip I got from my lovely blog bud, the fabby Mrs Kath xxxx

paper The border punch is a newie and I would image that it will make more than a few appearances cos it’s gorgeous. It’s the MS Deep Edger Flower bed punch which of course you can get from our Tracy over at Dies To Die For.

It’s a real sturdy beggar this one. I used it on 220gsm card stock and it coped really well.

The paper is Pink Petticoat Stripes and I really like it with this image as it picks up the stripes in their little hats – awwww!! And the little coloured pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts as well – keep checking the website peeps cos they are new in and there are soooo many different colours.

Picture 004 copy

The sentiment is from Lili Of The Valley – they have some fabulous downloadable stuff - you can check them all out here.

And now for a bit of candy :)

As I said before, I LOVE these die cuts – they really are no brainers – and the range is fantastic; there seems to be one for almost every occasion. So I thought it might be nice to put together a little pack of stuff, which includes them, as a giveaway.

The picture isn’t very good I’m afraid peeps …..

… but basically, what you get is 3 LOTV stamps, 10 Christmas Die Cut sheets including the one I used on my card today – it should help you on your way with your Chrizzie makes, and 10 Die Cuts sheets for general card making.

All you have to do is

become a follower if you aren't already,

mention it on your blog and link back to me here, and finally

leave your name with Mr Linky ( but not necessarily in that order lol xxx)

The candy will run for 2 weeks and I’ll get Mr Random Thing to choose a winner and I’ll announce who it is when I do the next LOTV challenge in 2 weeks time so 5th August.

I’ll ship anywhere in the world and there’ll be one or 2 extra goodies in the parcel as well cos it’s nice to have a surprise I think :)

So on that note, I’ll love you and leave you. I hope everyone is well and I’ll see ya tomorra with a bit of Tilda-tastic-ness (if me card is dry by then cos I’ve used something so gorge on it that I sat and drooled all over it – how lovely!!!

Huggiest of hugs xxx

Christmas Cutie :)

Picture 038 copy

Hi peeps and hope everyone is ok xxx

We are back to normal now – or as normal as I ever get!!!! And we had a fab time in Spain -  we were there for the world cup final (yawn yawwwwwn) and seeing as they won, it was nice to be part of it. But it’s nice to be home again cos it was a bit too hot for moi. That said, it is persisting down today – it is really heavy rain as well, so a bit of sunshine wouldn’t go a miss as long as it isn't 40 degrees in the shade :(

So anyhoos, it’s Tuesday and time for another Papertake Weekly challenge which this week is one of my faves cos it’s all about cute, which I LOVE (you might have noticed!!)

11 copy And this image is just total cuteness I think.

She is gorgeous and she is one of the new Lili Of The Valley Christmas  releases and is called Dropping The Shopping. You can see it here lovelies.

I coloured her with Copics which you can get from Tracey at Dies To Die For in these colours -

100, C00, C1, C3, C5, E00, E21, E42, E50, R11, R27, R35, R46, YG0000, YG06, YG63

The papers are both Pink Petticoat and I think grey and red are just fab together for Chrimbly cards, I really do.

Picture 039 copy

The poinsettias and holly leaves are also perfect for a bit of seasonal tarting up and these are both available from the always wonderful Wild Orchid Crafts – you can see the festive flowers here  and holly leaves here chicksters.

Yule love them (sorry – I can’t help it sometimes lol xxx)

This gorge red ribbon is one of my fave things at the mo.  It’s the most fab shade of red and once again you can get it from Wild Orchid Craftshere’s the link. It’s 25mm wide and I wanted something a little narrower for the strip so I just folded it in half and glued the edges together.

Flower Soft in Polar White makes fab snow. Just add a thick line of tacky glue (WOC do a good one) and sprinkle with Flower Soft and leave for a little bit so that it soaks into the glue.

Picture 040 copy

And there’s me card.

I’m still catching up with work so I better get on with it – don't want to get me trotters slapped :(

Have the fabbiest of days and I’ll see you soon if not sooner.

Huggiest of hugs xxx

Our First WOC Challenge :)

Picture 013 copy

And I’m gutted cos I’m not here. Well I am in spirit, so I guess that’s OK :)

So for our very first  Wild Orchid Craft challenge, well it has to be

Say It With Flowers

I just KNOW that this challenge is going to do well and we already have lots of followers.  We cannot wait to see everybody's creations.

Picture 007 copy

And this one is mine.

I wanted my card to be a bit different so I went with much bolder colours than I normally use. The sweet  little Hanglar girl was coloured with Copics in the following colours -

E00, E21, E33, E42, E50, G21, G94, G99, R11, R17, R20, R46

These are  the reason for my colour choice.

The minute I saw these red blooms, I was just itching to use them because they are heavenly, they really are.  The blooms I used here are

35mm large red Wild roses, 20mm ivory open roses, 25mm white hybrid tea roses and 8mm semi open ivory rose buds

Of course they are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and clicking on the name will take you to the right place on the website :)

This ribbon is just gorgeous peeps.

It’s 25mm red organza and this pic does not do it justice. I am sooo going to use this on my Christmas cards this year.

The gorgeous  papers are …..

*NEW* So Sophie - In Love - Splendid Surroundings

The new  My Minds Eye So Sophie - In Love - Splendid Surroundings

*NEW* So Sophie - Never Enough - Daring Dot

The new My Minds Eye So Sophie -  Never Enough - Daring Dot

and both are available  from Tracey at Dies To Die For

Picture 011 copy

And that’s my card done.

I THINK this is my last scheduled post so I am hoping that it’s worked OK (you can never tell with me!!!) Next time I’m here I will be back from the old mini-jollies, probably sunburnt (cos I never seem to learn), and hopefully without too many mishaps to report. And hopefully without putting back on too much of the 16lbs I lost.

Enjoy the challenge and using your blooms and have a great day.

Huggiest of flowery hugs to all xxx

Today, there’s a recipe challenge over at the Just Magnolia Challenge and it is

3 flowers,  2 papers and 1 ribbon

Picture 001 copy So this is what I did with it.

Tilda was coloured with Copics and sprinkled with Glamour Dust which you can maybe just about see.

And the goodies I used for the recipe are ….

3 flowers

3 flowers - of course, they are from the very wonderful Wild Orchid Crafts

2 papers

2 papers – and these are the very new Tim Holtz Idea-ology Vintage Shabby papers which Tracy has over at Dies To Die For.

I’m not saying I like them, but ……………….. ding dong lol !!!!!!
