My 'Heart' Work

Ohh I really must stop doing that - it's awful and it's too early in the morning but sometimes I just cant help meself lol xxx

Anyway it's all about this weeks Anyone For Anya cos we have a heart shaped theme and our challenge is Heart 4 Heart's Sake (not much better is it really!!) So we want to see something heart included. The girlies have worked wonders with this challenge so nip over and check out the awesome cardage peeps.

We've also got a brand new DT member and she is the one and only Julie - we are so thrilled that she has joined us cos her work is just brilliant :)

So enough from old waffle chops here - this is what I did.

I used this fab image - she's Sassy Suzi and she's available from the wonderful Tracy over at Dies To Die For. You can see her here :)

She was coloured and blinged with my dynamic duo of PMs and Glamour Dust :))x

Now for the paper!!!
Well the dope has struck yet again - although to be fair I have had a good run the last few weeks. But I decided to use the gorgeous Pretty Doodles from Pink Petticoat because a) it's just the prettiest, and b) it has hearts included in the design.

So what did I go and do?

Cover up the hearts on the DP with the image!!!
I amaze myself at times!!!!

But just to prove they are there, here's a bit where you can see them!!

And I did put a couple of heart buttons on as well.
These are so pretty but I have not the first clue where I got them cos I've had them for ages!!!

The ribbons is very like me - wide and spotty!!
I got this from Poppicrafts and I love it xxx

Here's me funny angle pic.

Now before you all think I've gone all arty farty with Photoshop, I haven't (I'm not that clever!!!) The reason why it looks like it's sitting in a bath of dry ice is cos you could see all the card that I'd stood it on to take the pic. So drastic measures were called for. I tried to remove the background but as the base card is white, it didn't work too well.

Never mind.
One of these days I WILL take a course on how to use it and then I might have better pics on here!!!

I'm a bit delicate this morning cos we were out last night.
It was my Aunties 70th birthday party and there were about 40 girls in full party mode. We had a whale of a time!!! I love going out with Richard, of course I do, but going out with the girls is just the best laugh!!! So I'm not hanging about too long here. R and I are out for lunch later on (or maybe dinner - we haven't decided yet) so I'm going to have to wake meself up a bit.

I've got a bit of cardy stuff to do first and then I'll be filling me face again. Now I realise that you've heard it all before but the lardage is in serious overdrive at the mo so tomorrow it's back to the fat club regime for moi!!

This time next year .........

Yes, I will probably still be a porker.

Maybe I should get some of those Alli tablet things form Boots. Do you think they'd work if you carried on eating the same lol xxx That said, I ain't paying nearly £50 for a month's supply. I mean, just think of all the chocolate, cakes and biscuits that could buy lol xxxx

Have a fab week and see you soon lovely peeps.
Hugs to all xxxx

Not Like Me lol xx

Hi peeps and happy Friday xxx

The weekend is nearly here so it can only be good :)
And of course, it's time for another wonderful challenge over at Just Magnolia. This week it is the turn of the very lovely Jay Jay to provide us with a sketch to work with and it's this one ......

.... here!!
And what a great sketch, so hugest of thanks to Jay Jay xx
If you get a sec, nip over and check out the challenge - there's some awesome cardage from the very talented DT girlies as always :)

Their work just blows me away.

Anyway, this is what I did with the sketch.

Now the title of the post is 'not like me' and you've probably gathered that I am talking about the colours. For some reason, I don't tend to use creams and browns, but I thought I'd try something different. Love that tangerine, I really do :)

Some things never change though cos I've still used the PMs.

The paper is truly beautiful and it was a prezzie from Tracy at Dies To Die For but I forgot to ask her which one it was. It's the most subtle of cream with a white pattern which my fabulous photography hasn't picked up too well, but it is just gorgeous.

The good old MSBP is there and that zingy fabby spotty grosgrain ribbon is from Poppicrafts. Check out the gorgeous limited edition ribbon buckets - they are soooo sweet!!

The blooms are a mixture of Hero Arts (from Simon Says Stamp) and Prima (from Dies To Die For) and I just added a teeny gold brad to keep them all together.

I wish I could do flowers like the rest of the DT girls!!!

And here's the funny old angle shot which I do seem to like!!!
And that's the old card done peeps xxx

I'm on a bit of a flyer today (again) cos I have shed loads to do but not shed loads of hours in which to do it!! Wouldn't it be great if we could literally buy time!! I tell you, I would be flippin bankrupt if you could lol xx

But the more I get done today, the more crafty time I can have over the weekend.

Woohooo!!!!

So have a great day and see you soon and huggiest of hugs to all xxxx

Miss Lola da Vinci Meets PTW :)

Yes, here she is. She is Miss Lola da Vinci and she is one of the new Kraftin Kimmie images.

Kimmie is this week's sponsor over at Papertake Weekly, and not only do we have the usual fabby team cards, but Kim and 2 of her girlies have joined us for the challenge as well, so do nip over and check it all out when you get a sec lovelies.

It's wall to wall gorgeousness over there :)

Not only that, but if you fancy joining us for a spot of Papertake GDT-ing, then the details are there as well

So this week, it's time for another sketch .....

It's this little fella....

... and here is what I did with it.

It's another card for a special friend - the same special friend as the last card on here, but I had a mishap with that card so I couldn't send it to her.

She won't be at all surprised to know this cos she knows what a ditzy thing I am and she knows I have dozey mare-itus at the best of times lol xx

Anyhoos, I coloured Miss Lola with PMs and there is the teeniest bit go bling - I wasn't going to do it, but I just couldn't help meself lol xxxx I am addicted to the stuff - maybe I need a bit of bling avesion therapy!!!!

The papers are a selection of MME which are all available from the fabulousness that is Tracy at Dies To Die For. I am getting addicted to these papers as well!!!

The 'hangs head in shame' sentiment is from PP's Tiny Tags and the brad is a randomer from my stash box.

The ribbon is Poppicrafts and I did the coloured twine thing yet again!!!

There's a fair old bit of dimension going on here.

Well we are limping on here but the puter is still seriously unwell and I am having to get a new tower sent up. I have had major probs I really have and I might well end up losing all my papers and downloads.

If that happens I will cry buckets, like real snotty boo hoo cries, I really will.

This has all happened because I picked something up from someone's blog - don't know which one and they are probably not aware that there is a prob. But it's gotten hold of the hard drive and is not responding to any of the usual anti-virus stuff.

So peeps please be careful.

As as result, I am at the moment not able to visit any blogs or leave comments so the hugest apologies to everyone - I feel so bad about that I really do, but until we have this sorted, or until I work out how to use my phone to blog, I dare not take the risk.

So please bear with me lovelies xxx
You are out of sight at the mo but definately not out of mind xxx

It's been a dreadful few days and it wasn't helped by Miss Kyla pressing the defrost button on the freezer last week !!!!!. We found out on Sunday when I went to get something out of there and found a soggy mess. Richard, bless his heart (and I very nearly did), saw her do it but didn't realise that it was the defrost button.

**&^£~!!!!
(major expletives uttered but I won't repeat what I said cos you will only think I am a potty mouth!!).

But you can imagine the scene in our kitchen when this was going on.

On the plus side, we have an empty freezer now, ready to be filled with all manor of yumminess for Christmas. And in the great scheme of things, I guess it isn't that important.

And I will probably laugh about it one day soon.!!

Are you watching I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here?
Ohh wasn't it sad when Gorgeous George left!! And how sweet is Justin!! We think that Gino will probably win - and he is soooo funny!! His filthy dirty chocolate cake thing had us in fits last night.

On that note, my (very large) stomach is thinking that my throat has been cut cos I haven't had me lunch yet, so I am off for some grub. Hope you are all OK and speak soon.

Mahoosive hugs xxxxx

A Little Christmas Magic :)x

I can't believe how quickly this week has gone. It only seems like a day or so ago when I did the Masking Ma-Tilda post.

I wonder if Leann is still singing it? :)))x

I have to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who e-mailed and left comments re my blank page thing yesterday - all very helpful and I am looking to get it sorted - I so appreciate your help lovely peeps xxxx

So it is Friday, the weekend is very nearly here and its time for another awesomely fab challenge over at Just Magnolia. This week it is a beautiful sketch by the loveliness that is Martine .....

And it's this one here. The DT girlies have as always produced some absolute stunners which are sure to inspire you so nip over if you get a sec and check it all out.

So this is my take on the sketch.

I was obviously still in 'masking' mode and these are 2 of the stamps I got from the NEC. But at least Tilda won't get her feet burned sitting on that gorgeous envelope (unlike the fireplace!!)

As always, I coloured her with the old PMs and Glamour Dust combi, and don't forget that you can get your very own bad boys from Tracy at Dies To Die For (as well as some Magnolia-tastic goodies)

The white centre panel has been Cuttlebugged with a Swiss Dots folder, and the brads are Basic Grey which I got from Simon Says Stamp.

The teeny sentiment is from the Pink Petticoat Tiny Tags Collection (have you seen the new Frilly Millies - gorgeous!!) and the ribbon is from a local floristry warehouse

The poinsettia is from Poppicrafts.

Oh yes, the doily punch is back (thank you Martha Stewart!!) and the papers are Funky Fairy's gingham and Liz's PP Stripes.

And that's the old card done!!!.

We are in prezzie wrapping mode today in an attempt to try and get a bit organised ready for Santa's visit!!! It won't work of course and on 24th at 11.30pm no doubt we will still be at it, but it's a start.

I so envy those peeps who serenely glide towards Christmas, with their prezzies bought and wrapped by October, the food all ordered everything sorted in loads of time. Me, I fly by the seat of me pants and I don't glide, I don't even jog towards it.

No, I run at full pelt shouting 'wait for me'!!

It's part of my scatty-ness I suppose and we always get through it without too many disasters (drunk drivers and thieving toe rags not withstanding - full story is here).

So Emma is on holiday today and Kyla's giftage is all out - as is Kyla, which his why we are doing it - as is the paper and then once it's done, it can all go away ready for the fat lad with the beard (no, not Richard, he doesn't have a beard chicksies, and don't feel sorry for him cos you should hear what he says about me lol xxx).

So on that note, I'm off to get some work done and then I can get stuck in and get wrapping.

Have a fab day peeps and see you soon if not sooner.

Huggiest of hugs xxxx

You Will Not Believe This :) xx

It's not at all like me but there is not a bad boy in sight here today.

Yes, not a single Pro Marker has graced my card for this week's Papertake Weekly!! Instead, I used some of the gorge Bazzill card and MME Colourful Christmas papers that the loveliest Tracy over at Dies to Die For sent me.

And as we are being sponsored this week by Heather at Digi Sparkle - fab prize, so check it out if you get a sec ) I used one of their lovely images

Ohh check out these gorgeous colours!!

Not often you'll hear me say this but I actually LOVE this.

So where's the image?
Well it's the tree of course, and I paper pieced it instead of colouring it. Our challenge this week is actually Digi Sparkle so we had to use something digi and add a bit of bling to it.

You can't see it but I outlined the tree with Glamour Dust - some things never change do they lol xxx

Speaking of which, there's a bit of Martha going on here.
Well I couldn't be too different could I lol xx

The fab little blingy stick ons are E-Line Pearls & Crystals which you can get from Dies To Die For and you can see them here.
Great value as well :)

I did the sentiment on the computer and the little clip is from Poppicrafts

I finished it off with some organza ribbon which I got from my local floristry warehouse, and that's that.

I have to say a huge thank you to Sarah for giving me this award as well - thank you hunny xxxx.

I am supposed to pass it on to 5 other lovelies but there is no way I can pick from so many fab peeps, so if you haven't got it and you want it, have it on me :)))x

So that's me done for the day.
Except to say that I am sitting on my hands and biting my lip to keep my trap shut cos there is something I am just dying to share but I can't.

Not yet, at any rate, but very very soon!!!

It's killing me of course, but there ya go!!

Right, I'm off to do a few more bits and bobs before the whirling dervish that is Miss Kyla comes home and chaos ensues.

Have a great evening peeps and I'll see you soon as soon.
Biggest hugs xxxx

AFA Plus NEC Picfest :)x

Ohh we did have THE most fabulous day yesterday.
I was very good and didn't bankrupt us and kept my spendy ways to a minimum, apart from a Magnolia or 2 and some beady stuff.

More in a sec, but first, as it's Sunday, it's time for another Anyone For Anya Challenge. And this week it's a recipe challenge - 3 papers or card (apart from the base card), 2 buttons and 1 bow.

I used Hope or Grace - never sure - and I coloured her with the old PMs. I had a bit of a disaster cos my Ivory pen , which I use to blend hair tones, is as dry as dry, so sorry if the poor mite's hair looks like a bad day at L'Oreal!!

Maybe that's why her cheeks are red ;) xxx

You can get this little sweetie, as well as Ivory Pro Markers - Dawny please note - and gazillions of other colours from our lovely Tracy at Dies To Die For. Tracy is also our sponsor this week and there is a gorge Anya image up for grabs :)

So this is me card.

The papers are a mixture of Wild Rose and Pink Petticoat and the ribbon is Poppicrafts. The buttons were in my stash box so sorry peeps, I don't have a clue where they came from!!

And that's the card with loads of dimension, paper piecing and 3D-ing!!

Have you noticed how quickly I've rattled through this bit!!! Not like me I know but I couldn't wait to share the pics from our day at the NEC yesterday.

We had the most fab time and we met up with Bev, Marcea, Marlene, Caz, Jacqui, Rach, Tab, Kim P, Kim C and Kim D. Plus Zoe, Tara, Rica, and Jo plus Marlene and Rach's gorgeous daughters - pair of little stunners they are!!!

We all went to Wetherspoons for our lunch apart from poor Kim P and Tab as they were still working away doing their Magnolia things - totally awesome!!We put a couple of tables together and then we were joined by more and more so we kept nicking tables and joining them up - bet they loved us in there lol xxx

It was a great afternoon and I had the best time ever, so thank you to each and every one of the fab girlies xxx

So this is us.

We are actually all getting ready to sing Happy Birthday to Mrs Kath but sadly she was out. Probably as well as we might have got chucked out.

Marlene and Tara - deep in stash chat

Marcea, aka Super Magnolia Demo Girl taking a pic of me taking a pic of her lol xxx.

I loved the red from the camera on this pic so I had a fiddle in Photoshop.

Not sure who the peeps in the background are but I bet they were mighty sorry they sat by us lot!!!

The Kims and Rica multi-tasking ie eating lunch and talking stash at the same time. Jo is on her way to sort us all out!!!

I do have more pics but I cannot show you them because Bev for one will kill me.

And all too soon it was time to get the train home, but not before we managed to catch up with the sweetness that is Dulcie and her lovely Matthew. She was so busy but I do hope next time we manage to have a good old natter.

You won't be surprised to hear that we got the wrong train home, so we were late getting back!!! Well it was the right train in as much as it was going to Chester, but it went via Wales at about 30mph and stopped at every unpronounceable place you can imagine. Sometimes I think that I shouldn't be allowed out!!!

And finally, I have to say that it was really nice to see so many people wearing their poppies yesterday at the NEC. I would just like to thank every single member of the armed forces past and present for what they have done and are still doing so that people like me can sleep safely at night.

I am always moved to tears watching the march past the Cenotaph and the pride and sometimes sadness on the faces of those taking part, especially the old boys with their medals and their memories that I cannot begin to image.

And on that note, and before I start filling up again, I'm off to sort out dinner, do a bit of shopping and watch last nights, SCD. I know Craig went cos I cheated and watched the end of what I'd recorded before I went to bed last night, being the impatient and nosey madam that I am!!

But I want to see if there was another spat between Craig Revel Horrid - strangely attractive - and Len the Good Man. Last week's barney was awesome!!!

Have the fabbiest Sundays and hugs to all xxx

Spotty Stripey Kiki!!

Yes it's Danny's sister, Kiki.

Sweet Kiki la Rue to be exact and how cool is that name!! And such a sweet image as well.

So she is the star of my Papertake Weekly card - I cannot believe how quickly this last week has gone.

Our challenge this week is Spots n Stripes and there is a fab $25 voucher up for grabs to spend on stash galore at Simon Says Stamp.

And this is my card, full of spottiness and stripeyness lol xx

Miss Kiki was coloured and blinged with the dynamic duo that are PMs and Glamour Dust. And there is a bit of paper piecing going on as well cos I wanted her to match the DP

And if you want a Kiki of your own, nip over to the fabbidoodles Dies To Die For

The blooms and spacer beads are also from Dies To Die For.
Don't you just love that colour!!!

The papers are Pink Petticoat and the spotty grosgrain ribbon is from the lovely Mich at Poppicrafts.

The little sentiment is from a Woodware set.

So there ya go!!

I'm on a bit of a flyer again cos it is my mother in law's birthday today and her card is 'work in progress' still (slap slap!!)

She and my dad were born on the same day same year and my dad died when he was 64 but he would have been 83 today. I can't imagine him that age at all, it's quite weird really.

So tonight we are going for dinner at MILs house. Richard's brother and family are coming up and he is cooking, so a night away from the stove for me - wooohoooo!!!!

So I best get the card finished. I think Mr Mojo is playing silly beggars at the mo so he better sort himself out pdq.

Maybe some cheese on toast will help first lol xxx

Have a great day and see ya very soon.

Double Dose of AFA = Lotsa Pics :)x

Yes it's Sunday so that means it's time for another Anyone For Anya challenge and as it is the last week of the month, its time for a sketch -

So I thought I'd do 2 cards using the same sketch and papers.

Now I know that some of you are probably thinking that dozy Dawny P has struck again and used the wrong images lolxx I'll give you that these look nothing like Anyas.

BUT they are OK to use as they are Greetings Farm images (they're digi so no waiting for the postie lolxx.

How cute are they!!!
They are partly the reason I did 2 cards cos I couldn't decide which image I liked best!!!

So I did the usual PM and bling thing with them, and this is the first card. I turned the sketch on it's side for this one.

The fabulous ribbon is from Poppicrafts.
Very Minnie Mouse I think and I just love it

The papers are both Pink Petticoat - Stripes and Fairy Lights :)

The buttons were in my stash.

So that's card 1

Again, this cheeky pair are also TGF digi images - I just fell in love with them.

Oohhh dreadful editing!!!

Again I used PMs and bling but I also added some Polar White Flowersoft cos it makes fab snow!!!

The snowflakes were done using a Martha Stewart punch and a little stick-on gem.

You can get a really good selection of MS punches over at Dies To Die For (as well as your fave Anyas and loads of other fab stamps)

I hope you can just about see it, but I used the MS Drippy Goo border punch here - I thought it looked a bit like melting ice.

Again these are available at Dies To Die For, and I gave it a sprinkling of Glamour Dust as well.

So that's card 2.

I hope you're still with me peeeps, cos it was daylight when I started this post lol xxx

And on that note, that's me done for today.
If you get a sec, don't forget to nip over and have a nosey at what the other girls have done - fab cardage as always, plus we are sponsored this week by De Hobbykamer.

And finally, I'm sure you'll have seen it but don't forget to check out my blog candy as well.

Have a great Sunday and I'll see ya soon. Hugs to all xxxx
