Today over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge, we have one of them there

themes so it’s time to fill your creative boots and do whatever you want to do.

This week, DT this week have all showcased  Unity and Fawn Lawn Stamps and if you have any, we would love to see you use them but its not compulsory for this challenge – just enjoy your crafting :)

So this is what I did and you’ll notice that there isn’t really an image as such, or at least not like the ones  I usually use.

But I love this stamp and I wanted to use it but I also wanted to do something a little different other than plain colouring it in. So I paper pieced the main heart bit of it and coloured and glittered the edges, did a bit of decoupage on the leaves (which I did colour in)  and then covered up the flower on the image with a rolled flower which I doused rather liberally in  Diamond Stickles.

And you know what??

I really like it – it’s so simple and the colours just zing :)

These pics do not do it justice and I am pleased with the result cos it’s for a special friend. I think these Anything Goes challenges are perfect for trying out new ideas and it’s nice to step outside your comfort zone occasionally.

Right, I better go and finish off some bits and bobs. I haven’t put the news on yet to see what’s happened re the strikes today cos I couldn't face it after yesterday – it’s all so doom and gloom and God only knows where it will all end.

In tears for sure, and don’t you just feel for future generations :(

But then, glass of vino in hand, I will settle down to watch the next bit of IACGMOOH – ooohhh, wasn't Wille a little narky pants last night – Crissy too!! Poor Sean/ Anthony / Moaning Minnie / whatever!! I felt sorry for him cos he was bereft that Willie had gotten the hump and after all, they were trying to do something nice. Well that bit them on the butt didn’t it!!  Are you taking note you naughty producers, heehee!! At least we don’t have to keep looking at Miss Plastic Fantastic Bazoomers (I’m not bitter !!)  cos she went last night.

So that’s the dads and lads votes gone then lol!!!

And is it just me but is that Carte Noir addie the most annoying thing on TV at the mo, Bruce Forsyth apart. I actually feel my knuckles turning white when it comes on. Yes, damned attractive springs to mind and the French accent is tres sexy fo sho, BUT there is no way on Gods green earth that I would let my Richard go and fold up the clothes. Whaaaaa? I would never find them again and nor would most women I suspect, whether our tongues are firmly in our cheeks or not.

Now THIS is what I call a sexy  French accent – remember this one girls…….

 I wonder what he had in mind then? Certainly not oran-jez rappend in ze tropic-al sun.

A Cheeky Snowman :)

Hi there peeps and hope you haven't had the rain we’ve had today – but looking at the forecast you probably did :(
It didn’t let up for hours and at one point the rain was actually bouncing.

Still it’s nice to stay in the warm and dry and get down to some crafty stuff!!

Please excuse the pics (again lol!!) but the light is truly dreadful here today – grey isn't the word and it’s got that yucky yellow tinge to it.  I used one of the new CC Designs images – this one is just called Snowman - and coloured him with these Copics -

Have you been watching I’m A Celeb?

Ohh Fatima the other night with the old cockroaches was just awful (retch, puke bluh!!) . I thought I’d like her but I’m not sure I do now. And old Anthony / Sean from Corrie, well he is just a moaning  Minnie isn’t he. I’m starting to like Mark Wright – not in the biblical sense though – and little Wille is very sweet (how much mileage have Ant & Dec got from that one!!). And Dougie is a poppet as well. Not fussed on Auzzie girl with plazzy bazoomers and didn’t really like Pat Sharp either!!

I must just say that we’ve been a bit sparse with the old posts these last few weeks cos I have been unbelievably up the wall with one thing and another but hopefully we will resume, normal service soon.

Before I go I must tell you about my friend Lesley from Purple Butterfly Crafts cos she has set up a brand new challenge blog  fopr the shop and the first challenge is

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK today.

I don’t know if it’s me but I am so cold today and just cannot get warm.

This is a bit of a double really cos I have been so mad busy these last few weeks and I’m just about catching up again. So not only is this my card for this weeks Papertake Weekly, but its also my card for this months Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge which may be #13 but it’s lucky for me because not only did the lovely Mary not mind me combining (and thank you chick for that xxx) , but it’s one of me fave colour combis too ….

… oh so pretty :)

Righty oh that’s the card and I just HAVE to show you this.

One of my card club ladies bought one and she fetched it to card club with her pens in. I just had to go and get me one (or 5!!) ….

…. these bad boy trays cost £1 each  - well there’s 3 trays in each unit - and they are from Poundland.

They are AMAZING!!

I know I’m easily impressed lol, but they have made my life so much easier cos I know exactly where the colours are now instead of having to furttle about looking for the one I want. I know you can get fancy fangled things to store them in but I’d rather spend me dosh on the pens to be honest!!! They would be so useful for putting all kinds of crafty stuff in. OK so they aren't very pretty but hey who cares!!!

Right I’m off – there are 2 lamb shanks downstairs that wont cook themselves and more’s the pity cos I am really not in the mood to do the cooking thing tonight but we gotta eat I guess :)
