A Fairy Sweet Little Number :)

Picture 006c copy

Morning peeps and I hope that your retinas are still in one piece after the bright display here yesterday lol!!

We are almost at the end of the week and it’s time to head on over to the Lili Of The Valley Thursday challenge where this week we have a sketch by Bev

.. this one here.

Picture 001c copy

So here’s my card and once again I actually did stick to the sketch  lol!!!
This is actually a card for a friend of mine.  By the time this post goes out she hopefully will have had it if my little ‘helper’ did her job properly!!! But I won’t put her name on here just in case!!!

I used Birthday Fairy cos I haven’t used one of these little sweeties for a while and I went a bit mad with me ‘E’ numbers as you can see from the list of Copics ….

E000, E00, E11, E21, R11, R21 (skin), E42, E50 (hair), E15, E29, E31, E33. E35, E37, E41, E57,  R85 RV0000, RV000, RV00, RV10 (the rest).

I also outlined the image quite heavily with Glamour Dust cos I like the way it makes it really stand out.

The papers are all from the Nitwits  Grin ‘n’ Bear It collection – the most delish shades of pinks and browns I think.

Picture 005c copy

A bit of texture which I like!!

I used some 40mm white cotton lace and tied a strip of 15mm shocking pink no 72  microdot satin ribbon round it and then topped it off with a sparkly button.  It makes it a bit stronger and it sits on the card better if you attach a thin strip of card to the centre of the lace first – the bit you cover up with the ribbon.

All the above are of course available from Ribbon Girl

Picture 002c copy

The pretty pink pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts – gorgeous :)

Picture 003c copy

So that’s the old card done but  before I go,  I just HAVE to tell you about these little cuties ….

NOV2011LAUNCH2

They are some of the new release which will go on sale on 10th November,  but if you are going to the SECC or NEC you will be able to get hold of them there.

They are just adorable aren't they :)

And have you seen these ….

SET 17 - Grunge Christmas Postmarks

You don’t have to wait for these cos they are now available and they are the new Grunge Christmas Postmarks Stamps Set which you can see here.

Right I’m to do some work but have the fabbiest of days and I’ll see you tomoz.

A Girl After My Own Heart :)

Picture 006c copy

Hi there peeps and I hope that you are all OK and staying nice and toasty on these cold mornings.

There’s a bit of an Autumnal feel about the colours on my card today and I noticed that I seem to do this at this time of year. It’s clearly a subliminal thing and I move away from the pastels and get the bright and zingy oranges etc out.

Or maybe I just THINK I do lol!!!

Anyway, today over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge we have an

Anything Goes

theme and this week the  Design Team are showcasing Bo Bunny and Studio Calico products this week. You don't HAVE to use them to join in of course,  but if you have them then why not use them :)

There is as always a mahoosive ….

.... up for grabs which our winner can spend …

… right here.
(and there’s loads of new stuff in so nip and have a mooch if you get a sec :)

So…

Picture 001c copy

… this is what I did
(shades on girls cos we’ve gone for BRIGHT today lol!!)

Check out this sweet little Sugar Plum.
She is
CC Designs Cookie Emma and she is soooo cute sitting there chomping away – awww :) And seeing as I’m also a bit of a cookie monster, I could not resist using her.

I gave her darker hair, just for a change and the Copics I used today are -

E000, E00, E11, E21, R11, R20 (skin), E29, E35, E41, E49, E50, E57 (hair) , E50, E51, Y38, YR07, YR16, YG0000, YG01, YG03, G99 (the rest).

Picture 004c copy           Picture 005c copy

The rather yummy papers I used are all Bo Bunny Vicki B 6 x 6 paper pad. And if you cannot find ribbon and pearls to match, just colour some with your Copics like I did here.

Nobody will ever know lol!!!

I gave the Magnolia dies a day off for good behaviour and turned my attention to something Fiskar-ish!!

The scalloped borders were made using a Fiskars Scallop Sentiment Border Punch.
I'd forgotten how pretty it is, so no doubt this poor sod will be the next on my ‘let’s work it to death’ list!!

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

So that’s me done and if you get a sec, nip over and check out the challenge peeps.

I’m slowly wading though all the stuff that was waiting for me once I managed to get my hotmail sorted – I will get there in the end!!! And my lot are round for dinner tonight.  I haven't seen her ladyship since Thursday so extra cuddles are on the agenda. Luckily she is still at that age where she doesn’t mind how many you give her but it will change for sure soon and then they will be a thing of the past.  I remember going to kiss my nephew at a family funeral once and he was horrified – literally mortified – and told me no, cos he was ‘nearly nine’!!  Bless!!

I think I should have said a funeral of a member of my family cos I just made it sound like a bit of an occasion there. Come round,  we are having a family funeral today!!!!!

Anyway on that note, I better go and do some work. Enjoy your day and see you tomorrow.

I Didn't Run Off With Brad!!!!

Picture 008c copy

Hi peeps and after a week where I was MIA, I'm back to almost normal (hahhaaaa!!!).

Between hackers, kids, work etc etc, last week was a bit of a haze. Once again I can only apologise if any of you were bombarded with spam sent from my hotmail account by a very unwelcome guest, and how dare these idiots do this!! I have hopefully put a stop to it now and even though I know it wasn’t my fault and just one of those things, I feel so bad that a lot of  my friends were pestered  in this way.

So time to nip over and see what has been happening with the Papertake Weekly gang. We have a brand new team member and a fab prize as we are sponsored by the lovely Heidi over at Simon Says Stamp

Photobucket

Our regulars will know that as this is the last challenge of the month, it’s sketchie time and this week …

sketch #61

… it's this bad boy here.

Picture 002c copy

And this is what I did with it.

Once again I actually stuck to it but of course you don't have to, as long as you can still see it there in your work.

I was rummaging about for something Tilda-ish to use and I found this stamp but for the life of my I cannot remember what she is called and she wasn't in her original packet as I’d put her in a little poly bag, poor soul!! So if anybody knows her name could you tell me please (thank you xxx)

I did the Copics thing, natch, and I used these colours -

E000, E00, E11, E21, R11, R20 (skin), E41, E42, E50 (hair), E37, E43, E42, E50, RV0000, RV000, RV00, R85 (the rest)

and the papers are from Nitwits – the  Bumbleberry Cottage and Merry Christmouse collections

 Picture 005c copy

This delish pink gingham ribbon is 25mm Berisfords pink no 57 small check – one of my faves ever, and I added a little pale pink small polka dot button as well. And of course these are both from our Mary & Andrea at The Ribbon Girl

The cute sentiment is from Pink Petticoat and is from the Tiny Tags download but I think it’s now been discontinued.

 Picture 007c copy

A little arrangement of Wild Orchid Crafts bloomage here with some  leaves made with a MS Martha Stewart Frond Leaf punch which I got from Simon Says Stamp

 Picture 003c copy

 Picture 004c copy

So that’s the card for today peeps.

I am slowly getting back to normal after my hectic weekend away in Oxford at the Copicific Retreat. We had the most fabulous  time, and we all enjoyed 2 whole days of wall to wall crafting (with eating and chatting in between of course lol!!) and no housework or cooking etc. And after my mad week last week, it was just what I needed and  I have to say that they were one of the nicest groups of ladies ever and it was an absolute  pleasure doing the classes with them :)

 PA234285

And here we all are :)

Check out Miss Portly Piggy at the front looking every inch the bloater and trying desperately to hold in the stomach and not doing a great job of it lol!!! From L-R the ladies on the back row are June, Beryl, Jenny, Wendy, Jo and Denyse and from L-R at the front are Diane, Moi, Joy Hazel and Yvonne.

I cannot wait for the next one :)

I got home at 8.45 pm on Sunday night and my Emma bless her had fed Richard and there was a yummy roast dinner waiting for me.  Dope here missed the turning for the toll on the M6  and ended up with all the wagons etc on the really busy part of it– it was horrendous.

So I was very good and unpacked it all and put everything away and ready to start again. I then spent best part of yesterday train to sort out the mess that was my hotmail account. Thankfully it had been blocked as they were aware I had been hacked. A ‘nice’ man from Microsoft was going to sort it out for me ….. for £74 + vat. But I asked one of our IT guys and he did it for me for  free!!!! So I am up and running again and I will get around to reply to all the emails asap.

Right I better go and do some more bits and bobs. Have the fabbiest of days and see you tomoz.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxxx

A Cute Lil Devil If Ever I Saw One!!!

Picture 005c copy

Hi there peeps and hope everyone is OK today :)

Over at Papertake Weekly, things are getting a bit spooky cos out theme this week is

Spooky Hues

and quite simply we just want to see some fiendish colour combis – you don't need to make an actual Halloween card, just use that sort of colour.

We have our very own Mary & Andrea sponsoring us and of course they are the fabulous Ribbon Girls

ribbon girl logo

And check out those colours  in the Halloween Mini Kit which is our prize this week ….

halloween_mini_kit

… how gorge are they|!!!

Picture 001c copy

So this is what I did.

I used C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie Devil Birgitta digi image from All That Scraps and coloured her with these Copics -

E000, E00, E21, R11, R20, E35, E42, E50, 100, C00, C1,C3, C5, C7, YR04, YR07, YR17, YR68

And once again I used Nitwits papers

Picture 004c copy

Ohh is that ribbon not delish peeps!!!

It’s Berisfords 25mm Black No 10 Small Check and it is of course from The Ribbon Girl. I also used that fab  Memory Box Creepy Web die again. It’s awesome and I got it from Simon Says Stamp.

And talking if SSS, you probably noticed it there yet again lol!! Yes the Tilda Lace Die has put in an appearance … just for a change!!!

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

So that’s the card done and if you get a sec, nip over and have a look at the DT cardage – all frightfully good!!!

I’m not hanging about cos I have a bit of a migraine again today – possibly the new contacts have something to do with it so I’m getting it checked. Have a great day and see you soon and hugs to all xxx

Distressed Piggy :)

+Picture 006c copy

Hi there peeps and hope you are all OK.

It was a busy weekend to say the least – 2 weddings (no funerals though lol!!)  so we are a bit behind, so I am doing the catch up thing.

So here’s  my card for last Friday’s challenge over at the Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge where our theme was

Distressing

Well those who know me will find it quite amusing that I did this challenge cos I don’t do distressing – cos it distresses me no end, being a clean white space kind of piggy!!

But a challenge is a challenge so I did it and …..

Picture 001c copy

… here’s the old card.

The sharp eyes among you may well notice something different here, apart from the distressing – I'll tell you at the end if you haven't guessed!!

As you can see, I went a bit mad and sanded practically everything with an edge on it  lol. I used a cute lil hAnglar girl and coloured hr with so many Copics but sadly lost the list when I was tidying up before we went away to the wedding – doh.

All I know is that like a bag of coloured sherbet, there are lots of E numbers :)

And a bit like my good self, all the papers are  Nitwits :)

Picture 004c copy

I used some of the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral dies ((calm yourself Kath!!) ) as well as some Wild Orchid Crafts blooms and self adhesive rhinestones.

And yes the good old Magnolia leaf and swirl has been dragged out again – poor old chap!!!.

Well it never really gets put away to be honest lol!!!

The leaves are courtesy of Martha S as well – they are made with a MS Frond leaf punch. The leaf punch, swirl and Sir Tim’s dies are all from Simon Says Stamp.

Picture 005c copy

That beeeeyoootiful lace is from the one and only Ribbon Girl an it’s 22mm cream fan Cluny lace.

Gorgeous!!

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

OK have you guessed what's different, apart from distressing the hell out of everything on it practically?

Well I used a cream card blank which I never ever do - but it just looked better than the usual stark white.

Wasn't very exciting was it chicks – soz!!!

Right on that note I'm off  to fight with my migraine and I’ll see you tomoz for a bit of Papertakey stuff!!

Enjoy your evening and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Luscious Lilac & Lime

Picture 006c copy

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK and having a nice weekend :)

It’s time for another Robin Girl Challenge and this month our colours were chosen by my bezzie blog bud and cyber twin. Mrs Kath.

colour challenge label 12

The colours she chose are oh so pretty and they are

Lilac & Lime

Our friends at Lili Of The Valley have once again kindly given us a £10 voucher to spend in the Lili Of The Valley store, so many gorgeous stamps to choose from!

We also have a Ribbon Mini Kit in either lilac or green from The Ribbon Girl and the winner can choose the kit they prefer

october prize

So there are 2 FABULOUS reasons to go and check it all out when you get a sec.

Picture 001c copy

So this is what I did. The image is one of my new Sugar Nellies  from Funky Kits and this one is called Hello Little Robin. I coloured it with the following Copics -

E000,E00, E21, R11 (skin), E50 (hair), BV0000, BV000, BV00, BV02, C00, C1, C3, C5, E31, E33, E42, G94, R27, YG0000, YG01, YG03 (the rest).

All the papers are from Nitwits – I’ll check out the collection and edit this bit later on!!

Picture 004c copy

What do you think of that bow!!

The colours are even prettier IRL  and I used  lilac 38mm faux silk ribbon topped off with a lime green polka dot button :)

Picture 005c copy

And a few strips of 15mm pencil stripe ribbon in meadow green.  and the ribbon and the button are of course from The Ribbon Girl.

I added a strip of paper lace made with my fave Tilda Lace Die

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy s

So that’s the old card done and I’ll be back tomoz with a late card and a candy winner – woohooo!! I’ve now got to go and try and sort out the email issue I’m having thanks to Mr Stoopid Hacker once again (total idiots aren't they!!)

Enjoy your night and see you soon and hugs to all xxx

And Back In The Pink :)

Picture 006c copy

Morning peeps and we are nearly at the end of another week.

Talk about flying time lol!!

It’s a bit of a  chilly, damp and grey day here in Chester today so our theme this week over at the Lili Of The Valley Thursday challenge seems rather apt cos it’s

Warm & Cosy

What a good idea – stay indoors and get the crafty stash out I say :)

There is a £15 voucher for one lucky winner to spend in the shop plus some gorgeous DT cardage so if you get a sec be sure to nip over and have a mooch.

Picture 001c copy

After my trip to the dark side yesterday, I’ve now gone back to the light, or rather to the pink.

I used another one of the beautiful new Christmas releases and this one is Moonlight Wishes and as always I coloured her with Copics in the following colours -

E000, E00, E21, R11, E50, C00, C1, C3, C5,  G94, R85, RV0000, RV000, RV00, YG0000, YG01, YG03 and I also added a tiny bit of polychromos pencilling, but not too much.

Picture 004c copy

The papers are all from Nitwits and are from these collections - Bumbleberry Cottage, Tippy Toes and Confection Too and that lovely lace is 25mm white flat lace which I pleated at the back with DST so no stitching involved!!

Picture 005c copy

I added a few tiny heart shaped gems to this doily cos I thought it looked a little bit plain on it’s own.

Picture 007c copy

One of my faves – a  sparkly button and 23mm pink organza combi.

The lace, button and ribbon are all from The Ribbon Girl.

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

So that’s the old card done.

It’s a busy old day for me again today – is there any other sort I wonder!! – and I have to try and find an outfit for my nieces’ wedding which is … tomorrow!! Talk about last minute Annie.

Kyla is a flower girl and her dress is jut gorgeous. She is looking forward to going to the hairdressers in the morning to have her hair done, bless her, She has been before but only for a trim so this is something a bit different for her and she will be living the dream while she is in there!!!.  No doubt pictures will appear on here at some point lol!!

Talking of lol, I’ll leave you with a little story about one of my lovely card club ladies. She told us this at the last card club  (she was still mortified) and I have been sniggering about it ever since.

A member of her family had died (no that's not the funny bit !!) and she made a beautiful sympathy card and sent it out. It was only at the funeral that somebody asked her why she had written what she had  in the card.

She looked baffled  and then they explained that ‘sorry for your loss lol’  perhaps wasn't the thing to put.

Bless her heart, she thought it was lots of love (she is in her 70s!!!).

I’ll be back tomorrow with something that it completely out of my comfort zone for sure, on several counts so see you then and have a fab day. Stay warm and cozy and hugs to all xxx
