Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezie :)

Picture 007c copy

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK today :)

We are nearly at the end of the week and as I am on a half day’s hol tomorrow so that I can watch the men’s semi’s I am nearer the weekend that usual. But due to el stupido here – and what I did was so dumb I cannot even share it cos my face is still red -  I am very late getting this on here.

So it’s time to head over to the Lili Of The Valley Thursday challenge  - most of you probably have been there already!! - and this week, our theme is

Celebrate

We are of course sponsored by the lovely  Lisa and Laila at Lili Of The Valley and there is a ….

GIFT VOUCHER[4]

… up for grabs :)

Picture 001c copy

So this is my card and it has to be one of the easiest to do bar none!!!

I used one of the Die Cut Design sheetsFriends & Flowers – so we are a Copic free zone  today. I just added the teeniest bit of glitter which you can just about see.

I also used a MS PATP set but for the life of me I cannot think which one it is – I‘ll go and check and then edit this bit (I have had one of those days and only just about know me own name !!!)

Picture 005c copy

The sentiment is from the LOTV Set 9 Mixed Circular Sentiments – perfect for our challenge I thought :)

And oh yes, the Magnolia leaf and swirl die (which is available from  Simon Says Stamp)  is getting  some serious use. How did I manage without one for so long?????

Picture 006c copy

A few more deets …..

Picture 005c copy

… and this is the back!!

Picture 002c copy

And a dodgy angle to finish with.

So on that note I am off to have a lie down in a darkened room.  Before I go I’ll leave you with a sneakie peekie of what’s happening on here tomoz ….

Picture 008c copysp copy

… ooh it’s pink!!

What a shock – not like me at all lol!!

Enjoy your evening and see you bright and early in the morning.

A Right Old Cheeky Chops!!!!

Picture 007c copy

A lovely sunny morning to all and hope everyone is OK today xxx

Over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge it’s  all about a very pretty colour combi which is

Lemon & Lavender

The DT have all used Penny Black images today. I LOVE these images and wonder why I don't use them more often??? How strange am I – no, don't answer that one!!!!

And there is of course a whopping ..

… up for grabs to spend in the store :)

So …

Picture 001c copy

… this is what I did.

I used Bee Costume and coloured the little chubby chops with these Copics -

C00, C1, C3, C5, E50, Y06, Y08, Y38.

I then did the polychromos thing to add a bit more depth here and there and a bit of Glamour Dust to add a bit of bling here and there!!!.

The papers are all from my stash :)

Picture 005c copy

The old Magnolia leaf and swirl die was put to good use again – I am over-working the poor thing.  I also added a strip of Old Swedish Lace as well which is now all but hidden – doh!!!!!

I used a Nellie Snellen Daisy Clip Punch to make the daisies.

I punched out three of them, snipped a notch out of each petal and then just layered them up, added a punched dot and finally added a bit of Diamond Stickles to the edges.

Picture 006c copy

Here’s another view of them :)

So that’s the cardage for today done and I am off now to do some work .  We are oh so busy at the mo and the works doesn’t seem to want to do itself sadly.

And there is another diet looming – booooo hisss.

The question is, which one do I do this time???

Weightwatchers or Slimming World????.

Ohh the decision is tough. I am doing it on line again  as I hate going to the meetings and having to pay out blah blah pounds to get weighed and patronised by an ex fattie (sorry to all the fat club leaders out there but the one at our local club is!!) . I also read about those CLA capsules as well which are supposed to help to break down lardgae and speed up metabolism. I’ll have to try them and see but I guess the only thing that really helps is not shovelling in foods that pile it on in the first place.

Yes, piggy by name and piggy by nature it would appear.

I intended to be good yesterday and I was up until about half eight last night when it all went a bit pear shaped. Which ironically is what has happened to me!!!

It’s been too many of these,  which are seriously addictive peeps  ….

imagesCA7P8TVN

….  and then a good dollop of  …..

.. . this.

It was  quite hot to be fair (ohh what a lame excuse!!) !!

And it should be more of these…..

(retch, bluh!!!)

But I’m not a  …

sadly (awwww look at that little face - how cute!!).

Mind you, while I was looking for rabbit pics I found this …

Sweet baby Jesus and the angels peeps – that is one serious big bun!!!! I wonder what lettuce that bad boy has been eating lol!!!

Best stick to the Hagen Daz Bugsy if you ask me!!!

Right I am off to get stuck into the list of stuff on my creaking desk. Enjoy your day and see you tomoz and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

I Don’t Usually …..

Picture 010c copy

Hi peeps and I hope you are all enjoying the weekend. Apparently there is a heatwave but it isn't that obvious here at the mo, but it may be on it's way :)

There’s a few ‘I don’t usually-s’ about this today as -

I don’t usually post anything at the weekend…

I don’t usually use Pro Markers (well not recently, even though I used to use them all the time)  …

I don’t usually distress the edges let alone ink them up  …

I don’t usually use Sarah Kay images (again I haven’t for a looong time) and …

I don’t usually put mag stuff on here.

But  I was just tinkering about with the pens while I was getting ready for a Pro Marker class that I did at the weekend and had some stuff I had lying about and this is what I did so I thought I’d share this with you today.  It’s literally made with left over bits  and bobs I had on me desk – apart from the blingy and distressing bits!!!

IRL the colours are lovely and clean looking but they don’t look as nice in the edit, doh :(

Picture 003c copy

PMs used are -

Skin – Blush, Dusky Pink and Ivory

Hair – Sandstone, Tan & Ivory

Clothes etc – Pear Green, Lime Green, Lime Zest, Soft Lime, Ice Grey 1, Ice Grey 2, Ice Grey 3, Powder Blue, Pastel Blue, Cornflower

Papers are from the Aye Aye Captain collection by Nitwits.

Picture 007c copy

I found these blingy bits while I was rooting about so I stuck one in the middle of a white organza bow…...

Picture 009c copy

… and added a couple more to this little arrangement made with some Wild Orchid Crafts blooms – I just used  sweetheart blossoms and hip rosebuds.

You don’t always needs a florist shop full of blooms to make it look pretty I don't think, even though I do usually get a bit carried away once I start with them :).

Picture 004c copy      Picture 005c copy

Picture 006c copy

I was sent a distressing tool a while ago to use for a commission and I got it out to have a fiddle with again. It’s a nifty little number and it makes very light work of sanding and roughing up the edges. It’s called a d-stress and it’s FAB :)

I know I don’t usually put mag stuff on here but I’ve included part of the article as it has the deets …

1scan0001 cop11y

So on that distressing note lol,  I’ll be off and I’ll see you in the week.

Enjoy your Sunday and hugs to all xxx

Sky Blue Pink & A Possible Lie - Ooops!!

Picture 006c copy

Morning peeps and a very happy Friday one and all xxx

I did possibly lie yesterday about this being bright.

Not deliberately of course but when I looked at it again I thought it wasn't THAT in your face.  A bit plain perhaps and lots of white space which I like (as long as it is really white - I am a Daz girl for sure!!!)

So the colours that are there  are quite zingy but not enough to get the shades out!!

What do ya think?

Anyhoos it’s my card for this week’s Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge which has been set by the sweetness that is our Pops and our theme is

Butterflies

This week we have 2 fab prizes to give away -

Quixotic Paperie have sponsored us with a £10 voucher to spend in store and the lovely Mary and Andrea over at The Ribbon Girl

… have given us this fabulous kit to give away...

.. and very gorge it is too :)

Picture 001c copy

So here’s the old card.

Tilda With Hawaii Flower which I got from  Simon Says Stamp was coloured with these Copic bad boys and helped along with some polychromos ….

E00, E21 (skin), E31. E41, E50 (hair), B0000, B000, B00, B05, B12, YG0000, YG01, YG03 (clothes etc).

I have had these papers for literally years (when I did that sale to help that girl out,  those of you who remember).  They are part of a scrap booking kit but I have no clue what they are or where they were  from (but probably QVC) .

But here’s a question for you ….

Who do you think spent ages looking for paper with butterflies on, found it in the very depths of her stash after rooting about for a couple of hours.... then covered it all up so you cannot see a single solitary butterfly on it?

Yes I think you know the answer to that one  (what a pillockess) !!!

Picture 005c copy

The colour of this ribbon is stunning – truly it is.

I got it from the floristry warehouse that I go to and I have about 15cm of it left, cry cry.

Do you remember that saying ie sky blue pink with a finnie haddie border btw? I’m not sure if it is just a local expression but my folks used to say it a lot when we were kids.

I think it’s sky blue any way  but not sure about the pink bit and I wouldn't know what finnie haddie border looked like if it smacked me in the face with a kipper (and ironically I think it might have something to do with kippers lol!!)

Picture 008c copy

The flutterby stickers are from the same kit and I just put them on acetate and then cut them out very badly!!!

And the little self adhesive pearls were the rejected ones that I got from Wild Orchid Crafts – you can see them here.  They are out of stock at the mo but do keep checking the website peeps cos they are just bargainous and you can colour them with your pens etc to match your colour theme. There is literally one or 2 that are either missing or damaged but the rest are perfect!!

Picture 002c copy     Picture 003c copy

Picture 004c copy

So there you go for today and indeed for the week.

But before I go I have just got to share this with you.
