Once I ‘Poppy’, I Can’t Stoppy :)

Picture 007 copy

That’s poppy not poopy peeps (fab alliteration!!)  and  please excuse the sad and corny post title – sometimes I cannot help meself  (can you tell it’s Friday then?).

Or maybe it’s the title of this week’s Just Magnolia & hAnglar & sTanglar challenge which is

Going Dotty

(mmm, that could explain a lot)

Well of course, I do love me spotty papers so this was right up my street.

And we are sponsored by

a7 jacobi[3]_thumb

and they are offering a fantastic prize of a voucher of : 20.00 Euro to spend in their store :)

So out came my fave spotty dotty papers and ….

Picture 002c copy

.. this is what I did.

I decided to use  one of my H&S images (I think I might love them even more that Magnolias to be honest) and I coloured them with these Copics -

Skin: E00, E21, R11, R20

Hair: E42, E50, E51

Clothes etc:  BV0000, BV00, BV02, E0000, E00, E31, E33, E35, E51

The papers are of course Pink Petticoat and I used Doodle Dots and Lots Of Dots in Mocha.

I also gave Lord Tim’s Scallops a day off (no Sue, I haven’t put it away yet, honest, and FAB to chat the other day xxx).  Instead I used my Tilda Lace die which I love just as much and you can get them from Tracy at Dies To Die For.

 Picture 009c copy

So now the post title makes sense (well sort of) because these are the poppies. I think they are just about the prettiest flowers and the colours are just drool-worthy.

Today I used the lilac ones …

** NEW ** 10 LILAC MULBERRY PAPER POPPY FLOWERS

… these ones here, plus a few other Wild Orchid Crafts blooms.

     bloom copy

        Picture 010c copy

And of course some WOC  vintage seam binding in light mink and some self adhesive pearls  :)

The sentiment is  from the Pink Petticoat Girly Curly Sentiments Collection.

………………………………………………

Now  talking of PP, I have some quite exciting news to share ..

Most of you will know that in this month’s Quick Cards Made easy mag, there is a free Pink Petticoat  paper pack.

image

Also, the mag features Papertake’s  very own Steph and Katina  (I feel like a proud mum xxx) PLUS  everyone’s fave Mummy Fairy  (and she‘s my JM teamie as well and of course I just love her to bits xxx) and that is the sweetness that is Jacquie.

Now that’s 4 good reasons to buy the mag :)

It will be in the shops on Tuesday - although if you're a subscriber, you've probably already got yours, stroked them and LOVE them.

But there’s more…

Because next week we are celebrating,  and you are all invited to the very first

Pink Petticoat Blog Hop.

It's an Inspiration Blog Hop and to make it extra special, it's a prize-winning Blog Hop too!

So in Liz’s own words ….

image

Myself and the Creative Team have been busy creating for you using the designs from the 'Vintage Rose' Paper Pack. And we hope to inspire you by sharing our ideas with you on our blogs.

Pom Tiddly Om Pom :)xxx

Picture 008c copy

Morning peeps and hope you are OK xxx

Well it’s Thursday and of course it’s  time for another Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge

This week we want to see

Anything But A Square

it’s nice to get away from the usual 6 x 6  square cards (in my case anyway!!) and there’s a fab prize donated by the 2 lovely LOTV chief fairies, Lisa and Laila ….

GIFT VOUCHER

… fabulous :)

Picture 001c copy copy

So I did a  sort of circle easel card.

Now you might have noticed that the only thing round on this blog is me usually and that’s because my pea sized brain doesn't think in circles  for some reason!! So this was wayyyy out of my comfort zone, but I think it’s a good thing to stretch yourself  occasionally.

And..…

I wasn’t too unhappy with how it turned out.

I coloured little Pom Pom (awww) with Copics in these colours -

Skin: E00, E21, R11, R20

Hair: E42, E50

Clothes etc: E0000, E00, E02, E95, YG0000, YG01, YR0000, YR00, YR20

and you can get a fab selection of these mighty pens from Tracy over at Dies To Die For

Picture 004c copy

I don’t often use these colours but two things sort of lead me there.

One was this beautiful paper – it’s MME Lost & Found   Market Street & Lovely French Stripe,  which Tracy has in stock. I love that soft tangerine shade and it’s edged with a glitter border which I chopped off and used by itself. In fact, I was very mean with this paper – you know how I have this aversion to  putting scissors near any 12 x 12s – so I only used one piece of  6 x 6 for the whole card (spot the meanie!!)

The sentiment is of course chopped off a Pink Petticoat sentiment ribbon.

Picture 007c copy

The other thing that  really made me want to use this colour theme was a fab box of goodies that arrived here the other day. It was my new Wild Orchid Crafts DT kit.

In it was some beautiful  vintage seam binding in one of the prettiest colours I have ever seen – cameo beige …

** NEW ** 10 PALE PINK MULBERRY PAPER POPPY FLOWERS

… and these poppies.

They are pale pink but are so softly shaded and I just had to use them. Aren’t they pretty peeps?

So that’s me card done for today. If you get a sec nip over and have a look at what the DT have done – just beautiful :)

I’ll be back tomoz with either a Tilda-ish or H&S creation. I haven’t made my mind up which one yet hence no sneak peek cos it isn't yet done. So I’m off to do that right now before the light goes. It isn’t exactly brilliant even at this time of the day so God only knows what it will be like by the time  I’ve faffed and fussed and actually got the card done.

I am not a quick crafter. In fact, I am sooooooooooooooooooo slooooooooooooow it isn't even funny!!!

Anyhoos I’ll see you tomorrow and until then, have a great Thursday and hugs to all xxxx

Just perfect :)

Hi peeps and hope that you are all OK.

No challenge cards to day but I thought I’d share some stuff that I did recently for Liz using the fabulous new  Pink Petticoat Perfect Papers - the colour palette used in this collection is just beautiful.

So not a lot of waffle from me today – huuurrrayyyyy – and I’ll  (sort of) leave you in peace to check out the cardage :)

Picture 026c

The simplest card ever as these pretty papers do all the work for you – I LIKE that :)

Aren’t those colours gorgeous peeps?

The sentiments are all Pink Petticoat (natch) and I used the Girly Curly Sentiments Collection and sentiment ribbons. The blooms and pins are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and as seems to be my want these days, Sir Tim’s fab scalloped die is featured as well :)

So that’s it today .

I’ll be back tomoz with something LOTV – ish so until then I’ll leave you with a sneakie peekie….

See you then and hugs to all xxx

I struggled ……

 Picture 010c a

Morning peeps and hope you are all OK xxx

Well I have to confess that I struggled a bit with this card – not sure why really. I did the sketch ages ago and I remember thinking that I was pleased with it, but when I came to do it, the old mojo just went awol – what a pain!!!

Anyway, it’s the sketch for this week’s Papertake Weekly challenge which is sponsored by the one and only Simon Says Stamp

Photobucket

… so there’s a fab prize up for grabs. And I have to say that the DT did a brilliant job with the sketch cos the cards are just fabulous, and all so very different which I like :)

So, this …

sketch #52

… is the old sketchie, and this ….

 Picture 002ca copy copy

… is what I did with it.

Please excuse the awful pics today peeps but the light here is practically non existent – grrrr!!!!

The cutesy Lili Of The Valley image (it’s from the Love & Romance release) was coloured with Copics in these colours -

Skin: E00, E21, R20, R11

Hair: E11, E35, E42, E50

Clothes etc: BG93, C00, C1, G21, G94, R85, RV0000, RV00, RV10, YG67, YG91

 Picture 011c

The pretty papers are of course from Pink Petticoat and I used Pretty Little Hearts, Gingham and Doodle Dots in Pretty (just for a change, I know but I LOVE that soft and chalky pink).  The sentiment was chopped from a PP sentiment ribbon and I snuck in Lord Timmie’s scalloped die again.

Have you seen the new Perfect Papers mini btw? Oh soooo gorge and pretty they are  :)

But I digress!!

Picture 007c copy

I just had to use shed loads of beautiful Wild Orchid Crafts blooms, and the self adhesive rhinestones are also WOC :)

Picture 003c copy              Picture 005c copy

Picture 006c copy

So that’s me card chicksies – hope you likeee :).

I am literally up to me eyes in stuff here so it’s a real quickie today. Have the fabbiest of days and see you soon with some more cardage.

Hugs to all xxx

Mrs Kath’s Colours :)xxx

Picture 008c copy

Morning lovely peeps and hope you are all OK and a bit warmer than yesterday!!.

Over at the Just Magnolia & hAnglar & sTanglar challenge today we have a lovely sketch by my very dear friend Donalda….

sketch

… and here it is.

It’s just my kind of sketch this and I loved working with it, so thank you Donalda chick xxx

Also, this week we are sponsored by The Cutting Cafe' and the fabulous prize this week is two sets of your choice from their amazing selection of files.  Not only do they have fabulous cutting files but there is also a brilliant selection of digi stamps so do pop across to take a peek.

cutting-cafe_thumb

So ….

Picture 003c copy

… this is what I did – I sort of flipped the sketch really.

The title of the days post today is  Mrs Kath’s Colours and  of course there is only one Mrs Kath, who I love to bits. The reason for the title is that I simply cannot see baby blue and brown together without thinking of her cos nobody quite does that colour combi like she does xxx

So the  Copics that I used  here are -

Skin: E00, E21, R11 R20

Hair: E35, E50

Clothes etc:B0000, B00, B12, BG01, E11, E21, E31, E33, E35, E50, E51,

You can get your mitties on some Copics simply by paying the lovely Tracy at Dies To Die For a visit :)

Picture 007c copy

Another one of me arrangements.

And of course, all of these fabulous blooms are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Picture 003c1 copy

The pretty papers are of course Pink Petticoat’s finest (as is the sentiment).  Isn't that shade of blue gorgeous.

The tulle started off as plain beige but a quick swipe of one of me brown Copics soon changed all that that. The downside of this is that my fingertips are now sort of patchy brown (very attractive - not),  despite several washings!!  I also coloured the two little roses in the arrangement as well :)

The pins are also WOC btw.

1

What is the point Miss Dawny of going to the trouble of punching out 2 strips of Tilda Lace, binging them both with Glamour Dust………… then covering them up with one of your bow things?????

Oh what a doughnut!!!!

Picture 005c copy               Picture 006c copy

 Picture 009c copy

Righty-oh that’s me lot today me darlins.

I’ve got shed loads to get through so I’m on a bit of a flyer again

I’m not sure if I’ll get time to post over the weekend as her spottiness is in residence (the poor kid is covered, bless her) so if not, have a fab and funky time and see you next week.

Hugs to all xxx
