Spotty Stripey Kiki!!

Yes it's Danny's sister, Kiki.

Sweet Kiki la Rue to be exact and how cool is that name!! And such a sweet image as well.

So she is the star of my Papertake Weekly card - I cannot believe how quickly this last week has gone.

Our challenge this week is Spots n Stripes and there is a fab $25 voucher up for grabs to spend on stash galore at Simon Says Stamp.

And this is my card, full of spottiness and stripeyness lol xx

Miss Kiki was coloured and blinged with the dynamic duo that are PMs and Glamour Dust. And there is a bit of paper piecing going on as well cos I wanted her to match the DP

And if you want a Kiki of your own, nip over to the fabbidoodles Dies To Die For

The blooms and spacer beads are also from Dies To Die For.
Don't you just love that colour!!!

The papers are Pink Petticoat and the spotty grosgrain ribbon is from the lovely Mich at Poppicrafts.

The little sentiment is from a Woodware set.

So there ya go!!

I'm on a bit of a flyer again cos it is my mother in law's birthday today and her card is 'work in progress' still (slap slap!!)

She and my dad were born on the same day same year and my dad died when he was 64 but he would have been 83 today. I can't imagine him that age at all, it's quite weird really.

So tonight we are going for dinner at MILs house. Richard's brother and family are coming up and he is cooking, so a night away from the stove for me - wooohoooo!!!!

So I best get the card finished. I think Mr Mojo is playing silly beggars at the mo so he better sort himself out pdq.

Maybe some cheese on toast will help first lol xxx

Have a great day and see ya very soon.

Double Dose of AFA = Lotsa Pics :)x

Yes it's Sunday so that means it's time for another Anyone For Anya challenge and as it is the last week of the month, its time for a sketch -

So I thought I'd do 2 cards using the same sketch and papers.

Now I know that some of you are probably thinking that dozy Dawny P has struck again and used the wrong images lolxx I'll give you that these look nothing like Anyas.

BUT they are OK to use as they are Greetings Farm images (they're digi so no waiting for the postie lolxx.

How cute are they!!!
They are partly the reason I did 2 cards cos I couldn't decide which image I liked best!!!

So I did the usual PM and bling thing with them, and this is the first card. I turned the sketch on it's side for this one.

The fabulous ribbon is from Poppicrafts.
Very Minnie Mouse I think and I just love it

The papers are both Pink Petticoat - Stripes and Fairy Lights :)

The buttons were in my stash.

So that's card 1

Again, this cheeky pair are also TGF digi images - I just fell in love with them.

Oohhh dreadful editing!!!

Again I used PMs and bling but I also added some Polar White Flowersoft cos it makes fab snow!!!

The snowflakes were done using a Martha Stewart punch and a little stick-on gem.

You can get a really good selection of MS punches over at Dies To Die For (as well as your fave Anyas and loads of other fab stamps)

I hope you can just about see it, but I used the MS Drippy Goo border punch here - I thought it looked a bit like melting ice.

Again these are available at Dies To Die For, and I gave it a sprinkling of Glamour Dust as well.

So that's card 2.

I hope you're still with me peeeps, cos it was daylight when I started this post lol xxx

And on that note, that's me done for today.
If you get a sec, don't forget to nip over and have a nosey at what the other girls have done - fab cardage as always, plus we are sponsored this week by De Hobbykamer.

And finally, I'm sure you'll have seen it but don't forget to check out my blog candy as well.

Have a great Sunday and I'll see ya soon. Hugs to all xxxx

Manga Sweetie For Papertake Weekly :)

This is Kaya and she's one of the new Manga designs which are available over at Pink Gem Designs. I thinks she is ever so sweet.

So I coloured her with the old bad boy PMs, added a teeny touch of blingy stuff and used her for this week's Papertake Weekly challenge, which is a sketch - this one here

Yes, it is a bit different from my usual straight lines and neat angles.
But I kind of like it to be honest.

So this is my card. I know Manga colours are usually a bit more vibrant but I just had to use pink cos she is sooo pretty.

And after my last couple of cards, I was going into serious pastel withdrawal :))))o

Here's the recycled ribbon again. I am seriously going to have to get some more of this - poor thing doesn't know if it's coming or going xxxx

I know just how it feels lol xxxx

The silver mesh is from a local warehouse and the button is another stash dweller lol xxx

The papers are both Pink Petticoat - Stripes and Fairy Lights. I LOVE this new collection, I really do!!! And the old MSBP is back in favour!!!

And that's my card.

I'm on another flyer today cos I still have oodels of stuff to do - I cannot see the wood for the trees right now so I may be AWOL for a few days unless I can get my lardy butt into gear and get it all done.

But before I go, I mentioned a few posts ago that I'd made a bracelet for someone and I might take a pic and share it. So I did and here is is ...

What do you think peeps.
I hope she'll like it.
I'm seeing her tomorrow so fingers crossed.

I am still trying to sort out my bling bit on here cos I have quite a few pieces made now that need a good home but in the meantime, if anyone is interested in any, please feel free to e-mail me.

On that note, I'll say tatty bye and see you soon if not sooner.

Don't forget to pop over to PTW and see what the other fabster DT girlies have done. Awesome work as always - they are a talented bunch, they really are.

Hugs xxx

Tangy-Tastic Tilda :)x

What a cute cookie lol xxx

I used this gorgeous Tilda for my card for this week's Just Magnolia challenge which is Bright & Zingy. So I decided to go for a lemon and lime colour combi.

So this is the cardio.
I coloured Tangy Tilda with PMs and there is a bit of bling in there today.

Don't forget that you can get your mitts on some fab Magnolia stamps over at the even fabbier Dies To Die For :)x.

Martha Stewart's punch came in handy - it's just sooo pretty - and the papers are Pink Petticoat and Mad About Cards.

The three teeny buttons were in my stash - I found this box a few days ago so as it's out, I am using 'em up!!!

Still not sure where they came from originally!!!

The lime green bow ribbon was from a warehouse near here and I found the little yellow stripey ribbon while I was rumaging for some wider stuff. Not sure where that one came from either - sorry peeps xxx

The white flower, which you can barely see cos I cocked up the lighting again, was from Simon Says Stamp.

So that's my bright and zingy card.
They aren't my usual colours, me being a pastel sort of girl, but I quite like the way this turned out.

I'm on a real flyer tonight cos I still have a fair bit of work to get through and a whole heap of jobs which will not do themselves sadly. So I guess it's down to me - grrrrr!!!!

But I hope that everyone is ok and that you are having a fab night.

Hugs to all and see ya tomorra xxxx

Autumn Anya

Ohh it's a cold one here today!!!
I hope everyone else isn't freezing their bits off like we are lol xxx

There's a seasonal theme over at Anyone For Anya today and our challenge this week is Autumn Colours. So I used this lil cutie - Dahlia. She is one of my faves and I gave her some rusty coloured clothes with my fab PMs.

You can get Dahlia , plus PMs plus loads of other fab stuff over at Dies To Die For, and don't forget to check out the offer of the day.

Tracy has also donated a fab stamp as a prize so nip over and check it all out. Plus there is, as always, some amazing work from the DT girls. :)

So this is what I did with me Autumn colours :)

I have to say that Autumn is one of my fave seaosns. I love the mists and the smells and the rich colours that you can see. I don't usually use those colours on the old cardage but I really like how this turned out.

I got these flowers in a pack years ago and I though they'd be perfect for this card. The gorgeous ribbon was given to me by my PTW teamie Mandy xxxx and the teeny buttons were in my stash.

The papers are both Pink Petticoat :)x

I made the charm out of some beads I had left over from a bracelet I recently made for someone. Gold chain would probably have looked better but as I didn't have any, I had to use silver :(o

And here's the funny angle pic.

So that's my card for today. I am off now to make a sympathy card. I hate making these and this one will be doubly hard.

I woke up yesterday morning to a phone call from one of my card club ladies to say that one of the other card club ladies, Cath, had sadly died on Friday evening. Cath was one of the Saughall ladies and she went every month to card club with her daughters. When I moved to Ellesmere Port, her daughters came with me but as it clashed with something else, Cath wasn't able to go.

However, she did manage to get to the September class and I was so pleased cos I missed seeing her. But then her girls told me at the October class that she had been taken poorly whilst on holiday. So I was deeply saddened to hear that she had passed away. I know that her daughters read my blog so girls, you are all in my thoughts right now - she really was a great lady and she will be sadly missed.

On a lighter note, Kyla and Emma have gone out for the day so Tricky Ricky and I are absconding to somewhere nice for our lunch later on. Although the word 'lighter' is a actally a bit of a joke cos you will not be surprised to hear that the diet is going dreadfully.

It isn't the diet's fault, it's entirely mine!!!

I stuck to it for all of half an hour then Emma came in with jam doughnuts and it all went pear shaped - which ironically is what happened to me. I must ask Santa for a good dollop of willpower this year, or I am destined to be a weeble for the rest of my life.

Ahh, did you see SCD?
Miss Trollop (allegedly !!) and poor Joe sadly went home. He wasn't very good was he to be truthful, so I'm not surprised cos he is to dancing what I am to Slimming World - not that I would ever say that to his face.

Fat I maybe, but stupid I sure as hell aint lol xxx

Have a great Sunday and hugs to all xxxxx

A Whiff Of Stamping With Fun :)x

I think my one remaining brain cell has gone to sleep cos I couldn't think of anything witty for a title :(x

But you get the drift!!

I've combined 2 challenges here, namely Whiff of Joy which is to use Die Cuts - I used nesties for the frame and also the blooms - and Stamping With Fun which is a lovely sketch.

I've had my WOJ Lizzie stamp for ages and I thought it was about time that it saw some ink cos it is sooooo sweet. I coloured her with my fav PMs, literally, cos I used Blossom and Soft Lime and I love these 2 colours together.

So complete with shadows, cos the light, is so bad here today, here is me card.

The papers are from the new PP Fairy Lights Christmas collection. This is what I love about Liz's stuff - Fairy Lights are for life, not just for Christmas :))x

I made these paper flowers from the two smallest scalloped nestie circles. And the 'button' is just a punched circle wth a bit of thread, which I coloured with a black PM!!

Bit of a neat cheat me thinks!!!!

I used a MSBP (you can get them over at the ever so fab Dies To Die For btw) some black stick on gems and of course, the absolute fave ribbon was recycled.

Oghhh funny light here in the arty farty shot!!!!
And I was doing so well for a change!!

Well I had an absolute nightmare yesterday (rant alert peeps!!). I ordered a Cricut Cartridge from the US and I have been a bit worried about it to be honest, with the post being how it is.

Anyway, yesterday, I got a card through the door saying that it was at the sorting office and I needed to go and pay £11.28 before they would release it. Mr Customes & Excise had got hold of it and slapped this charge on it. I think the limit is about £18 and this was about £4 over.

So off I went, not very happy about it but it still worked out cheaper than in the UK shops so hey ho. The sorting office peeps were fabulous and they gave me a number to ring for C&E cos they said that they do sometimes reduce this. Well the C&E lady was sooo helpful, she really was. She explained to thicko here that the charge from them was actually £3.28 and the other £8 was the Royal Mail handling charge.

Whaaaaaaat?

I already paid the ruddy postage in the US ($13).

So I rang the Royal Mail and got through to the rudest person I have ever had the misfortune to speak to. She was so high handed and 'explained' to me that they had to go and get this parcel for me from Customs and this incurred charges. Included in it was their interest charge cos they had to pay the C&E up front.

So I asked her what APR they were charging on £3.28and she told me that 'she was not prepared to discuss that with me'. So I then told her straight that I thought this was an absolute disgrace, the charge was disproportionate to the value of the goods and that I did not like the way she had spoken to me, she was rude and unhelpful. I pointed out that if I ever spoke to any of our clients like that, I would be out of a job. She then all but shouted that she had handled my call courteously and had not been rude - haaaaa, yer think so lady!!!!! She then said 'thank you for your call, goodbye.' I then told her that I had not finished yet.

And she put the phone down on me!!!!
Clearly I had finished!!!

So I rang Consumer Direct who told me that the OoFT were aware of this charge and that it was being looked into. They urged me to write to the Royal Mail and outline what had happened, which I am going to do today at some point.

It isn't the dosh cos as I said, it still worked out cheaper, but if they are charging us, I think the least they should do is give us a breakdown at how they arrive at their figure.

At least Dick Turpin wore a mask eh!!!!

So rant over, and that's me done lol xx
Now I'm off to do a bit of work, make a bracelet that a very nice lady has ordered (I might put a pic on here if I get a sec) and then try and source a donkey outfit for Kyla's nativity.

She has been upgraded cos this year she is the litle donkey (she was a star last year). Ahh bless!!! But I have to admit that the shops are not exactly brimming with Neddy outfits, so we might have to resort to a 'Grandma' special.

Poor kid, let's hope I find one.

Have a fab Friday - wooohooo, the weekend is nearly here!!!!
