Hi peeps and a very happy Sunday to all xxx

I hope that you are enjoying your weekend. even if it is a rather damp and dreary one (or is that just not so sunny Chester???)

It's the third Sunday of the month and time to check out this month’s  Colour Challenge over at The Ribbon Girl Blog and what a corker it is …..

… Shades of Aqua

I love aqua and white together as it always look so clean and fresh.

And we have 2 fab prizes for you as well ….

… a gorgeous Aqua Mini Kit, plus ….

Picture 001c copy copy

So this is my card and I used Hello Little Butterfly.  Unfortunately I cannot find my list of Copics peeps – I may have accidently chucked it whilst clearing away the card stuff so that I could sort out the jewellery bits and bobs. I’ll update if I come across it in the next few days :)

The papers are from the Bumbleberry Cottage collection by Nitwits and I think they worked really well for this challenge.

Picture 003c copy

I used the following items which are all available from The Ribbon Girl -

Lace, organza spot ribbon, bakers twine, polka dot buttons

And all of it beautimous :)

Picture 00001c copy

It’s back again and this time there are 2 of them but one has been chopped up and re-arranged a bit.

And I made a white flower using the Spellbinders Rose Creations dies

So there we are all done.

Isn't this rain miserable :(  My poor Richard is playing in a veterans county tennis final in this horrible rain which he was thrilled about – not!!  He was hoping it might be cancelled but he got the call this morning to say it wasn’t. So I am staying in the warm and dry and hoping to get some crafting done and also pack away all the bling etc from yesterday’s class, which was lovely. What a nice bunch of ladies they were and we did have a laugh.

I’m off now to sort out all the odds and sods and then tonight it’s the final of The Apprentice (don’t you just love Lord Sugar of Sugar!!!) and I’ll see you in the week.

Hugs to all xxx

Picture 001c copy

I used the old  Magnolia leaf and swirl again (yes I know it’s getting booooring but I am addicted and probably need some form of therapy to stop me using it lol !!).

But I went for something a bit different than my usual 6x6 card and I used a grand circle and grand scalloped circle die to make the base.

Watercan Tilda (aww!!)  was coloured with these Copics -

E000, E00, E21, R11, R20 (skin), E31, E40, E42. E50 (hair), BV0000, BV00, BV02, BV04, C00, C1, C3, C5, R85, RV0000, RV00, RV14 (clothes etc)

The papers are Pink Petticoat and image, die and Copics  are from Simon Says Stamp

Picture 004c copy    Picture 008c copy

And another beautisimous array of  bloomage courtesy of Wild Orchid Craft

The arrangement was made using  a  Classic  Colour Range 35mm trellis rose, hip rosebuds - 2, 6mm closed rosebuds - 2, 10mm open roses - 1, sweetheart blossoms – 2,  and a cherry blossom

Picture 007c copy

The  self adhesive pearls are also from Wild Orchid Crafts  …..

Picture 006c copy

… and the pretty pink ribbon is my fave silky crush from The Ribbon Girl :)

OK so that’s the cardage done for the week and I’m off to do the prep for my jewellery class tomorrow at Purple Butterfly Crafts.

I will be back at the weekend but before I go I must share this with you lovely peeps. I was lucky enough to be asked if I would try out and review this fabulous lamp here …

590 copy

It’s a daylight table top lamp with a magnifier and is available from The Daylight Lamp Company.

I have to tell you that I am really impressed with it. I did have a small one before and I thought it was OK but once I tried this one there was no comparison. For a start, the head of the lamp is adjustable, not just up and down but it can move from side to side as well so you get the light exactly where YOU want it to be.  It’s  really sturdy and very easy peasy to put together – 10 seconds literally.  And for taking your pics when the light outside is fading, it’s FAB :)

The light is steady – not a flicker in sight and  how I ever managed without a magnifier before I don't know!!.

You see,  I am short sighted – I probably told you this before. Well actually I am as blind as a bat so I have to have bottle bottom contact lenses pretty much. This is fine when I am driving or watching the telly etc etc but when I need to see close up to craft or even to read, I have major probs.

Either I have to take out the lenses and then I am OK but if I get up from the table I am like Mr Magoo and bump into things and generally cause chaos. Or if I leave them in I don’t see that well.

Not any more though cos this has sorted it all out, and when I am doing me jewellery I can see perfectly – even the tiniest beads. And threading is now a doddle.  And like the light, it’s fully flexible so you can move it wherever you want.

So if you are looking to get one or replace the one you have, you could do a lot worse that getting this one.

Hope that helps chicks and enjoy your day and have a great weekend.

Hugs to all and don’t forget to leave your name with Mr Linky for the blog candy – you have to be in it to win it :)xxx xxx

That Didn’t Last Long Then!!!!!

Picture 007c copy

Hi chicksies and hope you are all OK today.

We are almost at the end of the week so it’s  time to see what’s happening over at the Lili Of The Valley Thursday challenge and this week it’s all about

Pink & Blue

Well we LIKE that for sure :)

This week we have not one but two sponsors. Firstly we have The Ribbon Girl  and  check out this  lush mini kit …

mini kit green

And of course we have our very own Lisa and Laila  from Lili of the Valley with a ….

… fab voucher to spend here :)

Picture 001c1 copy

So here’s me card peeps and sorry for the grainy pic again!!!.

I almost used one of the new release but then I spotted little Pom Pom and realised that I hadn’t used her for a while so out she came. We really are spoiled for choice with all the lovelies at LOTV aren’t we :)

I coloured her with these Copics -

E000, E00, E21(skin), E42, E50 (hair), B0000, B00, B12, C00, C1, C3, R85, RV0000, RV00, RV10, YG0000, YG01, YG03 (clothes etc)

The papers are all from the Kaiser Lullaby 6.5 x 6.5 paper pack which are available from Simon Says Stamp

Picture 005c

And the swirl-less spell didn't last long peeps. I just HAD to use it again but don’t worry cos I got a new die this morning so before long I'm sure that will be on here as well.

So just in case you missed the last 100 or so posts with it on (slight exaggeration there lol) you can get the Magnolia leaf and swirl from Simon Says Stamp, along with the other old fave the Tilda Lace Die :)

You wouldn’t want to be be one of my fave dies would you – I work the poor beggars half to death!!!!

The pretty gingham ribbon you can just about see is 15mm Berisford Small Check Gingham in Sky Blue (why do I always cover it up when it’s so lovely) and this is available from The Ribbon Girl

Picture 006c copy    Picture 008c copy

A bit of  Wild Orchid Crafts fabulousness here.

I used a 25mm wild rose, some hip rosebuds, 4mm closed rosebuds and some pretty little sweetheart blossoms

And I added a nice shiny metal corner  and some blue self adhesive rhinestones as well :)

Picture 002c copy      Picture 003c copy

So we are done for today and I’ll see you tomoz with the last card of the week.
