Christmas Cutie :)

We are back to normal now – or as normal as I ever get!!!! And we had a fab time in Spain -  we were there for the world cup final (yawn yawwwwwn) and seeing as they won, it was nice to be part of it. But it’s nice to be home again cos it was a bit too hot for moi. That said, it is persisting down today – it is really heavy rain as well, so a bit of sunshine wouldn’t go a miss as long as it isn't 40 degrees in the shade :(

So anyhoos, it’s Tuesday and time for another Papertake Weekly challenge which this week is one of my faves cos it’s all about cute, which I LOVE (you might have noticed!!)

And this image is just total cuteness I think.

She is gorgeous and she is one of the new Lili Of The Valley Christmas  releases and is called Dropping The Shopping. You can see it here lovelies.

I coloured her with Copics which you can get from Tracey at Dies To Die For in these colours -

100, C00, C1, C3, C5, E00, E21, E42, E50, R11, R27, R35, R46, YG0000, YG06, YG63

The papers are both Pink Petticoat and I think grey and red are just fab together for Chrimbly cards, I really do.

The poinsettias and holly leaves are also perfect for a bit of seasonal tarting up and these are both available from the always wonderful Wild Orchid Crafts – you can see the festive flowers here  and holly leaves here chicksters.

Yule love them (sorry – I can’t help it sometimes lol xxx)

This gorge red ribbon is one of my fave things at the mo.  It’s the most fab shade of red and once again you can get it from Wild Orchid Crafts – here’s the link. It’s 25mm wide and I wanted something a little narrower for the strip so I just folded it in half and glued the edges together.

Simples!!!!

Flower Soft in Polar White makes fab snow. Just add a thick line of tacky glue (WOC do a good one) and sprinkle with Flower Soft and leave for a little bit so that it soaks into the glue.

And there’s me card.

I’m still catching up with work so I better get on with it – don't want to get me trotters slapped :(

Cookin’ With Tilda :)

Hi peeps and hope everyone is ok xxx

Today, there’s a recipe challenge over at the Just Magnolia Challenge and it is

3 flowers,  2 papers and 1 ribbon

So this is what I did with it.

Tilda was coloured with Copics and sprinkled with Glamour Dust which you can maybe just about see.

And the goodies I used for the recipe are ….

3 flowers - of course, they are from the very wonderful Wild Orchid Crafts

2 papers – and these are the very new Tim Holtz Idea-ology Vintage Shabby papers which Tracy has over at Dies To Die For.

I’m not saying I like them, but ……………….. ding dong lol !!!!!!

And 1 ribbon which is also from Wild Orchid Crafts – you can find it here lovely peeps :)

So that’s me card done and I hope that you are all having a fabbydoodles day. It’s  Friday and the weekend is very nearly here – wooohooooo!!!

I cannot believe it’s been 2 weeks since the last Lili Of The Valley challenge – where on earth did the last 2 weeks go? Or am I just getting old perhaps!!!!!

It’s A Girlie Thing

Well of course, I had to go with that one didn't I !!!!

This is what I did. 

And I didn't put a Copic anywhere near it, because I used one of the awesome die cut sheets. This one is Mirror Mirror and they are on offer at 50p each until 12th July so you still have a few days chicksters to stock up.  

And some of the LOTV girlies have used the new Christmas images – OMLIFE they are fabulous, I kid you not!!! Do check them out if you get a sec

The gorgeous blooms  are of course the very wonderful Wild Orchid Crafts. Please excuse the fuzzy wuzzy goings on with this pic btw :(

The pink papers are of course Pink Petticoat – I love this shade of pink – it’s called ‘pretty’ and I think that just about sums it up.

Gorgeous!!!

The greeting btw was done on the old ‘puter and printed onto Safmat.

And there you go.

Piggy Pixie :)

   I really am a piggy pixie, because to the lovely peeps over at The Pixie Cottage (LOVE that name!!) asked me if I would join them as GD today. Well of course I was totally honoured to be asked and hugest of thanks to them for thinking of me xxx

So their challenge this week is one of me sketches …

.. this dude here, with the optional extra of making an aperture card.

I didn’t do that bit cos I am so not good at apertures to be honest!!

This little sweetie is Ballerina Fairy and you can find her here. I coloured her with Copics and sprinkled Glamour Dust about the place as if there was no tomorrow!!!

I also added some gems and a bling flower.

 

And of course the old faithful punch was gotten out again (well to be honest, I never really put the poor sod away!!!!

And  Tracy at Dies To Die For can sort you out with one of these beauties (and also Copics) if you are wanting to get your mitts on one!!

And at the mo LOTV are having a bit of mid summer madness. This image is from Oh So Girlie, which is one of the new A5 unmounted stamp sets which are only £12 and for that you get 4 images and 8 sentiments :)  This offer is only on until 12th July so don't miss out chicksters.

Check out the designer die cuts as well while you are there because at the mo they are 50p each (fab for your Chrizzi cards)

The spotty paper is Craftwork Cards and the gingham was lying in the bottom of my paper box so I don’t know where it came from peeps, sorry!!! The good old MSBP is once again in evidence and you can get these from Tracy at Dies To Die For (and your Copics as well).

I THINK she might have some of that beautisimous ribbon as well

Why Does It Always Happen To Me???????

Ohhh I am soooooooooo late with my card this week for the fabbydoodles Just Magnolia challenge peeps – more in a sec.

But we are on the case now and I guess better late than never

This week it’s our special monthly challenge and it’s a lovely one is this, because we want you to make a criss -cross card. There are lots of tutorials in the land of blog but our featured stamper Jeanette from Happy Thoughts and Ink Spots has a cracking one to follow and if this bit works correctly, (and as I’ve done it, it may well not lolxxx), you should be able to see it ….

Before I get onto my card, I just want to send loads of love and best wishes to my JM teamie Michelle. She has had a terrible accident and has lost her right eye – you can read about it on her blog here. Michelle, I am thinking about you my love and hope things are on the up for you xxx

So, this is what I did- no shocks here today peeps ie lots of pink, ribbon and blooms :)

Well we’ve had a funny couple of days I have to say, most of which I won’t bore you with, but you might enjoy this story which is the reason I am late getting this on here. I am enjoying it now but I really wasn't at the time (and neither was our poor Kyla).

I picked little Miss up from nursery on Thursday as she was in residence for the evening and we went home. Rich was already there and was sorting out the food for the birds for the following day. It's all frozen so he gets it out of the freezer in the evening so it’s defrosted in time for the next day. So as we arrive, he is going into the garage where the bird food freezers are and just as we are going into the house, I hear an almighty crash. So we ran to the garage only to find that the up and over door had fallen down and had jammed shut – and he was trapped inside the garage.

Well I did snigger a bit I must be honest, and then I set to and tried to open the door.

But would it budge – not a flamin chance!!! So he is trying to free it from the inside and I am trying to free it from the outside. But it was literally stuck fast. Well poor Kyla was crying her little heart out because she probably thought she would not see him again and he was telling her through the door that he was fine and there was nothing to worry about. I am wondering if we should call the fire brigade or what the hell to do  (calm in a crisis – not!!) and he is saying, no don’t be ridiculous, I’ll sort it, and I'm thinking he is going to dehydrate in there cos it’s like a furnace.

So not so much sniggering now!!!

Well the upshot was that it took us AGES to get him out but he emerged unscathed eventually. But it obviously effected poor Kyla -  she ended up having a bad dream that night and I was up half the night with her, poor little sausage.

So anyway, by the time we had got him out, there was no light to take the pic and then I was in a zombie like state yesterday and forgot to sort it.

Oh the trials and tribulations!! And my God,  I’ve waffled today peeps so thanks for staying with me (those of you who are still awake lol xxx)
