I Can Smell Candyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, Woohoooo :)

Picture 018c copy

Hi lovely peeps and hope you are all OK.  There’s lots going on here today fo’ sho’!!!!

As promised yesterday today is a vey special day because for the second year in a row, Simon Says Stamp and Show & The Simon Says Stamp Challenge are joining forces to bring you a SUPER hop and treasure hunt to celebrate the approaching fall and winter holidays.

To help celebrate we will be giving this mahoosive basket of crafty goodies  to the winner of this hop …

If that wasn’t amazing enough, there are 3 fab extra prizes along the way for you to find :)

Yes 3 lucky girlies will each win a $25 voucher to spend in the Simon Says Stamp Store ! The vouchers will be the hidden treasure on 3 DT blogs and you have to find them.

The Blog hop will finish on September 5th at 12 MN Ohio time (Sept 6th, 6 am CET, 5 am UK time) at on the Simon Says Stamp & Show Blog.

The theme for both challenges this week will be

ANYTHING GOES.

You can make anything you like … a card, an ATC, a Scrapbook layout, whatever floats your boat, so just enjoy yourselves and get creating :)

You will need to hop through each blog, find the little parcel of goodies and make a note on which designer’s blog you found them. You do not HAVE to comment on all the DT blogs but we would appreciate any comments you would like to leave. If you lose your way at any time a full list of all the participating blogs with links will be available on Simon Says Stamp Challenge and the Stamp and Show Challenge blogs and all the details can be found on both sites.

So if you arrived here from the super talented Lynne Forsythe’s blog,  then you are going in the right direction otherwise you need to start at the beginning on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

This week the DT are showcasing Cuttlebug embossing folders. You don’t HAVE to use them but if you have them, why not get them out ! :-)

Ooooeerrr, what was that I just saw :) Make a note me darlins  xxx

But before you nip off, pleeeze let me share me card ….

Picture 014c copy

This is an older Tilda but I still love her – she’s a bit on the funky side I reckon, and as always I gave her the Copics treatment plus a dust down with the polychromos.

These are the Copics I used ..

E000, E00, E21, R11, R20 (skin), E41, E42, E50 (hair), B0000, B00, B02, C00, C1,, C3, C5, YG000, YG01. YG03 (the rest)

The papers are Prima Flowers  Jack And Jill 6x6 paper pad :)

Picture 017c copy

I Cuttlebugged the large flower and blinged it up – you can maybe just see it if you squint hard enough!!!

I also did the same to the little border and then went over the dots with me Copic pen, cos clearly I have too much time on my hands!!!!

Picture 015c copy

Picture 016c copy

OK so that’s enough from me cos I;m sure you want to get on with the hoppity hop now :)

From here you need to go to the super talented Chris’s  blog for more inspiration, and don’t forget to keep a look out for the treasure  :-)  You don’t have to but if you want to leave a comment, it would be FAB :)

The last stop on the hop is the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge blog. You will need to leave a comment there with the names of the 3 blogs with treasure chest pictures. The comments will be moderated so you will not be able to see the answers.

Enjoy the rest of the hop and have a great day.

Hugs to all xxx

Back In One Piece – Well Almost!!!!

Picture 022c copy

Hi peeps and hope everyone is OK. We got back in one piece from our camping expedition – well almost, but more of that in a sec. Firstly I better get me card on as I am a tad on the late side again.

So nipping over to  Papertake Weekly, we have a sketch for you ….

sketch #62

… and here is the very chap.

It’s one of my faves I have to say and I like it as there is a lot of room for manoeuvre here, but for once I didn't tinker and just stuck to the pic!!!! This was probably cos my 2 brain cells are still not fully back in creative mode.

We are sponsored by wonderful Heidi and crew over at Simon Says Stamp.

Photobucket

And there is a shopping voucher up for grabs for one lucky girlie so if you get a sec, nip over and have a nosey :)

Picture 016c copy

So here’s the old card.

I decided to use one of the new CC Designs images and this one is a lil sweetie called Abigail. You can get her and other newbies from the lovely Tracy at Dies To Die For and you can see them all here.

I did the Copics thing (natch!!) and these are the colours I used -

E000, E00, E21, R11, R20 (skin), E41, E42, E50 (hair), BG0000, BG02, BG10, C00, C1,, C3, C5, R85, RV0000, RV000. RV00 (the rest)

and there’s some polychomos pencilling here and there as well.

The gorgeous papers are from the new My Minds Eye Happier 6 x 6 pad and are also available from Dies To Die For.

And in case you haven't checked them out, Tracy has some really good offers on at the mo including some paper offers plus a whole heap of new stuff in so it’s well worth a butchers me darlins :)

Picture 019c copy

I am LOVING these.

They are sparkly buttons and you can get them from the one and only Ribbon Girl.

This pic doesn’t do them anywhere near justice – they are blinga-linga-lious and they are more sparkly than Donny Osmond’s gnashers :)

And the pretty ribbon is 15mm satin – aqua – and is also from The Ribbon Girl

  Picture 020c copy

I just used a few pretty blooms – you don't always need a florist shop full I think – and these are sweetheart blossoms and 6mm closed rosebuds, both from Wild Orchid Crafts.

 Picture 021c copy

A Pink Petticoat sentiment printed onto Safmat – what would we do without that stuff!!!

Picture 017c copy

Picture 018c copy

So that’s the old card done.

Well the camping was fab.

We enjoyed the break but the weather wasn't brill. We arrived at the campsite in pouring rain and gusting wind and started to put the tent up.  After what seemed like a week later, it was up and we literally had to peel our wet clothes off. Not the best start to the hol and the legs itched like hell for hours after!!  My Emma had her shower cap on while she was putting up their tent as the hood on her waterproof was getting in her way. She refused to let us take pics which is a shame as it was quite a sight to behold!!!

It rained and trained for most of the Saturday and all through the night as well and the winds were something else. I did wonder if our tent would stay up, but it did and we did feel a bit smug as we lay there all warm and cozy in our sleeping bags  listening to the awful weather outside, and thank you Mr Vango btw, those sleeping bags are AMAZING.

But to be fair, the next day was lovely and that’s pretty much how it continued. So we spend our days going around the lovely island of Anglesey (and eyeing up the possibilities of  retiring  to Beaumaris which is just gorgeous) and the rest of our nights sitting around the BBQ and eating, drinking and being fairly merry :)

So far so good – well you knew it wouldn’t last!!!

On the Wednesday I started with a sore throat and at first I thought it was because I had stupidly inhaled fly spray that I;d sprayed into our tent as there was  a wasp flying around. On Thursday it was still quite sore but I felt OK in myself. But by Friday afternoon and thankfully once we had gotten back home,  I wasn't at all OK and a really heavy cold had set in, no doubt thanks to the soaking we got on our first day.

That will teach me to be smug in me sleeping bag I guess!!!

So I spent the weekend lying on the coach and generally feeling sorry for myself. R had gone to Cornwall to see his mum so thankfully there wasn’t anybody about to inflict the misery on.

And speaking of R, my lovely Richard was 50 yesterday (he’s a bit of a toy boy, but only by a couple of years!!).  So we all went out for a bite to eat and I could only manage my starter which isn't like me at all.

Picture 006c copy

I look the picture of health don’t I – not!!!!

Thank God there’s no sound cos there was much sniffing, snotting,  coughing and spluttering I can tell you!! How the others managed to eat with my sound effects I have no clue, poor things!!!

So I have been on the Berocca to try and pep myself up.

So far I haven’t felt compelled to go and do any lumber jacking but it will kick in soon I feel sure!!!

untitled

Me but on a good day – I’m the one on the left lol!! Oooerr,  I wonder if it will make me grow a beard???

(like I haven’t got one already, hahhhaaaaaa!!!)

Anyway I am far too ill to carry on this hilarity so I better get off and go and have another sniff of the Olbas Oil.

But I’ll leave you with a sneakie peekie ……

Picture 014c copy copy

.. of my card for tomorrow.

BUT there’ll be a bit more than a card here so if you get a sec, come back and check it all out. I can’t say too much but I think that even with my bunged up snout, I can detect the whiff of candy in the air!!!

Enjoy your evening and have a great day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

So this is what I did.

I used  Tilda With Hawaii Flower and coloured her with these Copics -

E000, E00, E21, R11, R20 (skin), E33, E41, E42, E50 (hair), G94, R85, RV0000, RV000, RV00, YG0000, YG01, YG03 (the rest)

and I added depth with the good old polychromos pencils.

The papers are from the Prima Flowers  Jack And Jill 6x6 paper pad

Picture 005c copy

A quartet of dies here and all of them Magnolia.

I used the Magnolia leaf and swirl die, the Magnolia Doily Flower dies, the Tilda Lace Die and finally the Old Swedish Lace die and of course they are all available from the Simon Says Stamp Store

Picture 004c copy

A close up of the butterfly – it’s a very old punch, the first one I ever bought!!!

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

Right so I am done again today and keep your fingers crossed that we are still warm and dry in our tent!!!

Have a great day and see you soon if not sooner.

A Great Name :)xxx

Picture 008c copy

Morning peeps and if this has worked  then I’ll be sunning myself in Anglesey as this goes out (if it doesn’t work I will still be sunning myself in Anglesey lol!!)

I say sunning but the forecast aint great so that may be as much wishful thinking as me getting the scheduling right – I don't know what I do but it sometimes doesn’t work.

Anyway I’ll assume it has and it’s time to nip over to see what’s happening with the Papertake Weekly gang and this week the  wonderful Lols is looking after things while I am away ( hugest thanks chick xxx)

We are sponsored by the lovely Tracy at Dies To Die For and there is ….

DTDFvoucher_thumb[1]

… a yummy voucher up for grabs :)

Our theme is

To Die For

and all you have to do is use a die cut somewhere on your card – simple as that!!!

Picture 010c copy

I thought I would do something a bit different ie an easel card and I made a bit of a hash of it and hadn’t got the 2 halves centred correctly (bloody amateur!!). I don’t know why I do these cos I cannot for the life of me take a decent pic of one!!!!

See that cute image?

Well she is called Dawn. How cool is that!!! She is one of the Nellie Snellen images and this one is called Little Dawn – Surprised (which is what I will be if this post works – without the little bit natch!!)

I used the old Copics and didn't chuck out the list so here goes -

E000, E00, E21, R11, R20 (skin),  E41, E42, E50 (hair), BG0000,BG01, BG10, R85, RV0000, RV000, RV00, YG0000 (the rest)

The papers are Bo Bunny Sweet Tooth and you can get them and the sweet image from Dies To Die For

Picture 009c copy

A yummy bit of seam binding and a sweet polka dot button – both from The Ribbon Girl

The gems are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the sentiment is Pink Petticoat.

Right that’s me done for today. I’ll be back tomoz (hopefully) with another card and I’ll leave you with a sneakie peekie …..

Picture 001c copy copy

… there ya go :)

Have a great day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Oh My Life ……..

Picture 011c copy

Morning peeps and a happy Friday to one and all :)

OML I am a tad late with this card due to probs trying to get this to actually post and I’ve also been a bit under the weather with one thing and another. But we are here now and better late than never I guess.

It’s actually my card for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge  which this week is all about

Food & Drinks :)

Ohh we LIKE that one (snort snort little piggy!!)

As always the lovely Heidi has given a whopper of a prize ….

.. to spend in the store

Picture 007c copy

So I went for a cute Tilda – this one is Tilda with Cherries and she was coloured with Copics and the teeniest dash of polychromos here and there.

Picture 010c copy

Ohhh yes, just for a change I used my fave brace of dies, the Magnolia leaf and swirl and Tilda Lace Die

Picture 008c copy

Picture 009c copy

A coupe more pics to finish :)

Miss Kyla has gone back  home and this time she really missed her mummy (and I have a sneaky feeling that mummy missed her just as much too!!) The house is quiet once again and order is restored and you know what? I don't much care for it really although poor Richard, who was run ragged, is I think glad of a bit of peace and quiet – but not for too long. Well not long at all really as we are away with them next week for another helping of camping delights!!  We had a very busy week going here, there and everywhere and once I’ve sorted the pics out, I’ll share one or two with you – one is particularly sweet -  but I just have to work out how to get them off of the phone and onto the pc so that I can do me editing thing!!!

My eldest and her friend are  house / bird / cat sitting bless her as she isn't into the outdoor stuff like Emma is - she is a real townie. I did offer for her to come with us but she said thanks but no thanks – nowhere to plug  her straighteners in lol!!!!  I was like that once upon a time but the older I get the more I don’t seem to care if the hair gets frizzy and me make up runs in the rain ( yes I do still put that on on account that I don't want to scare the other campers and the wildlife!!)

So on that note I am off to get the outdoor stuff out and give it all a good  wash. I’ll see you next week as I am scheduling some posts so fingers crossed that they work!!

Enjoy the weekend and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Cream Crackered!!!!!

Picture 003c copy

Hi peeps and oh yes we are pooped here this week.

The reason is that we have a little visitor and love her as we do, she is quite hard work. I’ve realised why it is that God gives us the flamin’ menopause!!!!!

I am shattered!!!!

And I missed my JM post on Friday but I’ll pop it on here this week cos I did quite like the card.

But today it's time to nip over to Papertake Weekly and see what’s going on there.  We have a game of bingo this week and the card …

bingo1

.. is this one.

You’ll see that there are some free squares so you can add your own little touches – I hope you like that idea :)

You will definitely like the prize this week cos we are sponsored by

ribbon girl logo

and ….

kit_pink

… there is a fab pink mini kit going to one lucky girlie.

Picture 001c copy

So this is what I did.

I used an image I haven’t used for a while,  just for a change,  and it’s a Bildmalarna image – one of the new ones which are available from Tracy over at Dies To Die For and she is Little Winged Friends - I Picked Some Flowers.

Check out the other new ones if you get a sec peeps cos they are verrry sweet :)

The paper is also from Dies To Die For but I need to check with T which one it is cos I dropped the ones she sent me and got them mixed up – doh!!

I coloured it with Copics

E000, E00, E21 skin), E33, E42, E50, E51 (hair), C00, C1, C3, C5, RV0000, RV000, TV00, RV10, R85, YG0000, YG01, YG03, YG94 (the rest!!)

… and I added some polychromos pencil deets for added depth.

Picture 005c copy

The fab  ribbon is 25mm rose pink gingham and is from The Ribbon Girl.

Picture 006c copy

I made one of me little arrangements using blooms from Wild Orchid Crafts and I also used a duo of Martha’s finest punches :)

Picture 002c copy

Picture 004c copy

So that’s me done  for today and I’m off to rescue poor Richard cos I can hear much whooping and laughing downstairs – I think the little termite is running the poor old beggar ragged!!!

I’ll see you tomoz and I’ll leave you with a sneak peek of what’ll be on here …..

Picture 007c copy copy

…. bet you can’t guess what image I used!!!!

Have a great night and if it wasn’t illegal to be drunk in charge of a kid, I would be rolling let me tell you !!!

Enjoy your night and hugs to all xxx
