Pretty Pink & Luscious Lime :)

Picture 016 copy

This has got to be one of my fave ever colour combis (you probably noticed lol xxx)

And this is probably one of my fave Anya images, so we were off to a good start for this week’s challenge over at Anyone For Anya. All we needed was a layout and as it’s the last challenge of the month, we always have a sketch, so that was taken care of as well.

sketch #7 copy

And this is our sketch this week.

I like this sketch because you don't need too much design paper, and it’s also quite flexible and work work any way up.

I rotated it counter clockwise ….

Picture 014 copy

…. like this.

I coloured the image with PMs and added a touch of Glamour Dust cos I wanted her petticoat to sort of match the tulle. This Anya is from the Miss Anya Dressy set which you can get from the ever so fab Tracy at Dies To Die For – you can see them here - and she also does a great range of PMs as well.

The papers, which are also from Tracy, are from the new My Minds Eye range  and they really are very verrrry nice :) I used Quite Contrary - Little Miss Muffet - Delight - Purple Plumes and Quite Contrary - Mary Mary - Sweetie Pie - Berry Preserves.

BTW peeps, if you nip over to the website following these links  you will see one side of the papers but I used the side you can’t see – typical!!!. But all the MME papers are double sided and fabulous quality.

bloom

And talking of quality, so are the blooms which are also from Tracy, as is the brad which is from the new MME Lush range.

I used the brad to fasten the blooms  together then stuck them onto a bit of tulle.

Picture 017 copy

And that’s the card all done.  If you get a sec, nip over and check out what the other girlies have done with the sketch – such GORGEOUS cards to share, as always. And we also have a fab sponsor and prize for you as well :)

Well we have had the most lazy morning here at the pig sty. Emma is slowly integrating Kyla into the new house so they stayed over there last night. It was really strange to wake up, look at the clock and see  that it was 07.39am and NOT hear either singing or the other dawn chorus of ‘Grandma, is it time to get up yet?’ on a Sunday morning.

She had a great time at her princess party and came back in a better frame of mind to the one she went out in, which was, quite frankly stroppy!!! The off they went to the new house and we had our dinner in relative peace (well the car is still here and she whinges more than Kyla!!!). There wasn't much on the telly so we (or rather I) decided to watch Most Haunted Live. Now I have to say that I love this prog – not sure how much is put on and how much is genuine though – but it’s quite entertaining.

Someone sent me a link to a quite funny clip which sort of has a pop at Derek ‘thank you Sam’  Acorah. Wanna see?

Here ya go!!

There’s an even funnier one but it’s a bit on the smutty side so best not put it on here !!! Email me if you want the link though cos it is just fab!!!

Now I’m not making fun of this sort of stuff cos I am gullible enough to believe in some of it, but I cant make me mind up about old Derek.

So on that note, I’m off to mop the kitchen floor and then go and do a bit of shopping (I know, l live a very glam life!!)

Have the best Sunday peeps and see you soon if not sooner. Hugs to all xxx

Awww, Cute As A Button :)

ed copy

This li’l fella has to be one of the sweetest ever I think, with his little baldie head and chubby cheeks – awww!!!.

And I’ve been dying to ink him up from the minute he arrived at chez piggy. He is of course one of the new Lily Of The Valley images which are just awesome. Check them all out here peeps if you haven't already seen them.

Anyhoos, sweet baby boy is so cute that I just had to use him for this week’s Cute Card Thursday challenge and this week they’ve gone all

Ribbon-tastic :)

Just up my street I thought lol!!!

Picture 002 copy So this is what I did.

I coloured sweet baby with my PMs – the newer muted colours are just perfect I think for these images. And of course you can get a fine selection of these bad boys from Tracy over at Dies To Die For.

And the gorgeous papers are all from the new Wild Rose Studio paper stacks. I used Candy Floss and Polka Dots and you can see them here.

button

The white organza ribbon and blue button were from my stash and I just tied a bit of twine through the button and gave it a bit of a curl .

Picture 005 copy1

A computer generated sentiment and some flat backed pearls finished it all off, and that was me done.

This is one of those cards that I really REALLY like cos it looks clean and fresh and ticks all the boxes for me. Now if you want to get your hands on a couple of these images, keep watching the pig sty peeps cos I have a feeling that there might be a bit more blog candy on the way………..

Have you seen my ugly mug in the new edition of Quick Cards Made Easy? Poor beggars if you have!!! I don’t have that many pics of me cos a) I’ve broken too many cameras and b) I cannot afford the litigation costs lol xxx That one in there does make me look like a bit of a simpleton (hold that thought perleeeeeeeeze!!). But it was the best of a bad job (yes, really). Shame isn't it!!).

It’s all about the world of blogging and I think it’s a great article and I hope that more people come and join us all in the land of Blog. I was so pleased to be asked to do it so huge thanks to the fab peeps at QCME and one other special girlie in partic who I won’t name but she knows who she is xxxx

And if you’ve read the article and have come for a little nosey and you’re reading this and wondering if you should take the plunge, then I would say GO for it because it’s a great way to share your work and there is so much inspiration to be found by visiting all the different blogs. Have a look round by clicking on the links or any of the names in our sidebars and you’ll see a wealth of styles out there.

And it really isn't that difficult to get your blog up and running. Believe me, if this dozy old thicko can do it, then so can anyone. It is a bit scary the first time you press the ‘publish’ button, but we've all had to do it and you’ll find that crafty blogger are just the best.

Well I’m off for a bit of a tidy up (my rock and roll lifestyle is something else at times!!). Kyla is going to a princess party (awww!!) and Richie Rich is working so I can get through it in no time which will then leave me more time for a bit more crafting later - it’s card club on Monday so I have the packs to prepare.

Have a fab day peeps and see ya tomorrow for another Anyone For Anya challenge. Hugs to all xxx

Easel-y Very Verrrry Sweet xxx

tilda

Mornin’ peeps and hope everyone is well.

Tis Friday and ohh it has to be one of my fave days of the week. Not only is the weekend almost here, but it's time for a new challenge over at Just Magnolia and this week it’s all about

BIRTHDAYS

As always, the JM girlies have produced a fabulous array of cardage to share, and there’s an awesome prize up for grabs from our wonderful sponsor, Jacobi Drachten, so do nip over if you get a sec and check it all out.

Picture 010 copyed

And this is my card.

I decided to do an easel card, even if they are not the easiest to photograph (or is that just me!!!).

I coloured this very sweet Tilda with the old PMs and added a sprinkling of bling to various bits and bobs!!!

And I’ve gone all MME again cos I just love the new papers. These are Quite Contrary - Mary Mary - Sweetie Pie and Berry Preserves (it’s double sided so I’m not sure which is which, but it’s the green one!!) and the gingham is Quite Contrary - Little Miss Muffet – Delight and Purple Plumes. I think this one is Delight - it’s certainly delightful!!!

And of course, you can nab yourselves all sorts of MME fabulousness from Tracy at Dies To Die For :)

I think the new camera and light box duo are coping a bit better with these colours cos I used to struggle like mad. But it looks OK here so trotters crossed lol!!!

bloom

This flower is just totally and utterly gorgeous.

It’s one of the new Pearl Penache blooms – this one’s Snowbird - from Dies To Die For and this picture does not do it justice. It’s pure white with a light frosting of glitter – just the prettiest. You can see them here peeps. The beautiful MSBPs are also from Tracy.

So that’s me card folks.

Not much in the way of waffle today except to say that I’ll be back tomorra with a very cute card indeed. We’re having a meeting today at work and I didn't get my hair done in time so I bear an uncanny resemblance to a badger right now (and a straggly one at that!!)

Oh dear :(

I’ll have to get the L’Oreal out later and sort it out cos it isn't attractive – unless you are another badger I suppose.

Have a fabby day and I’ll see you manana. Hugs to all xxx

Only Just ……

edit

….. made it but oooh I am late today!!!

I’ve had one of those rush about like a mad beggar sort of days and this should have been on here hours ago.

But better late than never for this week’s Papertake Weekly!!

ptw _35[1]_thumb[1][1]

This week it’s time for a sketch and it’s this one. And we are being sponsored by the fabulous Heidi at Simon says Stamp so if you get a sec, nip over and check it all out. There’s some awesome cards as always for you to feats yer eyes on :)

Picture 001 copy

And this is what I did.

The image is by Pink Cat and those owls are perfect for the papers. Yes, we’ve gone all MME again – these are the Quite Contrary Little Boy Blue papers. I LOVE them :) I did the PM thing and added a smidgen of blingy stuff.

You can get hold of all the images, papers and PMs from the very wonderful and lovely Tracy at Dies To Die For

Picture 004 copyAnd here’s the arty farty angle pics to finish.

I used my new camera for the first time today and it’s really rather fab and funky. The pics seem a bit clearer to me I have to say. I think it was a good call to replace the old chunky Olympus cos it was a bit out of date, bless it!!

So as it’s a bit late and my eyeballs are meeting in the middle, I’m off to bed cos I am sooooo tired. I’ll be back tomorrow cos it’s blog candy winner time, so if you entered, don't forget to check back. Cos ti coud be yoooooooooou!!!

Have a fab night peeps and mahoosive hugs xxx

Something Completely Different

Picture 003 copy

Morning lovely peeps and hope everyone is well xxx

It’s Sunday so that means it's time for another challenge over at Anyone For Anya and this week we thought it might be nice to do something different. So that’s our challenge :)

You can use an image you’ve not used before or try a different card fold or technique – it’s entirely your choice. I decided to do a male card as it isn't something I usually do and also this is the first outing for Dressy Eddie here. There is a fab prize as well, kindly donated by the very wonderful Tracy at Dies To Die For.

As always, I coloured Eddie with my PMs, but no bling natch!!!

Now is it me or does this image remind you of Philip Schofield?????

It’s a totally fab image for a blokey card I think!!

Picture 001 copyedit

So here’s me card.

Now check out some more of these awesome papers!!
These are more of the MME Lush, this time in red. And such good value I think as they are double sided. You can get them from Tracy at Dies To Die For and you can see them here.

Picture 004 copy

I finished it all off with a couple of buttons, a sentiment and some black stick on gems. The other girls have been a lot more adventurous than I have and there are some completely gorgeous cards over at the blog so if you get a sec, don't forget to check it all out.

Well it’s a cold and snowy morning here in Chester and I have to go out in it shortly – not looking forward to that!! But I’ve got me and new camera and it was absolute bargain from Argoose. It’s a Samsung which I’ve never used before but Emma has one and I borrowed it to take these pics and was quite pleased. As it happens, the newest version is on offer and I got it for just under £80. It has an auto scene function which will hopefully take all the guess work out for me so maybe you’ll get to see some better quality pics, assuming I don't mess them up in the editing!!!

But being the dope that I am, I forgot the get the memory card to go with it – I wondered why it only let me take 2 pics and then it said ‘memory full’ – doh!!! So that's where I am off shortly!!

And what about Easties?
Well I didn’t see that one coming!!!
And poor old Bradley – it will not be the same without him. Maybe he'll end up taking the rap for Stacey. Did anyone see the show that went out after where they interviewed the cast? I wonder why the actress that played her wasn't on it? Verrrry strange that and no Babs Windsor either!!!

No doubt it will all come out in the wash, but until then we have Dancing On Ice to look forward to tonight. Ohh I do love watching Dan and Hayley – probably not as much as Kath but there again. I don't reckon she even notices Hayley lol !!!!

I’ve got dinner organised – we are having quesadillas tonight (cheese and chilli, yummy) and we had tacos last night and chilli con carne last week. To be honest, I’m beginning to wonder if I’m over-doing the Mexican food thing though.

What do you think???

Pry044 - dppancho

And on that note I’m off to find me Gillette Mach 3 or whatever it’s called (hark at me pretending I don't know lol!!!) and sort out the mush before I frighten the kids!!!

Have a fab Sunday and see ya soon if not sooner and hugs to all xxxx

Tilda-Tastic & Papers To Die For!!!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Hi peeps  and hope that everyone is well xxx

Guess who forgot to write a sentiment on the tag that Tilda is holding – doh!!!!!

Anyway, it’s Friday, the weekend is nearly here and it’s time for another fab challenge over at Just Magnolia.  This week there is a wonderful sketch by the very lovely Jay Jay …….

JayJay sketch week 41[1]

…………….. its this one and and it was a pleasure to work with it.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

And here’s what I did with it.

Now of course you’ll know that I coloured Miss Tilda with my old faithfuls and there is a teeny bit of the blingy stuff on here.

But what my crappo photography doesn’t really show is just how gorge those papers are. Those of you who know me will know that I am a real paper stroker and when these arrived at chez Piggy, I KNEW I just had to use them – like NOW. But I had a terrible job actually putting the scissors near them -  ohh it was tough. And it was a wonder they were useable at all after all the drooling I did over them – practically soggy they were lol!!

But I was brave and I did it!!!

They are the new My Mind’s Eye papers and they are from the Lush range. The damask one that I used here is actually flocked and is so strokeable, it really is.  I’d actually put it on my walls!!!! And it picks up the ink really nicely if you are distressing / inking up the edges.

I said they were ‘to die for’ and that is exactly where you can get your mitts on them peeps – from the fabby-tastic Tracy over at Dies To Die For. You can see them in their full glory here and you can also get a fine array of PMs there as well as gazillions of other yummy stuff as well.

 OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Here’s where you get to see the dimension – and there is some here cos we don’t do flat as a rule lol xxx I’ve been at the Wild Orchid Crafts paper woses and the tulle again. And there’s another one of Martha’s finest on there as well. Ohh have you seen the new MS punches that are out?  Check those babies out here :)

So that‘s me done for today!!! If you get a sec, do nip over and see what the other Magnolia chicksters have done with Jay Jay’s sketch, and all of it just stunning. Have a fab day and a great weekend and don't forget Easties tonight – we’re gonna find out who killed Archie.

Dum dum dum dum dum.

My money is on either Jack Branning or Peggy ‘ger art of ma pub’ Mitchell. Or maybe it’s Phil and Peggy takes the rap for him. Or what about Sean Slater? Or Grant?

Dum dum dum dum dum.

If you think I’m sad, you should see Emma. Her office have a sweep going lol!!!

Tarra for now peeps xxxx

Oh My Life!!!!!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

It’s true – I am officially one of Lili’s Fairies.

Now hold that thought cos I know I am more like a fairy heffa umpa lumpa (or however the heck you spell it!!). But I have been doing the happy dance ever since I was asked – you probably felt the ground shaking - and with images like these, how could you say no!!!

I mean, have you seen them – pure gorge!!!!

So this is my first outing as a fully fledged DT member and over at the Lili Of The Valley challenge, this week we have had a sketch to follow created by the fair hands of the sweetness that is Jacqui - and a fab one it is as well.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

And this is what I did with it.

The image is called Rosie Posie and she is just the sweetest. I coloured her of course with my PMs and there is a weeny bit of Glamour Dust in there. You can get hold of your very own bad boys from Tracy over at Dies To Die For and the new colours are fab. I also thought I’d add a bit of Martha on there (not like me I know lol!!!) You can also get these from Tracy as well as heaps of other wonderful stuff :)

And the papers are all from Dulcie’s new Wild Rose Studio paper stacks. I used the Polka Dots pack which you can see here

The gorgeous flowers (mmm, there is a trend emerging here) are from the very wonderful Wild Orchid Crafts and I added a little tulle bow (another trend which appears to be emerging).

I am such a creature of habit, I know.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

And there you go.

Do nip over and have a mooch at what the rest of Lili’s fab fairies have done – I’ve seen and they are beautisimus!!! And you don't even need to have a LOTV stamp to join in with the challenge either :)xxx

Now I just HAVE to share this with you peeps.

I finished my card at stupid o'clock last night when there was zilcho in the way of light. Now you know how awesome I am at the photography thing (not!!). But the pics haven’t come out that bad (for me) considering it was 9.30pm and I’ll share my little secret with you ………….

a03blI got me one of these babies.

Its a portable light box thing or portable soft lighting studio to give it’s full title (bit pretentious me thinks!!). It cost a whopping £9.99 from Maplins (all together now, ‘hi de hi campers’ ) and you can see them here – and I am really impressed.

Now I won’t lie – it took Emma and I about 10 minutes to fathom out which bit went where because basically we are a pair of dimwits (oooh I hope she doesn’t read this), and for us it was a bit like a cross between the Krypton Factor and putting up a deck chair. But once we (she) sussed it it was fine :)

You are probably all yawing away now cos you’ve seen them and you probably all have one but I am always the last to catch on so just humour me a bit!!!!

And on that note, I’ll say tarra cos I have a shed load of stuff to do today so I better get a shift on. Have the fabbiest of days peeps and see you tomorrow cos it’s Friday and that means that it’s Tilda time.

Huggiest of hugs xxxx

Hippy Check lolxxx

Picture 003 copy

Hi peeps and hope everyone is OK xxx

It’s time for another Papertake Weekly challenge and this week it’s called

Check this Out

We want to see something gingham or check-ey included in your work somewhere.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

And here’s the card.

We’re being sponsored by Stitchy from Digital Ink Co and I used one of her fabulous images  – she’s called Hippie and you can see here here.  I think she’s perfect for a teen card or anyone who is tarred with the funky brush!!!

She was, of course, coloured with my beloved PMs and I went round the image with Glamour Dust to give her a bit of stardust and rock chick glitz!!!

The papers are both Nitwits and my fave ribbon is back – love it .

I also love the lilac and zingy green colours together :)

   OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

LOADS of dimension on this card. And a few buttons with a bit of coloured twine and that’s the old card.

If you get a sec, don’t forget to check out the rest of the cardage over at Papertake Weekly peeps cos as always, the girlies have produced some fab stuff to share.

I’ll be back very soon with some news to share – ooh I am so excited!!

But before then I have a mountain of stuff to get through then I need to waddle down to Sainsbury’s to get the stuff to make some pancakes. We are divided in our house because Emma is a maple syrup girl, and Richard and I are both traditionalists and we like lemon and sugar. Not sure about Kyla – I can’t remember what she had last year!!!

Talking of lemons etc,  have you checked out the new freebie from the wonderful Liz at Pink Petticoat yet? It's a mini-kit with a couple of pretty papers and some digi die-cuts & sentiments, and it's based on the 'when life hands you lemons' sentiment. You can see it here and I think it’s gorgeous – such fresh and clean colours.

Well on that note, I better be off and get a shift on or the mountain will still be here this time next week – which wouldn't be good.  Have a great day lovely peeps and see you very soon.

Hugs to all xxxx

Sunday 14 February 2010

Bloomin’ Different!!!

Picture 008 copy

Happy Valentine's day lovely peeps xxx

We’re looking a bit different here!!!

I made a few changes and I think I like it better than it was before. I have my pal Bev to thank for helping me to sort it – you are a star chicksie xxxx

So as it’s Sunday, that means that it’s time for another Anyone For Anya challenge and this week we’ve got all flowery :)

Our challenge is Flower Power and we want to see something floral either on the image the paper or you can use floral embellies.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

And here’s what I did.

I used Dahlia cos she is still one of my TGF faves, cutie lil sausage that she is. She was coloured with the old PMs and there’ a tiddly bit of Glamour Dust there as well.

You can get Dahlia and PMs from Tracey at Dies To Die For as well as oodles of other loveliness.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The papers are all from the absolutely gorgeous new Wild Rose Studio paper stack packs – you can see them here – and I used Candy Floss and Polka Dots.

The quality of these papers is fantastic and I was sooooo impressed when I got them. You can get these papers from various outlets and to find a stockist near you, check it out here peeps xxx

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

All the blooms are from the very wonderful Wild Orchid Crafts.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

And that’s me done.

Well I hope that you got loads of goodies for Valentine’s day. Our postie yet again has done himself a damage delivering all the cardage here (not!!!). I can’t moan at Tricky Dicky though cos I didn't do him a card (hangs had in shame and mortification!!)

We are going out for a nice romantic dinner this evening to a nice little place overlooking the marshes on the Wirral peninsula and he did get me a box of chocs, bless him xxxx

So on that sweet note, I better go. Kyla is due back shortly and we are baking some cakes so I better go and get it all organised. Have a fab Sunday and see you soon if not sooner. Hugs xxxx

Just The Sweetest .....

... Tilda ever, I think.
I just fell in love with this the minute I saw it.
And I was sooo glad that our theme over at Just Magnolia this week is

LOVE

cos it was just perfect to use.

And this is what I did.

As always the fab JM girls have produced the most awesome work - all gorge, so nip over and check it all out if you get a sec peeps.

I coloured Miss T in with the old bad boys BUT I used some new bad boys as well cos I decided to get some of the new pink shades that are now available.

Ivory and pink - just gorgeous!!

There is a fine array of PM pen-age over at Dies To Die For, and you get get your mitts on some fab Magnolias as well :)

The papers are all Pink Petticoat .
I used Ribbon Stripes and Pretty Little Hearts :)

I've gone all flowery again and after seeing all the lovely blooms that the JM girls use, I decided to get me some as well. These are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. They are so reasonable and very VERY fab. I have to say that I think this is one of my fave cards that I've made so far. I really REALLY like it.

Shame my picture quality isn't good.
Dodgy angle pic looks like it's been too near the Capstan Full Strength on one side. I don't know how I did it but it looks a bit singed!!!!

So I decided today that I must get me a new camera.

The one I'm using now is about 8 years old and it cost us a fortune when we got it. It's an Olympus and it's 5.0 mexapixels which was shed loads back then but it's nowt nowadays (my phone has more lol!!) So I'm going to have a mooch and see what I can find. So you never know peeps, one day soon, you might come here and see some decent qualty pics lol xxx. Mind you, it doesn't solve the crap editing prob does it :(

Oh well, just a thought!!

I'm going to attempt another scheduling here with me post because we are going to be without electricity tomorrow while they sort out some trees that are growing near one of the overhead lines nearby. So you might end up reading this next Tuesday, but hopefully it will work this time.

So on that note, I'm off.
See you soon if not sooner and hugs to all xxxx

Double Whammy ... And A Sketch 4U xxx

Yes, there's double trouble here today lol !!!
But first, please excuse the awful editing on this pic peeps cos I nipped away a little too much round the edge of the tap so there's a bit missing - dope!!!!

You can see the image better on the main card pic hopefully!!

But I'm digressing!!!
The reason was that I've just gotten me trotters on a couple of the awesome new Pepper & Friends stamps and I couldn't for the life of me choose which one to use!!

So I did 2 cards for this week's Papertake Weekly, where it's time for a little sketchie ....

... this one!!
Plus we are sponsored by the fabulous Kraftin Kimmie as well.

Not only that, there is the usual array of wonderful cardage created by the ever so talented Papertake girlies AND we have a guest design team call out as well, so nip over and have a mooch if you get a sec :)

So this is the first card I did.
I used me good old PMs and a fair bit of Glamour Dust (just for a change!!)

I got meself some new PMs yesterday in some of the
new colours - yum yum lol!!!
There's new pinks to die for, and speaking of which, you can get yourselves some of bad boys from Tracy at Dies To Die For

PLUS Tracy has a fabbytastic range of Pepper stuff available.
There's papers, brads ribbons and you can check it al out here :)

This first image is called Bath Time.
Now is that cute or is that CUTE!!!

The papers are a mixture of some pink gingham I found (not sure where this came from soz!!) and some Pink Petticoat Stripes.

There's a MSBP there as well, creature of habit that I am.

And here's the funky angle pic.

Now for card 2 ....

I used Honey To the Bee for this card and again I think it's a gorgeous image.

I thought I'd do an easel card - just something different.
The papers are both Nitwits and the ribbon was lurking in the stash box.

Not sure where the little bee sticker came from but I thought it looked nice on here. You could easily make these yourself I guess with a bit of card and vellum

So that's my 2 little fellas for you - hope you likee!!

Now if you'd like these very stamps plus some other nice goodies, check back here tomorrow peeps cos there could be a bit of a

piggy giveaway

about to happen.
Well to be truthful, it was supposed to happen today but
I just cannot get the pic right.

But there will be some nice stuff which is looking for a good home.
So until then have a great day and see ya back here manana lovely peeps!!!

Hugs to all xxx
