A Luvverly Hoppity Hop

Good morning everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Time for another Lili of The Valley design team blog hop and if you’ve arrived here from our Becky’s blog then you are on track.
If not, just start at the beginning of the list below.

Today we’re giving you some inspiration for using the latest stamp releases which will be available to buy on the website on Saturday 31st January.

There are 4 brand new images and 2 clear sets.

So you know how it works peeps - you just need to ‘hop’ from one blog to another following the links and leave a comment on each card.
As well as being in with a shot of winning the fab prize or prizes on offer, you're bound to get oodles of inspiration while you are on your travels.

Now talking of prizes, as always there's some hidden along the way.
We don’t know where they are so do be sure to visit and comment on every blog - you have to be in it to win it me darlins :).
But what we DO know is that there’s a full set of the new release to win

We will let you know on Monday which were the ‘lucky’ blogs and the winners will be drawn at random from all the comments that were left on those blogs.

Here’s the hop list for you -

Andrea
Anne

Becky

Dawny
(that'll be me then!!)
Fleur
Gretha

Jen
 Kathy
Lou
Mary J

Mindy

So what did I do then?

This bad boy here.

The papers are One Birdie Lane and Butterfly Kisses and the sentiment is from the Sentiments to Fit Scroll set.

The sweet image is called

In Love

and I reckon you could use this for Valentines, thinking of you, best wishes, happy birthday and all sorts so it’s not just for lovey dovey stuff.

I coloured it with the following Copics and while I’m think of it, dope here forgot to put the colours I used on my post yesterday so just to say that they are pretty much the same (sorry peeps) -

Skin – E0000, E00, E01, E13, R05
Hair – E31, E35, E35, E39, E50
The rest – E31, E35, E39, E50, E81, RV0000, RV00, RV10, RV34, RV69, YG0000, YG00, YG03, YG97, YG99

I used a mixture of flowers here.
It just occurred to me that I haven't used non punched or die cut flowers on my cards for aaaaaages!!!!

I chopped off some green wired stems from the flowers and
wrapped them together then glued them behind the sentiment to look like it was a bunch of flowers (well that was the idea lol).

A triple bow made with 15mm Shocking Pink No 72 Small Check Gingham ribbon.
Then I topped it off with a little
wooden heart button.
Both are from from The Ribbon Girl.

So back to the hop and time to nip over and see what my gorgeous and very talented friend Fleur  has done.

Enjoy the rest of the hop and indeed the rest of your day and good luck to everybody who enters xxx

A Little Frou Frou, Just For You : )

Morning peeps and I hope that you are having a nice week so far.

It’s time to head on over to the Papertake Weekly challenge and this week we have one of our

Take Your Pick

themes.

You can either do a sketch, a technique based challenge,  a colour based challenge or a product based challenge.
Or if you are feeling brave you can combine.!!

I wasn’t so I did this ….

… sketch here, sketch #97.

And for once I stuck to it and here’s …

… what I did.

It’s a sneakie peepkie and the image is called Frou Frou.
She is one of the new release from
Lili of The Valley which will be out on 31st, so not too much longer to wait.

The papers are from One Birdie Lane – such lovely Spring colours.
Nice and cheery I think.

The sentiment is from the Sentiments to Fit Scroll set which I truly love – you probably noticed!!

Some nice stuff from The Ribbon Girl in the shape of 16mm Meadow Green/White Berisford No 130 Pencil Stripe Ribbon, a beautimous Diamante Heart Stick Pin and some Pink Dewdrops.

I added a few dots of white liquid pearls as well – you can just about see them here.

So there we are, all done for today. I will be back tomorrow with another sneak peek : )

Before I go I just wanted to say that I hope my friends in the US aren't suffering with the awful weather they’re having too much. It looked pretty horrendous on the news last night so stay safe everybody.

And finally, today I am remembering events of 70 years ago and everybody who was affected by it.

Sending love and best wishes to all xxx

A Cute Sneakie Peekie Teddy : )

Good morning peeps  - brrrrrrr it’s brass monkey weather here today.
Hope it’s a bit warmer where you are!!

It’s time for another visit to
Papertake Weekly and our theme today is

Get In Shape.

No we don't want you to all rush off to the gym!!
We just want you to use 3 or more different shapes on your card or project and your base card counts as one.

So….

.. this is what I did and I went for a square (base card), a rectangle (the papers and image) and hearts – easy peasy.

The sweet little teddy is one of the brand new release from
Lili of The Valley which is due out 31st January.
These are on a clear sheet – something a bit different – and are amazing value as there’s lots on that sheet…..

2015bears

…. as you can see.

I coloured this little sweetie with Copics ion the following colours -

E31, E33, E35, E39, E50, RV0000, RV00, RV10, RV34, Y11, Y21, Y28

It is so simple to colour, it really is and by changing the colour of the balloon, you could use this for male and female.
It’s suitable for so many different occasions as well : )

The papers are all Lili of The Valley and are from Country Gent, Always & Forever Solids and Pastel Dreams paper pads.

I covered one of Mary Ribbon Girl’s wooden hearts with paper then inked and sanded back the edges which was a complete waste of time because I then went and covered them with Stickles !!

The bow is made from brown grosgrain ribbon and I topped it with a wooden heart button and string.

The sentiment is from the Sentiments to Fit Scroll set.
Dope that I am forgot to use one from the sheet.
Doh!!!.

So that’s me done for today.
If you get a sec, do nip over and check out the PTW cardage – much loveliness to be seen there – and also keep your eye on the LOTV DT blogs as we will be doing more sneakie peekie over these next weeks.

Have a fabulous day and stay warm and toastie and huggiest of hugs to all xx

New Stash : )

Morning sweet peeps and hope you are OK today : )

It’s time for another catch up with the Papertake Weekly girlies and this week our theme is

It’s All New

so all we want you to do this week is to either create something for a new event ie a new house, a new job, a new baby, a new year etc
OR use something new from your stash you you haven't used before.
OR maybe Santa brought you something new?
OR maybe you could use a technique that you haven't tried before.

And ….

… this is what I did (please excuse this rubbish pic me darlins!!)!!!

I bought a Sissix Step Up Die ands this is it’s first outing.
There are 21 different dies in the set and I'm sure I will use this again.

The papers I used are all Lili of The Valley and they are Pastel Dreams and Up Up & Away.
Love these papers soooo much (clean and fresh).

There are lots of flowers and leaves in the set so I had a bit of a play – like you do : )

I made a rosette flower by cutting 2 strips 8” x 1” and gluing them together then punching one edge and accordion folding.

I went a bit made with the old liquid pearls as well …..

… and took this pic before they were properly dried.
Doh!!!
Hence there are one or two smudges.
Oh well, a blind man on a galloping horse probably wouldn't notice!!

But he would notice the gorgeous bow made from Royal Peacock Seam Binding, topped with a Pale Pink Spotty Button, both from The Ribbon Girl.

So that’s the old card done.

We had a very busy weekend as it was Kyla’s 9th birthday.
I say it every year but I cannot believe where the time has gone or that we have had her for 9 years. She was a gift to us and she has been nothing but a constant source of joy - a loving and lovely kid, even though I know I am very biased!!! Anyway, we went out on Saturday evening for tea and then she had her party with her friends on Sunday. She wanted a laser quest party and it was good fun, although I have to say that the people who seemed to be enjoying it most were my Emma and Richard!!!

And I am back on the good old bad old diet and have had a 3lb weight loss this week despite eating out on Saturday.
I’d put on half a stone over Chrimbly and I could feel it so there was nothing for it, the lardage had to go.

And I am trying out a brand new craft – one very close to my heart. I’ll post pics and share a bit more when I am a bit better but I'm keeping all the pics and hopefully you can see an improvement.

Right on that note I better go.
Have the best day and hugs to all xxx

Happy New Year : )

Good morning sweet peeps and a very

Happy New Year xx

It’s the first challenge of 2015 over at Papertake Weekly and we have our usual Anything Goes theme this week,
with the option to make a thank you card or gift.

So that’s just what I did : )

I kept it fairly simple because if you have a lot of them to do (hopefully lol), you want something that isn't going to take you hours and hours.

So I used Set 44 - Statements - Just to Say from Lili of The Valley and teamed it with some of the beautimous Pastel Dreams papers.

I made the flower using the Spellbinders Pretty Petals A die set and the centre stamen is from Spellbinders D-Lites Blooms 3.

I topped it off with a little sparkly gem.

I rubbed a Tsukineko glue pad ..

Tsukineko The Essential Glue Pad & Inker Set

… over the centre strip of paper and covered it with some Glamour Dust.
It look so pretty I think.

Some gorgeous Aqua Dewdrops from The Ribbon Girl.
I LOVE the colour of these.

It matches the walls of my craft room lol.

So that’s my card for today and before I go, I just have to share this with you.

Have you seen the £10 for 10 days offer?

You’ve only got a few days left so nip over and check it all out.

On that bargainous note, I’ll be off.
Have a fabulous day and hugs to all xx
