That's Charming !!!

EDITED - I messed up the scheduling thing again - doh!!! - and this should have gone out on Sunday 10th. I would normally re-do but it's my first day back at work today and I've run out of time, soz chicksters. So can you all pretend that you are reading this yesterday please pretty please :) I know I am a dope!!!

Hi peeps and I hope that everyone is managing to stay warm (did I say that last time lol !!!)

This is a very quick post today as it is a certain little lady's 4th birthday and we have quite a bit on!! It's Sunday so that means it's time for another challenge over at Anyone for Anya and this week, our challenge is 'That's Charming'.

As always, I coloured Miss Anya with PMs and added a sprinkling of Glamour Dust to her petticoat :)

And as always, I had probs editing the pics!!!
So a million squillion shades of red here :(
I came across this heart shaped cutter, so I thought I'd use it as the image I used is one from the new the Miss Anya Love set.

You can get these as well as your PMs from the wonderful Tracey at Dies To Die For.

This is the card, which I have to say I am not at all happy with.

The papers are a real mish mash and to be honest, once again I haven't got a clue where they came from cos they were literally in a box that I was about to chuck out. I found quite a few sheets of red based papers and decided to use a couple of them here.

The black and white checked paper is, I'm pretty sure, a Nancy Kubo paper which I got from Prima - can't find the link for that, sorry!!!

The heart shape in the corner was made using an old Sissix paddle punch and I just blinged it up a bit.

That gorgeous heart charm was from Dies To Die For and I covered a big red brad with a scrap of the black and white paper. For the life of me I cannot image what I was thinking about cos it looks awful, but you know me, warts and all on here lol xxx

And I just had to use a bit of me very fave ribbon on there!!

So that is me done.
We are off to Kyla's party and I have the Headex ready for when we get back (well there are 16 kids going). Have a fab day - yours will no doubt be a lot quieter than mine lol xx and I'll see you very soon.

Hugs to all xxx

Love Birds For Papertake Weekly xxx

I love these.

These are the Love Birds from the very wonderful Sally-Ann at DigiStamp Boutique. There are 4 in the collection and they are all gorgeous. You can see them here.

Sally-Ann is our sponsor this week over at Papertake Weekly (thank you chick xx) so don't forget to pop over and check it out cos there is a nice something up for grabs :)xx

So this is my card.

I seem to have gone with the black and white theme again - but with a bit of red thrown in for good measure. It's funny, but I often make 2 or 3 cards along the same lines. Possibly cos the papers etc have not been put straight away so they are staring me in the face lolxxx

But I like the clean look of this little darlin :)x.

I added just a teeny bit of colour - red and grey PMs. Not too much though, cos I didn't want to overpower the image. Of course, there is a sprinkling of Glamour Dust, natch lol xx!!

The paper is Nancy Kubo So Sweet - it's a beggar to get hold of but I think you can get it here.

My wonderful friend sent me the ribbon from the US and the red button was from my stash. I coloured a bit of thin string with a black PM and tied it onto the button. I also got it all over my hands and a bit of the ink is still there on the button - ooops!!!

The sentiment is also from the collection - I cropped it off the image so that it went over the top of it.

Once again I used loads of dimension here.

I used the same LO as I did on my summer Tilda card, but I cannot for the life of me remember where I saw it, and stupidly didnt write it down. So I cannot give credit - sorry. But I nicked it from somewhere cos it isn't one of mine!! Nice though I think.

Well the sun has come out again - hurray!!! Not that I am one for sunbathing, but I do like to sit in the garden and enjoy the peace and quiet (until Kyla gets home of course then bedlam returns lolxxx)

But the weather is fabulous for Wimbledon. No Rafa this year sadly. Maybe he heard we weren't going this time (cry, sob, sniff). It won't be the same without him - he is rather gorge isn't he, even if he does have one of the hungriest bums on the planet (it must be cos it always seems to be eating his shorts lol xx).

So me and Tricky Dicky are staying at home and stocking up, and no doubt (pink) pigging out, on Pimms and strawberries and cream. In some way it's nicer at home cos you can watch the match you want to watch. But there is something about the atmosphere at SW19 that is just fantastic.

I'll miss going for sure.

So don't forget to check out the challenge lovelies - there are some fab DT cards, as well as 2 fab guest designers. It's all happening over there.

Have the fabbiest of days xxx

Oink Oink lol xxx

Just when you thought it had all gone quiet ........ el piggy returns lol xxx

Lots to tell and more of that in a sec, but first, it's time for another Papertake Weekly. This week our challenge is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

That's 1 circle, 2 ribbons and 3 stamps or images.

Fabulous challenge I think.

So here's me card. And in reverse order ....

The 3 images are all from the new Magnolia Spring stuff and I cannot say how lovely this lot is. I coloured them with the old PMs and added a touch of sparkle.

My 2 gorgeous ribbons are both Poppicrafts finest.

And my 1 circle? It's the button which is a 'bottom of the stash box' goody.

The paper is a Nancy Kubo which I got from Prima

oooh it's a bit smudgy. I made a bit of a hash of the colouring cos I had a really sore trotter (tendon trouble). Never mind, will try harder next time!!!

Well it's been a week since I posted and it has been a bit on the mad side again here. Just when things get straight something else crops up and sends it off kilter.

But also I went to Harrogate at the weekend and had the most fab time. Now you are not going to believe this but I went to the craft show and didn't buy a thing ....yes it is true.

But best of all, I got to meet with some of my bestest blog buds and here we all are ...

Back row is Nicola (Marcea's Mummy), Pink Piggy looking like a right old dour faced boot, Marcea and Kath. Front row is Kirsten and Emma

I also got to meet the very lovely and awesomely talented Bev but didn't manage to get a pic sadly.

Ladies it was an absolute pleasure meeting up with you. Marcea I have to say is just the sweetest nicest person ever and it turns out that Nicola, (her mum, who lives in Spain), had spent a few days last week staying with her other daughter (Marceas' sister, natch) who lives in Chester!! Not only that, she lives about 10 minutes from our house!!! Small world or what.

And Kath!!

Well it was a dream come true for me to meet her cos we really are cyber twins. I never really imagined we would ever meet cos of the distance, but we did and it just made my weekend. We went out for din dins on Saturday night to this nice Italiano restaurant we found and had a great evening eating drinking and chatting - you can imagine!!! And she brought me some lovely goodies as well, and something nice for Kyla which I will show you when we have made it. Kath my dear friend, thank you for my goodies and also for a wonderful evening. I will remember it always and I just know that we will get to meet up again.

I've just got to say a huge thank you to Sassy and Helen for these awards. The thanks are over due girls, sorry (slappity slap), but I love them and it is so nice of you to give them to me {{{{{hugs}}}}

And finally .....

See this box of eyelets?

Well, how long do you reckon it would take you to pick them all up if you dropped it on the floor and they spilled out everywhere?

10, 15, or even 30 minutes?

Well I can tell you, it took me almost a ruddy hour!!!!
So a tip girls ..... never ever try to pick up one of these crappy locking boxes filled with teeny tiny things when you are wearing a wrist brace. So now you know why I am late posting this tonight.
What a waste of valuable crafting time!!!

I'm off for me hot choc now.
See ya very soon and hugs to all cos I've missed ya xxxxxxx

Rose Pink Sugar xxx

They're the 3 challenges for this card xxx

And they are ....
The Pink Elephant challenge which is pink, black & white - gorgeous colours

Spoonful of Sugar
, which is Doodle Doo lol xxx

And finally, Roses on Paper, which was to create a card using the masking technique.

So the stamp is a Tilda sitting on her tree swing, coloured with PMs and then Glamour Dusted to within an inch of it's life!!! The paper is Willow Design - I am so loving that pink spotty paper, it is so pretty, and the black and white gingham is Prima Hybrid. The ribbon is a tiddly bit from my stash.

And when it came to using my MSBP, I used not one, but two of the beggars - oooh la la!!! The sentiment is from God knows where, but as I am ready to slap myself senseless for being a total numptie (yet again lol xx), I can't be bothered getting up off my fat you know what and going to look (sorry peeps xxxx). On the plus side, it aint as fat as it was 4 weeks ago, but still .....

Here's the dodgy angle bit again. And another one just for good measure. Some might call it overkill, but I prefer good measure !!!

So, why am I ready to slap myself sensless?

Well, we need to recap the challenges.

Firstly, Pink Elephant wanted pink, black and white. Yes, got that. And SFOS wanted doodling, so got that as well. And Roses on Paper wanted us to use the masking technique. Yes I did that - took me ages as well.

So what's the problem you may ask. Or if you've already been over there then you'll probably know!!!.

Well Roses on Paper also wanted the card to be a Valentines card and they also wanted roses on it somewhere. It clearly says it. The roses bit it in red - you cannot fail to miss it. But I clearly did miss it. Cos it isn't really a Valentines card, and you can look from now until the cows come home but you won't find a rose on it anywhere. Unless it counts that one of the PMs I used is rose pink (it really is, I'm not making it up!!)

I just realised when I went over to get the link. Yes, Dozy Dawny has struck again. And I have to nerve to tell Gayle that Boots are doing special offers on eye tests cos she liked Cary Grant!!!! Well chick, I apolgise unreservedly cos my flippin eyesight is evidently shocking!!

Maybe I am turning into Donald Pleasance in The Great Escape - if you remember he did so much close up work doing his forgeries that he went blind. Well that's me with me cards. Ohh I just realised, we have the same initials lol xxxx He was shot and clearly I should be. I have so much in common with that man it is scary - I am actually frightening myself as I type this cos I don't wanna go bald!! Ohhh it is even worse, cos that's not all - I had a white Persian cat as well!!

I may be back tomorrow. That's if 007 doesn't get here first.

You may laugh but this may well be my future ....

Now don't faint folks - I don't blog for a couple of weeks then twice in 2 days lol xx

This is my card for the Tilda & Co challenge, beads of glory. The beads were a freebie from one of the zillion craft mags I subscribe to and they have been in a cupboard for ages. I thought I would use them on this card - what do ya think? The little dotty pink ribbon is from this months Raspberry Ribbons kit. I got the flourish stamp from Creative Pastimes but unfortunately I dont know who it is made by. Jan, if you are reading this, perhaps you could let me know please x The papers are all PP and there is a bit of Glamour Dust on there for good measure - like ya do!!

This one is another done for this weeks PTW challenge. I loved Katharina's sketch sooo much that I just had to do another one. It is going to be one of my favourite sketches I reckon. The papers are Pink Petticoat and Prima Hybrid. The beautiful blooms are from the wonderful Mich at Poppicrafts (also the black brad) and the lovely little sentiment is from Butterfly Kisses.

TFS xx

Here are my cards for PTW Challenge. There's good news and bad news here peeps lol xxx The bad news is that I missed last week's challenge but it was such a nice challenge that I just had to do it,so better late than never. The challenge was Lucious Lime & Lilac - what gorgeous colours. I got this stamp from Butterfly Kisses and it is just the cutest ever. Her name is Ellie and she is sooo sweet. Unfortunately they are having website problems at the mo but there is a number you can ring and Alison is a very nice lady who is really helpful. If you haven't bought any of their stuff, I would really recommend that you keep checking because not only are their stamps gorgeous and excellent quality (and value for money too), they do some of the nicest samples I have ever seen. The papers are PP and the ribbons are literally from the bottom of one of my ribbon bags. I watercoloured her and added some Glamour Dust and decoupaged her bum bow - how sweet xx

Now for the good news - I have actually managed to get this weeks PTW challenge done in time. And not just in time, but really early - wooooohoooo lol xx It's based on another fabulous sketch by Katharina so here it is. Stamp is Tilda with a Knitted Jumper and the papers are PP mini dots and the others are Prima Hybrid - Nancy Kubo from her So Sweet collection. The gorgeous ribbon is from this month's Raspberry Ribbons kit
TFX xx
PS - I have started adding labels now but mine are appearing at the top of each post. Does anyone know how to get them to the bottom of the post please - sorry but I am a complete technical dimwit - it's a miracle I managed to do this blog lolxx
