Just A Teeny Bit Bright Today …. And A Rather Yummy Giveaway :)

Picture 007c copy

Hi there lovely peeps and I hope that you are all okay today.

It's that time of the week when we nip over and check out what's happening with the  Papertake Weekly girlies and this week challenge is

A Stitch In Time

All you have to do is add stitching to your work and that will be fine. It can be real or fake - it's up to you.

We are sponsored today by our very own Mary and Andrea at The Ribbon Girl and there is a  ….

ten-pound-gift-voucher

… voucher up for grabs for one lucky winner :)

So ….

Picture 001c copy

.. this is what I did.

I haven't used a hAnglar & stAnglar image for quite awhile so I thought today that I would  - just for a change!! I cannot get onto the H&S website I'm so sorry peeps,  so I can't leave a link here as I don't know what this image is called.

But anyhoos, I coloured it with these Copics –

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R20

Hair – E25, E29, E33, E50

The rest – B0000, B000, B00, B12, Y0000, Y02, Y06, Y08, Y17, Y38

And as always, the gorge papers are all by Nitwits

The old card’s a bit bright but not quite in the same league as the last couple have been. But I do love bright, especially with lots of white space. I think it gives a really clean look which I happen to rather like (you may have noticed!!).

Picture 006c copy    Picture 005c copy    Picture 004c copy

I thought I'd put the pics in a row today just for a change and stuff I used here is -

Tilda Lace die from Simon Says Stamp

Royal Peacock Seam Binding from The Ribbon Girl (I added a small bow made from really narrow white satin ribbon and IRL it looks much nicer than it does on here  - sack the photographer!!!

Tiny self adhesive pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts

And you can see that I did the fake stitching thing rather than get my lazy butt into the next room and use the sewing machine!!!

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

So who fancies a little bit of yumminess dropping through their letterbox?

Well if you do, you are in the right place peeps cos it's that time of the month when I do a little giveaway which Mary and Andrea at The Ribbon Girl have kindly donated, and this month it’s …..

 072647-kit_icecream

…  a beautimous cream and white mini ribbon kit.

So if you fancy winning this, and who wouldn’t, all you have to do is leave me a comment. I’ll draw the winner next Tuesday and good luck to everyone who enters.

Mahoosive thanks to Mary &Andrea for sponsoring me today xxxx

I must just tell you that the little baby jumpers have started to arrive and a huge thank you to everybody once again for all their help. They look so sweet all together in a pile and I’ll take some pics when I get a sec to share here.

Right, well that's me done for today.

‘Scuse the shortie today peeps but  I have so much work to do I don't know where to start,  so it’s going to be a case of one thing at a time. That’s after my lunch of course!!!  After all, man (and piggy for that matter),  cannot work on empty stomach alone, and mine is growling like I don't know what!!  In fact, if you open your windows, you will probably hear it lol!!

I hope you all have a lovely day-to-day and I'll leave you with a sneaky peek of tomorrow's card …..

Picture 001c copy copy

…. and see you tomoz.

Till then, huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Pea & Mint ….. or Minty Pea!!!!

Picture 006c copy

Hi there loveliest of peeps and hope you are all OK today.

Well what  fab response to our blog hop and the winners will be announced soon so keep your eyes peeled in case I was one of the blogs with a prize!!

So it’s our usual Friday trip over to the Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge and today our challenge is

Green

I could not decide whether to go for mint green or pea green …….. so I used both!!!

And ……

Picture 001c copy

… this is what I did.

Just for a change (no really, that wasn’t a sarky ‘just for a change’ …….  just for a change lol!!) I used a hAnglar & stAnglar image seeing as I have neglected my H&S stamps, and I coloured this sweetie with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R20

Hair – E41, E42, E43, E50, E81

The rest – BG0000, BG000, BG00, BG10, G99, YG0000, YG01, YG03

and the papers are from the Nitwits FQB - Bonnets 'n Bowties Collection.

Picture 005c copy

Just for a change – yes there’s the sarky bit – I used a Magnolia Doily Flower die  and topped it off with a rolled flower and added a couple of leaves made with the Martha Stewart BRANCH Craft Punch M230367 . And the new toy is out again which looks like it will be the next ‘just for a change’ thing lol!! It is of course the Martha Stewart PATP Deco Fan Shells punch :)

All of those items are available from Simon Says Stamp.

Picture 004c copy

A little bit of  prettiness from The Ribbon Girl here.

The bow is made using 15mm Aqua No 78 Berisford Satin ribbon and I added an Aqua Small Striped Button. Just peeking put there is some Aqua Tiny Ric Rac  – you can see it on the main pic a little better :)

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

Talking about The Ribbon Girl, our lovely Mary is 21 again – well she was yesterday, today she is 21 and a little bit more!!!. So she is having a bit of a birthday giveaway.

So who fancies winning  ……

… this beautimous fun, felt, flower-festooned bag of yumminess.

If you do – and who wouldn't – then pop over here and you can read all about it.

Righty –oh I best be off cos I am seriously up to me bits in it again. I’ll see you soon as soon (maybe sooner than you think???) but till then, have a fab Friday and an even fabbier weekend.

Distressed Piggy :)

+Picture 006c copy

Hi there peeps and hope you are all OK.

It was a busy weekend to say the least – 2 weddings (no funerals though lol!!)  so we are a bit behind, so I am doing the catch up thing.

So here’s  my card for last Friday’s challenge over at the Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge where our theme was

Distressing

Well those who know me will find it quite amusing that I did this challenge cos I don’t do distressing – cos it distresses me no end, being a clean white space kind of piggy!!

But a challenge is a challenge so I did it and …..

Picture 001c copy

… here’s the old card.

The sharp eyes among you may well notice something different here, apart from the distressing – I'll tell you at the end if you haven't guessed!!

As you can see, I went a bit mad and sanded practically everything with an edge on it  lol. I used a cute lil hAnglar girl and coloured hr with so many Copics but sadly lost the list when I was tidying up before we went away to the wedding – doh.

All I know is that like a bag of coloured sherbet, there are lots of E numbers :)

And a bit like my good self, all the papers are  Nitwits :)

Picture 004c copy

I used some of the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral dies ((calm yourself Kath!!) ) as well as some Wild Orchid Crafts blooms and self adhesive rhinestones.

And yes the good old Magnolia leaf and swirl has been dragged out again – poor old chap!!!.

Well it never really gets put away to be honest lol!!!

The leaves are courtesy of Martha S as well – they are made with a MS Frond leaf punch. The leaf punch, swirl and Sir Tim’s dies are all from Simon Says Stamp.

Picture 005c copy

That beeeeyoootiful lace is from the one and only Ribbon Girl an it’s 22mm cream fan Cluny lace.

Gorgeous!!

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

OK have you guessed what's different, apart from distressing the hell out of everything on it practically?

Well I used a cream card blank which I never ever do - but it just looked better than the usual stark white.

Wasn't very exciting was it chicks – soz!!!

Right on that note I'm off  to fight with my migraine and I’ll see you tomoz for a bit of Papertakey stuff!!

Enjoy your evening and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Autumnal :)

Picture 012c copy

Hi peeps and hope you all had a fab weekend.

We’re here at last with my card for this week's Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge where

Fall Is In The Air

Don’t you just LOVE Autumn colours peeps :)

And our very own Jacque is hosting and had done us a lovely sketch to follow.

Picture 007c copy

So this is what I did.

The sweet hAnglar girl was coloured with shed loads of Copics but el dopee here cannot find the list. I know I haven't chucked it so I just need to get to Specsavers and find it lol!!

Picture 010c copy

The papers I used are Papermania Hamstead which I got from Hobbycraft ages ago.

But I love the rich colours and I made one or three rolled roses and topped em off with a little self adhesive pearl from Wild Orchid Crafts which I’d coloured with the Copics.

And quelle surpise – there’s the old Magnolia leaf and swirl die again BUT this time it’s the leaf and not the swirl!!!

Picture 011c copy

That beautiful lace is 22mm cream fan Cluny lace and the ribbon is 9mm olive green / white saddlestitch and of course, both the lace and ribbon are from The Ribbon Girl :)

Picture 008c copy

Picture 009c copy

So we are done today peeps and I’m just off to get me dinner and watch Corrie.

I’m not having much cos I am TRYING to lose a bit of lardage seeing as there are 2 weddings coming up and I do not want to look like a beached whale on the photies lol!!! I’ll see ya tomoz and enjoy your evening.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Going Round In Circles

Picture 006c copy

Hi chicksies and for once I’m not talking about me – although now you come to mention it …….

But anyhoos it’s Friday, the best day of the week, woohooooo :) The weekend is almost here and time to head on over to the Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge and check out what’s going on there. As its the first one of the month. it’s our special challenge so it’s an

Anything Goes

week with of course an optional extra. And this week our Jacqui is our hostess with the most-est (and she is indeed) and she has set the option as circles so you just need to add something round to your work –  simples!!!

We are sponsored by the marvellous peeps over the water …

609storeheader

…. and of course there is a yummy voucher for one lucky girlie to spend in the shop.

Picture 001c copy

So this is what I did – a round card to fit the optional extra plus some spotty DP as well lurking furtively  in the background plus a round button embellie on the bloom – more in secondo :)

I went for a little hAnglar girl this week and this one is from the Attitude kit which you can see here.

I used the Copics/ polywollydoodah combi and these are the colours -

E000, E00, E21, R11, R20 (skin), E41, E42, E50 (hair), C5, E000, E50, R85, RV0000, RV000. RV00 (the rest)

Once again I used a couple of Nitwits papers (there’s a sale on at the mo so check it out me luvvies xxx) and I even paper pieced her frock!! This was because I am running low on inks and I’m praying that the refills arrive today – note to me to not leave it until the last minute next time!!!

The card base was made using my new best friend, the Grand Calibur and some circle and scalloped circle dies (this machine embosses like nobodies business).

Picture 004c copy

Now I have to tell you that I did something here for the first time.

No, not made a mistake cos that’s never gonna happen is it  - well at least I’m honest lol!! No, I decided that instead of using paper, I’d make the bloom from felt (I am working on some stuff at the mo which sort of inspired me), and I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

I used some Autumn Sunset Wool Felt bits which are from The Ribbon Girl and the die set I used is Marianne Design Creatables - Flower and Leaves which you can get from Tracy at Dies To Die For.

Did you notice that just for a change I added a swirl from the Magnolia leaf and swirl set and got the old Tilda Lace Die out again?

Picture 005c copy

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

So that’s me card done and I’ll say toodle pip and go and do some work – boooo hisssss.

I’ll be back tomoz . Yes I’m posting over the weekend which isn't like me but I have some sneak peeks of the new LOTV Christmas  images which I just have to share.

Enjoy your day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Sunny & Bright

Picture 005c copy

Hi chicksies and a very happy Friday :)

The weekend is nearly here so time to nip over and see what’s happening over at the  Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge and this week it’s our special monthly challenge where

Anything Goes

and as always we have an added extra and this time it’s glitter.

We’re sponsored by the fabulous Simon Says Stamp

609storeheader

…  and there’s a $25 voucher up for grabs :)

Now get the old shades on girls cos we are about to enter the ‘ever so bright’ zone!!!

Picture 001c copy

Wowwza – this card could reduced yer retinas to a quivering wreck lol!!

But it’s nice and cheerful I guess.

I used a hAnglar & stAnglar image and gave it the Copics treatment with these pens -

E000, E00, E21, R11, R20 (skin), E31, E33, E40, E42, E50 (hair), E37, E40, E50, Y16, Y17, YR0000, YR38, YR68 (clothes etc).

And those delish papers are from Tracy at Dies To Die For and they are Memory Box 8 x 11s – I used Mango.

Picture 003c copy

Ohhh it’s back – yes the Magnolia leaf and swirl die is back on my desk again, as is the Tilda Lace Die. Well that never really gets put away.

I also used the wonky rectangles nesties which are also available from Tracy.

Here’s some deets ….

Picture 006c copy     Picture 007c

Picture 007c

You might just be able to see the line of glitter around the edges of the white rectangle if you peer closely.

The self adhesive pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the sentiment is Pink Petticoat printed onto Safmat.

How’s your eyeballs doing peeps????

Picture 002c copy

Picture 004c copy

Ok that’s it for today.

I’m off to the camping shop to get a few more bits and bobs then it’s time to collect her ladyship from holiday club. She has the life of Reilly that kid, she really does. She has been out and about every day this week  doing various fab things and tomorrow she is going horse riding again – it’s her second lesson and she did really well last week, bless her.  Then I’m planning on a crafty Sunday – lots of card etc to make – but it never pans out that way so we’ll have to see how it goes.

Whatever you are doing, have a good one and see you soon if not sooner.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Doc2

…. yooohoo it’s Lou :)

Yes Lou Mac come on down cos you have won chick so if you can ping me a quick email with your deets,  I’ll send it to Paul and Siri so that they can get your prize off to you.  And hugest of thanks to Wild Orchid Crafts for sponsoring me and to  everyone who took part xxx

So on with today and over at the Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge  our theme this week is

What’s Cookin’

and is hosted by the sweetness that is our Dena

We are sponsored today by All That Scraps

and there is a C.C. Designs stamp set up for grabs :)

Picture 001c11 copy

So I gave Tilda a day off and did the hAnglar thing today. I used this sweet set which I got from hAnglar & stAnglar  and coloured it with the following Copics -

E000, E00, R11, R21 (skin), E33, E42, E50 (hair), C00, C1, C3, C5, E000, E00, E33, E35, E37, E42, E50, E53, R85, RV0000, RV00, YG0000, YG01, YG03 –

Wharra lorra pens lol!!!

The paper is Echo Park Summer Days and is from Dies To Die For

Picture 007c copy

I didn’t mask the image, instead I stamped and coloured them then cut them out and layered them up as I wanted to add dimension – you can see it a bit better here.

Picture 005c copy

A nice bit of  cream seam binding  which is available from The Ribbon Girl,  and an old button from my stash which just happened to match the self adhesive pearls which you can get from Wild Orchid Crafts

Picture 002c copy      Picture 003c copy

Picture 004c copy

So that’s me done for the week.

Enjoy your weekend and I’ll see you next week and I’ll tell all about my weekend - I may even have some pics to share ;)
