Cutest Lil Poppet :)x

Picture 004 copy copy copy

  I LOVE this image.

It reminds me so much of Kyla with her mad hair and as soon as I saw it I just had to use it to make her a card for when she starts school soon (cry cry!!).

So I killed 2 birds etc and used it for my card over at Papertake Weekly and this week we have a sketch for you …

.. here you go :)

Picture 002 copy

And this is what I did with it.

I realised when I finished it that it is really my old style ie a bit plain and not much in the way of embellies. I seem to go back there every so often and I don't think it’s a bad thing necessarily. Back to your roots and all that!!!

So of course this image is one of the new Lili Of The Valley releases which will be out on 19th (along with the new Christmas Animals) so not long to go now. They are perfect for any little poppet who is starting school or even starting back to school.

I’ll do the rest of the shopping bit at the end today, just for a change :)

Quite right too !!!!!!

bow h

It has to be pink and pretty, of course - she is a chip off the old block for sure!!

Picture 005 copy

So that’s what I did and if you get a sec, nip over and check out the DT cads peeps cos they are all so gorgeous

We had a sort of quiet weekend inasmuch as we didn't have her ladyship in residence on Friday as we usually do,  so we went mad and went out for dinner – just the two of us and very nice it was too!!  Saturday was spent doing bits and bobs around the house and a bit of shopping :(

Then Emma and Kyla dropped in on their way home from their camping trip on Sunday morning and brought us these …..

bearThis is a little bear she made for me

candle and this is a candle she made for her Granddad.

Oh bless her.

It’s what it’s all about isn't it.

They went to a craft place near where they were camping for a mooch and there were classes on for the kids so Kyla and her friends had a go. I just had to share with you cos I think they are so sweet (I do realise of course  that it is very much in the eye of the beholder lol) and they will of course have pride of place until the next little trinket comes along.

Well I am off to sunny Birkenhead now but have a great day and hope everyone is OK. Before I go, here’s the shopping list  as promised-

Image – Back To School, Lili Of The Valley coloured with Copics which are available from Dies To Die For in these colours -

E00, E21, E33, E42, E50, R20, RV0000, RV10, W00, W1, W3, W5

Papers - Pink Petticoat (Gingham and Stripes)

Border punch – Tilda Lace from Crafts U Love – you can see it here peeps

Embellies -  self adhesive pearls & pins from  Wild Orchid Crafts

Sentiment and ribbon from stash (I THINK the sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub on but wouldn't swear to it, sorry!)

See ya soon and hugs to all xxx

A Peach Of A Card :)

image

Morning peeps and hope you are all OK xxx

It’s Friday and the end of a very busy week for me.

We are a Kyla free zone this weekend :(  as she is going girlie camping with Emma and her work friends and their dinkies, so we are planning to have a bit of a chill out sort of weekend. Well, that’s the plan but it never ever works out that way.

Anyway, before we get there, it’s time for another challenge over at  with the  Just Magnolia girlies and this week

it’s time for a sketch ….

…. and it’s this one here.

It’s one of mine and I must admit that it’s one of my faves :)

If you get a sec, check out the DT cards peeps cos they are just fab and it’s so nice to see our Michelle O back with us xxx

Picture 008 copy

I flipped the sketch !!

I noticed, looking at my last batch of cards,  that I’ve been using a lot of  blues and turquoises lately so for a change, I went all peachy for this one and the Copics I used were -

E0000, E00, E21, E42, E50, E53, R11, R20, YG0000, YG03, YR00, YR02, YR16, YR61 YR95

blooms

The blooms are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and so are the pearl sprays and tiny self adhesive pearls

I’ll let you into a little secret here …. the tiny orange roses started out as white ones, but I dabbed me Copics over them and voila – flowers to match Tilda’s frock!!!!

I did the punch around the page thing with the eyelet lace punch  (which is available from Tracy at Dies To Die For)  then smeared a bit of glue over the edges and gave it a coating of Glamour Dust :)

*NEW* So Sophie - Family Ties - Consistent Ledger

The papers I  used are both My Mind’s Eye, So Sophie - Family Ties - Consistent Ledger

*NEW* So Sophie - Pretty Girl - Persistent Bloom

and So Sophie - Pretty Girl - Persistent Bloom and both of these are from Dies To Die For

ribbon

Check out this gorge and delish ribbon peeps -  it was what inspired me to use these colours. It’s  peach organza ribbon and it’s from Wild Orchid Crafts. I think it’s so soft and pretty, I really do.

Picture 011 copy

So that’s the last card of this week lovelies but if I get chance to have a dabble, I might be back  over the weekend with another one to share.

I think at last that I am slooooooooowly getting on top of the back log that was left over from my pc crash and there is a now a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel. There’s still a pile on my desk, but it is more of a hill now than the mountain it was!!!

So on that note I am offksi.

It’s Friday 13th today and I am a bit superstitious, I have to  admit, so I am keeping a bit of a low profile. I know it’s daft but I am a bit gullible at the best of times, and I have had lots of bad luck recently so I am taking no chances. If anybody is interested in all this malarky, check out this Wikipedia article. Even if you don't believe in it, it’s quite interesting.

Or maybe I should just get out more (but just not today eh lol ;o )

See you soon if not sooner and Friday hugs to all xxx

4 Seasons …. But Not Of The Vivaldi Sort!!

Picture 008 copy

Hi peeps and hope everyone is well xxx

I cannot believe how quickly this week has flown!!  Maybe it’s a sign that I am crocking on a bit but even so, the last few days have whizzed by!!

So we are almost at the weekend, and as it’s Thursday,  it’s time to join the fairies over at  the  Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge and we have a lovely challenge for you and it is

Four Seasons

so we would like to see cards that reflect, Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter

If you get a sec, do nip over and check it out because there are lots of cards made with the new Lili Of The Valley Animals Christmas Release . This release has the most gorgeous cute little  bears, bunnies  and penguins and even little cats too and will be released on 19th July along with 2 more super cuties called Back to School.

Picture 005 copy

I did winter and I used Christmas Surprise – isn’t it just sooooooo sweet peeps!!

I coloured it with Copics in these colours -

BV13, BG000, BG10, BG15, C1, C3, C5, E00, R37, R42 & E50  ….

…. then I got the Glamour Dust out again and the cat ran away – wonder why????? I think her street cred took a bit of a beating yesterday, poor thing. But at least she’s a ‘she’ and not a tom because that would be even worse.

That reminds me of a workshop I did once where we used the gold Glamour Dust which is nice but it gets everywhere. One of the peeps on the class was a man and he had a beard. He was covered in it and when he went home his beard was glittering and twinkling like crazy. I could not take my eyes of it but I didn’t have the courage to say anything to him.

I bet he got some funny looks on his way home.

bow

Anyhoos, I digress.

Now do you remember me saying earlier in the week that I could not get my snowflake die / Cuttlebug  to cut acetate? Well the loveliness that is Debby told me to try putting the acetate between 2 sheets of thin paper before cutting and guess what?

It worked – woohoo, so hugest of thanks to you Debby, you clever chickster xxxx

So once I got that sorted, I covered it with Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels (Iced Crystals). The gorgeous grey organza ribbon is from Wild Orchid Crafts – the quality of this ribbon is awesome. Best I’ve ever used by a mile.

The border punch is one half of the  Martha Stewart  PATP Eyelet Lace set. And Tracy now has these babies back in stock  over at Dies To Die For :)

The pretty star paper is of course Pink Petticoat and is from the totally awesome Vintage Rose collection. Can you tell it’s one of me faves at the mo lol !!!

The sentiment is from Lili Of The Valley and the self adhesive pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts

Picture 009 copy

So that’s me done for today and I’m off for a bit of brekkie, of the Alpen type (fab ….. not!!). Have a great day lovelies and see you tomoz with a bit of Tilda-tastic cardage.

Hugs to all xxx

Cute Girlie Gets The Summertime Blues :)

 image

Hi peeps and hope that everyone is well xxx

I actually managed to do a couple of challenges today – not because I had loads of time cos that is still in short supply, grrrr,  but because I needed to do a card for someone quickly who has had a bit of a disappointment recently and I wanted to cheer her up,and it just happened to fit these challenges. Thus hoping to prove that there IS a cure for the Summertime Blues – well sort of!!!

The challenges are

Creative Card Crew – Cute & Girlie and Simon Says Challenge – Summertime Blues

Picture 001 copy

This is the first time I’ve used a stamp from the new Magnolia Summer kit cos if I am being honest, I aint too impressed this time. But the mermaid is quite sweet I guess. I coloured her in Copics (no colours peeps cos the dimwit chucked the list away again!!)

You probably can’t see it here but I painted her scales with pearly paint so that they shimmer.

IRL it looks quite effective.

det

The gorgeous bling is from Tracy at Dies To Die For. They are the  new  E-Line Crystals and they are the BIZ!!!

deta

The self adhesive pearls are all from the very wonderful Wild Orchid Crafts and are available in loads of pretty colours.

paper copy

Ooops, fuzzy grainy pic alert!!!

I am just sooo loving these papers at the mo. They are of course the gorge Vintage Rose papers from the fabbydoodles Pink Petticoat

Picture 004 copy

So that’s me card done peeps.

Righty-oh I am off on a flyer yet again cos we are going out on our bikes, The lardage is creeping back on and it just isn't good enough really lol !!

I am 2lbs heavier than I was this time last week and I have a sneaky feeling that the mahoosive Sunday dinner and vanilla and blueberry cheesecake (drooooool)  might have had a hand in it. So drastic measures are called for so it’s all things Weightwatchers and exercise for this not so little piggy until it beggars off again.

But before I go and talking of sneaky things, fancy a sneaky peeky at my LOTV card for tomorrow's challenge? OK, here you are then and I’ll see ya in the morning.

sps

Have a fab night and hugs to all xxx

It’s a Verrrry Long Challenge Title ….

Picture 003 copy

… over at Papertake Weekly today, cos it’s

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed & Something Blue.

You could use some old stash, or maybe something that you just bought, or maybe use blue as your colour theme, or maybe you want to make a wedding card. You could use one, two three or even all of those things.

Being a smart Alex, I tried to use all 4 ( but not the wedding card bit!!)  and  think I got 3 and a half to be honest cos one of them didn't work out right.

That will teach me in future!!

The something old was the image, the new was the snowflake dies and the blue is fairly obv!!. The borrowed bit was where I came unstuck because I was going to ‘borrow’ Bev’s idea for acetate snowflakes but my Cuttlebug just would not cut them out, cry cry!.

So I had to use paper instead..

Picture 001 copy

I got the old Copics out and coloured Tilda and Eddie in these colours -

B0000, B12, B32, B93, C00, C1. C3, C5, E00, E21, E35, E42, E50, E57, R11, R20

Then I splashed the Glamour Dust about a lot.  You should see the cat, poor thing - she looks gayer than Mardi Gras!!!!!! (sorry, I hope that doesn’t offend anybody!!)

sf1

Do you like the snowflakes?

They are my new Marianne Design Creatables (style 1)  which I got from Tracy at Dies To Die For.

sf2

I inked the edges of the largest ones with a bit of shimmery chalk and layered then up and added a blingy bit.

The silver mesh ribbon is from my stash.

sf3

The punches are of course both MS Border punches, the doily lace and embossed zig zag bad boys which of course I got from Dies To Die For And the paper which is very gorge I think, is actually from Lili Of The Valley, they have some really pretty papers which work so well with their images  and you can check them out here lovely peeps.

The wavy sentiment was in a Papermania set which I have had for yonks, so that is an ‘old’ thing as well.

Picture 004 copy

And that’s me card.

If you get a sec, check out the challenge peeps cos we are sponsored by Katharina at Whiff Of Joy and there is a lovely stamp up for grabs :)xxx And we have a GDT call as well if anybody fancies joining us for 4 weeks.

I am on a another flyer today lovelies because the work mountain does not seem to be getting any smaller, I have a commission to finish, shopping to do (it’s like Mother Hubbard's cupboard here at the mo!!), the cat to de-glitter (I don’t want the neighbourhood cats talking about her lol xxx) and God knows what else as well.

If there is life after death and we come back here, I am coming back as a man for sure!!!

Have a great day peeps and see you soon and huggiest of hugs to all xxx
