Pom Pom & Pastels :)

Picture 006 copy

Hi there lovely peeps and hope that you are all OK :)

It’s that time of the week when we nip over and check out what’s happening at the Papertake Weekly challenge and as it’s the first of the month, we have our

Anything Goes

challenge with the option of highlighting part of your image.

We’re sponsored by the lovely Lisa & Laila over at

Lili Of The Valley

And they have given us a …

… to give to one lucky winner.

Hugest of thanks for a fabulous prize :)xxx

Plus we have a brand new GDT for you plus our fabulous DT and as always they have produced some stonkingly fab work to share with you so if you get a sec, nip over and have a mooch :)

So …

Picture 001 copy

.. this is what I did.

I am really pleased with the way this card turned out but I cannot (nor won’t) take the credit for the idea cos I hate that sort of thing.   I sort of cased it from Liz Marsden and hope she doesn’t mind :)xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Liz is our GD over at Simon Says Stamp and I love her work. Don’t you find that when you join a new team or somebody new joins you, you’re kind of influenced by their style? Maybe it’s just me but that does happen sometimes. I think that subconsciously some of what they do filters through to your  creative thing.

Anyway, stop rambling Pigster and get on with the post!!!

The image is Birthday Fairy from Lili of The Valley and she was coloured with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R20

Hair – E43. E50, E81

The rest – B0000, B000, B00, B02, B12, E43, E50, E81, C00, G0000, G000, G00

The papers are from Nitwits and they are from the FQB Petal Fresh collection – I LOVE this collection.

I used a Craftwork Cards Fanciful Card blank as the base  and covered it with paper.

The double bow is made from 15mm Aqua No 78 Berisford Satin ribbon and I added some 4mm pearl string and an Aqua Small Polka Dot Spotty Button, all from The Ribbon Girl :)

I quite like this little arrangement thingie :)

The butterfly is made from an old Woodware punch – I have had this punch for years. I think it may have been one of the very first punches I ever bought.

So that’s the old card done and I am on a flyer once again, soz – too much work to do and too little time to do it in :(

Have the fabbiest day and I’ll see you back here tomoz.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Hi Dawny
This is beautiful and I adore the way you have overlapped the layers.
There is nothing wrong with a bit of casing now and again. I do it too once in a while, it helps to get the Mojo flowing again sometimes. Also there is now greater flattery than that given by someone who copies you, so I am sure that Liz, the originator will be thrilled at the compliment.
Regards Linda
