Hello lovelies and hope you are all OK today.

I'm sharing a card I made a while back when I was having a play with some Tonic Studios Glacier Pastes. I made a batch of backgrounds and then turned them into something that resembled a card lol.

And this was one of them.

Now I know I bang on a bit sometimes about this doesn't take long, and this one is quick etc etc. and you must think I'm such a lazy so and so. I'm really not but I do love cards and projects which come together quickly but I still want them to look good as well. And sometimes we are just 'busy' I guess.

So anyway, this is a super quick and easy card to do and just by changing the background you could use this for anybody, male or female.

You wouldn't even have to put a glacier paste background behind, it - just some plain card would look just as good.

This is the set I used (it's linked below).

So I cut the 'love' bit straight into a piece of white card and the 'with' from a scrap of background I had left over. Then just stuck it all together and added a bit of Nuvo-dropage.

10 minutes max!!

I tried to capture the sheen from the background.
I don't think I'll be giving David Bailey any sleepless nights though hahaaa.

But it is pretty gorgeous :)

Link to my YouTube channel for how I made the background here  and for other ideas with the pastes, there's a showcase of finished cards here.

So there we are all done.

I hope you like it and I've linked below to stuff I used. These are affiliate links which mean that it won't cost you any more if you buy, but if you do, I will get a small commission (thank you xx).

Take care and please stay safe and well and I'll see you soon xx

Howdy folks and hope you are all OK today - brr it's cold here.

It's that time of the week when we have our Tonic Studios Wednes-Die Deals and this week there's some corkers, including the fabulous Simply Sentiments bundle which usually retails at £29.97 or $32.97 but you can get them today for £11.99 or £13.19 so a mahoosive saving.

You don't have to do much to these to create something lovely.
Even just cutting them out in black card and popping them into a frame would look nice.

I did a bit of paper piecing here and then added some gems but really I just let the colour  get on and do the work for me.

Here is another of the dies in a different colour combi - bet you can't guess what it is 😄

I bet you weren't expecting black and white and red with a gingham ribbon there.

Oh dear, I am quite predictable sometimes but I just cannot help myself lol.

Anyway, if this is something you think you'd like, please check out my affiliate links below. It won't cost you any extra if you decide to buy but I will receive a small commission (thank you xx)

Home Sweet Home

Hello lovelies and hope you are all OK.

So I thought I'd share something I made using the new Summer Fun release from Tonic Studios ....

... and this is it here.

It's a set that make staggered stages for your cards, like you can see in the packaging pic.  And even better, they fold completely flat for posting.

But there's so much more you can do with them.

I used the caravan die to make a home sweet home picture.

There are loads of elements in the sets and you can build up little scenes.

The caravan has its own window and awning - how sweet is that!! And it's not teeny tiny either!!

There's even a picket fence.
I was completely smitten doing these samples, I can tell you.

Now the sets are still on 30 day exclusive over at Create and Craft but they will be available after this from Tonic.

The actual frame itself was made using the Tailored Frame die set which is available to buy from Tonic. Super easy to do and you can make your frames to the size you want.

I've put the affiliate link below for the UK and Europe but I think it has sold out over the pond, aww.

But you might already have it and this will hopefully give you an idea on how you can use it.

See you soon and take care and please please stay safe xxx

A Beautiful (Pink) Day

Hello lovelies and hope you are having a lovely weekend.

I don't know about you but there's something about pink and kraft that is so pretty, and when I first saw the dies I used here, I sort of knew that this was going to be a colour combi I would use.

This is a big card - the base is 8x8 so it really makes a statement.

But to be fair, it's just layering up really, so not too much work at all.

These are the dies in the set and you can make frames and layers, as well as your invertage and pyramage cards. It's a nice set I think.

I started out with the largest die - the one with the triangle bits in it, and I cut out 2 and offset them. Then I jsut layered up. I threaded some ribbon through the next biggest piece  that I'd cut in kraft - that took longer than putting the rest of it together lol.

Now the eagle eyes will have spotted that I didn't exactly clean the waste from sentiment very well!! But you know me, I'll still share it if there's mistakes etc.
Why don't I spot these things until I see them on here!!!

That middle bit from the white layer in would make a nice card just on its own.

A bit of ribbon and we are all done.

Here's a couple more cards I made with this set -

Right, I'm of for my dinner.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll pop the affiliate links below.

Take care and stay safe and well xx

Gelli-tastic Mixed Media Card With A Bit Of Bloomage

Well you can't keep a good man (or woman) down can you, and as promised, here is another gelli  plate make. This one is quite different and more 'me - ish' in terms of colour.

I used a mixture of mousse, paint and sprays on the gelli plate and to see how I put it together, have a little mooch at my YouTube video.
It's quite a short vid but you'll get the gist of what I did.

Video link

It's very easy - I really don't do complicated mixed media.
That's because I really can't do complicated mixed media 😅

I love the Spider Mum flower and Japanese fern combi - you can use any though if you don't have these.

And I added some Nuvo Pollen onto the middle of the stamen things.

So I hope you like my little trip down gelli plate lane.

I'll list the products I used below along with affiliate links and I'll see you soon with another make.

Until then, please take care of yourselves and stay safe and well xxx

Gelli On A Plate

Hello lovelies.

Well we are now back in a sort of lockdown - what a palaver, but needs must I suppose. The main thing is that we all get through this thing as unscathed as we possibly can.

I think us crafters are quite fortunate that we have something to occupy us and which takes us away from the troubles of the world. I shut myself away in my shed and the world sort of passes me by.

Talking of the shed, when I was moving my stuff in from the house just before the first lockdown, I was finding all sorts that I'd forgotten I had, including ......

... a gelli plate.

This was something I decided that I needed a few years back. I absolutely HAD to have one, like tomorrow. So I bought one and it literally had never been opened.
How shameful!!

So I unpacked it and had a play and I really love it.
Our Thea also loves it - it's like magic to her when she peels the card back and sees what she's created.

To be fair, it's like magic to me as well.

As Forrest would say .......

... and you do never know what you're gonna get, it's true.

Anyway I've kept it out and I've made loads of backgrounds which are waiting to be turned into something meaningful :)

And this was one of the backgrounds I made.
It's made using some gold, mustard, pale green and a teeny bit of black acrylic paint. Then I splashed a bit of water and splattered a bit of white gesso over it.

Then I just used a layering set of dies to cut out the circles.

The sentiment is from the Tonic Studios Hello Beautiful Floral Frame die set and I used a bit of scrap  background to cut it out them embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I love how it looks against the black card.

I have to fess up - I  did a crap job of gluing it down.
But to be fair, this was before I got my new eyes!!!

The colours are so not me I know, but I like them anyway.

I also like the way the sequins kind of lift it

What I don't like is that the button looks like it's falling off here!!  It's one I found laying about so I cut the shank off and stuck it in here - like you do!!

Anyway I hope you like it - it is a bit different from me but it's nice to mix it up every now and then.

I'll list the stuff I used as always below. I checked on the the Tonic USA website and I can't find the sentiment die but it's no biggie - you can just use anything you have to hand.

I'll share another one very soon which uses a gelli plate background as well. And if you 've got one, why not get it out and have a play.

I'll see you soon and until then, take care and stay safe and well PLEASE xxx

Hello crafty friends and hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Wasn't the weather a treat!!!
Blimey, it was torrential on occasions here.

I'm sharing a card with you today that I made using the Tonic Studios Foliage and Florals Patterned Panels Die.

So all I did was cut this out in white card and then laid it over the top of a background I made using some Nuvo pastes and mousses.

I love this technique - you never know what you're going to get!!   But it's always pretty.

I cut the flower out and layered it up.

For some of the layers, I cut them out and then ran them through the machine with the panel die but I used the embossing plates rather than the cutting plates. I like the effect it gave.

This technique would work with any if your flower dies.
And if you don't have this one, you can use any you do have and it will still look nice.

I finished it off with a sentiment from the Layering Frame Collective Sentiment Stamp Set.

For more ideas on how you can use the panel dies, please check out my YouTube video here

I've added some affiliate links below to some of the products I used here in case you want a mooch.

Apols that some of the links won't change to black :(

Have a fabulous day and week and stay safe and well xx
