I’ve Sold Out :(

Picture 007c copy copy

Morning lovely peeps and this is one of those posts where I am hanging the head in shame as I type :(

More in a sec …..

Today over at the Lili Of The Valley Thursday challenge we have a lovely theme for you and it is  ….

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

AND we are sponsored by the lovely Mary and Andrea who make up The Ribbon Girl and our winner this week gets to choose one of these……

Ribbon Kitsmar

……    six delicious Ice Cream Coloured different ribbon kits :)

And just to let you know that over that the LOTV shop, there are so many yummy new things that are now available so you can check it all out right here peeps :)

So far so good.

But this is sort of where it all goes a bit downhill  cos I am so not happy with my card today.

Picture 001c copy

Mmm, not sure what it is but there is something that isn't grabbing me.

I really do like everything on it  - apart from one thing which I’ll get to in a sec - but maybe not all together.

Anyhoos the cute lil Pom Pom has been coloured with these  Copics  -

E00, E21 (skin), E40, E42, E50 (hair) , B0000, B000, B00, B12, C00, C1, C3, R17, R27, R49, R59, YG0000, YG03

and those lovely papers are  Memory Box Sicily – Cranberry, and is available from Dies To Die For and Nitwits blue spotty (sorry I cannot remember which collection but I’ll find out later and add it on here).

OK now for the shameful bit and I do realise that I am being a bit of a cardy snob here cos they do have a place

BUT (take a deep breath Dawny!!)

I used a peel off :( cry cry

Look what I did to that one of the gorgeous little LOTV tags (set 14 which is here)!!

Yes I feel like I have sold out and hugest apols to any peel off fans out there but they are just not me..

I really wanted to use that tag but could not find anything small enough to go on it and if I’d tried to write it in, it would have looked even worse.

Sorry peeps, I’ll try not to do it again :(

Now this I like :)

This ribbon is available from The Ribbon Girl and it is 15mm gingham in Sky Blue – FAB colour – and I used another yummity scrummity lil spotty button again.

A bit of  Tilda Lace Die and Marianne Design Creatables - Swirl – LR0118 and that’s me done.

So tomoz I will be back and I promise it will be a peel off free zone. In my defence (hahhaaa!!!) my eyes are still a bit sore but not as bad as they were,  but it’s got me really rattled that I an not able to do what I need to do with me pens. Plus the old mojo is nowhere to be seen unfortunately – how it chooses it’s moments – but hopefully it will return later!!

Enjoy your day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

I think if the sentiment fits use it whether it be a peel off a rub on or a stamp. I can't understand where this peel off snobbery originated, but it seems to have really stuck in the card world and it's such a shame cause it can make people who use them feel guilty.
A lovely card which is not spoilt at all by the use of the peel off.

Hi loving the red and blue spots and gigham. Cool combination. Love the spotty button . The tag looks great does not look like a peel off so I think it works. Thanks for making me laugh and giving me lots of inspiration. :D

Peel offs, Dawny! Peel offs! How very dare you! Actually, I didn't realise it was a peel off until you pointed it out and anyway, if it fits in the space, so what?! I think this is a fab card, love the colour combo and think that your mojo is alive and well and living somewhere in the north west of England! Tracey xx

Oh you are such a silly tart at times, LOL!! I use those little POs frequently for when I've not left space for a full blown sentiment, they have saved me from many a moment of insanity - so I give thanks for their invention! Have also been known to use the odd border too ...... but as for outline shapes, not a cat's chance in that rather hot place! Loving your card sweetie, the red and blue together is stunning. Send it me if you dislike it that much, I'll love it and hug it and take it home and call it George ..... help, they're coming for me again! Sxxxxxxxxxx

You won't be doing that again in a hurry though!!

Peel offs can be OK Dawny and I think they work here. Don't tell anyone but I bought some this weekend at Ally Pally.

Can't see the problem with peel offs at all of any kind if its the right tool for the job use it who cares about card snobs it should be what you like not what anyone else thinks.Fab card and love the cute wee tag too.Maybe Lilia could design some tiny sentiments to go with the tags for you.
