Hi peeps and a very Happy Sunday xxx
Well there is lots going on here today so I’ll have to do this in 2 (or should that be 3?) parts.
Firstly, the Simon Says Stamp Challenge crew are calling all the young budding designers out there to get crafty and join us for a very special only kids allowed challenge .
It’s a nice easy theme ….
ANYTHING GOES
And this is what is up for grabs ..
To be eligible for a chance to win a prize the child must be between 2 and 16 years old and adults are allowed to help a little bit only!!
This challenge will end on Saturday 30th April at 6pm CET ( 5 pm UK time ) , so plenty One lucky entrant will win a $50 Voucher to the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
So bursting with pride, I am so pleased to share with you my sweet Kyla’s very first designer card (awww!!)
Apols to all Tilda fans but she chose the image and then insisted she put a mouth on it and also some freckles!!!
No Copics were harmed during the making of this card btw and I have no clues as to what Pro Markers she actually used but by the looks of it, I’d say it was all of them.
Ahh bless!!
I did manage to stay out of it and not interfere although I was tempted . Emma was impressed cos she thinks I am a control freak when I am crafting with Kyla :(
If you want to see what all the other dinky designers did, go and check it out lovelies – their ages range from 3 to 12 and they all did a great job so well done to each and every one of them I say xxx
…………………………………..
OK now for the second part and I have some news to share. I have been part of the GDT for Mary & Andrea at The Ribbon Girl for these last 2 months and they have asked me to join them full time – wooohooooo (
I took ohh about .5 of a nano second to say YES PLEASE :)
I was chuffed as chuffed could, not only cos it is a fab team, but it means I am now working with my cyber twin Mrs Kath (I wonder if Mary & Andrea realise the trouble we cause when we are together!!!!!!.)
So today is ……
We are sponsored by the girls at Lili Of The Valley who have given a £10 voucher to spend in the LOTV online shop.
And of course there is a Ribbon Girl prize too.
So ….
… this is the first of the 2 cards I did – and my personal fave!!.
This cute CC Designs image was coloured with Copics and I KNOW my list is somewhere peeps but I am struggling to find it.
I was out doing a workshop yesterday and I have a feeling that somebody might have chucked it (they think it’s just a scrap of old paper with scribble on it – doh!!) but I’ll keep looking and update this if I come across it.
The satin ribbon and yacht charm are both from The Ribbon Girl and the paper is Pink Petticoat Stripes
The waves are made from what is left if you use Lord Timmy’s Scalloped Die with a bit of added glitter!!!
And the second card ……
… is this one.
Again this cute CC Designs image – Violet With A Key which you can get from T over at Dies To Die For – was coloured with Copics and the colours are on the lost list!!
The papers are Nitwits and I randomly stuck some tiny punched hearts onto an oval nestie and sat Violet onto the front of it.
The satin spot ribbon, polka dot button, red heart pin and strawberry charm are all from The Ribbon Girl and I used my Tilda Doily Flower die again :)
I so love these red poppies I really really REALLY do.
They of course are from the fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts, as are the other beautiful blooms – 10mm open roses, a 25mm wild rose and some tea rosebuds
The little self adhesive rhinestones are also WOC
So we are done for today and I am off to finish some work and then start organising stuff for our trip to London next week – Wizard Of Oz and general touristy things plus catching up with R’s cousin who lives there. Miss Kyla is so excited to be going and she is looking forward to going on a ‘bus with no roof and seeing the soldiers who wear funny hats and aren't allowed to look at you !!!
So enjoy your Sunday peeps and nip over and check out both challenges if you get a sec.
Take care and thanks for staying with me re this loooooooooooong post today.
Huggiest of hugs to all xxx
