Good morning sweet peeps and a very Happy Sunday to everyone.
Woohoo we have another day off tomorrow - what bliss :)
So today, it's time for another fabulous challenge over at The Ribbon Girl's Blog and out theme this month is quite simply to
Add A Button
... and that's it :)
As usual we have fabulous prizes for our randomly chosen winner from Lisa and Laila at Lili Of The Valley
and of course from our Mary & Andrea at The Ribbon Girl
I wanted to do something a bit different for this so.....
... this is what I did.
There's no image so no colours list today, but the papers are ....
... Lily Bees Head Over Heels.
Beautimous pinks - I love love LOVE these together :)
What I did was to carefully remove the centre from one of the anemone vintage pink flowers and replace it with a yummy big bow made from 38mm pale pink silky crush ribbon. Then I topped it with an 18mm sparkly button and then a double bow made from ivory button twine.
These 3 pretty flowers are from this ....
... floribunda roses antique lilac mix.
And the lace across the centre is 25mm pink velvet lace
I found the sentiment on t'internet and printed it out using font Janda Scrapgirl Dots which is a free download from Da Font (and there are some beauties on there peeps so do check it out of you get a sec).
As usual (for me lately) I add a couple of dies - I can't seem to stop using them!!
I used a Spellbinders Spellbinders ADORNING SQUARES Nestabilities Majestic Elements die - these have lots of different uses .....
.... don't you think?
And the other die is a Memory Box Lavish Branch die which I chopped up for the leaves
I have to say that IRL this card look much nicer than on the pics and I really like it.
Well didn't we have a nice time yesterday over at Lili Of The Valley.
Wanna see some pics?
OK here you are then (hope you said yes then!!) .....
Check out Miss Tracy working hard in the right hand pic.
She was a workshop 'virgin' before yesterday and she was a bit nervous but she had a good time which is what it's all about.
Tracy is the mum of this ...
... little cutie here.
He is called Bobby and to say he is adorable is an understatement - I could take this kid home with me.
I've met him before over at Leeds and he has just about stolen my heart. He came with his dad and big sis Jody to collect Mum and of course we had a nice little natter.
Didn't get a kiss though cos he is wayyyyyy too big for that kind of malarky!!!
All done :)
I couldn't believe my ears when this super sweet lady told me where she came from.
She is from Australia (struth Sheila) and is a fan of all things LOTV. She didn't actually come from Oz just for the workshop. She is visiting here, but she did come from Heathrow which is quite a long way away. It was lovely to meet her and all the other super sweet peeps.
I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did ladies, thank you all so much for coming over and hope to see you again soon.
The next workshop is on June - the deets are here - and of course it's Port Sunlight next week so if you are going come and say hidy hi :)xx
Right I better go.
I have a kitchen floor that won't mop itself (booo hiss and if men had to do it then a self cleaning floor would have surely been invented by now). I also have 6 chicks who need to be fed. Yes it's that time of the year again and Rich is working all day today so I am in charge!!!
I just might get a bit of sneaky crafting in as well - well, I do have to do the prep for Card Club tomorrow and what a great excuse :)
Enjoy the rest of your day and see you soon.
Huggiest of them there hugs to all xxx
