The sun has finally found its way to Chester and today is a really nice day - it might not last (probably won't lol xx) but I am going to make the most of it and get the rest of me pots done in the garden today!!

Right, 2 cards here for 3 challenges - loving the brain cell saving, and God knows I need it lol xx. This one is for my first go at Friday Sketchers based on sketch 4 by the very talented Heidi. I flipped the sketch so I hope that's ok but I really love it and will use it again for sure.
My new Sweet Art Ebony stamps arrived yesterday and I just had to have a play with them. This is another first card for a new challenge set up by Debbie and Nikki and it is a must for anyone who loves Sugar Nellies - it's the Spoon Full of Sugar challenge and the first one is summer time. I also used this for Cute Card Thurday, challenge 12, which is to use patterned paper.Speaking of summer, this blogger is off to enjoy the weather now, but have a great weekend peeps and tfs xxx

Oh WOW - I got this award from the lovely Jools. Thank you sooo much for this chicken - it's really nice of you and I really do appreciate it xxx

Now I thought that I would pass this on to a newcomer whose blog I came across recently and that is Sally. Good luck with the blogging and I can't wait to see more of your lovely work xxx

Now while we are on the subject of awards, you probably wont remember but I was given this 'you make my day' award back in March and I said at the time that I would keep it in reserve and pass it on to someone in the future as I continued my blogging journey. So I would like to pass this on now to someone who is also new to blogging but is also a very talented young lady and that is Zoe. This is now yours Zoe and keep up the good work sweetie xxxx

4 in 1

This is a 4 in 1 card!!!
That is, 4 challenges all rolled together!! Now I didn't do this because I was trying to be a genius peeps, cos I aint that clever!!! No, I did it cos as per usual, in true pink piggy fashion, I wanted
to so some challenges, left it a little bit late as I realised that I have loads of stuff to do for a forthcoming workshop and therefore only had a limited a limited amount of time - el numbskull that I am at times - it's true lol xx
So I thought - and this bit IS genius lol xx (well it is for me!!) - why not roll them all together!!!!
So the challenges are -
Ismaki 21 based on a sketch by the ever so clever Claudia
PTW - one for the fellas
Stamp Something - using something 'faux', in this case the stitching
and last but by no means least
Tilda & Co challenge 21 - that's torn it
The papers are Funky Fairy and Mad About Cards, the brads are Poppicrafts, and that fab arrow is from Marieka's etsy shop - its a great download.
If I am being honest, I am not totally thrilled with the result - can't say why exactly, but it just doesn't 'feel' right!! - so I possibly won't do that again, but hey ho, we live and we learn.
But tfs peeps xxxxx

Tuesday 27 May 2008

I had an e-mail from someone who thought I hadnt been posting until the blog candy was done - (thanks chicken xx) but this is just to say to scroll past the blog candy post cos there is loads under it. xx

Monday 26 May 2008

Please don't miss my post tomorrow cos there is some nice blog candy up for grabs to celebrate my 3000 hits - although it has taken me so long to sort that I am almost at 4000!! But more of that tommorra xx
Here is my card for this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge which was based on one of the wonderful Katharina's fab sketches. It's Tilda, the papers are PP and the ribbons, brad and buttons are from Mich @ Poppicrafts
This is my card for Rainbow Lady's challenge which is Christmas Angels. My angel is not strictly Christmas - sorry Cynthia, hope it is OK. The stamp is Butterfly Kisses Around - 2 - It, the papers are PP and the ribbon is Poppicrafts. There are some little pearly stick-ons which I got from Jan at Creative Pastimes, and there is loads of sparkly glitter and glamour dust xx
This is not for any challenge (except for me - out of my comfort zone!!) but I had to share it with you as I just love that stamp. It's a Magnolia from The Glitter Pot and I decoupaged the little flowers and stuck on some PM gems. The ribbons are from Jan at Creative Pastimes and I used gold glamour dust.
And some detail -
TFS xx

Sunday 25 May 2008

Just a very quick post to tell you about a lovely little blog I just visited. It's the creation of Zoe who is 8 and she is the daughter of the very talented Nikkie. You can see it here, pop over and have a look - there is a lovely card on there which she has made for her Grandad xx

BLOG CANDY ALERT - 1 day to go. I'll keep this post at the top until I draw the winner xx

Well as promised peeps, there is some yummy blog candy to be had here, to celebrate my 3000 hits -although it has been so long in coming (sorry), I am now nearly on 4000 hits!!

This is from Butterfly Kisses and it is an Around - 2 - It angel stamp set.

There is a background stamp, 2 sentiments, numbers 0-9 and a st, th, nd and rd stanps so it is really versatile. You can use it for Christmas and birthdays and I just fell in love with it. The photo does not do it justice. My card for this weeks Rainbow Lady challenge uses another one of these cutey little angels - there are a few in the series (see my post yesterday).

Anyway enough waffle, here's the 3 things you need to do to win it. And as I am nearly at 4000 hits, I will send the winner something extra - it will be a nice surprise.
It's as easy as 1 2 3
  1. Write a quick post on your blog letting everyone know about my blog candy.

  2. Link my blog to your blogroll.

  3. Leave a comment on this post, so I can come to visit your blog.
I will draw a winner with the help of my little Kyla in 2 weeks time so that will be on Tuesday 10th June and this is for everyone, not just the UK xxx

At last!!!
Here are the wonderful cards that our card club ladies did last month for their challenge. The challenge was based on a sketch which I have now lost - doh!!!! I'm sure you will be able to tell what it was from the cards though. Most of our ladies have never worked to a sketch before and it really was a challenge for some of them, but I think they all did a great job with it. Because I always find it so hard to choose a winner, this month we drew a name from a hat. As always, the lovely ladies would be pleased to hear your comments, so here are their cards -
Dawn Pemberton -
Kath Edwards
Margaret Reade
Someone was shy here cos they didn't put their name
June Brown
Jane Mallon
Kath Pook
Another shy lady
Same shy lady who made the gorgeous pink one above
Last but by no means least, Pam Mallon
Hope you enjoyed seeing these as much as I did.

So now I have to pass it on to 3 of my blog buds. Wow this is so hard cos I have 'met' so many nice peeps since I started this blog!!! But I have to choose, soooooo my 3 are -

My All Pink Dawnie who I just love to bits cos apart from being one of the most talented cardies in blogland, she is just soooo nice (is the cheque in the post yet Dawnie? lol xx) xx

The lovely Terrie B whose work never fails to amaze and inspire me and she always does her blog rounds and has a nice word for everyone (I already got your cheque Terrie ta lol x)

And finally Em, who just makes me howl - read her blog if you want a chuckle !! She is the tarting up Queen of blogland and is soo funny with it ( that is what you said wasn't it Em??? lol xx)

So there ya go !!! But there are loads more I could have passed it on to, it's just that these 3 paid me the most lol xxx

Wednesday 21 May 2008

Now don't faint folks - I don't blog for a couple of weeks then twice in 2 days lol xx

This is my card for the Tilda & Co challenge, beads of glory. The beads were a freebie from one of the zillion craft mags I subscribe to and they have been in a cupboard for ages. I thought I would use them on this card - what do ya think? The little dotty pink ribbon is from this months Raspberry Ribbons kit. I got the flourish stamp from Creative Pastimes but unfortunately I dont know who it is made by. Jan, if you are reading this, perhaps you could let me know please x The papers are all PP and there is a bit of Glamour Dust on there for good measure - like ya do!!

This one is another done for this weeks PTW challenge. I loved Katharina's sketch sooo much that I just had to do another one. It is going to be one of my favourite sketches I reckon. The papers are Pink Petticoat and Prima Hybrid. The beautiful blooms are from the wonderful Mich at Poppicrafts (also the black brad) and the lovely little sentiment is from Butterfly Kisses.

Tuesday 20 May 2008

Here are my cards for PTW Challenge. There's good news and bad news here peeps lol xxx The bad news is that I missed last week's challenge but it was such a nice challenge that I just had to do it,so better late than never. The challenge was Lucious Lime & Lilac - what gorgeous colours. I got this stamp from Butterfly Kisses and it is just the cutest ever. Her name is Ellie and she is sooo sweet. Unfortunately they are having website problems at the mo but there is a number you can ring and Alison is a very nice lady who is really helpful. If you haven't bought any of their stuff, I would really recommend that you keep checking because not only are their stamps gorgeous and excellent quality (and value for money too), they do some of the nicest samples I have ever seen. The papers are PP and the ribbons are literally from the bottom of one of my ribbon bags. I watercoloured her and added some Glamour Dust and decoupaged her bum bow - how sweet xx

Now for the good news - I have actually managed to get this weeks PTW challenge done in time. And not just in time, but really early - wooooohoooo lol xx It's based on another fabulous sketch by Katharina so here it is. Stamp is Tilda with a Knitted Jumper and the papers are PP mini dots and the others are Prima Hybrid - Nancy Kubo from her So Sweet collection. The gorgeous ribbon is from this month's Raspberry Ribbons kit
TFX xx
PS - I have started adding labels now but mine are appearing at the top of each post. Does anyone know how to get them to the bottom of the post please - sorry but I am a complete technical dimwit - it's a miracle I managed to do this blog lolxx

Thursday 15 May 2008

Hello peeps. Thank you so much for your lovely e-mails asking if I was ok - mmmmwwwaaahhhh xx. I have just had sooo much stuff going on lately, and my poor old blog has been a bit neglected - slap slap. I am going to have a blog hop fest over the next few days, but sorry for not stopping by recently. I have missed looking at all your fab stuff so I will be catching up asap.

Now first things first - my blog candy. As promised, I am definately going to put somthing on here next week. I am going to Bolton on Sunday so I will get something yummy scrummy to celebrate my 3000 hits. Anyone else going btw? Also, I have to say a big sorry to my lovely ladies at Saughall Card Club. They did some brilliant stuff last month (as always) which I never got around to posting - shame on me!! They have once again done some wonderful stuff for our challenge this month, and that will be going on the blog very soon, so keep watching folks cos there is going to be a lot going on over the next few weeks.

To celebrate the fact that I am now back in the land of the living, I did a couple of challenges. I have a couple more to do and will post them soon as lolxx.
This is Rainbow Ladies challenge. I have never done one of her challenges before but I am sure I will be again cos she has some nice stuff going on. This week is challenge 13 - in the garden and this is my card for that. The stamp is by Funstamps - Stick Leg Gardener - and I have had this for so long that I couldn't even tell you where I got it from, but it is sort of cute I thought. The wellies and little flowers are from Woodware In The Garden set, the paper is PP and the blooms, brads and ribbon is Poppicrafts.
This is my Tilda challenge and it is challenge 19, black and white - great challenge cos I love black and white. Tilda sitting on a present was paper pieced with PP papers and there is some glitter and Glamour Dust and gorgeous ribbon from my stash. Those cuteeee little buttons are from Mich @ Poppicrafts and I stuck some gems in the middle of them.
This next one didn't photograph well - I might have another go and re-do it and re-post. This is Dino, the new download from PP. Paper is PP as well and there is some gold Glamour Dust on there. He has a little star round his neck, which reminded me of Rodney in Emmerdale, but this little fella is probably a bit younger lol xxx Check out his diamond earring - how cool is he!!! Sort of Keith Richards meets the Blues Brothers. I loves him xxxxx
This one is for my friends little girl's birthday. I just got one of those spring templates and I really like using it - it's just a bit different and great for kids cards I think. The stamp is Woodware - Fairy Delight, and the paper is PP.
