Tangerine Fairy & This Week’s Blast From The Past :)

Picture 012c copy

Hi there peeps and hope you are all okay today.
It's Friday today which means the weekend is nearly here – woohooo!!

The card I’m sharing today is actually the card which should have been on here yesterday, but I didn't get back from Newcastle until late on Wednesday night and I was absolutely shattered yesterday because it was a busy few days.

But we are here now and over at the
Lili’s Little Fairies Challenge, we have the most popular theme this week because ….

Anything Goes

….. and

Picture 006c

… this is what I did (we are back on the brights again it seems,  although this isn't too harsh  on the old retinas!!!).

The image is one of the older  Lili of The Valley images and she is of course Dandelion Clock.

I coloured her with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R20
Hair – E43, E50, E51, E81
The rest – B0000, B000, B00, B05, B12, E81, YR0000, YR00, YR04, YR07, YR16

The papers are from the new FQB The Bees Knees collection from the fabulous Nitwits

Picture 009c copy

The bow was made from  15mm Orange No 42 Microdot Ribbon which is available of course from The Ribbon Girl.

Picture 010c copy

And this array of bloomage is of course from Wild Orchid Crafts

Picture 011c copy

I really am loving these new LOTV sentiment tags, and so will you be when you see them.

Not long now :)

 Picture 007c copy

Picture 008c copy

So that’s the old card done for today.

I'm really looking forward to this weekend and hope that lots of you manage to get up  (or down) to Leeds - it promises to be a wonderful and crafty weekend.

Right, now for this week's blast from the past and I’m being a bit sentimental here.  A year ago this week, my Uncle died suddenly. I cannot quite believe a year has gone by as it only seems like last week when it happened (I must be getting old!!).  But this was the song we played at his funeral because he loved it and so many lots of people came up to my aunty after and asked her what it was. It’s such a beautiful song and her voice is just amazing -  I defy anyone not to be moved a little bit when listening to it.  So I’ll say goodbye and leave you with Enya and see you back here soon as soon.

Have a great weekend and huggiest of hugs to all and especially to you Miss Marcea  xxx.

This one is for you Uncle Ed xxx

Right I’m off and good luck to everyone who enters this week. I’ll be back tomorrow so I’ll see you in person then rather than this scheduling malarky. But if this hasn’t work then it will be a bit of a card bonanza cos I will have to squash them all in on one humungous post!!! Jeez, image the waffle on that post– you poor things.  Best keep our fingers crossed that this has worked I guess, lol!!!

Enjoy your day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Here’s A Lil Sneakie Peekie Plus a Blast From The Past:)

Picture 007c copy

Hi there peeps and hope you are all OK today.

We got back from Aintree a little later than we thought we would but I managed to get the dies I wanted plus one or two other little bargainous goodies which no doubt I’ll share with you at some point in the future lol!! Well they just sort of jumped into my basket really and I didn’t have the heart to tell them to get out again !!!

I have a card to share today which is made using one of the brand new Lili Of The Valley.

This cute image is  called

Scooter Boy

and you will be able to get your mitts on him and the other new stuff soon as soon because they are going to be released on  Wednesday 9th May on the LOTV website :)

BUT …..

if you are coming along to the open weekend next Saturday and Sunday then you will be able to get them there and you’ll be the first to have them.

There’ll be 10% off of all your LOTV purchases, the LOTV team will be there,  Bev is doing classes and your truly here will be demoing. It promises to be a bit of a  fab,  fun and crafty doo (plus I hear that there’s going to be cream teas, snort snort and count me in for that one :)

open day picture

Fantastico or what!!!

Picture 001c copy

Now back to the card.

I coloured him with Copics and these are the colours I used …..

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R20

Hair -  E29, E50

The rest – B00, B39, B45, 93, B95, B97, E33, E41, E50, E51, E81, E87, Y00, Y08, Y11, Y17, Y21, Y28

I used another newbie here because  the papers I used are all from Nitwits and they are from the brand new FQB The Bees Knees collection.

Picture 006c copy

Clean and fresh – just how we like it :)

 Picture 004c copy

A bit of an homage to Leann  here – that girl can do wonders with a bit of string.  I love her – she’s totally fablass :)

This is my first string attempt so it isn't quite in the same league sadly.

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

So that’s  me done and I’m off to have a play with me new crafty stash.

I’ve had another lot of gorgeous lil jumpers in so Ill do the pics and put them on here tomorrow. Honestly, you are the absolute best you lovely peeps, mmmmwwwaahhhh xxx

I did say that I’d put this weeks BFTP on seeing as it didn’t happen on Thursday so better late than never and this week I’m back to Blur. They look so young in this vid, and check out old Kevin Wicks as well. Fave line in the whole song (apart from ‘Park Loife’) is ‘Who's that gut lord marching... you should cut down on your pork life mate... get some exercise’.

Still makes me smile after all this time!! And possible cringe a bit now cos I am that gut Lord (lady) fo sho!!!! But I’m still having a cream tea next weekend, oh yes siree I am :)

So enjoy and  ….

… see you soon and enjoy your Saturday evening.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Picture 003c copy

Picture 004c copy

So that’s it from me today.

I am a tad on the late side adding this cos it’s been one of those bitty days. You know, when you don't actually get much done but you never seem to stop. And ladyship is in residence so I am guessing where we are off for tea!!!  But I’ll be back tomoz and I’ll do my blast from the past as I didn't manage to get on here yesterday due to having to finish off a very big job which has been lurking for a week or so.

I’m going to Aintree in the afternoon to pick up some dies but it is a flying visit unfortunately – no time to stop and shop, cry cry. So I’ll see you before I head off.

Till them. have a great Friday evening and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Basic Grey and Bright Red :)

Picture 006c copy

Morning lovely peeps and what a wash out it is here today.
Yesterday was plain grey and today is just plain wet!!! Apparently this is it for the next 5 days so I  better get me wellies out or I’ll end up with webbed feet!! After all the non rain and this drought thing, we can’t really moan I suppose.

So I’ll shut up and get on with today’s card lol!!

Out theme this week over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge is

Anything Goes

This week we are showcasing Paper Smooches stamps but you don't HAVE to use them if you don't want to. But if you have them,  we would love to see what you do with them :-)

As always the loveliness that is Heidi is giving away a fantastic …..

which our winner gets to spend…

right here :)

But that’s not all this week peeps because the lovely Kim Hughes, who is the designer of  the  Paper Smooches range of stamps,  is giving a 2nd lucky winner a choice of 2 stamp sets ! :-)

And Kim also gave us all a set of stamps to play with – hugest thanks chick x

And this …

Picture 001c copy

… is what I did with mine.

I used the sweet little turtle from the  Party Posse set …

*Paper Smooches PARTY POSSE Clear Stamps Kim Hughes

.. and coloured him with these Copics -

E41, E50, E81, E87, R02, R05, R17, R27, R59

I cut him out and put him on a Nestabilities LABELS 18

Picture 004c copy

The paper is from the Basic Grey12 x 12 Basic White Paper Pack

You can just about see the border I made with a Spellbinders CLASSIC SCALLOP Edgeabilities Die and the ribbon and buttons were from my stash.

The gems started out clear but I gave them a swipe with a black Copic so that they stood out a bit more.

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

Righty-oh, that’s the card done and I’m doing one of me trolley dashes here today as I have shed loads of work to do again. It won’t do itself  (ohh wouldn't that be fab if it did!!) so I best crack on with it.

Have a fabby (and dry) day and I’ll be back tomoz.

Huggiest of them there hugs to all xxx
