Winnie Willow xx

She's busy baking - and get a load of her fab eye shadow. Delia doesn't look like that when she's in the kitchen for sure :))x

As well as getting her as a download, she is now available as a stamp over at Willow Designs. And I thought I'd use her for this week's Willow Sketchie Challenge which is based on a fab sketch by Zoe
.
So here's my take on her sketch.

Winnie was coloured, as always, with my beloved PMs. The papers are a mixture of Tinker & Co and Mad About Cards and the ribbon was sent to me by my friend in the US of A xxx

I got the bees I think from when I did that craft sale, and also the vellum stickers which I used for the sentiment - they are just stuck onto squares of card.

Them there bees are so sweet. Oh and can you see the MSBP peeping out.

Not a lot of dimension here, but I'm still quite pleased with it.

Now if you fancy joining us on our creative journey over at Willow Sketchie, pop over and have a look cos Sharon is looking for another designer to join our fab team.

Well it's a short but sweet one tonight. I intended to get this posted ages ago but I worked till quite late, and then we had visitors and they have only just gone.

I will be back tomorrow with some more cardage and some very sad news peeps. Get your tissues ready cos it's gonna be a tear jerker (sniff sniff).

Till then, have a fab night xxxxx

A Fair Few Challenges & Fab News To Share xxx

The wanderer returns lol xxx That's me, not this lil cutie btw !!

And I do have some fab news, but more of that in a sec, although I know some of you have already twigged and some of you knew already.

I thought I would use my new stamps to do some challenges. Both stamps are from the very wonderful Wild Rose Studio. And of course, I had to colour them with my Pro Marker bad boys - nothing else would do!!! I also had a bit of a dabble with my Sakura Glaze pens as well - just to give a bit of depth to some of the colour.

So this is my card for 2 challenges, Mojo Monday, which is based on a sketch, and a gorgeous one it is as well. And I also did the Colour Create challenge which this week is blue and brown. Well with such delish colours, how could I not!!

The papers are both Tinker & Co and the ribbon is Poppicrafts scrummy grosgrain loveliness, and I used the last bit here - cry cry!!!. I found the button in the bottom of my button box so I have not the first clue where it came from, but I'm glad I found it cos it was the just the job I thought :))x

There is an added extra for Colour Create ie you can add lace and pearls. Well girls, I managed the pearls and I did originally put some lace on it, but at the last minute I took it off cos I thought it looked a bit pants actually!!!

And I thought I'd also have a basho at this weeks Sketch & Stash, which is a sketch, and you use your newest stash on your card. So I thought that this yummy hunny bunny was perfect for the sketch, and it is a brand new stamp.

ohhh nasty pic here with that green but IRL it is a lot less harsh on the old eye balls. I may re-take this in better light and re-post it tomorrow. I may even re-take it using Emma's new camera which has loads more pixels than mine and cost about 1/10th of what my beggar did!!!

That camera needs a good slap sometimes. It is getting on a bit now, but aren't we all lol xxxx. It was an all singing all dancing one when I got it in 2003 but it is a bit behind the times now, poor thing. Sadly, I know how it feels xxx

But meanwhile, back at the blog .....

The papers and sentiment are PP and the brads and ribbon are Poppicrafts. Again I used the Sakura Glaze Pens over the little eggs and I gave it a dusting of Glamour Dust. I also decoupaged the ears and feet for a bit more dimension.

Not sure if you can see it better here or not.

Well you have probably guessed what my good news is, cos I did give a pretty big clue in my Willow Sketchie post earlier, but in case you missed it, I will now reveal!!

I am soooo pleased to tell you that I am a fully fledged member of Dulcie's Wild Rose Design team. I am chuffed as chuffed can be to be chosen, and not only do I get to play with these wonderful stamps but I also get to work with some pretty amazing and awesome girls as well, including one of my fave bloglies, the brilliant Leann who I just love to bits.

So that's my news which I am truly thrilled to share.

So on that happy happy note, I am off to see what Kath's been up to cos I just saw she's posted and I am a nosey sod, and then I am off to me bed complete with pjs (we're in the cotton ones now cos it's a bit warm for wyncyette), hot choccie and me book. Ohh I tell you, if aliens ever landed in our garden, they would do an about turn so goddam fast and hot foot it straight back to Planet Zanussi or wherever they came from cos quite frankly, I don't think they could cope with the excitement lol xxx

Night lovely peeps xxxxx

Stars And Stripes and Spicy Browns xxx

What gorgeous colours in the new December kit from Raspberry Ribbons which is now on sale. Check it out here

These are some of my cards made with the new kit xxx

I used my new Pollycrafts stamp again cos I just love that little face. I must do another one but colour it as a girl. The card blank is Craftwork Cards and the DP is Tinker & Co. I coloured the image with PMs and used a Sakura Glaze pen to highlight.
DP is from the extremely lovely and kind lady that is Summer Driggs - this is from her Vintage Oreos set. Again, Tilda is coloured with PMs. You probably can't tell from this picture but that ribbon is the most beautiful colour - like a rusty rich coppery brown. Delish xx

And that's a Martha Stewart punch, you're right, but it's not the usual suspect.

Thanks to one of my very good blog buds who will remain nameless cos I dont want her to get inundated (but she knows who she is and she knows I am truly thankful for all her help of late xxx), my MSBP has a new pal to keep it company.

This little beauty not only cuts a fine zig zag border but it embosses and punches little dinky holes at the same time. It's fab and at the mo, they are on offer at MS - although when I went to the site to put the link on, there didn't seem to be any of this type there. That's the bad news. The good news is that all the punches are reduced from $14.99 to $11.24 including my beloved doily punch, which you know I just lubs a lot xxxx

So, will this one replace the doily punch in my affections???

NOT a cat's chance in hell, although I think it is quite fetching and I do rather like it.

A lot.
And talking of liking a lot, this is one of my gorge Alota stamps coloured with PMs - just for a change. I used the PP Really Big Dots download again which I love so much (no doubt cos I am a bit dotty meself lol xx).

So all in all, I think this one has to be my personal fave.

I'll be back with some more tomorrow but for now I am going to get my heavy duty sex kitten pjs on, compelete with bed socks (I've given you that particular picture before and can't bring myself to inflict it on you lovely peeps again). Then it's a fab night of telly for the Phillips-May household.

Stricly Come Dancing First - ohhhh Bruce gets more and more toe-curlingly embarrasing as the weeks go on, but I LOVE Bruno and Craig - fab-you-lous!!.

Then X Factor - Alexandra to win, she's awesome and I'm sort of glad that gobby Rachel went. What an appalling flippin attituide!!!.

Then to top it all off, IACGMOOH.

Can I just ask, nobody in Blogland is voting for the arrogant, smug, self satisfied, hair gelled to within an inch if its life, half wit that is DVD are they ????

Oh please don't lovlies - it's just encouraging him. I think he is starting to think that someone likes him lol xxx. Sorry if you are a Dollar fan (that really is shameful, and that's coming from a Shakin Stevens fan as well lol xx) but I have an overwhelming urge to give him a fistful of the beggars every time I look at him!!!!

Harsh but true. But have a great evening and see ya manana xxxxx

And Now For Something Completely Different ...

How about a lilac Christmas??
Here's some more of my Poppicrafts cards...

The image is a Sugar Nellies and is coloured with ..... can you guess????
Yeeeeees it's that old 'PMs highlighted with Glamour Dust' chestnut again (yawn yawn) lol xxxand zooooom xxxx
Cuttlebug snowflake btw, covered with Glamour Dust.

And some non Christmas ones. And I cracked the whip again with the MSBP cos it has had a rest, so now it must get back to work again.

DP is Funky Fairy
Paper is Tinker & Co and the scalloped card is from Craftwork Cards

So that's it folks.

BTW is anyone going to the NEC at the weekend? Ohh do let me know if you are - it would be completely fab to meet up and say hi while I am squandering my children's inheritance!!!

:)x

Hi Peeps. Hope you are all having a great weekend and that the weather isn't too awful for you. Here in Chester it is cold, grey and verrrry windy today - grrrr, miserable. So what better way to spend the day than staying inside in the warm and doing a spot of crafting lol xxx. This first card is for the Paper Take Weekly challenge which this week is hot hot hot (I wish!!). I did a 2 in 1 and used the sketch from Friday Sketchers. Papers are PP and the ribbons are Raspberry Ribbons and one from my stash. The little flowers were from Costco and the brads are from the fabulous Poppicrafts. Check out the website cos there is a 15% off sale this weekend - you'll need to hurry though cos it ends at midnight tonight.

This next one is a 3 in 1 and this time it is for
the very wonderful 2 Sketches for You based on
one of Laura's fab sketches,
the Spoonful of Sugar challenge which is to create
a card for a celebration, and also Cute Card Thursday which was to create a card for a birthday - simple as that. The papers are from Tinker & Co (Sweet Dreams)

The last one I did is
for 2 challenges -
TGI Friday, which is to
create a card for a baby and Daring Card Makers
which is to create a quick card
which took no more than 30 minutes to make. The stamp I used is from Sally's e-bay shop, The Stamp Boutique. Her stamps are just gorgeous and very reasonable too. Check out her blog here. The ribbons are Raspberry Ribbons and the buttons are from God knows where cos I certainly don't but hey how cute!!

TFS xx

Saturday, 31 May 2008

The sun has finally found its way to Chester and today is a really nice day - it might not last (probably won't lol xx) but I am going to make the most of it and get the rest of me pots done in the garden today!!

Right, 2 cards here for 3 challenges - loving the brain cell saving, and God knows I need it lol xx. This one is for my first go at Friday Sketchers based on sketch 4 by the very talented Heidi. I flipped the sketch so I hope that's ok but I really love it and will use it again for sure.
My new Sweet Art Ebony stamps arrived yesterday and I just had to have a play with them. This is another first card for a new challenge set up by Debbie and Nikki and it is a must for anyone who loves Sugar Nellies - it's the Spoon Full of Sugar challenge and the first one is summer time. I also used this for Cute Card Thurday, challenge 12, which is to use patterned paper.Speaking of summer, this blogger is off to enjoy the weather now, but have a great weekend peeps and tfs xxx
