Picture-006web

Hi there possums and a very happy Sunday to everyone.

Can you believe it's time for another  Ribbon Girl Magnolia Only challenge  - wow that's gone quick - and it's a super easy challenge this month, just ....

use two backing papers

We have two fabulous prizes for our randomly chosen winner:

A Magnolia stamp all the way from the home of Tilda and Edwin kindly donated by Magnolia of Sweden

plus ....

... a £10 voucher towards a spending spree at The Ribbon Girl online store

So 2 great reasons for dusting down your Tildas and joining is :)

So what did I do then?

 Picture-001web

Well as you can probably see, this is actually for my friend (Annie) who is at Wimbledon at the mo.
She won't be back until next week so Mr Postie is taking it to her.

I used Tennis Tilda which is available at Sir Stampalot and coloured her with these Copics -

Skin - E000, E00, E11, E13, R00, R02
Hair - E31, E35, E39, E50
The rest -   E30,  E31, E35, G99, RV0000, RV000, RV00, RV10, RV34, YG0000, YG00, YG03, YG59

This is my first attempt at doing grass. It isn't perfect but hey ho!!!

But what is perfect is the papers -which are  Lili of The Valley Paper Pad - Perfect Pair

Picture-005web

A double bow made from Siam Pink Seam Binding and topped with another bow made from the ivory twine from a  Card of Brown Earth Mix Hemp Twine.  And of course there is a Sweetheart Blossom in Baby Pink & White and a sweet little Tennis Raquet Charm as well :)

Anything else just wouldn't be, well, tennis !!!

Picture-004web

Still loving the Magnolia lovely fence and Borderabilities - Curved Borders One dies.

Picture-002web

I added a bit of Ivory Jute Mesh Ribbon to look like the net :) and also a strip of 9mm 9422 Pink Beauty Velvet Berisford ribbon cos it was so pretty .

And I used my new Go Kreate Frilly Frame #6 die to make the card base.
I'm sure this will appear on here again (and again and again ......)

Picture-003web

So there we are all done for today.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll see you in the week.

There will lots going on I think because I have quite a few cards to share so see you soon as soon and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Sweet As Candi :)

Hello possums and hope you are all OK today xxx (

It's that time of the week when we catch up with our friends in the US of A over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week our theme is

Anything Goes

This week the DT are showcasing Card Candi from Craftwork Cards.
You don't have to use them of course, but if you have them we would love to see them  :-)

And as always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… right here :)

THANK YOU Heidi & Simon Says Stamp & Craftwork Cards  xxx

So what did I do then?

Shades alert me darlins cos this bad boy is BRIGHT!!!!

web

See, I did warn ya :)

I went for something nice and cheery to match the yummy Polka Dots Citrus Burst Card Candi

So I used this paper which is from the  Echo Park Hello Summer collection.

Picture-005web

I wanted to do something a bit different with the Candi so I decided to make a flower.

These are ever so easy to do and to make them, this is what you do -

Punch out a 1" circle from scrap card.

Take your candi, bend in half and pinch one end together -  leave the other end open. Hopefully you can see what I mean from the pic

Using your glue gun (it's easier than tape or wet glue), and working from the outer edge, add a blob of glue to the back of the folded Candi near the unopened end and stick onto the  punched circle.

Go around the edge and work into the centre.

Simples!!!

And you could make bigger flowers than this by starting off with a bigger punched or die cut circle.
I think they look a bit Hydrangea-ish.

Picture-006web

I also used the Candi to create a scalloped edge here.

 Picture-003web

The leaves are made from an Impression Obsession Branch Die - I just chopped it up a bit :)

 Picture-004web

So that's the old card done for today and I'll be back soon as soon with a couple of sneakie peekies for you.

Have a lovely day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

A Fruity Little Number :)

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK today xxx.

It's that time of the week when we catch up with our friends in the US of A over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week our theme is

Summer Fruits

This week the DT are showcasing  American Crafts products.
You don't have to use them of course, but if you have them we would love to see them  :-)

And as always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

… right here :)

THANK YOU Heidi & Simon Says Stamp xxx

So what did I do then?

Picture-001web

I got one of me Tilda's out seeing as I haven't used one for ages.
This ones is
Tilda With Lovely Jam and I coloured her with Copics.

Picture-006web

Stupidly, and not like me I know (!!!),  I put them all away without writing down what I've used, so I'm winging it a bit here.

But I THINK I used -

Skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R02
Hair - E31, E35, E39,
The rest - E30, E40, E41, E42, E50, R05, R17, R27, R59, RV0000, RV000, RV10, R85

I do know fo sho that the papers are from an American Crafts Amy Tangerine Sketchbook 6x6 Paper Pad

Picture-004web

I made the blooms up from a packet of Hero Arts 70 FLOWERS WHITE AND CREAM and added a middle made from a Nellie Snellen STAMEN Floral Punch

I had a bit of a saga with my Grand Calibur this week  - more in a sec - so I am die cutting machine-less at the mo. So I had to improvise a bit.  I chopped off the edges from a scalloped card blank and used them to create a border. I also made a ruffle trim from some Doodlebug BUBBLEGUM SWISS DOT Washi Tape

I turned out OK-ish I think.

 Picture-005web

So here's the fruity bit!!

Well the jam in the image is fruity of course,  but I wanted to add something that looked like fruit as well. So I made a little cherry sprig from a couple of buttons and a  chopped up Martha Stewart FROND LEAF Craft Punch leaf.

Picture-002web

Picture-003web

I had a bit of a trauma making this card because as I said, my Grand Calibur machine went belly up last week and was dropping oil/grease everywhere. To be absolutely fair about it, Spellbinders have been amazing, they really have. I am totally in awe of their customer service. I told them about it on Thursday and they asked me to send some pics which I did and the could see that this was fault with the machine and not something I had done wrong. They said they would get one of their UK distributors to send me a new one and one arrived on Monday.

BUT sadly it wasn't working properly either so I am just waiting on a reply from the UK side of things.

The saga looks set to continue but it means that I have no die cutting machine and I am lost I can tell you. I struggled to make a card without using a die and the only reason I managed to get the oval cut for the image was that I tried to use the new machine and though it did cut this out, it is making a horrible noise and the plates are not feeding through as they ought to so I dare not use it again.

But anyway we got there in the end with the card and I'm not too unhappy with how it turned out!!

Right I better go and do some work.
I have my pottery class this evening and I'm looking forward to it. The pieces I've done aren't yet dry but I will put some pics on here so you can have a laugh once they are all done!!

Enjoy your day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Hi there sweet peeps and hope you are all OK today.

It's that time of the week when we nip over and check out what's happening at Papertake Weekly and this week we are

Hot Hot Hot

Now you can have this as a colour challenge if you want to  ie use warm colours such as red, orange, yellow, hot pink etc or you may have a different interpretation!!

so do nip and check it out of you get a sec :)
We also have another GDT call out so if you'd like to join  us for 3 months, check it all out over at the challenge.

So .....

Picture-001w

... this is what I did.

I used one of the new Set 64 - Quotables - Life's Journey and just added a bucketful of beautiful bloomage. And if you've come here from the challenge blog, your eyes aren't deceiving you because I changed the fuzzy bit on the edit here.

I liked it better in white!!

I have to tell you as well that IRL there isn't a grey blob on the card - for some reason it has just appeared when I was editing.
All very weird if you ask me!!!

Picture-005w2

The butterfly was made from LOTV Set 66 - Grunge Elements - I chopped off it's bits and replaced them with some hot pink wire - poor old butterfly :) I must be in chopping off mode today cos I have just had all my hair chopped off as well. I went from medium length to rather short in under an hour. I LOVE it and it's much cooler!!

The blooms are from The Ribbon Girl and include -

Mixed Dahlia Raspberry Delight

Floribunda Roses Raspberry Ripple

Rolled Paper Roses Ruby Red Kort & Godt

Carnation Deep Pink

Beaded Berries Pink/Pale PinkStarburst Stamen Pink

I also added a few pink pearls on wire that were in my stash and  a few leaves made from a  Martha Stewart FROND LEAF Craft Punch.

Picture-006w2

I ran a Copic over some 75cm Ivory Jute  -it works so well and you can coordinate it to match your card.

And I .....

 Picture-002webw2

.... made a fish tail from some 25mm Shocking Pink No 72 Berisford Satin

Picture-003w2

So that's the old card done me darlins and now for my monthly gorgeous giveaway which is as always sponsored by the sweeties that are Mary & Andrea.

And check out  what’s up for grabs peeps ....

ten-pound-gift-voucher

... so if you want to get your mitts on this, then all you have to do is leave your name with old Inlinz andI'll announce the winner next  Tuesday.

Can I also say thank you before I go to those lovely peeps who have come over to the Bloglovin thing as well. Thank you for staying with me chicksies  - I so appreciate it and I will have some followers candy very shortly for you.

Right I'm off to do some work.

I Want One Of These :)

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK today xxx.

It's that time of the week when we catch up with our friends in the US of A over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week our theme is

Travel

This week the DT are showcasing Basic Grey products.
You don't have to use them of course, but if you have them we would love to see them  :-)

And as always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

… right here :)

THANK YOU Heidi & Simon Says Stamp xxx

So what did I do then?

 Picture-001webw

Well, for what seems like aaaaaaaaaaages now, I got out the old Copics and gave this sweet little Penny Black  ABOUT TOWN Mimi stamp a splash of colour.

And the paper I used is BasicGrey WHAT'S UP 6 x 6 Cardstock Paper Pack.

I've sort of gone back to my clean and simple roots with this one  It's the way I used to make them years ago before I got tempted by all the lovely blooms and embellies etc.

Funnily enough, I was a bit richer then.
Do you think there's a correlation here peeps lol!!!

Picture-005web

It does seem a while since I did any colouring so I really enjoyed this and these are the pens I used -

Skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R02
Hair - E31, E35, E39, E85
The rest - E31, E35, E39, E85, G000, G00, G21, Y15, Y38, YR04, YR07, YR68

And I thought I'd give her a nice hippy type car so I did a bit of paper piecing.

I soooooo want a car  like that :)

 Picture-004web

The stars were cut using a set of  Wplus9 CLEAR CUT STACKERS: STARS Designer Dies.
I found the button at the bottom of my button stash and added a bit of twine, like you do!!!

Picture-002webw

 Picture-003web

So that's my card and thanks for stopping by today.

Can I just ask anybody out there if they have had any issues with their Grand Calibre machine? Mine has started to ooze oil and grease and it's gone all over the plates and over my work. I now have to sandwich anything I want to cut in between 2 pieces of thin paper to protect it or it just gets covered. I know my machine gets loads of use - probably well above average - but I'm surprised that this has started to happen and don't know why. Anybody got any clues or know of somebody I can contact re this please. I use it so much that I cannot manage without it really. Thanks me darlins xxx

Right I'm off.  Have the best day and see you soon as soon.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

We're Back To Normal :)

Picture-001web1

Hi there sweet peeps and hope you are all OK today.

It's a bit damp and overcast this morning but we can't moan seeing as we have had a run of over a week of sunshine here, woohoooo!!
Maybe it will come back?

Who knows!!!

Firstly, thank you so much to everyone who visited yesterday for the hop.

If you haven't entered, you have until 6pm tonight (UK time) and the winner will be announced later over at the Ideas To Inspire blog.  And thank you for all of your sweet comments, plus one rather strange one  - quelle dommage, you can't please 'em all lol!! It WAS something very different and I think it's good to take yourself out of your comfort zone occasionally. You may not get it right every time but it's good to try :)

So back in the aforementioned comfort zone today cos it's time to head on over to Papertake Weekly where we have a bit of a male thing going on. This week, our theme is

Hello Boys

and we just want to see your Father's day / male cards - simples :)
We have lots of lovely DT cardage plus 2 fab prizes and sponsors so if you get a sec, nip on over and check it all out.

So ....

Picture-001web

.. this is what I did.

It's actually the card we did at the June  Lili of The Valley workshop and here's what I used to make it -

From LOTV -

Image – Vegetable Patch from Art Pad 1 – Vintage Boys

Sentiment – Sent With Love x from Sentiments To Fit Scroll set

Papers – Country Gent 8x8 paper pad

Dies -

Memory Box Grasslands Border Die (negative used)

Joy! Craft Dies - Clouds 3

Magnolia Lovely Fence Die

Apart from the Magnolia die, the others are available from the LOTV shop.

Picture-005web

I decided that I liked the negative of the die cut better as it was a bit chunkier and looked more like a hedge.
I love it when you can use both parts of the die cut :)

I bevelled the fence using some foam pads - it may be a bugger to post but I like the way it looks and you could always box up the card.
It would make it more special then :)

Picture-004web

LOVING these little clouds - they are soooo sweet and quite trendy at the mo.

 Picture-006web

These sentiments are for life and not just for the scroll set!!!

Picture-0021web

I made the little brown dots from card punched out with a tiny hole punch.

Picture-003web

So that's the old card done and if you want to enter the blog hop from yesterday (and if you haven't please do have a go cos there is a whopper of a prize up for grabs), then you can check it all out here sweet peeps.

Right I'm off - I have a busy busy day ahead of me and I need to get a wriggle on or it will be lunch time before I know it and half the day will have gone!!

Enjoy your day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx
