Anyone For Tennis???

Picture 006 copy

Hi there peeps and hope that you are all OK :)

We are off across the water today for our weekly catch up with the Simon Says Stamp Challenge team and our theme is

Sporty and / or Patriotic

What with the Olympics and 4th of July just around the corner for big celebrations, the design team thought that it would be fitting and super fun to feature a challenge based on this theme and this week we are all featuring

Cuttlebug Products

But of course, you don’t have to but if you have them, why not have a fiddle :)

As always, our Heidi is giving away a …..

... which our lucky winner will get to spend in the store ….

… right here :)

So ….

Picture 001 copy

.. this is what I did.

Of course, this is not the traditional Wimbledon look and I am guessing that you would not be allowed to play on the hallowed grass if you wore this little get up!!!

Anyway I am in charge of the wardrobe today so pink it shall be!!!

I coloured Tennis Tilda with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R02, R20

Hair – E43, E50, E81

The rest – R85, RV0000, RV000, RV00, RV02, YG0000, YG00, YG03, YG23

Picture 005 copy

The papers are all from the First Edition Paper 6 x 6 BIRD SONG Premium Pad and I also used a  Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. The pearls are Hero Arts 42 Accent Pearls LIGHT GREEN - they look a bit darker here than they do IRL

Picture 004 copy

The border was cut using a Spellbinders Edgeabilities Classic Scallop E8-001 die and the sentiment was printed onto SAFMAT Self-Adhesive Printing Film.

Awesome stuff!!!

Picture 002 copy

Picture 003 copy

Right that’s the old card done and I’m off to finish some work and then we are going to Emma’s for tea which will mean that a certain Grandma will get lots of cuddles from her 2 little dinkies :) I will have to fight off Grandad, Aunty Nikkie and Great Great Aunty Jean though, but I can share them I guess!!!

Have a wonderful evening and huggiest of hugs to all xxxx

Diamond Jubilee, Crowns & Gems

As always, the lovely Heidi is giving one lucky winner a fabulous ….

… which they get to spend in he store ….

… right here :)

So …

  Picture 001 copy

.. this is what I did.

The  image is Sweet Princess Tilda and i coloured her with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R20

Hair – E42, E50, E81

The rest – RV0000, RV000, RV01, RV95, Y21, Y28, YG0000, YG000, YG03, YG23

I also added some polychromos pencil detail as well

*First Edition Paper 6 x 6 BIRD SONG Premium Pad FEPAD024

Don’t you think that these papers are just heavenly?

They are from First Edition and this set is called Bird Songgorgeous!!

Picture 006 copy

A trio of dies here peeps – just for a change!! I used a Tilda Lace Die, Magnolia Heart Tag and my old faithful Magnolia leaf and swirl die

Then I made a rolled rose to sit on top of the tag.

Picture 007 copy

What would I do without SAFMAT Self-Adhesive Printing Film.

I am so bad at stamping directly onto an image panel so this is just the job.

Picture 005 copy

This pretty crown is from this set …

*Blue Moon CROWNS Metal Charms BM20139

… which is by  Blue Moon and clicking the pic will take you straight to the right place on the website.

Picture 002 copy

Picture 003 copy

I love these soft pastel colours, I really do, and pink and lime is one of my fave combis.

Well I went to see my new Granddaughter last night – and not forgetting my sweet and precious Kyla as well – and I changed her for the first time. Talk about scary and all fingers and thumbs!! You wouldn’t have thought that I had had 2 kids of my own, not to mention  Kyla. I was ever so slightly terrified I can tell you (Richard is still a bit scared of holding her, bless him!!)  Anyway what would have taken me 5 minutes max  in the past, took nearly 10 and I have to say it was as if she knew cos she never made a murmur (which may have been cos the poor kid was too scared even to squeak to be honest!!! ) And her nappy was a disaster – it sort of ended up by her knees.  6 years out of practice is what I am!!!!

Ohhh what an amateur!!!

Anyway we managed it eventually and I felt such a sense of achievement that it was quite pathetic really. We are having them both to stay over on Friday night so that Emma and Tim can have 8 hours of undisturbed sleep (and I get to have lots of cuddles, hahahaaaa!!) . So I better shape meself and quick otherwise she won’t want to come here again lol!!!

Right I better go and finish off. I’ll see you tomorrow with some more cardage but till then, have a fab day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Hi Ho, Hi Ho :)

Picture 005c copy

Hi there sweet peeps and hope[you are all OK today.

It’s that time of the week when we hop across the pond and check out what’s happening over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

This week we have a little piggy sketch ………

… and it’s this bad boy here.

As always, our Heidi is giving away a whopping …..

... which our winner will get to spend in the store ….

Simon Says Stamp

… right here.

This week the Design Team are showcasing American Crafts and/or Martha Stewart products. If you have either of these two products, we would love to see them in your projects this week but if not, please come and join us anyway !!

So …

Picture 001c copy

.. this is what I did.

For a change, I thought I’d use one of my forgotten Sarah Kay stamps (ohh how could I!!) and this one is called  Gardens  Need Many Helpers.

I coloured the little sweetie with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E11,  R00, R20

No Hair today as it’s hidden under the big old hat :)

The rest – B0000, B000, B00, B05, B45, B93, B95, B97, C2, C4, E25, E29, E33, E50, YG0000, YG00, YG03, YG23

The papers are all from the First Edition Up Up & Away 6 x 6 paper pack.

Picture 004c copy

I used one of my Martha Stewart PATP punch sets to make this little mini doily.

There’s a vid on YouTube which I now cannot find but I’ll have a look and edit this is I do come across it. Basically you just use the corner part of the set  - it works with most of the patterns - to go around the edge of a circle. As long as you line up the edge of the circle with the edge of the punch it will be fine. And if it doesn’t quite meet up when you get to the end, just stick a bow over it or cover it up with something else like I’ve done here.

The flowers were made using a Martha Stewart STAMP & PUNCH FLOWER Set 42-25006  - I just used the punch bit - and a Martha Stewart Frond Leaf punch

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

And there we are all done.

My ‘to do’ list is still there but not quite as long as it was yesterday, wooohooooo. And hopefully by tomorrow it will have even less on it, so even more wooohoossss!!! . Sometimes you just have to block everything out and do one thing at a time otherwise it would do your head in for sure!!!

Aww we had some good news yesterday. One of Richard’s oldest friends had lost his little Jack Russell doggy, Rusty a few weeks ago. He was out walking  in the fields with him at the back of his farm and he literally disappeared. We thought that he may have gone down a rabbit hole and got stuck. But not knowing where he was was driving R’s friend mad and he was so upset because he loves that little dog. We just kept our fingers crossed that he would be found.  And he was :)  He was in North Wales  which is about 35 miles away and we think he has gotten out of the field and into a car - it’s the only explanation really. But he is safe and sound and they have been reunited. All’s well that ends well.

Righty oh, I better go and get through a few more items on the list. Have the fabbiest of days me darlings and see you tomorrow with some more cardage.

Take care and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Eyes Down, Look In :)

Picture 009c copy

Hi there peeps and apols for not doing me post yesterday but I have literally risen from my bed today.

This flamin’ cold took hold and I felt plain rotten yesterday so I just hibernated. Today hasn’t been much better but I got up this afternoon and just did a bit of pottering about. I still sound like a cross between Gonzo from the Muppets and Lily Savage – it isn’t attractive at all to be truthful.

Anyway enough of all that cos there are far nicer things to talk about, such as the new challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog, and this week we are having a game of bingo.

So this is our bingo card which I think is FAB – full of possibilities, and one lucky winner will win …..

.. this voucher which they can spend ….

… right here in the store.

Picture 003c copy

So this is what I did – a vision of limes and blues :)

I went for 1 across - ribbon, gems & glitter which I’m sure will come as no surprise to anybody!!!

I used a Tilda from the  new Magnolia collection and First Edition Up Up & Away papers. I love these papers so much that I have just ordered me some more. They are gorgeous I think.

Apols by the way for the not so great quality of these pics but the light was really poor again. Don’t you hate this  time of year for that!!

Picture 008c copy

No Tilda swirls today – instead I used the Magnolia Lovely Fence Die instead. Oooh look how that paper has curled – somebody didn't put the sticky fixers in the right place - dope!!!!

I punched out some flowers and added some  Hero Arts Gemstones

Picture 004c copy

Picture 005c copy

Okee dokee so that’s me done cos it’s taken all my energy to type this out – grrr!!!

'I’ll post the PTW card tomorrow, fingers crossed, so I’ll see you then. Huggiest of hugs to all – but not too close cos I don’t want you catching this horrible lergy xxx

Never Too Old …..

Picture 005c copy

Hi there peeps and hope you are all OK today. It’s a bit grey and miserable here right now which is just what you want when you have to go and do a bit of Chrimbly shopping later (not!!)

Or maybe I’ll leave it until tomorrow!!

Anyhoos, over at Papertake Weekly  it’s the first one of the month and we have our usual

Anything Goes

theme with the option of adding something dangly.

There’s a a £10voucher up for grabs from those lovely Lili Of The Valley fairies, Lisa & Laila (thank you chicksies xxx)

Picture 001c copy

Now you can probably see that my dangly bit isn’t very dangly at all to be fair but anyway it’s sort of there.

I used one of the new LOTV releases here and this little sweetie is Never Too Old For A Hug – quite!!!

I gave her the old Copics treatment in these colours -

E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R20 (skin), E41, E42, E43, E50 (hair), B0000, B000, B00, B12, YG0000, YG00, YG03, W00. W1, W3, W5 (the rest).

Here’s a few piccies ….

Picture 004c copy

I thought that these fab star pins from The Ribbon Girl matched  the stars on her frock – aren't they pretty.  :)

Picture 008c copy

Picture 007c copy

The papers are from a First Edition 6 x 6 Up Up & Away paper pack which is available from Dies To Die For and the self adhesive pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts

 Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

So there’s me card all done for today.

I’ll be back tomoz with a bit more cardage so I’ll see you then and enjoy the rest of your day and if you get a sec, nip and have a moocho at the PTW girlies cards on the main challenge blog – they are FABBEROONIE!!

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Gifts For You :)

Picture 014c copy

Morning chicksies and hope that you are all OK today – it’s a bit grey and miserable here so I hope that you are having better weather where you are.

It's that time of the week when we head over to Papertake Weekly and see what the sweet DT have been up to and this week our challenge is

Creature Comforts.

So all you have to do is to include a little critter on your card somewhere and you will be in with a shout at winning this week’s prize which is sponsored by Wendy at

Digital Delights

Picture 010c copy

So no prizes for guessing that my lil animal would be something cute from  Lili Of The Valley and today I’ve used another of the new releases and this time I went for Christmas Bear’s Bird Table.

I did the Copics and Polychromos thing and these are the colours I used -

BG0000, BG01, BG15, BG49, C1, C3, E35, E41, E42, E43, E50, R17, R46, YG0000, YG03

The papers I used today are all from Dies To Die For and they are First Edition Christmas Joy – the colours are so pretty and these crappo pics a la Miss Piggy here do not do them justice at all.

Also no die border today – shock horror!!!!

I used one of the ‘old faithful but sadly forgotten now  have the Tilda Lace Dies’  border punches and this one is of course courtesy of Martha Stewart. Its the embossed zig zag punch and I really don't know if it’s still available but I do know that Tracy is having a sale on MS Border punches at the mo so nip and grab yourself a bargain sweet peeps – you can see them here.

Picture 013c copy

The snowflake die is Marianne Design Creatables - Snowflakes Style 1 who you can get from Dies To Die For as well and the little charm is one I made using a metal disc and glass cabochon from me jewellery stash :)

That pretty ribbon is  16mm sheer ruffle edge ribbon in Aqua and it is of course from  The Ribbon Girl – what a gorgeous colour..

Picture 011c copy

Picture 012c copy

So I’m done for today.

Is it me or has the world gone a little bit mad of late peeps?

I’m not meaning to have a rant, however I can feel one coming on lol!! I watched the news yesterday which was mainly about people breaking the law and being allowed to get away with it (sort of). Re the Dale Farm issue, I know it might not be politically correct to say this but if you and I broke the law or put up a house / dwelling / whatever on a piece of green belt land (whether we owned it or not), then I have a feeling that we might be in a spot of bother and at the very least have to remove it. Not so if you belong to the travelling community though. I have absolutely nothing at all against these people and if that is their lifestyle choice then who am I to argue.

But they really ought to stick to the rules I think.

I saw a lady being interviewed yesterday about this on This Morning  and she said that 20% of travellers were homeless. She was told that some council somewhere or other had offered them bricks and mortar property to live in but she said they couldn't live in houses because it was detrimental to their mental well being.

What??????

And when it was pointed out that if they were travellers, how comes they wanted to stay put in one place, she said that if you are born in China and then you come to live here, it doesn’t stop you being Chinese.

Now what can you say to that ????

It’s something quite close to us here at the moment because our ‘beloved’ council have allowed some of our beautiful green belt land to be converted into a permanent site for travellers. They released the proposals 2 days before you had to lodge your objection (can you smell the same rat as me??) and I don't think many of us in the village are happy about it.

Now if I wanted to go and buy some of this land to build my own home on, with money I had paid tax on etc etc I think I would be told to bugger off. Which is almost what I want to tell the council to do quite honestly. There was a meeting about it in the village but it seems that it is a done deal,  so that’s that.

When I worked for Castrol many years ago, a group of them set up camp opposite the building I worked in. Things started to go walkies which may or may not have been a coincidence  (you think???) and the mess that they left behind was so bad I cannot begin to tell you because it is disgusting.

OML I’ve just realised that while I have been ranting away, I've eaten nearly half a packet of McVities Caramel Digestives – what a snorter!!!!

I best go and out the few that are left away before they go as well :(

I’ll see you tomoz with some more cardage and until then, have the fabbiest of days and hugs to all xxx

Name That Tune :)

Picture 005c copy

Morning peeps and we are half way through the week so time to nip across the pond and see what’s happening with the Simon Says Stamp Challenge crew today.

We have a FAB theme for you and our challenge this week is to use a

SONG or FILM title as Inspiration

and the DT have been sooo creative with some clever choice of songs to match their work, so if you get a sec, nip and check it all out me darlins.

There is a voucher up for grabs …

… which you get to spend in the Simon Says Stamp Store

So, what did I do then???

Picture 001c copy

Well here’s the old card and the song I used is also the sentiment.

It’s Anyone For Tennis by Eric Clapton / Cream (and guess who is showing her age now ).

Wanna listen???

Yes, wouldn't that be nice indeed  :)

However I must confess that although I used to play several times a week many moons ago – it’s where I met my beloved and he was and still is awesome and sadly I was not – I hadn’t hit a ball for over 6 years until we went to Anglesey and I managed to hit a few with his Lordship. Kyla bless her was our ‘ball girl’ and she creased us as she kept crouching down at the side of the net like she has seen them do on the telly, bless her!!!

Attention to details is everything with that kid lol!!

And speaking of which, I better get back to the card instead of rambling on.

So I used Tennis Tilda – LOVE that image – and coloured her with these Copics -

E000, E00, E21, R11, R20 (skin), E35, E41, E42, E50 (hair), B0000,B000, B00, B02, C00, C1, C3, YG0000, YG01, YG03 (the rest).

Picture 004c copy

The papers used are First Edition Up Up  & Away 6 x 6 paper pack – gorgeous clean colours I think.  And the old faithful Tilda Lace Die has joined us once again (I cannot help it cos it’s so pretty).

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

And there we are done.

I’ll be back in the morning with another card to share and now I better get off and get some flippin’ work done, booo hisssss lol!!!

I don’t usually do this but thought I might enter this into a few challenges as it fits and they are –

Charisma Cardz – Inspired by A Song

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge  – Inspired By A Song

There’s lots of tunes about in the land of blog this week which is FAB :)

Have the fabbiest of days sweet peeps and hugs to all xxx
