Fathers’ Day / Edwin

There’s 2 fab prizes so if you haven’t already nip over and check it out when you get sec peeps :)

Picture 001 copy

So this is what I did.

I used Dangling Sea Edwin and the papers are fomo the Nitwits FQB Aye Aye Captain collection.

Another homage to Leann here with a bit of string!!!

I also added a bit of kraft card and a die cut made using a Spellbinders Lattice Motifs die

Picture 002 copy

I found the button in my stash and thought it would go nicely.

I ought to have stuck it on with some silicone glue rather than with a dimensional pad cos it looks a bit scruffy as it is. I’ll change it and I’ll also be sorting out the inside of the card cos this will be going on ebay soon as soon.

Picture 003 copy,

Right-oh it’s a real quickie to day but I’ll be back tomoz with some Papertake cardage.

Have a fab day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

It’s time to head on over to the Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge where our hostess with the mostess this week is Julie and this week’s theme is

This week, we have two wonderful sponsors -

All That Scraps with any C.C. Designs stamp set of the winners choice …

and ….

The Ribbon Girl with this terrific prize.

Well I LOVE buttons and bows – you probably did notice that  lol  and this  …

Picture 002c copy

… is what I did.

I used my new Tilda from this latest stamp release – not sure what she is called, sorry peeps - and I coloured her with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R20

Hair – E43, E47, E50, E81

The rest – B00, B39, B93, B95, B97, C00, C1, C3, C4, C7, R02, R05, R17, R27, R59

The papers, which I am LOVING, are from this fab collection ….

fqb_touroflondon_LRG

It’s the FQB Tour of London collection and it’s perfect for everything that is happening here this summer.

I also used papers from the

Tour of London Too - Digital Scrapbooking background papers

Tour of London Too collection and both are of course from Nitwits.

Picture 005c copy

The theme is Buttons & Bows and I did one of each lo!!!

The bow is made with 15mm Red No.15 Berisford Satin ribbon from The Ribbon Girl.

Picture 006c copy

An array of gorgeous bloomage from Wild Orchid Crafts

Picture 001c copy

I decorated the inside to match the front and I’ll be putting this card on my ebay site tomorrow.

Picture 003c copy

Picture 004c copy

So that’s it from me today.

I am a tad on the late side adding this cos it’s been one of those bitty days. You know, when you don't actually get much done but you never seem to stop. And ladyship is in residence so I am guessing where we are off for tea!!!  But I’ll be back tomoz and I’ll do my blast from the past as I didn't manage to get on here yesterday due to having to finish off a very big job which has been lurking for a week or so.

I’m going to Aintree in the afternoon to pick up some dies but it is a flying visit unfortunately – no time to stop and shop, cry cry. So I’ll see you before I head off.

Till them. have a great Friday evening and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Twisting My Melon Man!!!

   Picture 003c copy

Hi there lovely peeps and happy Saturday to y’all :)

I’m a day late with the old card because I had to take his Lordship for physio and it took longer than we thought and  then we got ‘Kyla’d’  so it all sort of went out of the window yesterday.

So anyway this is my card for this week’s Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge and this week our theme is

Springtime

We are sponsored today by the best ribbon gals in the biz and of course I mean …

.. so nip across and have a mooch if you get a sec :)

Picture 001c copy

So this is what I did.

I went for Spring colours and thought I’d do something different from my usual 6x6 and so I went for a twisted easel card. Well twisted was about right because they are the easiest peasiest cards in the word to make,  but I simply  cannot take a decent pic of them to save my life. By the end of it my lot were very nearly calling the cops because I was quite frankly incensed with it lol!!!

So apols lovely peeps  :(

I used Watercan Tilda and coloured her with these Copics -

Skin -  E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R20

Hair – E42, E43, E50, E81

The rest – C00, C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, G99, R85, RV0000, RV00, RV10, YG0000, YG00, YG03

The papers are all from Nitwits .

Picture 006c copy

I used a Magnolia Lovely Fence Die and chopped it up … like you do!!!

Picture 002c copy

The butterfly was made using 2 Memory Box dies.

The bottom layer is Darla Butterfly and the top is Vivienne Butterfly. They look nice together I think and these dies cut like a dream. All the dies here today are available from Simon Says Stamp.

The beautimous bow was made 38mm Pink/White Striped Grosgrain from The Ribbon Girl :)

Picture 004c copy

Ohh this pic is dreadful.

So much cloning going on in the background to hide the paper joins that it looks filthy, cry cry!! But hopefully you can see how it is all set up.

Like I said,  taking these pics really was twisting my melon and majorly!!! . So I thought that I’d share a bit of melon twisting  Happy Mondays with you seeing as it’s Saturday and the lovely Miss Marcea does her Music Saves My Soul thing today. So I’ll leave you with a very young Sean Ryder and if you get to about the third minute you’ll see a very young Bez  complete with shed loads of specs (why??? who knows – not even him I suspect!!) strutting his stuff.

I love Bez and I’ll let you into a little secret here …. many moons ago when I was a fair old bit younger than I am now, I used to do a very good Bez  impression when I’d had a few!!!!! Truly it must have been a sight to behold (not)!!

I tried to teach Kyla to do the freaky dance thing when she was about 2 but she just used to look at me like I was completely off my rocker :) Mmm well she may have had a point there!!

So enjoy the Mondays, even though it’s Saturday - at least we got the ‘happy’ bit right!!

See you next week  loveliest of peeps and have the best weekend.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxxx

Pea & Mint ….. or Minty Pea!!!!

Picture 006c copy

Hi there loveliest of peeps and hope you are all OK today.

Well what  fab response to our blog hop and the winners will be announced soon so keep your eyes peeled in case I was one of the blogs with a prize!!

So it’s our usual Friday trip over to the Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge and today our challenge is

Green

I could not decide whether to go for mint green or pea green …….. so I used both!!!

And ……

Picture 001c copy

… this is what I did.

Just for a change (no really, that wasn’t a sarky ‘just for a change’ …….  just for a change lol!!) I used a hAnglar & stAnglar image seeing as I have neglected my H&S stamps, and I coloured this sweetie with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R20

Hair – E41, E42, E43, E50, E81

The rest – BG0000, BG000, BG00, BG10, G99, YG0000, YG01, YG03

and the papers are from the Nitwits FQB - Bonnets 'n Bowties Collection.

Picture 005c copy

Just for a change – yes there’s the sarky bit – I used a Magnolia Doily Flower die  and topped it off with a rolled flower and added a couple of leaves made with the Martha Stewart BRANCH Craft Punch M230367 . And the new toy is out again which looks like it will be the next ‘just for a change’ thing lol!! It is of course the Martha Stewart PATP Deco Fan Shells punch :)

All of those items are available from Simon Says Stamp.

Picture 004c copy

A little bit of  prettiness from The Ribbon Girl here.

The bow is made using 15mm Aqua No 78 Berisford Satin ribbon and I added an Aqua Small Striped Button. Just peeking put there is some Aqua Tiny Ric Rac  – you can see it on the main pic a little better :)

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

Talking about The Ribbon Girl, our lovely Mary is 21 again – well she was yesterday, today she is 21 and a little bit more!!!. So she is having a bit of a birthday giveaway.

So who fancies winning  ……

… this beautimous fun, felt, flower-festooned bag of yumminess.

If you do – and who wouldn't – then pop over here and you can read all about it.

Righty –oh I best be off cos I am seriously up to me bits in it again. I’ll see you soon as soon (maybe sooner than you think???) but till then, have a fab Friday and an even fabbier weekend.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

What’s Happened To Her Hair??????

Picture 006c copy

Hi there peeps and Happy Friday to all xxx

Today over at the Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge, it’s the first one of the year and the turn of Team B

This week it’s our Special Monthly Challenge with the theme of

Anything Goes

and there is an option of  Happy New Year and/or use something new on your project.

There is a fabulous prize as well …..

of a Simon Says Stamp $25.00 voucher.

So …

Picture 001c copy

… I went for a new stamp.

I used one of the Tilda’s from the new collection. She is very sweet but I am not sure that I like her barnet like that. This maybe because I have bad memories of having a similar hair do when I was a teenager – more later!!!

So old curly Shirley here was coloured with Copics in these colours -

Skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, R11, R20

Hair - E35, E41, E42, E43, E50

Clothes etc - BV0000, BV000, BV00, BV02, BV04, E41, R11, R32, R85, RV0000, RV00, RV10, RV29, YG03, YG95

The papers are from the Oh The Possibilites Collection over at Nitwits

Picture 005c copy

I had a fiddle with the bloomage here and it’s a bit mix and match which I kind of like.

The main flower is for a Marianne Design Creatables die but I don’t know which one (doh!!) and this was topped with a rolled flower. Then I threaded a small ivory aster through a small paper flower and added some 5mm closed rosebuds - the asters and rosebuds are from Wild Orchid Crafts

I wrapped 2 lengths of 25mm white flat lace around the centre panel to make one really wide piece – you can’t really see it in this pic – and then wrapped a piece of  15mm Heliotrope No 7 Berisford Satin ribbon round to hide the join :)

Both ribbons are of course from Mary &Andrea over at The Ribbon Girl

Picture 002c copy

You’ll notice that the sewing machine was hauled out again but don’t worry sweet peeps cos  I will get bored of it soon lol!!!

The Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch which I got from Simon Says Stamp  was used because of a ‘happy accident’ in the corner.

It  wasn't the only ‘happy accident’ on this card – the image was matted onto some lilac card and I stitched the edges,  but made a cods of it so it was trimmed down  and now has no mat behind it nor any stitching!!!

That accident wasn’t happy at all :(

 Picture 003c copy

So there’s the old card done.

Now why I have got a bit of a downer on old Tilda’s frizz then?

Well, it’s because of these here ….

sa1085

… they are the Hair Bear Bunch,

When I was just into my teens, I had very long hair, past my bum, and I pestered my Mum to let me get it cut into a feather cut, which she reluctantly let me do (she cried when it was chopped off, aww). Anyway a year or so later it had grown a fair bit and I then decided that I wanted a curly perm – very Kevin Keegan!!!. And bless her, she let me have that as well. I liked it for about 10 seconds and realised it was a big mistake, but I brazened it out and went to school the next day feeling slightly concerned about what my friends would think. Well the girls were fine – they must have felt my pain, nay shame lol!! But the boys had a field day – they were so nasty and they kept calling me Hair Bear. I didn't know why, but then I went and found out and have to say that they were right – cry cry :(  I was the one on the left  btw lol!!)

Anyway I was mortified and ended up so unhappy with it that my poor Mum paid for me to get it straightened again (or relaxed as they called it!!). I will never forget sitting in that hairdressers for ages with this gunky stuff on my hair which smelled of depilatory, puke bluh!!!

So on that lovely note I’ll say toodle pip and see you soon if not sooner.

Have the fabbiest of weekends and hugs to all xxx

Distressed Piggy :)

+Picture 006c copy

Hi there peeps and hope you are all OK.

It was a busy weekend to say the least – 2 weddings (no funerals though lol!!)  so we are a bit behind, so I am doing the catch up thing.

So here’s  my card for last Friday’s challenge over at the Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge where our theme was

Distressing

Well those who know me will find it quite amusing that I did this challenge cos I don’t do distressing – cos it distresses me no end, being a clean white space kind of piggy!!

But a challenge is a challenge so I did it and …..

Picture 001c copy

… here’s the old card.

The sharp eyes among you may well notice something different here, apart from the distressing – I'll tell you at the end if you haven't guessed!!

As you can see, I went a bit mad and sanded practically everything with an edge on it  lol. I used a cute lil hAnglar girl and coloured hr with so many Copics but sadly lost the list when I was tidying up before we went away to the wedding – doh.

All I know is that like a bag of coloured sherbet, there are lots of E numbers :)

And a bit like my good self, all the papers are  Nitwits :)

Picture 004c copy

I used some of the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral dies ((calm yourself Kath!!) ) as well as some Wild Orchid Crafts blooms and self adhesive rhinestones.

And yes the good old Magnolia leaf and swirl has been dragged out again – poor old chap!!!.

Well it never really gets put away to be honest lol!!!

The leaves are courtesy of Martha S as well – they are made with a MS Frond leaf punch. The leaf punch, swirl and Sir Tim’s dies are all from Simon Says Stamp.

Picture 005c copy

That beeeeyoootiful lace is from the one and only Ribbon Girl an it’s 22mm cream fan Cluny lace.

Gorgeous!!

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

OK have you guessed what's different, apart from distressing the hell out of everything on it practically?

Well I used a cream card blank which I never ever do - but it just looked better than the usual stark white.

Wasn't very exciting was it chicks – soz!!!

Right on that note I'm off  to fight with my migraine and I’ll see you tomoz for a bit of Papertakey stuff!!

Enjoy your evening and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Back In The Pink :)

Picture 004c copy

Morning peeps and Happy Friday :)

No you aren't seeing things here – I’ve actually gone and done a Tilda with dark hair instead of her usual blonde lol!! This has nothing at all to do with my grey hair debate btw – I just fancied giving her a change, bless her.

So over at the Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge today we are sponsored by the lovely Mary & Andrea at The Ribbon Girl and just feast yer peepers on this prize ….

.. OMLife I drooled when I saw all that pink  - it’s awesome :))))

And this week we are hosted by the ever so talented Jane and she has done us a sketch ….

.. and here it is.

It’s fabulous and I really enjoyed working with it, thank you sweetie xxxx

So….

Picture 001c copy

.. here’s the old card.

I used Flower Girl Tilda  and coloured her with these Copics -

E000, E00, E21, R11, R20, E25, E29, E35, E51, E71, R85, RV0000, RV00

You can’t really see but her shoes have been Glossy Accented.

Did you notice btw that the Tilda Lace Die has a new friend? It’s the Magnolia Lovely Fence Die and it is indeed lovely I think, and both dies and Tilda were from Simon Says Stamp.

Picture 006c copy

The papers are from Nitwits again - I am really loving these right now (you probably noticed that!!)

The bow is made from 15mm shocking pink small check gingham ribbon which is from The Ribbon Girl and I added some Wild Orchid Crafts blooms as well as some white pearlescent head pins.

The butterfly pin is from my stash – I think it’s sooo pretty :)

Picture 007c copy

I'm not sure I’ve got this right here, but then again I never was much good at gardening :(

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

Right so I’m done for this week and we have a busy weekend ahead of us.

I have a class tomorrow morning and then we are taking her ladyship swimming (the card btw is actually for her as she is a flower girl at my niece’s wedding in 2 weeks time and she can’t wait!!!) Then we are doing the pizza and bowling thing before collapsing into bed no doubt exhausted. Where do these kids get their energy, that's what I want to know!!!

Sunday is looking like a day out on the bikes unless it rains and if the aforementioned energy has returned (well we are crocking on a bit now, bless us!!).

So enjoy your weekend and I’ll see you next week.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx
