A New Kit (and it's very pretty )

Hello lovelies - hope you are all OK.

So today I'm sharing a card I made for the launch of a brand new Tonic Studios kit - we are up to kit #42 now.

If you haven't seen these, they are a boxed kit which you can either buy with a monthly subscription or you can buy as a one off.

And each month you get dies, stamps, cardstock and some Nuvo goodies.

They go like hotcakes and are very popular.

So this month it's a Spring theme with a  pretty pink, gold, lemon and yellow colours

And this is one of my cards.

There's a verso edged die that can cut in or out of your card and all I did here is cut it into the white cardstock and trim the ends.

It's a stunning pattern and suitable for loads of occasions.

I added some Nuvo sequins which are also in the kit - you get 2 different coloured sequins in nice bottles :)

This month there's an embellishment pick up tool included in the kit which makes adding these a breeze.

I stamped the sentiment straight onto the yellow cardstock - easy peasy.

Add a bow and a little butterfly cut with one of the dies in the kit and there's a card which did not take very long at all to do.

Hope you like this and if this is something you want a mooch at, my affiliate links are listed below.

Take care and see you soon as soon and stay safe and well xxx

A Kit Full Of Cards :)

Hello lovelies - back again as promised and this time have a little rose gold and ivory number for you.

This was made using Tonic Studios Kit#39 (I LOVE the colours on this kit).

A bit of paper piecing and glitter - dead easy.

I think this sentiment would made a fabulous tag as well as for popping on your cards.

Here's a couple more cards I made with the kit -

A bit of bargello - a real stash buster.
I've done a YouTube vid which shows how to do this, plus a look at what's in the kit and some inspiration.

You can see it here -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62s2TyPYsdo&t=5s

A bit more bargello - this technique works with all sorts of bits of scrap card. You know, the ones we don't like to chuck out and think we will use again but never do!!

It's perfect for them :)

Right, I better go.
I'm working on something soooo cute which I'm dying to share but I can't just yet.

But all will be revealed very soon.

Take care, stay safe and well and hugs to all and I'll see you soon with another project  xxx

My affiliate links to the kit are below in case you want a gander.

A Brand New Kit - Ivory, Pink & Green Should Definitely Be Seen!!

Hello my lovely crafties and hope you are all OK and keeping safe and well.

I've got a rotten cold at the mo so I've been a bit AWOL these last few days. It is just a cold and nothing more sinister than that, but blimey, it makes you so paranoid the first time you cough or sneeze!!

So it's time for a brand new Tonic Studios kit and we are up to #39 now.  And I have to say that this one is super pretty and right up my street.

It's packed with loads of yumminess so if you get a sec, please check out my YouTube video. I'll go through what's in the kit, then I'll  show you some cards I made with the kit and finally I'll do a tutorial on how I put together one of the card.

You can find it here -

https://youtu.be/62s2TyPYsdo

I did a bit of snippety snipping with one of the die cuts to make this one - you don't always have to use all of the die do you.

And I paper pieced the flowers with a bit of card from the kit before adding some glitter to the centre bit of the flower.

The sentiment is one of the stamps in the kit. There is something in there for most occasions, even weddings - I kid you not.

I've put my affiliate links below to the full kit and also to the individual items in the kit. Not everybody wants to subscribe or to get the whole lot so if there's something that takes your fancy, you can find it below.

It's worth a little look.

So that's me for today.
Take care and  stay safe and well and I will see you soon.

Huggiest of hugs xxx

Merry Christmas–Ooooh Is It Too Early To Say That???

Good mooring my lovelies and by the time you are reading this, myself and my Nikkie should be on our merry way to the NEC for the Christmas Crafting show.

Anybody going?
Come and say hello if you are – I’ll be on the Crafty Devils stand with my Tonic goodies, including the amazing Kaleidoscope Box (my fave product of the year - I LOVE this)

So today I’m sharing another project I made with the Tonic Kit #2

And ….

… this is it.

You get a sample pot of Radiant Gold Gilding Flakes and a Nuvo Glue Pen to use with them.

So I splodged (technical term lol) some Nuvo Glue onto one of the Poinsettias in the kit and let it go tacky, then I literally just rubbed the gilding flakes in.

Ditto the holly leaves.

Very simple but quite effective I think.

I used the largest outside edge die to form the base card.
You’ll need to chop a little bit off of the bottom edge point so that it stands up but it creates a lovely shape I think.

So that’s my make for today and I promise I won’t leave it so long until next time.
<=>I have lots of samples from the shows to share so I better get them photographed and on here when I get back!!</br<=>

Until then, happy crafting and crafty hugs to all.

Kit 2–Faaaaabulous

Good morning lovelies – it’s been a while but I haven’t been slacking I promise!!

So what have I got to share today?
Well I’ve been having a play with the new Tonic Kit #2 and it is LUSH.
You know me and colour, well as soon as I opened the box I was hooked!! The reds and golds are beautiful so I thought I’d make a couple Christmas cards.

And this is the first one.

It’s such a simple card to put together and it’s got quite a contemporary twist with the 3 sentiments.
The only thing I added that wasn’t in the kit was the tartan ribbon.

I’m not sure you can see but I didn’t stick the sentiments all the way down – the right hand edges are left free.

The little holly leaves were cut from the smallest die and I coloured them with the pens that come with the set.

I love the different types of card that come in this kit – it’s so versatile because they all work well together.

You get …

1967e Traditional Christmas Layering Die Set

1967e Holly Season Stamp Set

9817e Speciality Papers - Red Berries

9828e Speciality Card - Golden Satin

9075e Weave Textured - Chilli Red

9442e Mirror Card - Gloss - Harvest Gold

9471e Mirror Card - Satin - Scarlet Organza

9500e Pearlescent Card - Majestic Gold

9944e Glitter Card - Ruby Ritz

1987e Handmade Flowers - Red Poinsettia

997n Mini Crystal Drop - Red Berry

995n Mini Crystal Drop - Woodland Green

313n Woodland Greens Alcohol Marker Pack (contains Bamboo Leaf, Pine Grove and Hunter Green pens)

988n Gilding Flakes Sample - Radiant Gold

204n Large Nuvo Glue Pen

114e Decoupage Scissors (Subscribers Only)

1977e Craft Kit Wallet

1978e A5 Ring Binder

That’s a LOT of kit for sure.

If you get a sec, stop by tomorrow and I’ll share the  second card I made, which involves a bit of gilding (oooerrr!!).

Till then, have a great day and happy crafting.

Hugs,

Dawny xx
