Three Little Pigs :)

Hi there lovely peeps and hope you are all OK today and enjoying your weekend :)

Now two posts in as many days???
I know, not like me at all but I am trying to turn over a new leaf and get back to being a more regular visitor to the land of Blog.

So today I thought I'd share a couple or three of the little carts that I made for Create & Craft (sorry I lied about the pigs lol). Everyone seems to like them and I know that some of you have been busy making these - I am totally thrilled about that, wooohoooo :)))))

If you have made any, please leave me a comment with a link to your blog so that I can come and have a nosey (thank you xx)

So here's the first one .....

 Picture-001w

.. and for this I used papers from a  Country Lady paper pad.

These papers are perfect for these carts because apart from being super pretty, they are just the right weight. Any thicker and they don't fold  and/or sit as well (and I've literally made hundreds of the little blighters over the years).

 Picture-001wheelsw

A bit of lace to go around the edge and plain and simple wheels with flowers for the centre. I used a 6 pointed flower punch and just snipped into the centre and stuck 2 petals together so that they had dimension.

And there's a whole lot of inkin' goin' on here - shock horror!!!!

 Picture-002w

Same on the top using a bigger punch with a smaller flower in the middle and a Memory Box Lavish Branch die to add a bit of greenery.
Like you do!!!

And now for something blue :)

 Picture-004w

Sorry for the fuzzies here - what a dreadful pic - but I'm still trying to get to grips with the new camera!!!

There's nothing quite like a bit of Beach Bliss and kraft card (Craftwork Cards is like no other - awesome stuff, the best I've used,  and you can see it here ).

 Picture-006w

Same idea with the flower and I made a little fringed middle bit using very expensive fringing scissors which I bought donkeys years ago and have never used, so a very good buy then (NOT!!).

Is it just me?????

 Picture-005w

I made the wheels using some good old Nesties and finished them off with the same punched flower but left flat and a bit of bling

And for the last one, time to get a bit festive .....

 Picture-008w

... and fuzzy again (so sorry!!)

This one was made using the beautimous Woodland Wishes papers (I sooo love this pad).

 Picture-011w

And is just added some Ivory Jute Mesh Ribbon, some red berries and a gorgeous Floribunda  Raspberry Ripple Rose, all from The Ribbon Girl. Plus a punched holly leaf and some Magnolia die cut leaves (soz I cannot remember what they are called and I'm too bone idle to get up off of my ass and go downstairs to look!!!).

So that's some of the carts I've made and please do let me know if you've made any cos I would love to see them, pleeeeze :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, I'll see ya soon and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Sweet As Candi :)

Hello possums and hope you are all OK today xxx (

It's that time of the week when we catch up with our friends in the US of A over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week our theme is

Anything Goes

This week the DT are showcasing Card Candi from Craftwork Cards.
You don't have to use them of course, but if you have them we would love to see them  :-)

As a special promotion Craftwork Cards are also providing this fabulous Card Candi box with an Alphabet stamp set which are the perfect size to stamp onto the Candi.

And as always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

… right here :)

THANK YOU Heidi & Simon Says Stamp & Craftwork Cards  xxx

So what did I do then?

Shades alert me darlins cos this bad boy is BRIGHT!!!!

web

See, I did warn ya :)

I went for something nice and cheery to match the yummy Polka Dots Citrus Burst Card Candi

So I used this paper which is from the  Echo Park Hello Summer collection.

Picture-005web

I wanted to do something a bit different with the Candi so I decided to make a flower.

These are ever so easy to do and to make them, this is what you do -

Punch out a 1" circle from scrap card.

Take your candi, bend in half and pinch one end together -  leave the other end open. Hopefully you can see what I mean from the pic

Using your glue gun (it's easier than tape or wet glue), and working from the outer edge, add a blob of glue to the back of the folded Candi near the unopened end and stick onto the  punched circle.

Go around the edge and work into the centre.

Simples!!!

And you could make bigger flowers than this by starting off with a bigger punched or die cut circle.
I think they look a bit Hydrangea-ish.

Picture-006web

I also used the Candi to create a scalloped edge here.

 Picture-003web

The leaves are made from an Impression Obsession Branch Die - I just chopped it up a bit :)

 Picture-004web

So that's the old card done for today and I'll be back soon as soon with a couple of sneakie peekies for you.

Have a lovely day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Bloomin’ Different – And a Nice Little Giveaway Too :)

Picture 006 copy

Hi there peeps and I hope you are all having a nice day today xxx

It's that time of the week when we head on over and catch up with the
Papertake Weekly gang and this week our theme is

Flower Power

… and quite simply all we want to see is a bloom of some description included on your card or project. This week we are sponsored by the Stamp Fairy.

So …

Picture 001 copy

… this is what I did.

There's no image today - instead, I used one of the Christmas Wreath Kits from Craftwork Cards which I got from the NEC at the weekend.

Julie had made some gorgeous samples and I just could not resist buying a kit or 3!!! They are really good value as you can get 3 wreaths out of each kit and they are very easy to make .

Instead of making one to hang up, I thought I would make one and use it as a topper.

Picture 002 copy

There are 96  gorgeous die- cut flowers, plus ribbons and chipboard wreaths in every kit and you simply layer them up and stick them onto the chipboard wreaths – as the meerkat would say, simples!!

I used a 6x6 card blank but I thought after (how flamin’ typical) that these would look really stunning on an 8x8 base.

Next time!!!!

Picture 003 copy

So that's my card done for today – oooh that was quick for me wasn’t it!!!

Time for a quick bit of waffle then :)

Did you all have a great time at the NEC at the weekend? I went  on Saturday with my Nicola and we met up with Kath and those  fabulous Ribbon Girl's Andrea and Mary. After our usual  catching up sesh in Wetherspoon's  - it’s practically the law - we went for a bit of retail therapy and I'm sure you'll see the results on here at some point in the future as well as today!!

On Sunday, Kyla took part in her 1st Remembrance Day parade, bless her.

She has been going to Beaver’s now for about 6 months and she loves it.  Her pack were included in the parade and they had to ‘march’. Well, I cannot tell you how excited she was. We walked alongside her and I alternated between having a lump in my throat and sniggering every time I looked at her. Her little head was held high and she swung her arms and marched along as if her life depended on it!!! We've taken her to the parade for a few years now and she knows roughly what it's about – or as much as a 6 year old can I guess!!. Thea slept right through it all – the  Sea Cadet band, the booming Seargent Major, the lot!!!!  They are both in residence tonight as Emma and Tim are off to see The Killers. Now if only Miss Thea will sleep right through the night in the same way, Emma will be very happy. Sadly I don't think it’s going to happen. She is like me and my Mum, she’s a little lark and wakes up quite early most mornings which Emma the night owl  just about loves (not!!!).

We’ve  had another mishap here – this time it was Richard. He stood on a high pressure steam vent at work and the steam went through his work boot and all over the top of his foot. How it got through the leather I don’t know but it’s very badly blistered and looks awful. The poor beggar -  I feel a bit sorry for him to be honest. He even had to cancel his game of tennis which is practically unheard of !!!!

Right I better go and do some work but before I go, I have a  little giveaway for you.  If you would  like one of the Christmas Wreath kits …..

13112012101132Wreath_Elegant copy

….this beautimous black and white Elegant kit here , then just leave your name with old Linky and I’ll get Mr Randomer to draw the winner next Tuesday :)

Have the fabbiest of days  and if you get a sec, nip over and have a moochie at the challenge.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Picture 006 copy

Hi there lovely peeps and hope you are all OK today :)

It’s time to sprinkle a bit of fairy dust and nip over and catch up with the Lili’s Little Fairies Challenge and today it’s all about

Spots Or Stripes

I couldn't decide which one to do, so I did both …..

 Picture 001 copy

… as you can see!!!

The stripes are on the paper and the spots are on the prezzie on the image.

And speaking of the image ….

Picture 005 copy

… here it is in close up.

It is of course the super sweet Delivering The Presents and I coloured it with the following Copics -

The papers I used today are from this ……

petalfreshdbl

Petal Fresh 8x8 paper pad from Lili Of The Valley– it’s gorgeous – and the card base is a Craftwork Cards  Elegant Square card blank.

I am loving these at the mo!!!

Picture 004 copy

Some Ribbon Girl pretties here.

The bow was made using Royal Peacock Seam Binding and I made a little topper using a 6mm White Pearl Flat Back which I glued onto a Diamante 11mm Round Spacer. There’s also some Cream Jute Mesh Ribbon and a couple of  White Hat Pins.

Picture 002 copy

The sentiment is from one of the new release and it’s set 35, Christmas Handwritten Phrases.

Picture 003 copy

So that’s the old card and now it’s time for my monthly gorgeous giveaway which has been very kindly donated by my lovely friends Mary & Andrea at The Ribbon Girl and this month we have a beautiful …..

071538-kit_blue

…. Blue Mini Ribbon Kit to give to one lucky winner.

If you fancy getting your mitts on that lovely kit, then all you have to do is to leave me a comment and then pop your name with Mr Linky. It’s that easy peasy :) I’ll announce the winner next Tuesday when I do me PTW card.

Right I better go. I am just taking Kyla to do a bit of shopping and then if we get time we are nipping in to see my aunt who is in hospital.

Have a fab day and I’ll see you soon if not sooner.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx
