Small But Perfectly Formed Tilda xxx

She's very small but verry sweet xx

I got her at the NEC earlier in the year from Mr Magnolia himself, and this is the first time she has seen ink - shame on me!!

She is a teeny tiny stamp and I think they were only selling them at the show - but don't quote me!!

Anyhoos, I thought I'd use her for this week's Papertake Weekly, which is one of me sketches. It's this one here -

It's also a bit special at PTW this week cos it is our first featured sponsor challenge. And our sponsor is none other than Simon Says Stamp!!! There is a $20 and free shipping voucher up for grabs so please don't miss it peeps cos Heidi has some fabulous stuff at her store.

And the fabulous DT girlies have done some brilliant stuff as always, so nip over and have a look if you get a sec. It's all good :))x

So this is my take on the sketch.
The mini image fitted it perfectly and I coloured it with PMs but no Glamour Dust tonight!!

It is a twinke-free zone lol xx

The papers are all PP - Little Fleurs and also Elegant Swirls and Mini Little Dots all in Pretty Pink (one of my fave PP shades).

The teeny pearls were from Creative Pastimes. They are having an open day this coming weekend cos it is their 6th birthday, so if you are in the area, pop in. There will be demos and all sorts going on.

Sadly I can't demo cos Emma is going to a wedding and she will be out all day and all night, so I am hooligan sitting!! There is no way on God's green earth that I am taking her with me. Too many little fingers and too much crafty stuff - not a good mix!!

The blooms were part of my prize from Simon Says Stamp and the buttons are American Crafts.

Big blooms ....

And little blooms.

And the delish ribbon is from the US.

And here's the funny angle.
A fair bit of dimension going on here.
It is actually for someone's birthday but I can't say who right now!!

Well hasn't it been hot!!

I can't really stand too much heat to be honest. I've got blue eyes and blonde hair (well it was before it went wishy washy grey and I went au L'Oreal), so I think I must have Viking blood somewhere, and they were used to cooler temps!!

There are fans going all over our house and it feels a bit like being in a wind tunnel, but at least we are fairly cool. Richard is insisting on salads - yuk, puke and bluh. It wasn't all bad however, cos he also insisted on the cherry pie which we bought at the Cheshire Show - Lime Pantry. If you've never had one, ohh you are missing a treat.

Here. have a butchers at this ...

You can buy them on line but they are a bit pricey to be honest, so we only have them when we go to things like the CS.

Mind you, if I remember rightly they were are the NEC!! The pastry is yum and the filling is yummier. Consequently, I am sitting here like a Buddha - except I'm not bald. I really must start (re-start) me diet again.

Thank God for comfy cotton pjs. The winceyette ones are strictly for winter months!!!

So on that blubbery note, I am off to do a bit more crafty stuff. I hope you are all having a fab night, and enjoying the tennis. What a match last night!!!

Stay cool and enjoy the fab weather xxxx

I'm Back xxx

Rather like a bad smell, I have come back lol xxx

This is my card for this week's Papertake Weekly
which is based on one of my sketcheroonies ........

So as per my previous post, today is my youngest's birthday, so happy birthday Emma xxxx I thought I would use the sketch and do her a card from Kyla .

Now there are a couple of rules for doing Emma's cards...

1) no Magnolias - she hates them (strange girl lol xx)

2) It has to be lilac

Soooo this is what I did.

Paper and sentiments are PP, natch cos I just loves it all, and the image is an oldish Sugar Nellies one which I still love loads. Of course, I used my Pro Markers and Glamour Dust to colour and highlight.

Hope ya likeeee xxx

We have been mad busy today. We did a load of food shopping including the rest of the stuff for crimbo dinner (but not the pud). Then we thought as we only had a little bit of family prezzie stuff left to do, we would go and have lunch in Chiquitos - a local Me-he-can, ariba lol xxxx.

So we did, and very nice it was!!!

But as we speak, Richard is still stuffed (he is such a greedy boy) and I am still feeling drained from the piddly tiddly glass of vino blanco I had. Why is it that one teeny tiny glass can make you sooooo sleepy if you drink it in the afternoon?

So we have done most of the wrapping - that is the royal 'we' by the way lol xxx The food is mostly done and there is just the stuffing and mince pies to make. One last trip to Sainos tomorra and that is it!!

Woohooooo!!!

And it was Kyla's nativity tonight, although I didn't go cos it's mine and Richard's turn tomorrow. My aunt and Emma and Nikkie went tonight and I was soo jealous. I am keeping my fingers crossed cos Kyla is starting to get a nasty cold and is not 100%, poor dink. I will be devastated if she is too poorly tomorrow and can't do it, but I guess it is one of those things. But even so, I might cry with disappointment.

I may well be back before the big day with some cardage but if I am not, or you aren't, have the most FAB Christmas and New Year. Thank you for all your lovely comments throughout the year - they have meant so much to me and I appreciate that you have taken the time to stop by xxxx

Here's to a fabulous and crafty 2009 peeps :))

Loads of love and hugs xxxxxx

Papertake Weekly xx

It soon comes round doesn't it!!
This weeks PTW challenge is based on one of my sketches and here it is ....I am sooo loving doing these sketches.

And here's my card ....
Papers are all PP and the image is Pollycrafts. I saw this on my friend and fellow PTW DT mate Kim's fabulous blog and I just had to get me one. I think this little elf is soo sweet. I wasnt sure if it was a boy elf or a girl elf (!!!!) - I dont suppose it really matters lol xx

The ric rac was in my stash and I coloured it with PMs and Glamour Dust. The snowflakes were done on the Cricut - Christmas Cheer I think!!

This Thursday, it is the Christmas Open Evening at Sycamore Garden Centre in Ellesmere Port, where Creative Pastimes is, and I am demo-ing the fabulous PMs, along with Nestabilities and Elzybells stamps. The last open evening was really good so if you are in the area, pop in :)). There will be food and drinkies and the fat lad in the red suit will be there as well. Maybe we can get him making a card or 2!! I hope I am feeling better by then cos I have been really grotty this last week - aching all over and feeling like lead - very strange. I have had a bit of a bad run recently - not sure why. Think it's probably a viral thing.

Never mind - hope you are all well and see you tomorrow if Mr Mojo sorts himself out - grrrrrr xxxx

Papertake Weekly - It's My 2nd Sketch xx

It's time for another challenge over at Papertake Weekly. I cannot believe how this week has flown!!!

I did another sketch for this challenge and here it is .....
This week there is also a fabbytastic prize up for grabs - wooohoooo - pop over to PTW and check it out but here's a clue... thanks Katharina, you lovely lady xxxxx And congratulations on your 1st Blogaversay xxxx

Anyway, here is my interpretation .....

I just 'heart' this image - it's one of my fave Tildas and it was a RAK (mmmwaaaah to my PTW team mate who sent me this - she knows who she is xx). I wanted to try and get her dress to look like leather or suede - hope Tilda isnt a Vegan lol xxx - it does sort of look suede-ey dont ya think??

I coloured it with my PMs and highlighted it with Glamour Dust. The bloom is from Poppicrafts and the sentiment is Funky Fairy. The papers are a freebie from the fabulous Retrodiva. Thanks Tracy xx I got them ages ago so the link will have gone now, but there is some gorgeous stuff there and you can buy access to the archives for a teeny tiny amount of wongaroonie xx

And now a very over-due thank you to the lovely Mrs Wonka for giving me this years ago. Well it wasnt really years ago but it was a while ago, so slaps to the pink pig (yet again) for not sorting it quicker!! Thank you for thinking of me darlin' - I love it and you are very kind xxx

While we are on the subject of Mrs W, she won last weeks PTW
prize, so well done to her xxx

But she is having a bit of a time of it at the mo cos her lovely cat Arthur has gone awol. I know how it feels cos one of my cat boys went missing years ago. One minute he was there playing with his brother, the next he had vanished. He never came back and the not knowing is just awful. I know I am a big softie where kids and animals are concerned - I can't help it - but I just wanted to say that I hope he comes back home soon xxx

Have the most wonderful of Monday evenings peeps. My new stamps arrived from Funky Kits this morning (awesome service) and I am just dying to have a fiddle. One may appear on here tomorrow :))))

Hugs xxxx

PTW and My First Sketch xx

It's Monday (well it was yesterday when I should've posted this lolxx) so that can only mean one thing!!

Time for another PTW challenge
.

Our lovely Katharina unfortunately isn't able to do our sketches any more so I offered to do them instead. Ohhh she is such a hard act to follow, as her sketches are just fabulous.

Thank you Katharina - I will miss your sketches for sure and if I am half as good at them as you, well then I will be happy xxx.

I have been having a dabble with sketches for a while but have never gone public with them, so this was a bit scary, seeing one of them 'out there' lol xxx
So here is the first one - hope ya likeeee :)

The fabulous DT girls have produced some stunning work and I just want to thank them for their encouragement and support - mmmmwwaaahhh xxxx

So, this is what I did with it.

Richard said he preferred this card to the pink pop up one from the last post which I was going to give to his Mum for her birthday, so this is the one she got instead.

I also did another one this week ...........

It looks so different using a square base card.

Papers: Nitwits Homespun Holiday collection and PP
Stamps: Alota (image, oh they are such nice stamps to work with), Hobby Art Stamps & Borders set (sentiment) and Tilda (Fall collection)
Beautiful Blooms: The ever so fabulous Poppicrafts.
Ribbon: was from the very depths of my stash, so I don't know where it came from (sorry).
Brads: Papermania and Kars
Bracket: Cricut George & Basic Shapes

The usual suspects are in there as well ie the MSBP and Glamour Dust
and all coloured with PMs.

Right, I am off for a blog hop - serious catching up to do. Sorry for being a bad blogger again, but there is this flippin credit crunch / recession / financial meltdown thingie going on - you may have heard lol xxx - so work is a bit mad at the mo.

Hope everyone is ok and I will try and do a bit better re my blog visits.

Love and hugs xxxxx
