Fab image – shame about the card Dawny!!!
Ohh boy did I struggle with this and I have to admit that the end result is not one I am particular happy with. But warts and all I am, and you can’t get it right every time I guess, so on here it goes!!!
So it’s my Friday card for the ever so fab Just Magnolia challenge and I have to say that the DT cards are stunning (apart from mine of course lol!!). Our challenge is 2 x 2 so we want to see things in pairs – 2 papers, 2 ribbons, 2 charms, 2 embellishments etc.
I think the old brain cells are that used to doing things in odd numbers that I sent them into some kind of meltdown trying to do equal numbers!!!
So this is what I did.
My recipe is -
2 papers (well one actually but it’s double sided lol !!),
2 ribbons,
6 blooms,
8 bits of bling,
one stamp but it has 2 images and
the sentiment has 2 words.
Phew!!!!!
I did the Copics thing but there’s no list soz chicks cos it went in the bin - the card very nearly joined it!!. I edged the image with a darker shade than I normally would and then went over it with Glamour Dust. You can just about see it in the top pic I think.
And of course Tracy at the wonderful Dies To Die For has a gorgeous stash of Copics just waiting for a new home!!!
The blooms are of course from Wild Orchid Crafts and they are the new poppies which went on sale yesterday but I used the red ones this time and dipped them in the glue pot and then into some Glamour Dust.
I did the same to the little roses as well.
The papers I used are SEI and I got these particular ones from Purple Butterfly Crafts which is my local craft shop (hello to Lesley and Sophia and the gang xxx).
Do you like the red trim down the sides(there’s 2 of them as well which I forgot to list before!)!.
Well that's the bit left over from …
…. using this Magnolia Old Swedish Lace die which I got from Crafts U Love
So that’s my card done.
I’m still ploughing through the work so I’m going to fly again. Have the fabbiest of Fridays and I'll see you tomoz with something which is a little on the seasonal side. Question is, which season???
Huggiest of hugs to all xx
