It’s A Revelation!!!!

Picture 003 copy

It’s almost changed my life!!!!

Now before you all think I’ve completely lost the plot, I’ll just explain. I do love my PMs (you probably noticed) and I love my new Copics as well, but they do have a tendency to bleed all over the place especially the Copics.

But I think I’ve found the answer.

It’s this fab card from Craftwork Cards.

I LOVE IT. The pens just glide over it and there’s hardly any bleeding. Awesome or what. I was using Southfield card before this but I’ll never use anything else now. I know I’m probably the last to catch on but if you haven't already tried it and you are a PM or Copics user, you will not believe the results.

Anyhoos, it’s Tuesday and I am sooo late getting this on here cos it’s been one if them days again, but we’re here now and it’s Papertake Weekly time again. We have a nice open theme this week and you can do anything you want for our challenge. There is a $25 gift voucher from Heidi over at Simon Says Stamp up for grabs plus a gorgeous selection of DT to feast your eyes on.

Picture 002 copy

And this is my card. I’ve used a Magnolia stamp I got from the NEC - how sweet – and the papers are MME from the loveliness that is Tracy at Dies To Die For

Picture 003bloom

The ribbon was form a box of chocs – how could you chuck it out when it is so pretty – and there’s Martha’s finest again. The gorge white rose is from those lovely peeps over at Wild Orchid Crafts

Picture 003paper

The pearls and bling were from The Hobby House – ohhh so lovely. I have one of their templates which I am dying to use … maybe later in the week!!

Picture 004 copy

And there’s a fair old bit of dimension as well which you can’t really see here but it is there, I promise you. So I am going to do something I have not done before and I’m entering it into this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge.

I’m on a real flyer today cos there is shed loads to do re work and then some bright spark decided to paint the kitchen. Yes it was me, I admit, so we have to start that shortly – grrr!!!!

So on that note, I’ll love you and leave you. See you soon and hugs to all xxxx

AFA + Some News :)

Picture 006 copy

Hi peeps and I hope that you are all having a very nice weekend.

I got back from the NEC last night, tired but happy cos I had a fab day. Didn't do much in the way of shopping, but there was lots of chatting and laughing. More in a sec.

As it’s Sunday, that means that it’s time for another Anyone For Anya challenge. Before I share with you, I have some news re the challenge. We’ve been thinking for a while that it might be nice to include some other images as well so that more peeps can join in. Well you probably know that I love the Emmas and Trevors and in fact all the CC Designs images. So I asked Christine and she said yes, we can include them as well. So thank you to her for this cos I know I'm not the only one who loves these sweet images. So you can now not only use your Anyas and TGF images but you can get your Swiss Pixies out as well (ooh matron!!)

So meanwhile, back at the challenge, as it’s the last one of the month, we always have a sketch.

And this week ……

sketch _8 copy[1] … it’s this one.

The Copics were out again plus one or 2 PMs (otherwise they’ll only have a hissy fit!!). Now I have to say that I have not the first clue what I’ve done to poor Anya’s face but she looks like she has Hives here. But warts and all I am (mainly warts lol xx) so here we are.

The ever so wonderful Tracy at Dies To Die For has a fab range of TGF images and also CC Designs as well as Copics a plenty :)

Picture 005 copy

Don't you just love lilac and lime together!!

ed

The papers are Nitwits and the gorgeous bloom is from Wild Orchid Crafts. And Martha’s Doily punch has put in an appearance as well.

Picture 007 copy Those little flat backed pearls were from The Hobby House and I got them yesterday. They were on offer so I bought loads -I expect they’ll be used quite a bit in the future.

Now onto yesterday.

Well the highlight for me was meeting up again with my cyber twin Mrs Kath. En and I had a terrible job keeping her under control and out of mischief and in the end we had to enlist the help of a couple of storm troopers who happened to be handy.

And thank God they were there cos there is no telling what might have happened otherwise ;)

Picture 003ed You see, she’s smiling here but 10 minutes before I took this pic, you would not believe what was going on!!! All I will say is God help Birmingham last night, although to be fair to her, there was nothing on the news this morning!!!!!!

But anyway calm and order was resumed and we got on with the job in hand, namely sitting in Wetherspoons and gabbing (you surely didn't think we were there to shop did you???).

I did do a bit of retail therapy but I have to say that I was fairly restrained, all things considered, and I didn’t get that much really. But I did get some card from Sue at Craftwork Cards (and thank you to her for she knows what xxx) and I’m dying to try it out so watch this space!! I paid Mr Magnolia a little visit and I went to see Bev at The Hobby House stand and just had to get some templates and pearls – the ones I used on this card.

And I managed to meet Lisa and Laila LOTV who are just the sweetest girls ever, and also Jayne Nesterenko who is also the sweetest. And how fab that I met Sarah at last who was demoing for Hotshot Crafts and my pickled onion pal, Christine Dark xxxx

And of course my wonderful blog buds, the sickeningly- gorgeous- but- she- is- so- sweet- with- it- that- I- just-can’t-dislike-her-and- love-her-to bits Marlene, Mummy Fairy Jacqui, Bevalicious, Kim queen-of-all-things-Magnolia P, Tab, Jo Monkey, Kim C, Linda, Lorraine, Sonia (thanks for the company on the train chick xxx), and last but by no means least, the loveliness that is En xxx

Girls, thank you for another fab day and I cannot wait until the next one and if I missed anyone out, please forgive me but I am still a tad tired from it all xxxx

So on that note, I’m off to sweep the floor and Hoover the bedrooms. I know I make it sound so glamorous and I suppose it is, but someone has to do it :(

Have the best day and hugs to all xxxx

What Do Ya Think About………

imageed

…. my first proper Copics attempt?

I don’t think it’s perfect by a long shot but it isn’t too bad, all things considered, and I just feel that me and these babies are gonna get on at some point. It isn’t a totally PM free zone because there is some ivory PM on there – does anybody know the Copic equivalent please chicksters cos I can’t seem to find it.

So one more day to go before the NEC ( wooohoooooo) but first things first cos it’s time for another Just Magnolia challenge. Ohh just think of all those Tildas sitting patiently in their baskets in sunny Brum just waiting or us all to descend lol xxx

I loved this image from the moment I clapped eyes on it because it reminds me so much of my Grandma and Granddad's wedding pic. Her dress was just like that but she wore a hat not a veil – well it was the roaring 20s after all!!!

Anyway, I digress yet again, naughty piggy, and our challenge this week is fab sketch by our Jane …

jane1[1] ….. here ya go.

And I thought I’d do something a little bit different…..

ed

…so I did a recess card as I thought the sketch was absolutely perfect for it. You can maybe just about see that the image is set back in a recess and the card actually looks like a picture frame.

So for the first time (but not the last lol xxx ) I am going to say that it was coloured with Copics and I added a bit of Diamond Stickles to various bits of Tilda’s frock and veil. The beautiful paper is from Tracy at Dies To Die For and it’s one of the new Bella Bella stacks which you can see here

bloomded

These gorgeous blooms are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I added a few diamond things – sorry I don't have a clue what they are called – which I got from the local floristry warehouse

charm1ed I raided the old jewellery box and found these charms. I don't know where they came from but they are really pretty and I added a bit of tulle, which I got from Crafts U Love, a curly bit of twine and a little ivory rose.

Picture 006 copyed

You can maybe see the recess a bit better here on the arty farty angle pic.

And that’s me card all done. If you get a sec, nip across and check out the awesome JM girlies work over at blog HQ. I’ll be seeing one or 2 of them tomorrow - woohhoo Bev and Jacqui - and I cannot wait. I am also meeting up with my cyber twin Mrs Kath and also En and hopefully loads of other fab bloglies. ‘Twill be fabulous.

Also today the sweetness and light of my life that is Kyla is back from her week at Centre Parcs today and it goes without saying that we’ve missed her loads. It will be lovely to see her little face again. So I’d better get on and get some work done!!

Have a great time if you are going to the NEC ( and also if you’re not!!) and see you Sunday if not before!!

Huggiest of hugs xxx

Very VERY Scary!!!

Picture 003 copy

Its funny what a couple of pens can do to a girl.

I treated meself recently to a set of Copics and the bad boys, and Richard are sulking. The PMs are sulking cos they feel abandoned and R is sulking cos he saw the price (don't feel too sorry for him though cos it was out of my birthday dosh lol xxx). he just doesn't get why I would want to blow it on some colouring pens and I'm sure he isn't the only one out there like that.

Me being me, I couldn’t get 1 or 2, oh no, I had to have a set and when they arrived I nearly peed with excitement when I saw them – sad I know :)   But the first time I tried them out, I very nearly threw them through the window.

Could I get my colouring right?

Not a chance.

BUT after a few goes, I am starting to get the hang of them but I am still a bit feared of them to be honest.

Do I prefer them to the bad boys?

Mmm, not sure yet but who says I can’t use both.

So I have and I now have a new dynamic duo which his all good cos you cannot have too many I don't think :)

So this is the first airing and just in time for another Papertake Weekly, which is one of me sketches ….

ptw _37[1]…. this one

Picture 001 copy And here’s what I did.

It does look a bit different to the usual colouring but I am still learning so please bear with me  peeps– hopefully I will; crack it some day soon.

I did a bit of masking with 3 of the new CC Designs images from the new Spring kit which Tracy now has in stock over at Dies To Die For (she also has a fab range of Copics as well as PMs) and the papers are the Wild Rose Studio paper stacks which Tracy also stocks

bloomThe flowers were all punched (well, they shouldn’t have laughed at my crap colouring lolxx) and I added a little bit of Wild Orchid Crafts magic to them here ….

Picture 003bloom

… and here as well.

Spot the MME papers peeps. Well, waste not want not as they say.

Picture 004 copy

And that’s me card done.

Do nip over and check out the other girlies’ fabulous creations if you get a sec cos they are fab as always. And you might see one or 2 changes happening on the main challenge blog as well – if I can get my 3 remaining brain cells into gear.

Have a great week and see you soon.

Mahoosive hugs xxxx

Eggstra Cute :)

Picture 004 copy Aww, I think she is just so sweet!!

She is called Snuggle and this is the first time I’ve used her. But I thought she would be fab for our challenge this week over at Anyone For Anya cos our theme is

Eggstra Special.

You can do an Easter card but if you want to do something that has a connection to Easter or just use an oval shape on your card then that’s fine.

So I used her as she is holding a bunny :)

Picture 002 copyed I coloured her in with my good old bad boy PMs and added a liberal sprinkling of Glamour Dust to bling her up a bit. And woohoo, the doily punch is back in action – so good I used it twice lol xxx You can get Snuggle, a fab selection of PMs and a MSBP all from Tracy at Dies To Die For – she is a one stop shop :)

The papers are once again from Nitwits and they are so fresh and clean looking – verrry pretty.

Picture 004ed I just had to do a close up of this. It’s one of the elements from the Nitwits Hoppy Hearts collection and I think it is soooo sweet.

Picture 004edit The tulle was from Crafts U Love  (hi to Sue xxx) and the pretty flower was from Wild Orchid Crafts (hi to Paul & crew!!)

Picture 005 copy

And that’s  the old cardage peeps!!!

I hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather we are having again. Apparently yesterday was the first day of Spring (officially) and it does feel like it at the mo. I missed going to Harrogate yesterday – gutted does not come close – but I am looking forward to going to the NEC soon, I hardly ever buy anything but it is just so nice to catch up with everyone and this year Mrs Kath is coming and I haven't seen her since this time last year and  so is En and I haven't seen her since the year before.  And I hope the usual gang will all be there as well. I’m going to let the train take the strain again this year cos it was so much easier than driving and far less stressful (for me and the other poor beggars whose paths I cross on the M6).

So if you are going as well, do get in touch and then we can all meet up and say howdy!!

Right, I am off to do a bit of shopping then I have to start all the prep for decorating the kitchen – grrrr. NOT my fave place to paint but it is starting to look a bit grubby so  needs must I suppose.

Have a fabulous Sunday and see you Tuesday if not before.

Hugs to all xxx

Springy Tilda

1 Hi peeps and hope everyone is OK.

The cold wet weather seems to have beggared off and it’s another gorgeous Spring morning here today. Once again I think the card matches it cos these colours are really clean and fresh. Do ya think that if I use really warm colours, next time, we’ll have a heatwave?

Nah, me neither lol xxx

So over at the ever so fab Just Magnolia challenge blog this week, our theme is easel cards. I have to say that I LOVE these cards cos they always look like they are difficult and take ages but they’re so not. The only prob is that I really do struggle to take pics of them – I’m never sure which angle looks best!!

But nip over and have a look at what the DT have done – as you’d expect there is a feast of fabulousness there plus we have a great sponsor as well cos All That Scraps have donated a CC Designs Set of YOUR choice :)

Picture 004 copy

So this is what I did and ‘scuse the wonky looking pic :(

I coloured Tilda with my fab PMs and added a teeny bit of bling. You can get shed loads of PMs from Tracy over at Dies To Die For as well as a whole heap of other fabulous goodies.

Now don’t faint but maybe, just maybe I am going to change what I colour with after speaking to Bev last night so watch this space!!!!

The papers are Nitwits – Hoppy Hearts – and I think they’re so pretty.

es

The lace and bloom are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I did the sentiment on the old PC which I have to say is being a tad silly again at the mo, so if you’ve been over to the Just Magnolia blog and didn't see this it’s cos I only just managed to get it uploaded and didn’t get it over to Bev in time.

Well it’s Friday and I think this last week seems to have gone really quickly. We are having Miss Kyla tonight so I can feel a baking sesh coming on lolxxx . I don’t know what she enjoys most, the baking or the eating the cakes bit after!!! Richard just hovers about waiting for any spare cake mix cos he likes it better than the actual cakes he says. It is a bit yummy but probably not that good for you sadly, but he doesn’t care!!!.

And I’m trying to sort out the details for getting over to Harrogate at some point but it is looking a bit unlikely at the mo. I will be gutted if I miss it as it is a really nice show so my trotters are firmly crossed!!!

So that’s me done today. Have a great Friday and see you Sunday if not tomorra and huggiest of hugs xxx

Fabulous xxx

ed1

Hi peeps and hope that everyone is OK.

What’s happened to the lovely weather today? Ooooh it is as grey and grey here and I’m sure we’ll have rain before the day’s out – grrr!!!

Well it’s time for another fabulous challenge with the Lili Of The Valley Challenge fairies :) and this week it’s sketch time ….

Image2_thumb[3][1] … and it’s this gorgeous one here.

Picture 001 copy

And speaking of gorgeous, what about that image!!! It’s one of the new LOTV images from the Busy Bears collection which will be released in April.

I did the usual PM and Glamour Dust thing and there’s one of Martha’s finest on there as well.

The papers are My Minds Eye – now there’s a shock!! – which are available from Tracy over at Dies To Die For and you can see them here.

ed

The beautiful blooms, lace and pins are from Wild Orchid Crafts – I am loving these so much. I sprinkled a bit of Glamour Dust over the blooms to make them sparkle. You should see the cat cos she was sitting under the table!!!

Picture 004 copy

And we have a dodgy angle pic again :)

And we have another flyer peeps cos I am up to me bits in it today. Have a fab day and I’ll see you tomoz with something a bit Tilda-ish.

Hugs to all xxx

Lilac & Lemon

edit

It’s another gorgeous Spring day and time for another challenge over at Papertake Weekly peeps xxx

This week it’s a colour challenge, lilac and lemon, and these are such pretty colours for this time of year I think. the PTW girls have done some gorgeous work to share – as always - so if you get a sec, nip over and check it all out  xxx

ed  So this is what I did.

I used one of the new Lili Of The Valley Spring Images and coloured it with me PMs which you can get from Tracy at Dies To Die For, as well as the ever so fab Martha’s doily punch. The papers are both from Pink Petticoat and there’s a bit of tulle on there. Not sure why I put that on now and to sure if I actually like it there, but there it is and there it’ll stay I guess lol xxx

Picture 004 copy

Now these I DO like.

It's more yumminess from Wild Orchid Crafts and I like them so much that I’ve put together a little package for this week’s winner cos I’m sponsoring the challenge, yeeehaaaa!!!!

There’s no dodgy angle pic today peeps cos I thought I’d change it on here a little bit. So that’s me done for today cos as always there is a mountain of paper on my desk which will not shift itself sadly, no matter how much I glare at it, so I better get to it.

Enjoy your day and see you soon with some more cardage to share and in the meantime, hugs to all xxx

Spring Fever

ed

Happy Mother’s Day to all the lovely Mum’s out there. It’s another beautiful Spring day here – hope it’s the same where you are :)

And it’s perfect for our challenge over at Anyone For Anya this week cos it’s Spring Fever. We want to see zingy colours or pretty blooms or whatever it is that puts you in mind of Spring.

As always, the DT have come up trumps and there’s some gorge work to share, so nip over and check it all out if you get a sec.

Picture 001 copy  So this is what I did.

It’s a card for Kyla to give to her Aunty Nikkie who is also her Godmother. I used Dahlia again cos I just love this image and it fits so well with so many challenges and as always, I coloured her with PMs and Glamour Dust.

The beautiful papers are the new paper stacks from Wild Rose Studio – I used Polka Dots again – and you can get them from Tracy over at Dies To Die For as well as Dahlia and a fab array of other TGF stamps, plus a whole heap of PMs :)

Picture 003ed

Now check out these blooms peeps. These are all from the very wonderful Wild Orchid Crafts as are the lace and pins (Caz chick, you have got me hooked on these – they are just awesome!!).  And as pretty as that lace looks here, IRL it is even nicer.

Picture 004 copy

So that’s me done for today. Emma is cooking lunch for everyone so we have a house full. I’m on a flyer cos I have to go and move all my card stuff (or card crap as the rest of the house call it – I cannot think what they mean lol xxx).

Have the best Mother’s day and I hope you all get spoiled rotten. I’ll see you back here sooner than soon and hugs to all xxx

Tilda & A Treat = Lotsa Pics xxx

Picture 003 copy Hi peeps and wooohooooo, it’s Friday. I have to admit that this is one of my fave days of the week cos it’s nearly the weekend and it's also time for another challenge over at Just Magnolia

This week we have a fabulous sketch by the one and only Bevalicious herself -

bev1[1] - and it's this one.

I LOVED working with this and I’ll use this layout again for sure.

just magnolia

And here’s what I did with it.

Tilda was coloured with my beloved PMs and I added a bit of bling here and there. I also used a bit of Glossy accents on her shoes so that they looked like patent leather – uber posh!!!!

Check out the inked edged – not like me but sometimes you just HAVE to do it :)

The beautiful papers are My Minds Eye – I just cannot stop using them at the mo – and the lace was lurking furtively in the ribbon heap. You can get these fabulous papers, PMs and Magnolias from the wonderful Tracy over at Dies To Die For.

bloom

And these blooms are just gorge – gardenias and roses!!! You can get these from Wild Orchid Crafts and they have an awesome selection and verrrry reasonable prices as well. And they are such nice people as well.

Picture 005 copy

So that’s me card.

Don’t forget to check out the challenge peeps – as if lol xx - cos as always there is a stunning array of cardage from the JM girlies, including our new teamie Dena xxx

Ohh and we are sponsored this week by 7 Kids College Fund – there’s a $20 voucher up for grabs :)

………………………………………..

Now I did mention a treat for ya …..

ed

… and it’s the sneakie peekie I told you about yesterday from Lili Of The Valley’s newest issue which will be out soon. If you want more sneakie peeks, then the other DT girlies have some for you as well – all just fab. I have to say that these images just keep getting better and better and I am just blown away by them, I really am.

Picture 001 copy Of course, we did the PM thing and of course we did the My Minds Eye papers again.

You can check out those papers here but sadly you’ll have to hang on a little while for the stamps. I just know that come release day, these are gonna be so popular and they will just fly off the shelves as the others have done.

Picture 003 copy

A little bit of Martha, a bit of twine and a couple of buttons plus LOADS of dimension and there you have it.

So that’s my pic-fect for today peeps. We are having Kyla for the weekend – yes they’ve moved out now, sob sob - so we are off to Parkgate for fish and chips tonight. I am hoping it’s going to brighten up cos my car whiffs for weeks after cos that’s where we eat them if it’s raining or cold. It isn’t pleasant as you can imagine!! But she loves doing it and it’s part of the ‘building memories’ thing which I think is so important. It’s funny but it’s the little things like that that seem to stay with you.

Then weather permitting, we are off to the zoo tomorrow. I hope that you have the best weekend peeps and I’ll see you soon if not sooner with some more piggy cards to share.

Hugs to all xxxx
