Patrotic Penny Black - Plus a Few Others xxx

Happy 4th July to all our bloggy buds in the US xxx
I hope you are having a fabulous day :)

Over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week, it is a colour challenge, and in honour of the American flag, they have chosen red, white and blue. Well what a fabulous combi !!!

I've also done combined this with 2 other challenges as well. Cute Card Thursday's challenge this week is A Stitch In Time, so there' s a bit of faux stitching on here, and finally, the layout is based on THE most fabulous sketch by Dawn over at ICS.

And here's my card.

This has got to be one of my fave PB images - I just love it. I coloured it with the old faithful bad boys and sprinkled it lovingly with a bit of Glamour Dust, as is my wont!!!

Ohh giant pic - not sure how that happened!! I really MUST learn to use Photoshop properly!!!

The red bloom is from Poppicrafts (check out the massive sale over there peeps xx) and the little blue one was part of a kit from Costco. That delish red gingham ribbon was part of my US parcel. I think it s gorgeous xxx

The papers are frpm the Wild Rose Studio Spring CD.

I always turn to this collection if I am ever struggling with papers as there is a Colour It Yourself section which is worth the price of the CD alone!!! So the butterfly paper was coloured with PMs to match the card and to pick up the butterflies from the image.

The teeny tiny buttons were in my button box - nopt sure where they came from though. Ohh check out the wonky 'stitching' here peeps.

So that's it.

It is slightly cooler here today, thankfully. We are baby sitting today cos Emma is at a wedding. It is a child free event (can't think for the life of me why they chose that lolxxx). So we have the honour of her ladyship!! So far she has been an absolute angel - and long may that continue.

She was 'helping' Richard clean out a couple of aviaries this morning and then unbeknown to me, he took her to B&Q to get some stuff - in her filthy clothes.

That is typical of men isn't it. Or is it just mine???

I was mortified when they came back. I did ask he saw anyone we knew and he says not, but if by chance he did and they are reading this, it was nowt to do with me, honestly!!

Well, best go and see what they are up to now.
Have the fabbiest of weekends and husg to all xxxx
