This week our challenge over at Papertake Weekly is My Favourite Things, so it was a good excuse to get out all the stuff I really love.
Having said that, I am a beggar for doing that anyway, but the difference here is that for once, it isn't food lol xx
So this is what I did.
I used a favourite technique of mine, which is masking, and of course, there was always going to be pink on it somewhere. And I used PMs and Glamour Dust (for a change!!)
Not surprisingly, I used PP papers, and what's that you can see peeping along the side edge of the image? Surely not a MSBP??? Well it had to be in there somewhere didn't it!!
The blooms are Simon Says Stamp (my fab prize xx) and the teeny little silk roses were some I had left over from last night's card club. Verrry pretty I think, and I got them from a warehouse near to me.
Lovely jubbly it is xxx.
Ohh it's all been a bit controversial hasn't it.
I have to say that all the yuk stuff aside, he was one of the greatest perfomers this world has ever seen. Cos he could really REALLY do it. I cannot make up my mind if he was guilty of all the things he was accused of, or if he was just a very naive and troubled soul who was searching vainly for a childhood he never had. Our house is divided over it, as no doubt others will be.
Isn't the weather better though!!! I tell ya, I was in serious danger of melting into a pool of lardy blubberiness lol xx It isn't attractive having a red shiny face and frizzy hair. So at last, the usual skintone has returned. Like a pot of Dulux paint, it is now it's usual white with a hint of blue!!!
Years ago, I got some of those pills that tan you without the sun. The problem was, that they tan everything - including snotty stuff and piddle (sorry, probably too much info there!!). Well when I say tan, it is really a lovely shade of orange cos the main ingredient is the same one that gives carrots their lovely colour. And it is a lovely colour - on a carrot!! Not on a human. You end up looking like a walking Jaffa.
Wish I had some pics to share!!!
So I stick with the old St Tropez. I saw something on You Tube about a fake tan you can get in Home & Bargain which is the same stuff as St Tropez but about £20 a bottle cheaper. I'm not brave enough to try it though. But if anyone has, pray tell if it works xxxx
And do please share yout false tan hints and tips girls.
Well I am off to have a read of one of my cards mags which came today. Dont forget to check out Papertake Weekly and share your fave stuff with us.
Enjoy what's left of your Tuesday xxxxx
That delish ribbon is one of the ones my lovely pal got me in the US. Under different circumstances I might have used a pink ribbon, but this is my fave, so in keeping with the challenge, I used this one.
Lovely jubbly it is xxx.
And of course there has to be a bit of dimension here.
NOT that you can tell from this pic cos dozy Dawny was not standing in the right place (nor was I concentrating) when I took it. That's cos one eye was on the telly watching Michael J's memorial service.

ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Dawny! I love the soft, pastel colors and your masking is fab!!
ReplyDeleteI was home from work today and watched the memorial myself. The saddest part out of the whole thing is what those three kids will now have to endure. The ugliness of custody battles and the media. God bless em.
Enjoy the rest of the week my friend!
