Love You Beary Much, Awwww

Hello lovelies - hope you are all OK.

So today I'm sharing another card which I made using products from the gorgeous Polkadoodles Hearts And Happiness collection.

Today we are using an image from Cutie Pie and it's the sweet little bear.

And this is what I made ....

I coloured him in using Copics in these colours -
Bear - RV00, RV10, W00, W0, W1, W3, W5, W7, W9
Hearts - RV00, RV10
Grounding - W0, W1, W3 + glitter!!

Another really easy peasy one to colour.

The papers I used are from the Hearts And Happiness 6x6 paper pack - they're rather yummy I have to say.

And I used the Love Heart Stencil and some Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to make the circle mat.  To be honest, Frayed Burlap woud have looked better but my ink pad had dried out, poor thing!!

Then, because I could not help myself, I added a bit of bling.

Both sentiments are in the stamp set.
I think he's a little sweetie.

So I've added my affiliate links below, just in case you want a nosey :)

And I'll love you and leave you on that note and I'll see you again soon xxx

Turtley Cute :)

Hello lovelies - hope you are all OK today.

How sweet are these turtles!!
They are from the new Polkadoodles Hearts & Happiness collection....

...  I just love them.

And this is what I made with them .....

It's such a sweet image and ever so easy to colour.

I used Copics and these are what I used -

Turtles - W00, W0, W1, W3, W5, W7, W9,
YG00, YG01, YG03, YG95
Hearts - RV00, RV10, RV13, RV14

I also added a bit of bling over the shell - you probably noticed lol.

The background was made using a stencil from the same collection -

I do love polka dots.
It's a really easy stencil to line up as well.
I like it a lot and I will be using it again for backgrounds.
It's a great way to make sure everything matches nicely and also it would look fab on a mixed media project.

I used Distress Oxide Ink in Peeled Paint to create the background -  I'd clean forgotten I had these inks.  Whilst looking for them I came across a brayer which I knew I had but couldn't find when I needed it, so it was a double happy whammy when I found both.

Here's some more pics -

The sentiment and heart banner are both from the stamp set.

So that's my card all done and hope you like it.
I've added my affiliate links for the stamp set and stencil below

I'll be back very soon with another bit of cardage to share so I'll see you then.
Take care and stay safe.

Hop To It :)

Hello crafty friends.
I'm sharing a card today which I made using the new Tonic Studios Showcase set.

This one here -

It's a whopper of a set -  you get 34 dies and 21 stamps and there's 36% off at the mo.

The thing I like about the set is that there's other things you can use it for, so it's for life and not just for Easter :)

And this is one of the cards I made with it  -

I used Nuvo Alcohol pens to colour everything in.

And the little beads on the grass are Prills - Tonic don't do them anymore which is a shame because I quite like them.

We have a green gingham bow today - I've given the black and white one a day off lol.

Mt favourite bit of the card - the cute little carrots.
I coloured them in and then I applied some Nuvo Crystal Glaze.

I think it makes them look so cute.

That's my little bunny card and I'll share more over the next few days.

I've popped the affiliate links below in case you want to nab one of these sets or have a look.

Also, I've done a YouTube video where you can see the dies and stamps in a bit more detail, plus some other samples I made with the set to give you a few more ideas hopefully. And there's a tutorial to put together a pop up card.

If you get a sec and want a mooch, you can se it here -

Right I'll be off then.
I'll see you tomorrow with another bit of cardage and until then,  take care and stay safe xx

No Place Like Gnome

Hello lovelies - hope we are all OK today and that nobody has been too badly affected by these dreadful floods.

So I'm sharing my sweet Polkadoodles Gnome Is Where The Heart Is card today - I think I mentioned it yesterday.

I cannot tell you how much I love these images :)
And I LOVE colouring them - I could do this all day.

I coloured her with quite a few Copics and then went over a few places with my polychromos pencils.
I actually remembered to write down the pens I used and they were -

Skin - E000, E00, E11, E13, E50 R00, R05
Clothes & shoes - C00, C0, C3, C4, C5, C9, R00, R05, R17, R27, R59
Flowers -  Y03, Y08
Plantpot -  E000, E13, YR00 YR20
Grass -  YG00, YG03, YG95
Grounding C00, C1

I might have got the colours mixed up for the plant pot - I'll have to check!!

I stamped out the heart from the set then coloured it with R27 and cut it out. Then I covered it with Tonic Studios Crystal Glaze before adding some Posca Pen dots.

I also gave her a Posca Pen polka dot hat and ribbons because I like her to match!!

That's rather good alliteration there!!
And you'll notice that the gingham ribbon is back :)
Didn't take long did it lol.

I stamped out the flowers then cut them out (badly - I am rubbish at cutting out)  and then doused them with glitter. I also added glitter to the flowers on the actual image.

I shouldn't have favourites, but ....

Right I better be off.
I'll be back tomorrow with some Easter goodies and some very bright and zingy colours.
I thought it would cheer us all up a bit.

I'll add my affiliate links below and I'll see you then.
Take care and stay safe and well xx

A Very Happy Accident (of sorts) - I LOVE This. And Not A Ribbon In Sight!!

Hello lovelies and hope you are all OK.

It's been a day of really bad weather here. Like REALLY bad.
The lane is flooding from both directions and guess where it meets?
 Right outside out house.

Luckily the house is on a bit of a slope which isn't great in the snow and ice but I guess it's handy if it floods. Oh hang on a sec, it's snowing as well!! Just as well we are all grounded!!

So anyway, I had a spare butterfly on my desk after the cards from the last 3 days.

I also had  a square of card which I was going to turn into a striped border to go behind the hedgie but I did it wrong and nearly chucked it but didn't.

So I die cut a circle and put the butterfly on it and tried it over the square.  I thought it looked nice.
But the circle was a bit plain.

I'd been colouring a sweet gnome from this set  ...

.. which is the Polkadoodles Gnome is Where The Heart Is set.
 Swooooon.
I'll share that card tomorrow.

I really like that spotty heart stamp so I made a little border and put it across the circle to break it up.

And as I had the Perfect Wishes stamps still out (I do put stuff away, honestly ... just not straight away), I used one of the sentiments from there

I also added three little bits of sparkle.
I was ever so pleased with how it turned out.
So it's a happy accident because if I hadn't made a mess of the square, or thrown it away, I wouldn't have made this card.

This card is a rare thing on 2 counts. -
1. It is actually for somebody and will be with them shortly.
2. It seems perfect for a bit of the old gingham bad boy, but I resisted the urge and I'm glad I did because it might have spoilt it

Right I better be off. I'll be back tomorrow with my gnome card.

I love them, I really do. and this one is a pleasure to colour.

So until then, stay safe and warm and dry and take care xxx

The Same But Different - but Still Verrrrry Cute Part 3 - Keeping it Simple :)

Hello lovelies and hope you are all OK today.

Well this is the last one of the trilogy!!
If you missed the other 2 you can see part 1 here and part 2 here.

So for my first card, I did a fancy layout with several papers and embellishments. For the second, I  used scrap papers and the  sentiment and embellishments.

Today, I'm still using the same Polkadoodles Butterfly Daisy paper, sentiment and image but I stripped it right back to basically just the one paper, image and sentiment.

And this ....

... is what I did.

Our sweet little hedgie was stamped using the Tim Holtz stamping platform and Tonic Studios Black Shadow hybrid ink. I also used Copics, but no pencils and glitter to ground him rather than the aqua shimmer pen.

I've put the images side by side here so you can see the difference ...

... and I'll grant you it's a very subtle difference.

But it's there.

I added polychromos pencils to the one on the left and there's more depth I think. Also, I used slightly warmer grey tones for the one on the left.

It's my personal preference to use the pencils on top of the pens when  I'm colouring.  I don't use them every time but I like the way they enhance the colouring.

And if you love the little hedgie but don't want to colour him yourself, you can get him all ready to go (see links at the bottom).

I think it's still pretty, even though it's a very simple layout.
I had a bit of a glitter fest here - you probably noticed.

The bow had to come back you'll notice.
But I'll give you a head's up re tomorrow's post.
It's black and white and a good match for my old gingham friend.

BUT  there is no ribbon whatsoever!!
I know, it's quite shocking lol.

So what did I learn from my little challenge?

Well, I learned that it's quite easy to get a few cards done with what is in front of you and staring you in the fizzog!!

I learned that the simplest of layouts can look nice - they don't all have to be fancy.

I learned not to chuck out strips of paper because you can get a nice card from them.

And I learned not to be so wasteful, both with time and also stash.

Will I do this again?
Yes I definitely will.

I am a beggar for either chucking stuff into my rooty-tooty scrap box and waiting until it's piled high then either giving it to our Thea who is a mini me when it comes to crafting - she has the bug for sure.  Or if not, I end up throwing it out, only to make room for the next lot which will no doubt share the same fate.

So I hope you enjoyed the last posts.
I'll be back tomorrow with another card - this is another one that I used what I had either in front of me or in the rooty-tooty scrap box - oh my life, it would seem that I am indeed a reformed character  :)

So I'll see you then - take care and stay safe and well and hugs to all xx

The Same But Different - but Still Verrrrry Cute Part 2 - Using The Scraps :)

Hello lovelies and as promised I'm back with part 2 (if you missed part 1, you can see it here) and this time I'm focusing more on the papers.

But we are still using the sweet butterfly and that beautiful sentient which has never seemed more appropriate than for these strange times we are living through.

It's a very simple card but I was happy with how it turned out, and especially as I nearly chucked those strips of paper in the bin!!.

They were left over from when I was trimming down the Butterfly Daisy papers for my card yesterday and they are literally glued down onto a piece of scrap card and trimmed. You could take it a bit further and ink the edges or even add stitching, real or faux, for more detail if you wanted.

It kind of feels a bit like a free card, because it all but made itself,  if you get my drift.

I'd already stamped the sentiment because I always do a couple!!

I just added my beloved gingham bow (just for a change lol) and ....

...  a butterfly from the Butterfly Trio set.
Then literally I just added some sparkly Tonic gems from my stash.

And there it is all done.

It might be just me but there's something really sweet about this card, even though it's quite plain.

So have a mooch in your stash and see if you have any strips laying about and see what you can do with them.  I know one  thing, I'll never again chuck them in the bin!!

Take care and I'll see you tomorrow with the last part, when that little hedgie will appear again. I'm quite smitten with him.

Take care and stay safe and well xxx
