Hi lovely peeps and a happy Thursday to everyone : )
The weekend is so close you can smell it – one more day to go, wooohooooo!!
It’s my turn to host the DTDF Cutey Crafts blog today and I’ve gone with a colour theme that is one of my all time faves, namely red, white and black.
It’s so striking I think.
So ….
… here’s my card.
The image I’ve used here is a Little Darlings Saturated Canary image and this one is Tilly
I coloured her with the following Copics -
Skin – E000, E00, E11, E13., R00, R02
Hair – C00, C0, C4, C5, C7, C10
The rest – C00, C0, C3, C4, C5, R02, R17, R27, R57
I also outlined the image with Glamour Dust – I like to do this because I think it really does make the image ‘pop’.
These GORGEOUS papers are Fancy Pants - The Good Life and I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad - Walnut Stain
I did a couple of rolled roses using the plain paper from the pad and also a Spellbinders Blooms Three flower as well.
The leaves are made using a Magnolia Doo Hickey Spruce Twig die.
And that sweet ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl – it’s 15mm Red No 15 Microdot Ribbon.
I am so getting me some more of this bad boy for Chrimbly!!!
I found a scrap of narrow organza ribbon in my stash and topped it with a Black Small Polka Spotty Button
The sentiment is from Lili of The Valley and it’s from my fave Sentiments to Fit Scroll set.
I used a couple of Cheery Lynn Dies - Francesca Border ….
... and the beautimous French Pastry Doily Die which you can just about see it this pic, and they are both from Dies To Die For.
So there we are all done.
My craft desk is looking faintly Christmassy!! From July onwards at our card club, one of the two projects we do, up until the last club of the year, will be for Christmas so that our ladies will have 6 different projects and ideas. So I’m working on that at the mo. It feels really weird when the sun is cracking the flags outside to be thinking about snow and ice lol!!
I may share something festive next week if I get my card club stuff done in time : )
I seem to also be in fiddling mode at the mo and sometimes it does send the old mojo off kilter a bit. Does anybody else find this or is it just me? I’ve just ordered some stuff which I never ever thought I would and which is about as far removed from my usual fairly cleanish style as you could get.
Wass goin’ on here then?????
I have no idea why I seem to be going off piste peeps but I hope I can get it all to work lol!!
Right, I better get back to the festive stuff.
Have the best day and see you soon.
Huggiest of hugs,
Dawny xx
