Hi there peeps and long time no speakie.
I have been ever so slightly unwell these last few weeks, putting it mildly, and have had about as much get up and go as a comatose sloth!!! But I am getting back to normal (ish!!) now and have at last managed to make a card, even though it took me almost 2 days. It doesn’t take long to get out of the swing of it does it. Anyway I would just like to say a quick thank you for your lovely emails and if I haven't replied, I will get around to it soon as soon.
Also hugest of thanks to the DT companies and team members for bearing with me these last few weeks. It has been a great help not to have had any pressure and it has been greatly appreciated.
OK so we starting to get back in the swing of the old card making malarky and today I am sharing the card I made for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Challenge (I am a day late but not a dollar short!!) and this week we want you to
Use 3 Papers
As always, the lovely Heidi is giving away a whopping …
… which one lucky winner will get to spend ….
… here :)
This week, the DT are showcasing CC Designs and The Greeting Farm images and there’s a GREAT variety of rubber stamps from both these companies availabe in the store so if you get a sec, nip over and check it all out.
So ….
.. this is what I did.
I used Party Time Lucy and coloured her with the following Copics -
Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R11, R20
Hair – E41, E42, E43, E50
Clothes etc - BG0000, BG01, BG10, BG15, R05, R17, R27, R59
The yummy papers are all from this kit ……
… which is the Echo Park Happy Days 12 x 12 kit
Oops, I should have made sure that the petal was lying a bit flatter ( what an amateur!!). The flower was made using the smallest of the Magnolia Doily Flower dies and I added a rolled flower and a bit of bling. And some things never change do they cos the good old Magnolia leaf and swirl die is still in favour it would seem.
A bit of printing and chopping here :)
.. and there you go - my first card in ages!!!
I did say that I would do an all our yesterdays blast from the past thing on a Thursday so here goes with this week’s pick to make you feel old (well some of us in any case!!).
It’s back to 1991 …..
… and I love love LOVE this one.
REM were the first band I ever took my Emma to see (Huddersfield 1995 - did anybody reading this go? I’d love to know if you did). It was a boiling hot day and The Beautiful South were on with them, as well as Echo Belly and Magna Pop who were not that good IMHO :( I could ramble on all night about it cos it was fab, but I better not cos you would be bored rigid lol!!.
So have a great evening whatever you are doing and it’s nice to be back in the land of Blog once again. I will be back tomorrow with the card that should have been on here today - I am running a day late but I will catch up soon for sure.
Take care and huggiest of hugs to all xxx
