Hi peeps and what a time I've had getting this and the PTW post on today.
Holy macaroni, the air has been blue I can tell you !!
For once the techie issues weren't down to me (haaahaaaaaa, in your face Blogger cos this time it WAS you!!!) so Papertake Weekly is now up and running and our theme this week is
Here Comes The Sun
Mmmm, a bit of a joke I know but I get the challenges sorted months in advance and I did up to the end of July back in January and I was probably living in hope. We did have sun yesterday but now it’s gone again :(
But there is some good news cos we have a fab prize for you as we are sponsored today by ….
…. and there is a special colour kit up for grabs :)
Delish!!
This card is also my other card for this month’s colour challenge over
which this month is Pink & Cream – double delish :)
And there is either a pink Ribbon Kit or a cream/white Ribbon Kit …
.. PLUS ….
.. to be won so do nip and check it all out sweet peeps of you get a sec :)
I know I shouldn’t single anyone out cos all the creations are just fab but go and see what Gail did.
I am still drooling lol!!
Well I never have to be asked twice to do pink lol so this is what I did.
Now you know the dope bit in the title?
Well as you know it wasn't a technical thing. No I went even better than that!!
I had a lovely email from Irena who said that she loved the stuff on here cos she is a ‘pink’ fan as well., which was really nice of her. And she asked me where I got my RV85 Copic from as she couldn’t find one.
Well no poor girl, she wouldn’t ………….. cos there isn’t one.
So on most of the ‘pink’ posts I’ve done (where I have managed not to chuck away the list), where I’ve said that I’ve used RV85? It’s actually R85 – ooooh what plank!!
So hugest of thanks to Irena and I hope that nobody else had been furtling around trying to find the non –existent colour.
Sorry chicksies xxx
So the colours I used here are -
E00, E000, E21 (skin), E41, E42, E52 (hair), R85, RV0000, RV000, RV00, RV10 (clothes etc)
plus some polychromos here and there as well.
I used the Magnolia leaf and swirl die again – this is going to be a firm fave of mine – and some pretty blooms from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Here’s another view of them, and the Pink Petticoat paper.
The bow is cream seam binding and there is some 18mm cotton zig zag lace as well and both of these are from The Ribbon Girl
Right I’ve waffled enough so I’m off to finish off me work then have a think about what to have for dinner.
I’ll leave you with this …..
… sneakie peekie of tomorrow’s cardage and see you back here then.
Have a great evening and hugs to all xxx

I am ashamed to say that I very rarely have the time to comment on other teams' creations as I'm so busy with my own DT work, but I just had to come over here and say how much I love this card. I too love pink, but I really love the shape and layout of this card, the way that the image pops up above the main card. Did you buy the card blank or make it? If you made it, what did you use for the scalloped edge? It is absolutely stunning Dawny, and although I love all your work, this one has really caught my eye. Thanks so much for the great inspiration. Annette xx
ReplyDeleteI had to comment on this as I think it is gorgeous! The colouring is great as always but I also love the shaped carda nd the faux stitching. Wish I knew you in person as I would ask you for this card for my birthday - lol!!!
