Hi chicks and hope all is well in your world today xxx
The weekend is almost here – woohoooo – and it’s time to check in with the Lili Of The Valley Thursday challenge girls and we have the sweetest theme for you this week cos it’s
I Believe in Fairies
So all you need to do is to make a card or project featuring one of the LOTV sweet lil fairy peeps and this …..
… could be yours :)
I did have a dilemma as there are so many of the sweeties to choose from but in the end I went for Pom Pom as she is just totally gorgeous.
I stopped by Mummy Fairy’s (Jacqui) blog and saw she had been trying the clean and simple card thing and her card was as fab as always so she inspired me to have a go as well. It is sort of back to my old style cos they all used to be like this once upon a time :)
So lil Pom Pom was coloured with these Copic bad boys ……
E00, E21, R11 (skin), E41, E50 (hair), C1, C3, C5, E40, RV0000, RV000, RV00, RV85 Clothes etc)
and then I dabbed some Diamond Stickles on her frock. I love the way it sort of looks like gold netting.
And seeing as I went back to my roots, the papers are all Pink Petticoat :)
Now I made a discovery while doing this card (you may already have sussed this but it’s clean and simple by nature as well as the card it seems!!!!)
See the blue pelmet bit on the top?
Then see this Tim Holtz Sizzix Die ORNATE On The Edge Alterations die here ( you can get it from Simon Says Stamp).
Well if you put your card on top of the die so that it covers the whole die and then run it through your machine, that’s the shape you end up with – the negative if you like. I found it by accident as I went to cut the bit that I used on the bottom edge of the card..
… this bit here (which is the positive).
I kind of like it actually and will use it again I’m sure :)
I did the rolled up flower thing and then dabbed a bit more Diamond Stickles on them. They look a bit messy here but IRL they are fine :)
Last but but no means least, the self adhesive rhinestones and pearl sprays are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the gorge organza spotty ribbon is from the fabulous Mary & Andrea over at The Ribbon Girl - you can see it here
So I’m done for today but before I go I’ll leave you with a little question.
What’s pink, round, pretty and sweet?
Here’s a clue ….
I’ll tell you all about it tomoz so till then, have the fabbiest of days and hugs to all xxx
Very nice flowers on the corner) Love this card))
