Cracking Up!!!

 image

No not me – although I have to say I am almost there!!

It’s Friday and not only is the weekend almost here, but we are off for a few days break and I am so looking forward to it. But before I go, just time for a fabulous challenge with the Just Magnolia girls and it’s our special monthly challenge sponsored by the ever so wonderful Heidi.

The technique we used this month is Cracked Glass and for those that want to give the technique a try there is a fab tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers as well as a lot of You Tube videos. I have to confess that this is the first time I’ve tried this. If you don't fancy it, we have decided to have a little change on how we run our Special Monthly Challenges.  We want to inject a bit of fun into it (and make life easier for us all) so from this challenge onwards we are going to set the Special Monthly challenges as "Anything Goes".

So girlies, it’s up to you.

The DT cards as always are a feast for sore eyes so nip and have a mooch if you get a sec – there’s lots of ideas there for inspiration :)

Now I did say yesterday that mine is very different for me and so it is!!!

For a start there is no white card base – I used Pink Petticoat Kraft card instead and I quite like how it all turned out. And there is a fair bit of inking of the edges going on as well!! Some things stay the same though and this Tilda from one of the older collections was coloured in Copics in these colours -

E0000, E00, E08, E11, E21, E31, E33,  E35, E42, E50, E57,  R11, R20

and of course these are available for Dies To Die For.

I have to confess that the paper is a scrap I found in my 12 x 12 box and sods law, the bit  that is left has no details on it, but I’ll find out and get back to you.

bloom

The blooms are Marianne Designs Creatable - Flowers Style 3. I actually wanted to use one of the new Magnolia doily flowers but try and I might, I cannot get my trotters on a die for love nor money. But these are a very acceptable alternative I think (and they are a fair bit cheaper!!). These are now back in stock over at Dies To Die For.

The smaller flowers are just punched ones :)

det

The hearts were done on the Cricut using kraft card and coredination card which was then run through the Cuttlebug. Those lovely swirls are from the same set as the flowers and the black self adhesive pearls are of course from Wild Orchid Crafts.

So that’s me done for today.

Have a great weekend and I’ll see you soon if not sooner and hugs to all xxx
