Eyes Down Peeps :)

Hi there sweet peeps and hope you are all OK today.

It’s that time of the week when we nip over to the jolly old US of A and catch up with our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and this week we are having a game of Bingo and this ...

… is the card to use.

This week, the DT have all featured Memory Box  products but of course you don't have to use them to join in. But we would love to see them used if you have any.

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

…right here.

So …..

Picture 001 copy

… this is what I did and I went for the central horizontal line.

I used Tilda With A Gift For You which is from the Autumn Collection Falling Leaves 2012 collection.

Picture 006 copy

I coloured her with the following Copics -

Skin – E0000, E000, E00, E11, R00, R02

Hair – E31, E33, E34, E35, E39, E50

The rest – E43, E50, R85, RV0000, RV000, RV00

And I added some glitter, as I usually do :)

The image is stamped onto a Spellbinders Floral Ovals Nestabilities die btw.

*Bazzill AVALON 6 x 6 Paper Multi-Pack

The paper is from the Bazzill AVALON 6 x 6 Paper Multi-Pack – love these papers because they have a nice texture to them and the colours are so clean and bright.

Picture 004 copy

The border is made from a  Memory Box pearl lace die and the sentiment is printed onto SAFMAT Self-Adhesive Printing Film. IRL you cannot see where it is stuck down but in pics, it always seems to show up.

I blame the photographer personally!!!!

Picture 005 copy

And speaking of which, sod’s law that this pic isn’t exactly fab, but I hope that you can see what I’ve done here.

The beautimous flowers are Prima Gillian Silk Flowers -  Raspberry with Glitter and they are almost too pretty to use - this photo does not do them justice.

Picture 001 copy

You can maybe see them a bit better on this one -  they really are some of the prettiest blooms I’ve seen (and they don’t break the bank either!!)..

I also used a Memory Box Delicate Fern die and chopped bits off of it and used it as foliage.

Picture 002 copy

Picture 003 copy

It’s a bit of a plain card inasmuch as it isn't exactly laden down on the embellies  or papers front. But I really like how the little arrangement turned out and think that if I added any more, it would  have spoiled it.

Right on that note, I’m off to get some more work done and then we are off to see Emma and the dinks – they are back from Spain – hurrrrayyyyyyyyy :)))) I cannot wait to give them both the biggest hugs and squishes ever. R has been playing it down and saying that he has enjoyed the peace and quiet  but he admitted last night that he has missed them dreadfully, especially our Kyla who follows him around everywhere he goes.

They have a very special bond those two and he didn't fool me for one second with all his bluster. So before long it will be back to Dancing Queen on the Wii, playing shop and school – she is always the teacher - and her latest which is playing Next Directory!! You have to order things from her and she finds them in the catalogue!! She does have lots of toys to play with (honestly she does!!!) but this is her latest craze!!

Ohh I cannot wait !!

See you soon if not sooner and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Picture 007 copy

Hi there lovely peeps and hope you are all OK today :)

Over at Papertake Weekly today, it’s time for our monthly

Anything Goes

As always we have an optional extra for you and this month it is to use felt somewhere on your card or project. But of course you don’t HAVE to – it’s there only as an option

As always we are sponsored by Lisa & Laila over at

Lili of The Valley

and they have given us a …

… to give to one lucky winner.

Hugest of thanks for a fabulous prize :)xxx

So …

Picture 001 copy

… here’s me card and it’s also a bit of a sneaky peekie cos this little cutie will be out in rubber very soon.

He’s called

Pup’s Christmas Stocking

and he’s one of the brand new release which will be out on 22nd August (not too much longer to wait now).

I gave him the Copics treatment and these are the colours I used – E09, E31, E34, E35, E39, E40, E42, E42, E43, E50, E51. E53, E81, G99, R05, R17, R27, R59, YG0000, YG00, YG03, YG63

The papers are all from the Wild Rose Studio Traditional Christmas paper pack – nice and bright and zingy which is just how I like ‘em!!!

Picture 004 copy

Some beauties here from The Ribbon Girl.

A bow made from 15mm Red No.15 Berisford Satin ribbon and topped off with some natural button twine and a Pale Lime Green Small Polka Dot Spotty Button.

I also used some gorgeous 30mm Cream Zig Zag Cotton Lace …. and then went and covered most of it up, being the dope that I am!!!!

Picture 006 copy

A greeting printed onto some SAFMAT Self-Adhesive Printing Film and then popped onto some kraft card.

Why is it that when kraft card was really big, I didn’t like it and now it’s not quite as popular, I am loving it????

Picture 002 copy

Picture 003 copy

So there’s the old card done and if you get a sec peeps, nip over and check out the challenge.

I am busy doing my prep for this forthcoming weekend over at the LOTV shop.

summeropenday.gif

My classes are now all fully booked and hugest of thanks to everyone who is partaking – I cannot wait to see you all  :) xxx

I THINK  there may be one or two spaces on Bev’s (and it is literally one or two) so if you haven’t booked and you want to do so, best get in fast before those precious places go. The shop really is a nice place to be – chock full of lots of pretty things -  and it is good for the creative part of the soul  as well. I tell you peeps, the old mojo is well and truly revved up when I’ve been there.

AND if that wasn’t all, you can now get your mitts on the brand new 8x8 paper packs which are exclusive to LOTV.

Some are by Nitwits, some have been designed by our Laila and all are fabulous. They will be on sale on the website soon and will sell at £7.50 which is amazing VFM peeps. Mine arrived here today and I haven’t stopped drooling yet (yes I know that is quite normal for me in my advanced years but it’s even worse now !!).  So if you are coming along to the shop, you will be able to bag yourselves some to take home :)

Right I better go and start my list of jobs.

Have the bestest day and see you back here tomoz.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Pink & Pretty (Just For A Change!!)

Morning lovely peeps and hope you are all OK and having a nice weekend. At least the weather seems to have behaved itself and the sun  is actually out bright and early here today. Not sure if it will last though?

As  it’s the first Sunday of the month, it’s time to catch up with what’s happening over at

The Ribbon Girl Blog

and our challenge this month is actually a bingo challenge ….

… and here is your card :)

There are 2 fab prizes up for grabs.

Firstly, a £10 gift voucher to spend in The Ribbon Girl Shop …

and there’s also a Lili of The Valley stamp of your choice as well :) …..

2 verrry good reasons indeedy to play along don’tchya think sweet peeps xxx

So, what did el Piggy do?

Well I know that nobody likes a show off, but …

 Picture 001 copy

… I did ‘em all!!!

I sort of set myself a challenge to see if I could and I think I just about managed it!!!

Picture 004 copy

The cute lil image is Snow Queen from Lili of The Valley and I used the following Copics -

Skin – E0000, E000, E00, E11, R00, R02

Hair – E15, E31, E33, E34, E35, E29

The rest – N0, C2, E50, RV0000, RV000, RV00, R85, Y21. Y28, Y38

Just for a change I’ve made a shopping list at the end of the post with pics of all the products I’ve used and they are all hyperlinked to take you straight to the right places :)

In the meantime, here’s some more pics for you.

Picture 003 copy

A button, bow, twine and charm.

Picture 005 copy

2 pretty blooms and a die cut  which I chopped down!!

  Picture 006 copy

Lace, ribbon and some pretty pink sugar and spice pearls

Picture 007 copy

A perfect sentiment and a couple more die cuts!!!
I know these are ferns but I think they look fab for Christmas cards as well.

Picture 008 copy

Picture 002 copy

So that’s what I did.

I wasn’t too unpleased with how it turned out but I wish I could take better pics when I do a base card other than the usual 6 x 6. I never seem to get it quite right!!!

Here’s what I used -

From The Ribbon Girl -

170439-mini-makes-pink       215801-ivory        163415-sugar-and-spice-pearls

215923-pinkcherryblossom             105106-Diamante-Daisies

From Nitwits -

         fqb_mrandmrs_LRG

From Which Craft -

From Simon Says Stamp -

        MBdelicatefern98341

And last but by no means least, the sentiment is from the Pink Petticoat Heartfelt Christmas Sentiments collection (sorry there wasn't a pic ).

Did you all watch the Olympics last night? I tell you, I was nearly hoarse from cheering on Mo Farrah - that last lap was beyond exciting. Makes you proud to be British and isn’t Mo a nice man. Hugest congrats to our athletes – what an amazing night it was.

It topped off a very nice day yesterday.

I’d gotten Richard a driving experience day for his birthday last year so we went there first, and he really enjoyed it but at least we know now that if we ever win the lottery, we won’t be buying a Ferrari (unless Tom Selleck – drool drool - is included and then I will have  to have one just to look at) !! Apparently they are tricky beggars to drive – funny gears by all accounts!!   Then we went out for a nice late-ish lunch before getting back home and just flopping on the couch and watching the telly with a Bulmer's Red Cider (Rich, who doesn't normally drink ) and a glass of chilled vino (moi, who normally does)!!.

Not long now before my little sausages are back and I am missing them so much, and Emma sent me this pic of the baby yesterday in her sun hat …..

thea in spain

…awww bless her little heart.

One eye looks like it’s going to close but she still looks sweet (I know I am biased). She’s nearly 10 weeks old now  and she’s all chubby cheeks and hair (you can’t see the hair cos of the hat but she hasn't lost any). And Kyla is such a lovely big sister to her – there has been no jealousy and considering she has been on her own for 6 years she has coped really well with the little interloper. I am so proud of that kid.

So on that doting soppy granny note,  I am off to finish off the colouring for the next lot of LOTV sneak peeks ( they are just adorable) and also finish the prep for my classes at the LOTV open day next Saturday.

Enjoy your Sunday whatever you are doing and if you get a sec, nip over and check out the challenge because the DT cards are amazing. I am so honoured to work with such talent, I can tell you.

I’ll see you in the week so until then, huggiest of hugs to all xxx

I Quite Like This One!!!!

Hi there peeps and hope you are all OK today. Please excuse the very drab and uninspiring post title but I could not for the life of me think what to call this today!! Suffice to say that I made a card that I quite liked – that’s it really (sad isn't it!!)

It’s that time of the week when we nip over to the jolly old US of A and catch up with our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge

Before I get to the old cardio, just a quickie to let you know that we are running our annual  Children's Holiday Challenge  ….

…. and we already have some truly wonderful masterpieces,  so if you  know any crafty little bods ages 2-16 years old, why not get them to enter (Kyla you are NOT using my Copics!!)  It’s an Anything Goes theme so they can really get creative, and we would love to see what the little sausages do. PLUS there are 2 fabulous prizes up for grabs :). If you click the pic above it will take you to the right place on the website or you can read all about it here.

Right onto our challenge this week which is

KRISTINA'S INSPIRATION

This is a photo which has been done by Simon Says Stamp's very own Kristina Werner.
Kristina is super inspiring, sweet as can be and uber talented and she is the one who gets to choose what goes into the
Monthly Card Kits that Simon Says sell, plus she designed some stamp sets that can be purchased through the card kit and also in the store separately. But if that wasn't enough she is the designer of the exclusive dies that we featured last week. So all in all, she is one very talented girlie indeed :)

And this ….

… is the inspiration photo we have all used this week - it’s of her gorgeous kitty cat, Mannie, aww:).

The DT have all featured Basic Grey products but of course you don't have to use them to join in. But we would love to see them used if you have any.

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

…right here.

So …..

Picture 001 copy

.. this is what I did.

I used one of the new Turning Leaves Magnolia stamps – this is Tilda With Daisy & Mushrooms and I’ll do the close up and colours I used in the next pic.

The papers are all from the Basic Grey Little Black Dress  6 x 6 Paper Pack

Picture 005 copy

I’ve really fallen in love with colouring again after Claudia's class and these are the Copics I’ve used  -

Skin – E0000, E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R02

Hair – E15, E31, E33, E34, E35, E37, E50

The rest – C00, C1, G99, E43, E50, E81, R02, R05, R17, R29, R59, W00, W1, W3, W5, W7

Picture 004 copy

Oops of the little gems has slipped here :(

Slap dash Phillips strikes again!!!

The little blooms are cut with the 3 smallest dies from the Spellbinders Rose Creations set. I found some tiny red sequins in my stash and popped them in the centre before I (badly) adding the gems.

Picture 002 copy

2 of my old faves have put in an appearance as well – the good old Tilda Lace Die and Magnolia leaf and swirl die (minus the leaf bit – poor thing always gets left out!!)

Picture 003 copy

So that’s the old card done and if you get a sec, do nip and check out the challenge peeps and also the amazing cardage for the DT. Till next time have a fab day and huggiest of hugs to all

And finally, well done to our two girlies this morning - our first gold and all that is left to say is ….

… come On Bradley Wiggins – you can do it !!!!!!!
