Writing My Own Story

Hello lovely crafty peeps and hope you are all OK.
I have a card to share which I made using the most fabulous  Polka Doodles

... and here she is.

Not only is she gorgeous,  she is a dream to colour.

I used Copics  here and these are the colours I used -
Skin - E000, E00, E11, E13, R02, R05
Hair - E31, E35, E39, E50
Clothes - BV0000, BV000, BV00, BV01, BV13, C0, C00, C3, C5 RV00, RV85
Grounding - C00, C0, C4

The sentiment is wonderful I think and useful not only for card making, but also if you're a scrapbook-er  or you make albums and memory books as well.

The papers are from the Perfect Days 6x6 paper pack.
What I think is great about this pack is their versatility.

There are papers in there that are so pretty but there are also papers which would work really well for a male card.

I made the rolled rose out of a scrap of paper that was left over, but before I rolled it, I backed it with some 240gsm card. Then when I rolled it up, it sort of went crinkly and I really liked the effect it gave.

On the right hand side of the card, there appears to be a long strip of flowery paper.

The card base is 7x7" but the paper pad is 6x6 so I just cut out 2 squares and stuck them at either end.
The sentiment covers the gaps!!

Just Be Yourself

Hello crafty friends.

My card today is ...

... this one here.

I made it using the very gorgeous  Polka Doodles Ula Be Yourself

I coloured her with Copics using these colours -
Skin - E000, E00, E11, E13, R02, R05
Hair - E31, E35, E39, E50
Clothes - C00, C0, C4, C7,  R59, RV0000, RV00, RV10, RV85
Grounding - C00, C0, C4

That sentiment .......  I just love it :)

I doodled a border and cut it  out  to frame the image.
I also gave her wings a little bit of fairy dust using a Tonic Studios Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss pen.

It would have been rude not to!!

The beautiful papers are Belle Papillon
I just matted them onto a bit of  Tonic Studios Pewter Grey cardstock

I didn't use much paper here - you don't have to when they're as pretty as these are.

The lace border was made using
I added a die cut flower and leaves and some bits and bobs and that was it - all finished.
Thanks for stopping b today and hope you likee.

Hugs to all and see you soon xx

Wednesday Blues (and Browns!!)

Hello lovely crafty peeps and hope you are all enjoying this nice bit of sunshine.

The card I'm sharing today is made using the brand new  Tonic Studios Verso Daisy Lace Easel die set.

And ...

... this is what I did.

This beautiful set makes short work of putting together a nice easel card and there are lots of lovely layers to add too.

You even get some flower dies and a sentiment : )

AND there's a whopper of a layering set that works with this one so that you can mix and match - I'll share a card I made with that tomorrow.

See that ribbon?
Well it started out in life as a bit of plain white organza ribbon. I hunted high and low for some brown ribbon but could I find any???

Nope!!

So I spritzed  it with some of the new Mica Mist that is in the Woodland Walk collection which has also been released today (such lush colours).

I love the shape and detail in this set.
Right, I will be back tomorrow with another card I made using this new release.

You can see more detail plus inspiration right here

Enjoy your evening and hugs to all xx
