A Hop You Really Won’t Want To Miss :)

Picture-007web
Good morning sweet peeps and I hope that you are all OK and that you had a nice weekend – why do they go by so quickly???
Today is not only the start of the week but it’s the start of a very special week over at Lili of The Valley because it was 9 years ago  that Lisa and Laila started the company.
So to kick off the birthday celebrations we are having a competition and a fun design team blog hop!
Make sure you visit all the blogs on the list because as usual there will be hidden prizes along the way and the winners will be picked at random from the comments that are left on the cards
But we want you to get involved as well cos we have a …
BIRTHDAY CARD COMPETITION
… and it’s really easy to take part – we’d just like you to make us a card for our birthday – easy peasy :)
The design team have all made a birthday card for the hop so if you are stuck for ideas, check them out and they will hopefully inspire you.
The competition closes at 6pm on Saturday the 2nd of March
The winning card will be drawn at random ...and because it’s our 9th birthday the prize is 9 stamps of your choice worth over £40.00!
We will also pick our top 3 from the blog and the Facebook entries and these cards will be featured on the Ideas to Inspire blog
That’s not all  .… the designers of our top 3 cards will be asked to join us for a much sought after guest DT spot so there are 3 really good reasons to enter.
The rules are simple;
1. Make us a birthday card using a Lili of The Valley image and enter it using the linky on the Ideas to Inspire blog,
upload it to our Facebook page or email a picture of your card it over to admin@liliofthevalley.co.uk  ...it doesn’t matter how you enter, all the cards will go into the prize draw.
2. Mention the competition on your own blog and put this image on your sidebar
New Image
That’s it ...  and we are so looking forward to seeing all of your lovely cards!
So what did I do then?
Picture1web
This is my card and there’s a bit of shameless casing going on here from our Lou with the number 9 on the candle  - what a FAB idea
The image I used is Cake Glorious Cake and I did the Copics thing with them with these colours -
Skin – E000, E00, E11, E13
Hair – E31, E35, E50
The rest – C00, C2, RV0000, RV000, RV02, RV23, YG0000, YG01, YG03
And the papers are from the Perfect Pair paper pack – they are soooo pretty these papers.

I thought the black and white bow went with her stripy tights.
It’s made from 25mm Black No 10 Small Check ribbon from

So that’s my card done  so now on with the hop.
If you haven't been there already, nip on over to the Ideas to Inspire blog and start there then work your way through the list. There are prizes hidden along the way but we don't know where they are so to be in with a shot you need to visit us all and leave us all a comment as you go.
Here’s the blog list with the links -

Good morning peeps and a very happy Sunday to you all - I hope that you are having a great weekend :)

mag chall banner

… over at The Ribbon Girl Blog and this month we have an

Anything Goes

theme so you can get really creative and have fun.

And what is up for grabs I hear you ask?
Well we have not one, but  two fabulous sponsors again -
Magnolia and Ribbon Girl

Magnolia are sending our randomly selected winner a stamp direct from the home of Tilda and Edwin

Ribbon Girl are giving a voucher towards a spending spree in the online store.

So what did I do then?

Picture-1web

… here you go :)

I went back to the Copics for this one, even though I’m wondering if perhaps old Tilda looks nicer when she’s adorned in Sir Tim’s finest DIs!!! What do ya think peeps?

So the image I used is called Tilda with Love (I got her from Simon Says Stamp ) and coloured her with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E13
Hair – E31,E33, E35, E39. E50
The rest -  E09, C00, C2, R05, R17, R27, R59, YG0000, YG00, YG03, YG23
and her little pinny is paper pieced

Please forgive me peeps if I’ve missed any out – I did this card a few weeks ago, made my list and now I cannot find it.
That will teach me to be organised won’t it!!!

The papers are from Fancy Pants 6 x 6 THE GOOD LIFE Paper Pad and Bazzill LICORICE 6 x 6 Paper Multi-Pack, both from Simon Says Stamp

Picture-003aweb

A bow made from  Bright Red Seam Binding and topped with a  Medium Black Polka Dot Button and some black button twine – all of course from The Ribbon Girl  ….

Picture-005web

… as is the Red/White Check Bias Binding and the Medium Red Berries in the flower arrangement.

Gorgeous :)

Picture-002web

I do like red and black with kraft card – it always looks quite striking I think.

 Picture-003web

So that’s my card done and if you get a sec, do nip over and have a mooch at the challenge because the DT cardage is just beautimous.

Right, before I go, just time for my gorgeous giveaway which I should have done on Tuesday but time ran out this week. So I’m doing this today and I have this …..

kit_green

….lovely green mini ribbon kit to give to one lucky girlie, so all you need to do to win this is to leave me a comment and then leave your name with Mr Linky at the bottom and I will announce the winner on Tuesday, and hugest of thanks of course to Mary & Andrea over at The Ribbon Girl for donating this for me to give away xxxx

Righty-oh, I’m off now so enjoy the rest of your weekend.
We are having the kids for lunch (even though there isn't much meat on any of them – clearly they do not take after me then lol!!) so I need to go and make a start.

I’ll be back here tomorrow, bright and early so see you then and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Picture 005 copy

I did the sentiment panel here on the old pooter.

 Picture 004 copy

The flowers were punched using a Martha Stewart STAMP & PUNCH FLOWER Set

( I didn't stamp, I only punched lol!!)

I’m Back Again!!!!

Hi there sweet peeps and as ‘promised’ I’m back again because it’s time to nip across the pond and join our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week our theme is

White On White

Our Joy has created an inspiration board which you can see …..

… here, and isn't it gorgeous :)

This week we are showcasing Cuttlebug Products.
You don't have to use them of course , but if you have them we would love to see them.

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

… right here :)

So ….

Picture 001 copy

.. this is what I did.

Now while I LOVE white cards, I do not like photographing them. In other words I cannot photograph them, so this is actually my third attempt and as bad as these pics are, believe me they are the best of a very bad bunch, cry cry.

But I hope that they are good enough for you to get the gist.

Picture 004 copy

I used a Cuttlebug A2 Embossing Folder - Heart Blocks and then matted it onto more white card and stuck this down onto a white card base.

Then I die cut 5 of the next to largest hearts from a Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Heart Dies set, added a bit of glitter, stuck them together down the centre and then folded them inwards.

It’s a bit OTT but I quite like the effect.

Picture 005 copy

Ohh God bless SAFMAT Self-Adhesive Printing Film and all who sail in her.
I would be lost without this stuff!!!

  Picture 002 copy

No it isn't your eyes – it’s a tad on the fuzzy side, sorry!!!

I was seriously losing  the will to live with these pics :(

But you know me, I am a warts and all blogger – none of this fair weathering malarky for me lol!!!

Picture 003 copy

So that’s me pics done and I was thinking that this theme is  quite ironic because it’s started to snow here!! I really do not know what is going on with our weather at the moment – it’s all a bit weird if you ask me.

Righty-oh I’m off for the day now but I’ll see you tomorrow with something that is looooooooong overdue (red face alert).

Stay warm and dry wherever you are and have a fab day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx
