Hunny Bunnies :)

Picture 006c copy

Morning lovely peeps and what a windy day it is here in Chester today!!

Time to head over and see what’s happening at the  Lili Of The Valley Thursday challenge and as we put the clocks forward at the weekend we have a topical theme and this week our challenge is all about

Spring

And there is a …

GIFT VOUCHER[4]

… up for grabs for one lucky chicksie :).

Picture 001c copy

So this is my Spring card.

I have to say that some of the pics are a bit fuzzy and that’s becasue I got a shed load of glitter in my eyes and it was still there when I took the pics hours later so I couldn't see too well :(  That will teach me to put the glitter box down BEFORE blowing away the excess from the card (another blonde moment there!!!)

I used lots of fresh Springie colours here which I do love, especially when used with lots of white cos it really does make it look clean I think.

I  used ‘Toadstool For Two’ which is one of the new Lili Of The Valley releases and coloured it with these Copics -

BV02, C00, C1, C3, C5, E41, E42, E50, E57, R11, R17, R37, Y06, YG0000, YG01, YG38.

Picture 008c

The sentiment is from the new LOTV Additions range which is being released in the shop on 19th April  or if you can’t wait and you are going to Ally Pally, you can get it from there.

It’s one of the most useful set of sentiments you can get because you get the round stamp but the centre section is blank for you to add one of the one line greetings that are included in the set  (36 in the set I used here).  Plus it’s clear so you can see exactly where you are going, and the one lines can be used by themselves as well.

Awesome value, as you would expect from LOTV – is it any wonder we all love them :)

Picture 007c copy

Not sure you can see the papers properly here but they are a mixture of Docrafts Lemon Sorbet (the gingham)  and …

*NEW* Up Up Away 6 x 6 Premium Paper Pack

… one of these beauties which I am LOVING at the mo.

They are new in at Dies To Die For and they are First Editions 6x6 paper packs. I used Up Up  & Away which is this one but there are 6 different ones to choose from. You get 64 sheets in a pack and they are only £6.95

The doily is a Cheery Lynn die and Tracy also has these in new – you can see them here ( I used English Tea Party).

This pretty ribbon is from the yellow Special Collection Kit  from The Ribbon Girl …….

… awesome :).

The little polka dotty button is also from one of the kits.

Picture 004c copy

And of course, it wouldn't be the same without some  gorgeous Wild Orchid Crafts bloomage :)

Picture 002c copy    Picture 005c copy

So that’s me done for today – back to the grindstone now for me!!.

Enjoy your day and see you back here tomoz.

Going Back To My Roots :)

Picture 005c copy copy

Morning loverly peeps and hope you are all OK xxx

Today's card is sort of going back to the style I used to do all the time which is fairly plain, with simple lines and not much in the way of embellies. Of course the old fave glitter and ribbon are still there – but then they always were lol!!!

The card is for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Challenge which is this fab sketch by our very own Domi

… and it’s just the sort of layout I like so  I will use this again for sure, thank you Domi xxx

As usual Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a $50 voucher to her FANTASTIC Simon Says Stamp Superstore !!

If you get a sec, nip and check out the NEWEST stuff on the All New Just In Page

This week the Design Team have all used Penny Black stamps and there is a mahoosive selection to choose from in the store :)

Picture 001c copy

So this is what I did.

I used this old fave Penny Black stamp of mine – Bee Costume – which I LOVE and I coloured it with these Copics -

BV23, C00, C1, C3, C5, C7, R00, Y03, Y15, Y17, Y38

It’s a doddle to colour as well :)

Picture 002c copy

Punched flowers with a bit of doodling – oops sorry, you can see the big blob of  glue trying it’s best  to hide and not doing a very good job of it :(

Slap dash Phillips strikes again lol!!!

Picture 004c copy

Picture 003c copy

So there’s the old card done :)

Very much the old Dawny style I think but there’s nowt wrong in a bit of retro every so often …. and sadly I have plenty of retro to choose from!!! This was one of them cards that the more I looked at it, the more I like it – doesn’t happen often cos it is usually the other way around!!!

I am still hurtling round at 90mph as most of us who work in the finance sector are at this time of year (almost the end of the tax year) so it’s another quickie again. I’ll be back tomoz with my LOTV card so I’ll see you then but in the meantime, have a fab day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

White Rabbit ……

Picture 010c copy

… oh yes cos I’m late today on 2 counts!!!

But first, hello lovely peeps and hope that you are all OK and fully recovered if you were NEC-ing it at the weekend!!

Today over at the good old Papertake Weekly challenge, we have a bit of a sketch for you …

… and it’s this bad boy here.

I have to say that it is not the easiest,  or maybe that’s just me, which is kind of rich seeing as I drew i!!

And of course,  as it’s the last challenge of the month, we are sponsored by those fabulous people across the pond.

Yes it’s the one and only Simon Says Stamp

Photobucket

So…

Picture 007c copy

.. this is what I did.

I just could to wait to ink up the new hAnglar stamp which came through my door on Friday. I was going to do her all in pink but then I decided to do something a bit different and colour her blue even though she is a girl (hope I haven't given her gender identity issues!!)

I used the following Copics -

E00, E21, R11 (skin), E41, E42, E50 (hair), B0000, B000, B00, C00, C1, C3, C5, RV0000, RV000, RV10 (clothes etc)

Picture 011c copy

Fab Nitwits papers and Wild Orchid Crafts blooms and self adhesive pearls plus a bit Of Tilda Lace.

Picture 012c copy

And I am loving the new Lili Of The Valley sentiments.

How brave was I to stamp directly onto the card AFTER it was all complete – verrry scary!

Picture 008c copy

Picture 009c copy

So that’s the old card done.

Now the 2 reasons I am late today is that firstly, I packed away all my card stash cos we had visitors for dinner on Friday evening and Dicky boy did not want to look at it all weekend while I was away (that’s fair enough I suppose cos I do get it everywhere!!) but I really didn't want to unpack it all again today – not very enthusiastic I know – and it seemed to take me aaaaaaaaaaages.

And secondly, I accidently left my camera on at the weekend so when I went to do the pic, there was about as much life left in it as there was in me when I was unpacking the stash!!!

And what a fab weekend I had at the NEC :) ….

….. apart from the train breaking down on the way and me Jacqui  and Bev panicking about whether we would all actually get home as we were told that there were rail strikes (flamin trains – grrr!!).

I cannot tell you how pleased I was to have finally met up with Lols – she is just as sweet and lovely as I knew she would be xxx.  Me, Lolsie and Heather had a lovely evening on Saturday drinking Sauvignon Blanc  and gabbing and filling our faces at the hotel where we were staying :) Hope I get to hitch up again with you 2 cos it was sooooooooo nice xxx

And of course my cyber twin was there as well and I love her to bits -  quite frankly we should not be allowed out together!!! But we had a nice lunch and a catch up on Sunday. Cannot wait to see you again Mrs K, love you loads  xxx

And of course on Saturday where do you think we went in between shopping and browsing?

Picture 005c copy

Yes, Wetherspoons – just for a change!!!

I got to catch up with my lovely friend Marlene  and also Sarah Hot Shot, 2 of the most glam cardies you will ever see and both of them as lovely on the inside as they are on the outside (not fair is it!!!)

In an attempt to try and look a little bit glam (hahahaaaaaa!!) I had some false lashes put on  -  Richard said they made me look like a camel, the cheeky sod. They are only supposed to last 2-3 days but here we are 5 days later and they are still as good as new. The best £10 I ever spent cos I don't need to wear mascara. They did hurt a bit getting them put on and I said never again but I think it's a bit like childbirth, cos I have all but forgotten the stinging.

Mind you,the way I have my eyes screwed up on the pic, it look  like they were still hurting -  is really NOT attractive  Miss Piggy :(

So on that note I had better get off an get some more stuff done. Enjoy your day and see you tomoz for some Simon Stamp Stamp stuff – no sneakies today cos the camera is still charging and the card is still in bits.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Wasss Goin’ On Here????????

Picture 016c copy

Morning chicksies (and you are not seeing things – I really did use non-pastel/pale/neutral colours).

But first, HAPPY FRIDAY and hope all is well with you on  yet another lovely Spring day :)

Today over at the  Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge which is being hosted today by the sweetness that is our Pops and she has set a great challenge cos it’s time for a game of  BINGO – woohoo!!

So you just need to choose any 3 of these in a line – straight up and down or diagonally – and use them on your card.

And we have not one but 2 fab prizes today :)

A choice of ribbon kits from The Ribbon Girl

and a $20 voucher to spend in the 7 Kids College Fund  store.

Well the choice of colours today might be a shock but not the 3 things I picked ie gems, flowers and ribbon & lace!!

Picture 001cccc copy

And this is the old card.

I coloured the little Attitude hAnglar girl with these Copics -

E00, E21, R11 (skin), E21, E40, E41 (hair) E08, E51, G99, R59 W00, W3, W5, YG03, YG63 (clothes etc)

Papermania Hampstead 12

I saw these papers on offer in Hobbycraft a while ago and got them for reasons I don’t really know cos they sure as hell aint my normal thing re the colours and patterns etc.

But the more I looked at them, the more I liked them. I’m not sure if this will mean that I will use them loads, but perhaps my style is changing.

Who knows!!

Picture 005c copy

I did the rolled up flower thing here and if I did this again I would colour the back of the paper as well.

I cannot do them like Caz unfortunately cos hers are amazing – I have rolled up flower envy!!!

See those yummy pearls (OK I cheated cos these were the gems, slappity slap, naughty piggy!!)  well they are what you get if you cross these ….

60 WHITE SELF ADHESIVE PEARLS - 5mm - Click Image to Close

which are of course from Wild Orchid Crafts , with this Copic ….

Copic Ciao Marker Pen - E08 - Brown

I LOVE that rich shade :)

Picture 006c copy

I also love this ….

.. gorgeousness from The Ribbon Girl  (pics are linked peeps xxx)

Picture 002c copy     Picture 003c copy

See what I mean about the backs of the flowers?

I really think they would look nicer coloured in so maybe next time I’ll do that.

Picture 004c copy

One last pic and that’s me done for today and probably until Monday, cos I am off to the NEC bright and early in the morning – cannot wait, I really can’t.

So have a great weekend and I’ll see you then.

Sunny hugs to all xxx

Whole Lotta Punching Going On!!!!

Picture 007c copy

Yep, all the oldies, me included will be singing that one all day now – sorry chicks!!!

It’s a toe tapper lol.

All together now … ..

I have to say that I am not that old.

No really, I wasn’t even born when he did THAT song but I am old enough that I know it and knew of old Jerry Lee. Now if you young uns want to see what I’m talking about, check out the vid …… and get a load of that hair. I don’t want to think too much about what it is he is shaking, but there is a whole lot of it going on lol :)

Fantastic!!!

And sorry if you cant get it out of your head (ohhh there’s another one, God bless Kylie lol!!)

Anyway, back at the cardie stuff!!

Today over at the Lili Of The Valley Thursday challenge, we want you to

Punch It

(peeps  if you are still singing this 6 hours later, please don't do the same to me at the weekend if you see me at the NEC!!)

Look what you could win if the random bod picks you ….

GIFT VOUCHER[4]

Picture 001ccc copy

So this is what I did.

I did the cheaty McCheat thing again and used …

Picture 008c copy

…a cute square so no Copics today.

I do love these little sausages – they are perfect for all sorts of stuff and they are coloured to perfection :)

So what did I punch?

Picture 006c

Yes, it’s the circles – another cheaty McCheat for making scalloped borders.

The papers are Wild Rose Studio Polka Dots Paper Stacks which you  can get from Tracy over at Dies To Die For and the pretty self adhesive pearls are of course from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Picture 005c copy

And speaking of Wild Orchid Crafts, here’s some beautiful blooms :)

Picture 002c copy

Picture 004c copy

So that’s me all finished for today peeps.

I’m getting everything ready today for the trip to Brum on Saturday.

I’m planning to mooch about and do some catching up and maybe a little bit of shopping and of course I am going to see my lovely Mrs Kath again.  And that’s not all, cos I am finally going to meet my lovely Lols, all the way from sunny Malta :) and there’s quite a few other lovely peeps going to be there as well.

To say I cannot wait is putting it mildly.

Then on Sunday, you can catch me on the LOTV stand so if you are about,  do come and say howdy. I promise you I am not as mad as I sound on here lol (well maybe I am a bit!!)

So I am off to make a start on the packing and I’ll see you bright and early tomoz.

Enjoy your day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx
