Pink To Make The Boys Wink :)

Picture 007c copy

Hi there peeps and I hope that you are all OK today :)

It’s that time of the week when we get all transatlantic and head over to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge where this week we have our

Anything Goes theme

so time to really get creative and enjoy yourselves.

There’s a rather nice voucher up for grabs as well ….

… see what I mean :)

And the lucky winner can spend it all ….

right here.

And there’s lots of fab things that are new in so nip and check it all out here if you get a sec peeps.

Picture 001c copy

So here’s  the card and once again I couldn’t help using one of the new Magnolia stamps from the new collection. I coloured her with these Copics -

E000, E00, E11, E21, R11, R20 (skin), E41, E43, E50 (hair), R85, RV0000, RV00, RV10 (everything else)

The papers were a prezzie from my fab friend Lols thank you chick xxxx – and they are Kaiser Crafts Pink Gelato and they are beautisimous!!!

Picture 004c copy

Ohhh yes, the dynamic duo are back :)

Well they never really went away to be honest lol!! The old faithful Magnolia leaf and swirl  and  Tilda Lace Die just look so pretty IMHO

Picture 005c copy

Here’s something a bit different.

I added some Diamond Stickles to a Prima Flower, topped it with a small die cut  Magnolia Doily Flower, added a rolled rose cut from a nestie and popped a small pearl in the centre.

Then I finished it off with a few leaves punched with Martha’s Branch Punch

Picture 006c copy

A few more teeny Hero Arts 3mm pearls :)

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

And we’re done.

I’m off back downstairs in a tick. It’s gone so cold here today and we’ve been out with Kyla on the little scooter that she got from Santa. We have a cycle track near here which is fairly smooth and flat so its perfect for her to trundle up and down on and there’s not a car in sight. However there are fields either side so the wind gets up sometimes and we got back ever so slightly cold so R has lit the stove and I am going to park myself in front of it and I will not be moving for the rest of the evening lol!!

Before I go I just have to say a very Happy Birthday to my aunty who is 21 yet again today, She has been 21 for the last 50 odd years, and I'm beginning  to think she is making it up now!! Kyla and I baked her a cake this morning and verrry nice it was too. We also baked biscuits and I must confess that I thought they would end up inedible the way she was pummelling the dough, but they were actually rather nice, if a bit sickly because of the mountain of icing she dolloped  on top of each one, bless her!! That kid LOVES to bake, she really does and she puts her little heart and soul into it :)

Anyhoos, take care me darlins, have a fab evening and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Fairy Cake :)

Picture 007c copy

Hi there peeps and I hope that you all had a fab Christmas with lots of lovely prezzies and nice food :)

Today over at Papertake Weekly  it’s the very last challenge of 2011 and we have a sketch for you …

… and it’s this one here.

We are sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and there is a rather nice voucher up for grabs so if you get a sec, nip over for a mooch :)

So …

Picture 001c copy

… this is what I did.

Once again, these pics aint brill because of the light here and they don't do justice to the fabulous papers I used – more in a sec.

I used this oh so sweet Lili of The Valley fairy – she’s called Cake Glorious Cake – and coloured her with these Copics -

E000, E00, E11, E21, R11 (skin), E41, E43, E50 (hair) , C00, C1, C3, C5, C7, E35, E50,R05,, R17, R27, R59, Y02, Y11, Y17 (the rest).

I coloured the cake by wetting the paper with the blender pen, then going over the parts nearest to the icing with E50 and then going over again with the blender pen if that makes sense, as I wanted the merest hint of colour.

OMLife the papers I used are beauties. Now I have to confess that I am not one for shiny metallic types BUT as soon as I saw these I knew I wouldn’t be able to resist them. They are from the new SEI Silver Valley 6 x 6 paper packs and are available from Tracy at Dies To Die For.

Picture 006c copy

I made the scalloped border using punched circles – I like these as the scallops are big and bold.

Picture 005c copy

A double dose of delish here – 15mm black no 10 small check ribbon and a small black spotty button which are both from The Ribbon Girl.

Picture 002c copy

Picture 004c copy

So that’s the card done folks.

Our Christmas Day was lovely – we all  had a nice time and ate far too much but it’s practically the law to do that isn't it!! We left the house very early and drove to Emma’s to watch Kyla open her prezzies. The look on her little face when she realised that ‘he’d been’ was priceless and she kept saying ‘oh my gosh, oh my gosh’. She opened the mountain of stuff she’d gotten then came and gave me the biggest hug – unprompted – and said Merry Christmas Grandma. I had a lump in my throat the size of a melon I can tell you.

Then R and I went home, had our breakfast and opened our presents. R got me some new Uggs, a Kindle and a new cook book plus the usual smellies etc etc. Then it was pinny on and start getting ready for lunch - there were 9 of us this year which was very nice. I had one minor panic -  the spuds which I had part boiled to make the roasties, sort of broke up.

Ooops!!

So we peeled a few more and just roasted the broken up ones and the not broken up ones together. Guess which were the nicest? They were about as unhealthy as you could  get but they tasted wonderful!!!

So that’s me done for today. I’ll be back with some more cardage tomorrow so I’ll see you then and huggiest of Christmas hugs to all xxx

Eyes Down, Look In :)

Picture 009c copy

Hi there peeps and apols for not doing me post yesterday but I have literally risen from my bed today.

This flamin’ cold took hold and I felt plain rotten yesterday so I just hibernated. Today hasn’t been much better but I got up this afternoon and just did a bit of pottering about. I still sound like a cross between Gonzo from the Muppets and Lily Savage – it isn’t attractive at all to be truthful.

Anyway enough of all that cos there are far nicer things to talk about, such as the new challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog, and this week we are having a game of bingo.

So this is our bingo card which I think is FAB – full of possibilities, and one lucky winner will win …..

.. this voucher which they can spend ….

… right here in the store.

Picture 003c copy

So this is what I did – a vision of limes and blues :)

I went for 1 across - ribbon, gems & glitter which I’m sure will come as no surprise to anybody!!!

I used a Tilda from the  new Magnolia collection and First Edition Up Up & Away papers. I love these papers so much that I have just ordered me some more. They are gorgeous I think.

Apols by the way for the not so great quality of these pics but the light was really poor again. Don’t you hate this  time of year for that!!

Picture 008c copy

No Tilda swirls today – instead I used the Magnolia Lovely Fence Die instead. Oooh look how that paper has curled – somebody didn't put the sticky fixers in the right place - dope!!!!

I punched out some flowers and added some  Hero Arts Gemstones

Picture 004c copy

Picture 005c copy

Okee dokee so that’s me done cos it’s taken all my energy to type this out – grrr!!!

'I’ll post the PTW card tomorrow, fingers crossed, so I’ll see you then. Huggiest of hugs to all – but not too close cos I don’t want you catching this horrible lergy xxx

The Most FABULOUS Colour Combi – And No Pink In Sight :)

Picture 008c copy

Morning lovelies and don’t come too near to the screen cos I am streaming with a cold (or man flu as it is sometimes known!!)

It’s that time of the moth when we head over and catch up with the lovely Mary & Andrea over at The Ribbon Girl Blog and this month is one of my fave ever colour combis ever that doesn’t involve pink ….

colour challenge label 14

… and here it is.

There is also a super dooper prize up for grabs …

december prize

.. and who  wouldn’t want to win that bundle of gorgeousness??

Not only that but the DT cardage is just jaw droppingly fab so nip and check it all out when you get a sec. The thing I love about this team is that there are always very different styles and lots of  ideas and  inspiration :)

So …

Picture 001c copy

… here is what I did.

The image is one of the new Tildas from the latest kit  and I coloured this little sweetie with the following Copics -

E000, E00, E11, E21, R11, R20 (skin), E41, E43, E50 (hair), E0000, E40, E42, E50, G99, R02, R05, R17, R27, R59, YG01 (the rest).

All the papers are from Pink Petticoat.

Picture 005c copy

Drool drool – this 38mm faux silk ribbon is a dream to work with and makes the most stunning bows – love it :) And I topped it off with a little black small polka dot spotty button

Picture 002c copy

Picture 003c copy

So there you have it and I was quite pleased with how this card turned out.

So that’s me done – another short one cos I am not feeling 100%. We went to Cornwall for the weekend to see R’s mum and while we were there we had a  tour of a vineyard there which was amazing.  But it was unexpected and it was also very cold indeed and el dingbat here had on a black lacy top and no coat!! So that, combined with sitting in the car with his Lordship for over 6 hours while he was snotting and sneezing everywhere on Friday night clearly did not help. And just in time for 25th as well when I am cooking for 9 this year (nice!!).

Oh well, we will survive 'I’m sure. Have a great day and hopefully see you tomoz!!

Hugs to all xxx

The Birthday Girl :)

Picture 007c copy

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK today xxx

We are playing catch up again as I went on a mission of mercy yesterday to help somebody out and was late getting back home!!

And it’s my birthday today – I am verry old once again.  I seem to forget that for the other 364 days of the year lol!!! I am planning a nice quiet day but Miss Kyla, now recovered from her bug, will be round later and no doubt she will have something planned.

R got me some nice prezzies including a new supply of …

Thirry muqler Angle Eau de Parfum and Body Lotion Gift Set

… one of my faves, Angel by Thierry Mugler.

In fact I put some on as soon as I opened it.  I am still in my PJs now, which are  fleecy and practical so I look a bit of a treat  - not -  but I smell FAB!! I also got a yummy candle (a special one which I will save for very best), a Next voucher and some kitchen stuff which I wanted (boring I know but I love cooking and I will enjoy using them).

Anyway enough of all that old age malarky stuff!!.

Over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week, we have a sketch for you which was done for us by our very own Domi - thank you chick xxx

The Design Team are this week showcasing STICKLES or GLITTER and some of use have used  LA LA LAND STAMPS but of course you don't have to use them if you want to join in :)

As always there is a fabulous one of these …..

Picture 004c copy

So that’s me done and I will be back shortly.

This should have been posted yesterday of course but I had probs getting it on here.

Before I go, I’ll leave you with something  somebody showed me on YouTube – these kids are fab and this just made me smile (BEPs eat your heart out!!)

Kyla loves the wii and  this is one of her faves on Just Dance 3. Poor little poppett isn’t dancing much at the mo cos she has a bug and was doing the vom thing for most of the night. She isn't too impressed because her wobbly tooth came out during one ‘episode’, never to be seen again;!! Never mind, I told her that the tooth fairy gives extra when that happens.

Right, enjoy and I’ll be back later on.

Hugs to all xxx

Bless ‘em!!
