Pink & Pea Green Tilda :)

im

Hi peeps and sorry about the unimaginative post title today – my brain is frazzled!!!!

But it’s Friday – woohooo – and time to join in the fun with the  Just Magnolia girls.

Today we have a sketch …..

jm week 78

and here is is.

We also have a fab prize …..

DTDFvoucher

.. and it’s a fab Dies To Die For Voucher :)

Picture 001 copy

So this is what I did with the sketch – no jiggery pokery, I just used it as it was :)

I coloured Miss Tilda with a mixture of Copics and Pro Markers – you haven't heard that on here for a while have you lolxxx

blooms

The blooms are all from the wonderful Paul & Siri over at Wild Orchid Crafts and the papers are Nitwits.

The sentiment is Pink Petticoat – I used a ‘singles’ instead of the ribbon this time :)

blooms1

You can never have too many WOC blooms lol xxx

Picture 004 copy                                            Picture 005 copy

And some pics to finish.

Sorry but I short on waffle again today as I am on a REAL flyer :(

Sparkly & Oh So Cute :)

image

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK xxx

It’s that time of the week when we head over to the  Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge and this week we have a fabby Bev sketch for you -

image

- and here it is :)

I LOVED this sketch and will use it again I’m sure :)

Picture 004ps copy

And this is what I did with it.

The image is one of the new Lili Of The Valley releases that will be on sale if you are going to the NEC next week and if you’re  not then you can nab them from the website from 12th. These are just the cutest lot yet IMHO and if you have a mooch around the DT blogs, you can see the other new designs.

I coloured this sweetie with Copics,  which you can get from the loveliness that is Tracy over at Dies To Die For, in these colours -

Skin: E00, E21, R11, R20

Hair: E42, E50

Clothes:  BV0000, BV00, BV12, RV0000

And of course I went a bit mad with the old Glamour Dust as well – I always do :)

Picture 007 copyps

As well as the new images, there is also a new release of circular sentiment stamps as well and these are available as per the images.

Aren't they fabulous :)

The blooms are of course from  Wild Orchid Crafts – and they’re fabulous too :)

Picture 008copy

The gorge papers are of course from Pink Petticoat and there’s the good old MS Doily punch thrown in as well.  You can just about see one of the WOC  self adhesive pearls on there as well.

That frosty lilac colour is so pretty.

Picture 004 copy                              Picture 005 copy

Picture 006 copyps

So that’s my card for today’s challenge.

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT :)

Well I must apologise to all over at the  Simon Says Challenge because I did my card, scheduled it and it didn't appear. I usually check my blog to see if it has cos I am not good at doing this, but for reasons beyond my control ie stupid techie probs with my mouse, having to take my dearest to work cos his car was being ‘cam shafted’ to within an  inch of it’s life and then getting stuck in traffic due to a crash on the way home and then getting meself into a foul strop, I forgot!!!

So anyway I’ve re-done it  now.

So this is my second week as GDT and our challenge is

Punch ‘Em

which is probably what they wanted to do to me after a) using the wrong image last week - doh, and b) this weeks latest bloomer!!!

Picture 002 copyps

Apart from using punches and die cuts, as per the challenge, we all used Hero Arts products on our cards and Heidi and the good peeps at Simon Says Stamp have loads of goodies which you can get your mitts on.

And you can check out the new Hero Arts Holiday 2010 deliciousness right here :)

Picture 007 copy

I decided to do a little paper piecing on this card and the only thing I coloured was the crown with a gold pen. The papers are both Pink Petticoat and I used kraft card and Gingham. Don’t you just love kraft card with red, black and white!!!!

I did the sentiment on the ‘puter because it’s for someone very close to my heart who is indeed a top bird and she’s also  a bit good with these Hero Art proddies but I can’t tell you who it is just yet …..

Picture 005 copy                                      Picture 004 copy

Picture 006 copy

So that’s me finally done peeps.

It was a looooooooooooooong post today in terms of pics so I kept the waffle quite short, you’ll be glad to hear!!! . I’ll be back tomoz with something Magnolia-licious so I’ll see you then.

Have a fab day and hugs to all xxx

It’s A FAB Challenge :)

 im

Good morning peeps and hope you are all OK. The weather is again awful as I am typing this looking out of the window at a grey and drizzly Chester – grrrrrr!!!

But we have something to brighten the day and add a little sparkle over with the Papertake Weekly girls cos our challenge this week is

Sparkly & Bright

and quite simply, you just have to add something sparkly and glittery(well of course, I don't need to be asked twice to do the glitter thing)

We are sponsored by the one and only Simon Says Stamp

Photobucket

and there is a fab prize up for grabs as well :)

Picture 002 copy

So this is what I did.

Do you like that sweet little angel image? I LOVE her and she is one of the new digi Manga images which are now available at Secret Crafter and you can find her right here.

She was a joy to colour and I used Copics in  these colours -

Skin: E00, E21, R11. R20

Hair: E42, E50

Clothes: B0000, B12, W1

and these are available from the lovely Tracy over at Dies To Die For. And there are some awesome last minute Halloween offers peeps so if you haven't yet done your cards, or if you just want to nab your self a bargain,  nip over and check it all out here.

deets copy

Do you like her glittery eye shadow peeps :)

deets

The papers I used are Nitwits and the sentiment ribbon is of course Pink Petticoat. And yes, I dragged it back out of retirement peeps – the MS Doily punch is back - woohoooooo!!!!

blooms

This little arrangement was like Pringles cos once I started I just couldn't stop lol. Everything  I  used here is available from Wild Orchid Crafts. My beloved  Richard pointed out that I’d used holly leaves with the wrong flowers, Well I KNOW that dear –I think it’s called artistic licence or something along those lines.

But I think they look nice!!!!

bling

I added a little bling – like you do – well the challenge said sparkly and bright and these are very sparkly!!!

Picture 007 copy                                       Picture 005 copy

Picture 009 copy copy

Ooops – out of focus pic to finish!!!!!

So that’s the old card done and I’m off to make a start on the 20 odd things on my to do list (which doesn’t seem to be getting any shorter sadly).

Have a fab day and I’ll see you soon if not sooner peeps and hugs to all xxx

Thinking Pink For Someone Special :)

im

Hi peeps and happy Friday –woohoooo, the end of the week is here at last!!!

And we have a very VERY nice challenge for you today over with the Just Magnolia girls cos we are promoting Breast Cancer Awareness month and we want you to

THINK PINK

Not only that, but check out this fab prize here cos our sponsor today is non other than the fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts

justmagnolia-22-10

and all you have to do is to use something pink on your cards. I mean, how easy peasy was that one for me!!!! The team cards this week are super special and I think I might know why we all tried extra hard with this one.

But more in a sec.

Picture ps copy

So this is my pink fest card.

I coloured this Tilda – one of my faves cos she just looks so happy – with these Copics which of course you can get from Dies To Die For  -

Skin: E00, E21, R11, R20

Hair: E42, E50,

Clothes: E53, RV0000, RV000, RV10

paper

The papers are of course from the one and only Pink Petticoat (they are the best pink papers in the world IMHO :)) and I used Vintage Rose and Gingham in Pretty Pink. The sentiment is also Pink Petticoat and is one of the ohhh so versatile sentiment ribbons.

And the pretty  paper lace was made  using a Tilda Lace die which I got from Crafts U Love.

bow

I  wanted to keep the breast cancer theme so instead of making a regular bow, I made the ribbon into this shape and added a little cute heart button.

Picture 007 copy

Of course, it wouldn’t be the same without some Wild Orchid Crafts pretty blooms :)

Picture 004 copy                Picture 005 copy

Picture 006 copy

And there you go – one pretty pink card with loads of dimension which was made for a very special lady :)

The lady in question is someone who was diagnosed with breast cancer but then proceeded to kick it’s ugly butt right into touch and she is now celebrating her recovery :)  This lady is somebody who showed such dignity and determination throughout her treatment that it makes me quite teary just typing this.

And she continued to produce the most amazing work when she must have felt like a bag of nails a lot of the time. I don’t ever recall her moaning or complaining and she just got on and dealt with it all. In fact, she hardly missed a week, even through her chemo.

You know, sometimes you hear of people being diagnosed with this awful disease and you just know that they are going to succumb, and then you hear if others that you just know will fight it tooth and nail. I was never in any doubt that this lady was the latter.

So today I am dedicated my post here to our JM teamie, this amazing lady here ….

Yes!!! It\

Jacque my friend you are one of the most awesome people I have ever ‘not yet met’,  and I have nothing but admiration and love for you and I think the fact that the girls did 120% this week shows how dear to us all you are xxxx

So on that truly inspirational note, have a great Friday lovely peeps and have a great weekend also if I’m not back tomorrow. I’m off to collect a certain little lady later and then I’ll sort of  go into harassed grandma mode so making cards usually doesn’t get a look in. And of course we do the baking thing on a Saturday morning before her ballet class so no crafty time then!!! I find it hard to do my crafty thing when she is here now because she has all of a sudden developed about 10 extra pairs of hands and they are into all my stuff.

And I all but hyperventilate when she gets too near to my Copics!!!!!

Huggiest of hugs to all (and especially to you  sweet Jacque) xxxx

Brrrrr It’s Cold!!!!

im

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK and staying nice and warm – it’s really cold here today.

Today over at the Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge our theme is

Winter Fun

so that calls for lots of snow, snowflakes and glitter – and there are lots of Lili Of The Valley wintery images to choose from. There’s a £10 voucher to spend in the shop up for grabs so if you get a sec peeps, nip over and check it all out :)

Picture 001 copy

So I chose this cute Christmas Bunnies & Robin image and gave it the Copics and Glamour Dust treatment.

I made some ‘snow’ for the bottom of the image by trickling on some tacky glue, adding some Flowersoft (Polar White) then adding a bit more tacky glue and sprinkling on a bit more Glamour Dust.

Now peeps, it does look on this pic like someone has peed in the snow,  cos it looks a funny yellow colour – oooerrrr!!! I think if I do this again, maybe I'll try Glossy Accents instead of tacky glue and see if it makes a difference.

ps copy

It’s nice and white here which is how it looked when I first did it, but this has more to do with the editing than anything else.

The papers are Nitwits – Still Joyful Hearts – and I do love the lilac and blue colours together.  I used a fab  sentiment ribbon from Pink Petticoat and some pearl sprays and some self adhesive pearls which are available from Wild Orchid Crafts

Picture 008 copyps

I haven’t used this labels nestie in a while, naughty piggy!!!

And ooops, the widdly snow is back - naughty bunny!!!

Picture 003 copyps

Picture 004 copyps1

Still loving these angles!!!!

Oh I am such a creature of habit.

Maybe I have some sort of craft OCD !!!!!

Or maybe it’s a comfort zone thing!!!!

Picture 006ps copy

And a very glary and awful pic to finish!!!

Well that’s me done for today. Me and my new hair cut are off to do some work, collect the car from the garage, make a start on a commission, do some shopping,  finish my DT card for JM tomorrow, do some more work on the Christmas projects for a workshop we are doing in November then finally go to a networking event thing re work (I HATE them!!).

So a nice quiet day then!!!!!

I hope you have a great day and see you tomorrow with something a little  Tilda-ish,

Hugs to all xxx

Wednesday 20 October 2010

hAnglars, Hearts & Thanks :)

imps1 copy

Hi peeps and a happy Wednesday to you all :)xxx

Today’s my first week as Guest Designer for the fabulous Simon Says Challenge (poor things have got me for the next 4 weeks!!) and it’s a lovely one for me to start with.

So today, Simon Says

Give Thanks

so it’s all about thanks and thanksgiving, and look ……

… what’s up for grabs :)

Also the DT  have been contacted by a lovely and very talented lady, Vera, who is organising a card drive to send Thanksgiving cards to the elderly who live alone or in nursing homes. The Design Team has sent all of their cards to Vera for the CARING HEARTS CARD DRIVE  and if you are able to help I’m sure Vera would be so grateful.  If you get a sec peeps, perhaps you could post this on your blog and spread the word xxx

And  you can find the Caring Hearts Drive details here :)

So as we don’t have Thanksgiving here in the UK, I decided to go with a thanks / the caring hearts theme.

Picture 010 copy copy

And this is what I did.

It’s actually ….

Picture 008 copy copy

… an easel card so I am entering it into this weeks Lovely hAnglars Only challenge which this week is to make a non square easel card.

I coloured this gorgeous little H&S girl with Copics in these colours -

Skin: E00, E21, R11, R20

Hair: E42, E50

Clothes: BV00, RV0000, V12

bloom

I made a little flowery arrangement thing  out of a bit of tulle and some pretty little Wild Orchid Crafts blooms. The big bad  Deep Edger Border Punch - Flower Bed was hauled out and put to work – I thought I’d give the PATP a day off!!!

You can get these punches and your Copics from Tracy at Dies To Die For

hearts

I made 3 little ‘buttons’ out of a heart punch and a tiny hole punch then threaded them with a bit of twine.

The heart shaped base, the white frame and all the hearts on here were cut using the Wild Card Cricut cartridge. I am ashamed that I have these and never use them – yes, shame on you Miss Piggy!!!!! The frame actually cuts little holes all around the edge so I just filled them in with some  self adhesive pearls.

Did you notice btw that I’ve inked the edges again?

For some reason. every now an then I get the urge to do this, and God only knows why cos I’m not the neatest edge inker-upper by a long way.  But then once I’ve done it, I usually end up doodling faux stitching all over it!!!!

Waaahhhhh!!!!!

Right on that note, I’m off. I’m getting the birds nest that is my hair cut later. I look like a cross between Freddie Boswell and Wurzel Gummidge at the mo.

It’s not attractive!!!!

I’ll see you in the morrow for another Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge, and here’s …

sp

… a little sneakie peakie for you till then.

Have a fab day and hugs to all xxx
