Cute Lil (i) Pair :)

Picture 011c copy

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK xxx

It’s time for another Papertake Weekly challenge and this week it’s sketch time.

So here …

#51

.. is the sketch.

And …

1 copyc

.. here’s my interpretation.

I tweaked it slightly which is OK because the basic layout of the sketch is still there :)

If you get a sec, nip over to the challenge and have a butchers at what the DT did with it – all very different and all very gorgeous.

And we have a GDT call as well.

I’ve gone with sort of traditional colours but gave it a bit of a twist and used a black and red colour palette which I really do like.

It’s a very quick and easy card this because I used a Lili Of The Valley Cute Square – this is from the Christmas Is Coming set – and just added a bit of Glamour  Dust which you can just about see.

Picture 009c copy

I used some Wild Orchid Crafts blooms and leaves and I added a couple of punched holly leaves  as well, more to break up the dark colour really but it doesn’t look too bad.

Ooops I just noticed that one of me punched holly leaves has come adrift!! Why oh why don’t I ever see these things when I am taking the pics!!!

Should have gone to Specsavers Dawny :(

Picture 010c copy

The papers are of course Pink Petticoat and I used Gingham and Doodle Dots

And a couple of Tilda lace strips from Dies To Die For, some bits of ribbon strips, a couple more  punched holly and a little red rose finishes it off.

Picture 006c copy                 Picture 007c copy

Picture 008c copy

Easy peasy.

Which is how I like me Chrimbly cards cos I don’t always have time to faff about as usually I am on the last minute!!!

Right it’s a bit of a quickie today as there is lots I have to get through but have a fab day, stay nice and warm and hugs to all xxx

Not So Tildalicious :(

image copy

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK and not too cold again.

The snow hasn't arrived here as yet but it is still very cold today.

Well I tried to be a bit clever with the lovely sketch that the sweetness that is our very own Donalda did for us this week over at the Just Magnolia challenge and sadly it didn’t quite work out the way I wanted it to.

Oh well, you can’t win them all I guess!!

sketch

So this is Donalda’s fab sketch …..

Picture 001c copy

… and here is what I did with it.

I had the idea to use a different fold which you can see ….

Picture 003c

… here.

You can also see where I didn't stick the front panel down very well.

Ooops, slap dash Miss ‘warts and all’ Piggy!!!!

Picture 007c

Like the lime and lilac colour palette, bows and bells go quite nicely together don’t you think?

Picture 009c

And I stuck one bloom onto the image panel …

c

… and two on the inside of the card, the idea being that when it’s shut, the three blooms fit together as one arrangement if that makes sense.

Picture 002c copy

So that’s what I did and I have to say that I am not at all happy with how it turned out.  I don’t know if it’s because lately I have been embellishing for dear life and this by comparison is quite plain.

Possibly it is.

So anyway I thought I’d do the shopping / info bit at the end again so here we go -

Image coloured with Copics in these colours -

Skin: E00, E221, R11, R20. Hair: E42, E50. Clothes: BV0000, BV02, BV12, C00, C1, YG0000, YG01, YG03

The papers are Pink PetticoatGingham (I know. but it’s sooo pretty lol!!!) and Vintage Rose.  The pretty organza ribbon and all the blooms are Wild Orchid Crafts including the brand new Mixed Purple/White Tone Bloom Set. Finally the Copics and Tilda Lace die are from Dies To Die For.

So that’s me done for today. I may be back tomorrow if time permits but as her ladyship is in residence this evening, time might run away with me. But have a great weekend, stay warm and cosy  and I’ll see you soon.

Hugs to all xxx

Full Of Magic :)

Picture 009c

Morning lovely peeps and hope you are all OK today xxx

And a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all my pals in the jolly old US of A. Have a great time xxx

Today over at the Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge, we have a yummy sketch for you which has been done by our very own Bev

… and here it is.

Picture 002c copy

So this is my interpretation – I followed it fairly closely.

I loved this one and will use it again for sure

im copy

I also love this sweet image as well.

Isn't she lovely peeps. I coloured her with Copics in these colours -

Skin: E00, E21

Hair: E42, E50

Clothes: C00, C1, C3, RV0000, RV000, RV10, RV21

I wanted a nice chunky boa but I just couldn't get the pic to reflect this but IRL there is lots of texture and all I did was cover the boa with a thick layer of Glossy Accents, sprinkle Polar White Flower Soft over it then straight away sprinkle Glamour Dust over it. If you do this straight away, it gets in between the Flower Soft and gives it a nice sparkle.

Not that you can tell that on this pic cos it looks a bit on the murky side I think :(

Picture 004c

I bought these bows literally years ago from an on line  haberdashery called Josy Rose and I just went to have a look and they are still selling them. You can see them here

The blooms are of course from Wild Orchid Crafts

Picture 005c

What a fabulous LOTV sentiment this is. It’s one of the Dreamy Days Circular Sentiments – I like to think that there is still a bit of magic left in this awful world we live in :)

The beautiful papers are of course the always wonderful  Pink Petticoat. I used Gingham (Smoke) and Lots Of Dots (Pretty). I also used the solids on the Tilda Lace borders which you can get along with your Copics from Tracy over at Dies To Die For.   I used Silver rather than Smoke as it is a slightly softer shade.

I went around the edges of the oval nestie with some Liquid Pearls which again I have had for years and all but forgotten about, but I used them recently on another card and had another go here :)

Picture 006c copy                          Picture 007c copy

Picture 008c copy

So that’s my card for today.

Soon be Friday peeps and then the weekend is almost upon us – woohoooo :)xxx

So I’ll say tarra and see you tomorrow.

Have the fabbiest of days and hugs to all xxx

Green & Black Is Not Just For Chocolate :)

Picture 009c copy

It looks rather nice on yer cards as well!!!

Morning peeps and hope you are all managing to stay warm – brrr it’s COLD here today!!! There’s lots of pics here today so I’ll try me best to keep the waffle down :)xxx

Over at Pink Petticoat this week we’ve been sharing our ideas for a Christmas card and matching tag.

So this is what I did.

I do like easel cards but I don’t seem to make them that often,. But I did for this one and I decided to use traditional colours but give them a bit of a funky twist, so I went for a yummy pistachio bright and zingy green which I think works really well with the black and red here.

The papers that I used are ….

Gingham – just for a change I knoooooooow, but it is is so delish that I can’t help meself  (Crimson), Dotty Snowflakes (Black & White),  Lots Of Dots and Doodle Dots (Pistachio) from the Colour Collection.

The  cute little pengies are both from the ‘Have An Ice Christmas Images Stamps collection and I coloured them with Copics. The icy hill  is just a bit of white card covered liberally with Glamour Dust Glitter.

I used one of my fave sentiment ribbons, punched out a few holly leaves, added a bit of ribbon and some buttons and it was done.

Here’s some more pics with a bit more deet …..

Picture 010c copy

He is sooooooooooooooo cute I think!!!

And now for the tag …..

Picture 005c

Simple and straightforward.

The sentiment is from the Fairy Lights collection.

This is one of my fave ever PP products and  it seems that I am not alone. You can read all about it right here peeps :)

A bit more details for you :)

Now this tag can be used on its own, or you can, make a little pocket on the centre section of your easel card …..

… and pop it in there.

Brilliant idea and I wish I could take the credit for it but I cant and I won’t cos that has to go to the very lovely and oh so talented Rach.

It’s a fab idea isn't it!!

…………………………………………….

OK now for a bit of a red faced moment peeps :(

Guess who forgot to post her card for her last week as GDT over at the Simon Says Challenge?

Yes you’re right!!!

The dope struck again. I can only say that I put it to one side and then got a bti sidetracked and forgot to do it. Sop here we are – better late than never and I think this is a late record even for me so hugest of apols to the good folk at SSS. I’ve slapped my trotters till they are pinker than pink, and clashing like billy-oh with my red face  :(

aim

My fave Whiff Of Joy image – all coloured with Copics and I’m soz peeps but the list has well and truly done one by now!!

Picture 005c copy

I had an idea that I would make some snow for them to sledge along but it didn't turn out quite how I expected and I used so much glue that I warped the card.

If I’d used chipboard it might have worked a little better so maybe next time ….

Picture 003c copy           Picture 004c copy

So that’s my last card and hugest of thanks to the lovely girls over at the challenge for having me.

And on that note I’m off top do some work.

Have a fab day, stay warm and I’ll  leave you with a bit for a puzzle!!. What's pink and grey and has a bit of magic and lots of sparkle?

Picture 009sp

Here’s a clue and I’ll tell you the answer tomorrow :)

Hugs to all xxx

Pink & Pretty – Just For A Change!!!!!

 Picture 007c copy

Ohh I know, I’ve slipped back into pink mode again……. the last few cards have been awash with it but I think that tomorrow will see something bright and zingy – woohoooo!!!.

But first, I hope that everyone is well and having a good week so far :)

Today’s the day for a new challenge over with the Papertake Weekly girlies and this week we want you to

Cut It Out

which simply means that it’s time to get out the nestles, border punches, die cuts, etc etc and put them to good use.

Picture 001c copy copy

So of course, I did just that!!!

I used a couple of MS Border punches – the PATP eyelet lace punch and the flourish punch which I THINK it’s not that easy to get hold of  now as it may have been discontinued – but don't quote me on that!!! The PATP punch is available from Tracy at Dies To Die For but I’m not sure about t’other one :(

But I really like the shape is gives to the mat behind the image.

Speaking of which, this cutie was coloured with my beloved Copics – more about the in a sec – in these colours -

Skin: E00, E21, R11, R20

Hair: E42, E50

Clothes: C1, R85, RV0000, RV000, RV10, RV21, RV34, RV95

oh and there is a fair bit of bling sprinkled about as well, like ya do :)

Picture 006c copy

The beautimous blooms are all from the very lovely Paul & Siri at Wild Orchid Crafts

Picture 008c copy

The papers are all Nitwits.

And do you see those pretty pink gems? Well they started out in life as plain old boring clear ones, but a quick swipe of the Copics and they were transformed into pretty pink sparklers ( Cherie, I told you it would happen lol!!)

Picture 003c copy                         Picture 004c copy

Picture 005c copy

So that’s the old card done.

Well I had an eventful weekend – very busy but very enjoyable as I went down to Newbury to be ‘Copically’ certified – woohoooo!!

So, I can now say that I am a ……………………..

ccertifiedlogo[1]

How cool is that peeps:)

And I met some wonderful ladies as well including  Wendy who ran the course with Karen (who is my Card Making & Papercraft teamie) and I sat next to the sweetness that is Cherie from the Creative Card Crew and most enjoyable it was too. Ladies it was an absolute pleasure to meet you all, and put faces to the names xxx

So I am planning to do some Copics workshops which will hopefully help you to get the best out of these awesome little pens – and I’m sure that there will be one or two laughs along the way as well (my classes always seem to end up like that lol!!)  so if this is something you are interested in doing, please ping me a quick e-mail  (dawnyp123@hotmail.co.uk) with your name and location :)

Okee dokee so that’s me done for today. Have a great day and see you tomoz with something nice for Chrimbly.

Hugs to all xxx

The image I used is  the adorable Lily With Letter and of course she was given a bit of Copics treatment then finished off with lorry loads of Glamour Dust!!

Picture 004c copy

All the papers I used are Wild Rose Studio. I used the Spring CD for the gingham and spotty papers and pink poinsettias were cut from a sheet on the Christmas CD

I think they make a lovely border :)
